You'll just have to wait and see if a certain blue grandmother will make an appearance ;)

Thank you! I'm assuming now that everyone is older, there would be a lot more laid back conversations and teasing. Just being adults, you know?
As for Leila, we'll see what R&G think about her plans for their child. She's certainly a force to be reckoned with, unfortunately at the age of five.

As mentioned above, I see them as more laid back now and seeing as Gambit has no interest in doing any more thieving, they don't push the subject. Plus, he's on a business trip at the moment, so they're just enjoying the short time they have until they have to leave.
Read ahead and see how I portray them. I've always seen them as well... just read on, lol.
Jean means well and she's truly worried about the wellbeing of the children AND Leila. I think Charles knocked some sense into her that she can't just do things on how SHE'S feeling. Let's see how R&G feel about all this.
Ha, well it wasn't so much as a shock as it was confused like, "Wait a minute, weren't you wearing clothes when we went to bed?" This is pretty much me. I'll go to bed in a shirt and sweats and in the morning I'm naked due to how hot it is here in the South. Fans and A/C don't cut it, so imagine not having that... Yikes! As always, thanks for your reviews!
WARNING: LOVE SCENE
The time had come and they piled in the rental car Gambit and Rogue had and head toward the Boudreaux house. As they made their way closer, Gambit couldn't help but think about his past. It jumped to the surface of his mind and he couldn't shut it off. The memories, they weren't all bad. Most of the times were good. Especially when it was just Bella Donna and him.
"Ya alright?" Rogue asked, seeing him intently looking out the window.
"Yeah." He said forcing a smile. "Jus' t'inkin'."
Rogue gave him a warm smile as she pat his thigh, "Y' sure y' wanna do dis?" Henri asked as they stopped at the dirt road that lead to the house.
"Oui." Gambit said, reaching forward and patting Henri's right shoulder.
Pulling up to the large house, five large men equipped with armor everywhere walked out and met them. Getting out of the car, they all walked around to the right side and faced them. Stepping closer, Gambit put his hands up to show them they were there peacefully.
"Boujour." He greeted them. "Need t' talk t' Belle."
The man in the middle walked closer and glared into Gambit's eyes letting out a scoff. "Wha' chu wan'?" He asked in a low, gritty voice.
"Tol' y'. Jus' wanna talk t' Bel-"
The man backhanded Gambit across the face. "Don't ta'k like y know her." He growled.
"Attendez!" Henri said, stepping forward with his hands up. "We jus' wanna speak t' Bella Donna." He said.
Gambit looked back at the man and smirked, tasting his own blood. "Look like y' don' know who I am, mon ami. You new here?" He asked, seeing that piss the man off.
"Shut de' hell up, Remy!" Henri whispered to him. "Jus' wan speak t' her, den we's gone."
The man looked at the other three before he turned and head toward the door. They all followed and walked into the foyer. The door closed loudly behind them and the men just stood there watching them.
"Well, dis is different." Gambit said as he looked at the men.
He watched as the ringleader whispered something into a comm link on his wrist and then he turned to stone, watching them again.
"Ya alright, hun?" Rogue asked, gently touching the cut on his lower lip.
"Oui." He said as they heard the click of shoes getting louder and louder, causing them to look at the top of the stairs and he froze.
There she was. He hadn't seen her since she had crashed their wedding, but she still looked the same. Her blond hair was still fixed the same and it cascade down around her shoulders.
"Bonjour." He softly said, just loud enough for her to hear.
She glared at him before she looked at the others, focusing on Rogue. "Bonjour." She said, her voice soft but firm. "T' wha' d' I owe de pleasure, Mr. LeBeau?"
Gambit took a few steps forward. "Need t' talk t' y'." He said. "'Bout somet'in' très serious."
"D'accord." She said. "Qu'en est-il de?"
"Non." He answered, shaking his head and looking at the five men that stood there watching them. "En privé."
Raising her eyebrow, she slowly made her way down the stairs and towards him. "Fine." She said as she took a right. "Laisse nous."
At her command, the men went out the front door and left them alone. They followed her into the dinning room where an elaborate table sat in the middle. The grandfather clock ticked loudly at the end of the room and paintings scattered the blue painted walls. It all looked the same to Gambit and he finally made eye contact with her once she turned around.
"What is it?" She asked in French, giving him a slight glare.
She was being extremely bitchy. "Need to talk to you about a murder we witnessed." Remy replied in the same tongue.
She smirked. "Well, there are a lot. Which one in particular?" She asked.
"Sydney." He said.
"Hmm." Bella Donna said as she walked closer to him. "Wha' 'bout Sydney?"
"Need t' know if y' had any dealin's wit' anyt'in' t'ere." He said.
Looking over his face, she then looked at Rogue. "Non." She said shaking her head as she still kept her eyes on her.
Rogue was getting a little annoyed at her attitude. "Ah saw a man that looked like Henri makin' a deal with someone." She spoke up, causing Bella Donna to cock her head to she side.
"Henri be right t'ere, chère. Why don' y' ask 'im y'se'f." She said, coolly.
"Belle," Gambit started, knowing she was putting up a front and acting the part of the Guild Leader. "Y' don' gotta act like dis. Not wit' me."
"Come wit' me." Bella Donna said, motioning for him to follow as she walked toward and door on the right. "Jus' you."
Gambit looked at Rogue and winked at her before he followed, closing the door behind him.
"Why'd chu bring her?" She asked.
"Assumin' y' mean Anna?" Gambit asked back. "We be on a mission. Brought us here."
"Why did y' bring her t' my home?" She asked. "Y' know how insu'tin' dat is?"
"Don' mean not'in' by it, chère." He said, seeing her let go of the front she was carrying in the other room as she leaned against the wall sort of defeated. "I'm sorry."
"Fo'?" She asked.
"Yo' père." He said. "Didn' know he died 'til dis mornin'."
"Merci." She softly replied as she walked closer to him. "Yo' daddy helped out a lot durin' dat time. Helped me out, dat's fo' sho'. Dat's why we formed a truce. I didn' wan deal wit' all dat shit m' daddy dealt wit'. Dat was a headache I didn' wan t' take on. Plus, I be tired o' all dis."
"Look like y' didn' need me here t' have peace b'tween de guilds, no?" He said, seeing her smile a real smile.
"Non." She said, looking up into his eyes. "But it woulda been nice t' have y' here."
They were silent for a moment before Bella Donna reached out and picked a piece of tree blossom off of his shirt.
"Look, Remy." She started, placing her hand against his right pectoral. "I can tell y', honestly, dat we had not'in' t' do wit' any kinda murda in Sydney."
"Dat's all I needed t' know." He said as he took her hand from his chest and continued to look into her blue eyes.
"How long y' here?" She asked, slowly pulling her hand away and taking a few steps back.
"Leavin' t'morra." He said, seeing her purse her lips together. "Short trip, but we be back."
"Brin' all de chil'ens dat time I assume?" She asked with a smile.
He smiled back. "Jus' de one." He said.
"Well, de nex' time y's in de area, drop by. I'd love t' see how big dat petit get." She said, causing him to smile wider.
"Well, de nex' time we's in de area, t'ose connards betta know who I am or dey gettin' blown de fuck up." He said, making her laugh.
"Dey mean well. Jus' doin' dey job." She said, crossing her arms just under her bust. "It's good t' see y' Remy."
He smiled warmly at her. "Good t' see y' too, Belle."
Rogue was growing impatient as she waited for them to return from that other room. She watched as Emil, Henri and Mercy all walked around the room inspecting everything. Henri stood just to her left and she suddenly saw the same angle that was in the boy's memories. She looked over his head and noticed Henri had a mole just behind his right ear. That was it. The man in the memories didn't have a mole. So...where was she suppose to find the man without the mole?
Her thoughts were interrupted when the door opened and Gambit walked out with Bella Donna following. "Allons-y." He said to them.
"Jus' like dat?" Henri asked, looking at Gambit before looking at Bella Donna.
"Assassins had no part in dat murda." Bella Donna said. "Dat be m' word."
Three men entered the dinning room, two of which were wearing masks, and they stood at the doors ready to escort the four back to their car. One man led the way and Rogue followed behind him as well as the other three, including Bella Donna.
When they reached the car, Gambit turned to Belle and smiled. "T'anks fo' y' time." He said.
"Absolument." She said, smiling back up at him. "Good luck wit' dat murda."
"Merci." Gambit said.
"Look like yo' answers back in Sydney, t'ief." The man that wasn't wearing a mask said.
Bella Donna turned to him and cocked her eyebrow. "None o' us say anyt'in' 'bout Sydney." She said as she walked up to him.
The man gulped loud enough for them to hear. "I-I was jus'-"
"Jus' wha'?" Bella Donna asked angrily, grabbing him by the throat. "Y's doin' y' own work? Wha' chu know 'bout dat murda? Did y' kill dat boy, Francis?"
"Non!" He plead, trying to adjust the grip so he could take in a breath. "Dat wasn' me!"
"Y' gon tell dem eve't'ing y' know. Comprendre?" Bella Donna asked.
"Oui!" Francis said without hesitation as she let go of his throat.
"Get inside." She commanded and Francis did as he was told, followed by everyone else.
They came into a darker room with a large throne-like chair at the far end. Two guards dropped Francis in the middle and Bella Donna took her seat in the chair.
"Remy," She began. "Y' an' Anna go on an' ax 'im any questions y'all wan'. I make sure he answer trut'fully."
Stepping around and facing Francis, Gambit looked down at him. "Gimme de names o' all t'ose involved." He said.
Francis looked up at him, but didn't speak. "Y' bes' be answerin'." Belle said from the chair.
Taking out her phone, Rogue got ready to record the names of whoever he was about to tell them.
Francis took in a deep, stuttering breath. "Curtis Mallain." He said, taking a pause for another breath.
"Qui d'autre?" Gambit asked, taking a step closer.
"Richard Matthews, Andrew Nockston, Billy Chisholm, Luke Devo." He stopped. "Dat's it."
"Are dey still in Sydney?" Gambit asked.
Francis shook his head. "Non. Dey's scattered." He said. "Chisholm be in New York now. Say he had a job."
"Did he shoot tha boy?" Rogue asked as she walked over and beside Gambit.
"Non." He shook his head.
"Ya know, ah could just absorb his memories." Rogue said to Gambit, purposely loud enough for Francis to hear. "Get tha information we need instead of playin' this little game."
Crossing his arms, Gambit tapped his chin with his index finger. "Vrai." He said, glancing at Rogue. "Don' t'ink Belle need dis homme alive no more, eh?"
"Matthews shot de boy! Fo' all I know, he still in Sydney!" Francis said quickly.
"Who do these guys answer to?" Rogue asked, stepping in front of the man.
Francis shook his head. "Don' know, I swear!" He said. "Matthews'll know! He tol' me he worked fo' someone higher!"
"We met Nockston." Rogue said. "What's his role in all this?"
"Info'mation." Francis said, swallowing hard. "Please! Dat's all I know!"
"Alright." Rogue said, turning to Gambit and showing him the whole conversation she recorded on her phone. "That's a start."
He smirked at how clever she was before he looked back at Bella Donna. "We's done. He be all your's, chère." He said to her.
"Good. I need t' remind him 'bout de consequences o' doin' business outside de guild. Jusqu'à ce que nous nous reverrons, mon chère." Bella Donna said as she stood and walked down to Gambit, giving him a kiss on the cheek before she smiled at Rogue and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Take good care o' him, chère."
"Ah always do." Rogue smiled at her as Gambit took her hand and they left the room and head back to the car. "We lucked out with Francis."
Gambit nodded as Henri pulled the car away and down the dirt road. "Oui." He said. "T'ere somet'in' in t'ose memories dat drug us here, b'sides Henri. Y' seein' anyt'in' else in dem?"
Rogue shook her head. "Tha boy's been locked up in dark rooms." She said. "He only saw tha outside when he was forced ta go do work for whoever's in charge. Remy, ah think it's time ta just hand this back over ta Betsy. Ah wanna go home. Ah'm tired of travelin'."
He smiled at her, placing his hand on her thigh. "Den we go home and stay t'ere." He said, planting a kiss on her cheek.
"What are you doin' in here?" Wolverine asked, finding Leila in his room coloring her homework. "You should be in class."
"I don't like my classmates." Leila said as she went back to coloring as Wolverine walked over and sat down in front of her on the floor. "And Jeanie is helping Dani right now, so I can't go in there yet."
"Did you leave without permission?" He asked.
"No." Leila shook her head before she looked up at him. "I made Ms. Rikki let me leave." She said nonchalantly.
Wolverine's eyes slightly widened as she went back to coloring. "Leila, you can't be using your powers like that." He said calmly as he placed his hand on her head and stroked her auburn hair. "All of the students here have to go to class. Not everyone likes each other here, but they go to class together. Here, let's go back to your class and-"
"No." Leila said with an attitude, looking into his eyes. "I don't want to."
He paused all movement as her eyes turned black and red like Gambit's. For the fear of pissing her off, he put his hands out.
He wasn't ready to see what all her powers could do. "Alright, darlin'." He said. "How about we head to the zoo. Let's just go have fun. Sound good?"
"Yeah!" She said as she hopped up and took his hands. "Let's go!"
As he stood up, he grabbed his keys and they head out of his room and down stairs toward the garage. 'We're fucked.' He thought to himself as they head toward the sedan with her booster chair mounted inside. "Alright, let's go." He said as he buckled her in and they head toward the zoo.
They immediately head to the giraffes where she got to feed them. They stayed there for fifteen minutes before Wolverine coaxed her into getting something to eat. After their snack, they visited the monkeys before they went to see the big cats. Ending their trip with the penguins, they head back to the school. Leila fell asleep on the way back, so Wolverine brought her in carefully and took her up to his room where he gently placed her on the bed. Heading downstairs, he quickly head to Jean's office.
"Logan." Jean said, seeing his worried expression. "Is everything alright?"
"No." He said, placing his hands on her desk and leaning closer to her. "Leila used her powers to make Rikki let her leave class today. I found her in my room."
"What?" Jean asked, her eyes going wide with the news. "Where is she now?"
He jut his head back toward the door. "In my room asleep." He said. "I took her to the zoo to get her mind off of it. I suggested we go back to class and then her eyes went black like Remy's. What the fuck is going on?"
Jean sighed as she rubbed her face. "Leila's powerful." She said. "Plain and simple."
"Obviously." He let out a sigh before standing up straight and placing his hands on his hips. "When are they coming back?" He asked.
Looking up at him, Jean could see how worried he was. "Tomorrow." She said. "I'm planning on talking with them about several things regarding Leila development, so don't worry."
"We can't have her taking people's minds over and making them do whatever the fuck she wants, Red." Wolverine said, slightly raising his voice. "We've gotta nip this now before something else happens."
"You think I don't know that?" Jean asked, getting a little upset. "If I could I would, but we have to wait until Remy and Anna get back so I can talk to them. It isn't my right to do anything without their permission."
Wolverine huffed as he placed his hands back on her desk. "Something needs to happen to suppress that powerful ability. She ain't ready for that." He said. "Maybe Beast has some medication that'll-"
"No!" Jean cut him off as she stood up and glared at him. "We will NOT drug up a child on medications. What the hell are you even suggesting Logan? Her parents would be furious!"
Sighing, he shook his head. "I'm sorry." He said, calming his voice. "I'm just thinking out loud."
"I know." Jean said as she walked around her desk and placed her hand on his shoulder. "I'm just as scared as you. This is a new one for us and none of us know how to deal with it. Just know, it's top priority to talk with Remy and Anna once they're back and settled in."
"Alright." He said, forcing a smile. "I'll get outta your hair."
"Do keep me posted of other events until they return." Jean said as she pat his shoulder.
When they arrived back, everyone was getting ready for the party tonight. More people arrived and introduced themselves to Rogue and around six that evening, the music started up. People were popping beers and talking. Some were telling stories about years ago and others were playing games. Sticking close to Gambit, Rogue took a beer and popped the top before taking a sip.
"Wha' y' t'ink?" He asked smiling at her.
"Ya family and friends are wild." She said, smiling up at him. "But it's nice. I like seeing everyone have a good time."
"Anna?" She looked to her right to see Emil. "May I have dis dance?"
She smiled, "Sure sugah." She said as she handed Gambit her beer. "Ah'll be back, lover."
Gambit shook his head and watched as they danced to the fast Zydeco song. He smiled as he watched her laugh and dance. She was cutting loose, that was for sure.
"Get out t'ere an' dance." Mercy broke his train of thought. "Yo' wife dancin' wit' yo' cousin."
He smirked as he downed the last of his beer and set Rogue's down on the grass by the tree. "T'ink I will." He said as he walked over and grabbed Rogue, spinning her to face him.
She smiled wildly as she looked over his smirking face. They danced for several more songs before they took a breather and got some food and a few more beers. They chatted with the people that were under the tree with them before they went back out and danced with the others. A fast jazz song came on and Gambit grabbed her hand and her waist and started to dance with her. Rogue laughed as she stepped on his feet over and over again, but he kept on insisting that she follow his lead. When a slower song played, he slowed down and pulled her close, resting his cheek on the side of her head as they swayed slowly. Rogue let out a sigh as she rest her head against his shoulder as he led her in their dance. Getting another beer, the songs picked up again and Rogue was more than ready to get out there and dance.
"Come on, Remy!" She said as she sat her empty beer can down and grabbed his hand. "Lets get out there."
He could tell she was getting drunk and it made him laugh. "A'right." He said as he quickly walked over with her where everyone else was dancing.
They danced to several more fast songs before another slow one came on and Rogue took the opportunity to have another beer. As she took a few sips, she heard Gambit chuckle, so she looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"What's so funny?" She asked.
"Y' gettin' drunk, girl." He said, placing his hand on her back. "Y' sure y' wanna be downin' t'ose?"
Rogue smiled. "Listen, ah'm gonna have fun tonight and ah'm gonna drink as much ah want." She said, more sassier than she planned.
"Yes'm." He said as he took the beer from her and took several swigs before she took it back.
"Ass." She said as she drank it down.
"Damn." He chuckled as she grabbed him by the shirt and they went out to dance some more.
The night went on and many more beers were downed before it started to rain on them around one in the morning. Stopping the music, they quickly brought in all the equipment and continued their party indoors. Standing by the stairs, Rogue tried to fluff her wet hair as she watched everyone continue to talk, dance, laugh and drink. She jumped when she felt a hand on her waist and smiled when she noticed it was Gambit.
"Ah'm ready ta call it a night." She said as she moved in and kissed him.
"A'right den." He said as he took her hand and led her up the stairs.
Opening his bedroom door they walked inside and Rogue immediately jumped on him, causing him to stumble back and slam the door shut. He didn't have time to say anything as she started to kiss him. Laughing, he pulled her off and looked into her eyes.
"Y' drunk as fuck, girl." He smirked.
"Ah don't care." She said as she pressed herself against him and kissed his chin. "Make love ta me."
He lightly laughed. "Don' t'ink y's gon remember anyt'in' t'morra." He said as she started to unbuckle his belt.
"Ah don't give damn." She said as she shut him up with a kiss before she pulled away. "Please, Remy. Ah want ya so bad."
"Slow down girl." Gambit said as he pulled his belt out of the belt loops and dropped it to the floor. "Damn, Anna. I ain' seen y' dis drunk b'fo'."
She giggled as she grabbed him by the collar. He watched her as she tore his shirt down the center and dropped it to either side of him.
"Now shut up and work ya magic, Cajun." She said as she walked up to him and kissed him.
Wrapping his arms around her, he picked her up and took her over to his bed. Breaking the kiss, she stripped from her top before she kissed his neck and then collar bone as he unclasped her bra. Tossing it behind him, he grabbed her face and kissed her, letting her get lost in the moment before he reached down and unbuttoned her jeans. Leaning back on her elbows, she watched as he grabbed the top of her jeans and pulled them off quickly, causing her undergarments to follow.
She watched as he unbuttoned his pants before he leaned over her body and kissed her chest, licking up to her neck and kissing her lips. He could taste the beer on her mouth as he kissed the corner of her luscious lips. She was growing impatient and started tugging a this jeans, but he pulled away.
"Do y' want me t' make love t' you or fuck you?" He asked, looking down at her. "Y' need t' slow down."
Rogue couldn't help but giggle uncontrollably as he went back to kissing her chest and then working his way down her stomach. She closed her eyes and let out a soft moan once he reached between her legs. The sound of the music downstairs and the rain beating against the window was drowning out her heavy breathing as continued for several more minutes, pleasuring her. A few more moments and she approached her climax, moaning loudly. Once her body relaxed, Gambit got off the bed and stripped from his pants and shoes. Crawling back up her body, he kissed her neck and trailed the kisses up to her right ear before he planted a soft kiss on her lips.
Wrapping her arms and legs around him, Rogue pulled him down on her. "Stop stallin'." She said, breathlessly.
He chuckled as he teased her before slowly pushing his way inside, causing her to let out a long satisfied moan as he started his slow thrusts. She clawed at his back before her fingers went up to his hair and gripped it tight. She planted another kiss on his lips before she threw her head back and closed her eyes tight at the sensation.
The party continued on downstairs and the rain beat harder against the window as they continued on. Reaching up, Gambit took hold of the headboard and placed his right hand just under Rogue's left armpit, wrapping around her as he thrust a little faster rocking her body.
"God." She moaned as she cupped his face and kissed him before she kissed his left ear. "Yes."
Her soft husky voice turned him on even more as he got off of her and sat back in the center of the bed. Pulling her to sit up, he brought her closer and into his lap where he then guided himself back inside her as she started to grind against him. They looked into each other's eyes for what seemed like forever as the pleasure intensified. Reaching up, Rogue grabbed him by the top of the shoulders and gripped tight. She was getting close again.
Grabbing her by the waist, he moved her faster and harder against him causing her to let out a staggering breath along with a moan as she pressed herself against him. Her breathing quickened and it suddenly turned into light whimpers.
"Ah'm comin'!" She said breathlessly into his ear once more. "Yes, baby!"
Feeling her walls close around him, Gambit let out a light moan as he found her lips and kissed her as he let her come down from her high slowly. He gave her a devilish grin as he placed his hand on the back of her head and pressed his lips against hers again before he pushed her back against the mattress. Mounting her once more, he pushed inside and thrust harder and faster.
Rogue let out moan after moan as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back. "Don't ya dare stop!" She moaned loudly. "Yes!"
Keeping the speed, he felt his abs protest as he kept on. He let out a few moans of his own as he started to slam harder inside her, causing their skin to clap at each meeting. Her legs came up and wrapped around him again as he picked up his speed once more.
"God, Remy!" She moaned loudly as she leaned her forehead against his right shoulder. "Yes!"
He let out a few whimpers before he moaned loudly into her ear. "I'm comin'." He said breathless as he kissed her neck before he moaned louder.
Rogue moaned loudly as he slammed inside her and kissed her lips passionately as his orgasm hit him hard. He moaned and whimpered under their kiss as his spasms slowed. His arms were like jelly as he pushed himself up and moved to her right, collapsing beside her and looking into her eyes. She giggled as she rolled over and kissed him again before she nestled close.
"Mm, lover." She said, still trying to catch her breath as she kissed his left shoulder.
He smirked at her as he wrapped his left arm around her. "Dis de best mission I ever been on, no?" He asked, making her laugh uncontrollably.
Looking to his right, he saw it was almost three so he rolled on to his left side and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. He took in her scent of perfume, Dixie beer, Cajun food and the marshy swamp as he closed his eyes. She was still so drunk and he knew she'd feel like utter shit tomorrow, so he lay still and let her fall asleep in his arms.
A/N: Slowing down with the sex for a bit.
