Thanks for the review, chere! Yes, Remy is in for a fun time with these ladies. Hopefully Rogue doesn't start her morning sickness for a while.
As for moving them to California, you'll have to wait and see ;)
NOLA lessons are hard to do. It's hard to imagine what it would actually sound like. That's the best I can do. *shrugs*

News indeed! What a surprise!
You'll have to read on to find out if they go to California or stay ;)

Yes. All that sex on the mission had to produce a child. Plus, Hank helped a little ;)
Cali or no Cali? We'll find out!

"I mean, that's just how I feel. You know, Mrs. LeBeau?" The young student said as he sat across from Rogue.

Leaning forward, Rogue inwardly sighed. "Listen Christopher," She said, making sure he was listening. "Not everyone is gonna like ya and that's just how life is and that's okay. You just focus on you right now. Focus on gettin' your work done and gettin' your powers under control and then ya can work on relationships." Leaning back in her chair, she placed her elbows on the arm rests. "Besides, ya too young ta be dealin' with tha mess and headaches of relationships right now. Just wait a few more years for that. Don't go seekin' it out. It'll find ya."

Christopher sighed. "I know." He said, looking down at his feet. "I just really want to be in a relationship."

"Ah get it." Rogue said. "Trust me. Ah do. Relationships are wonderful, but ya sixteen, hun. Ya ain't old enough to understand all that and ah ain't sayin' you're dumb or anything like that. Being in a relationship can be tiring, maddening, frustrating. Especially when you're young. Ya not quite sure what love is or what it should feel like. Trust me. Ah been there."

"So I should give up on Amanda?" Christopher asked.

"For right now, absolutely." She said, giving him a motherly smile. "Especially since she's saying ya harassin' her."

"But I didn't-"

"Ah know." Rogue said, putting her hand up to cut him off. "That's just how she sees it. Just give her space from now on and focus on ya schoolin', alright?"

"Alright." Christopher said, smiling back.

"Good." Rogue said as she stood up and walked around the desk. "Come on." Christopher stood and Rogue wrapped her left arm around his shoulders. "Promise me ah ain't gonna see ya in here again."

"Yes ma'am." Christopher said as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and left her office.

"Lord." Rogue sighed as she turned and walked back to her desk and sat down. "Time ta get this place organized."

Taking the files of the most recent students that came to visit her, Rogue placed them in the bottom left drawer for future review. They were all good kids, just missing their home and their parents and just trying to fit in. Rogue remembered what it was like when she first joined this school. She had to earn everyone's trust and looking back, she didn't blame them for watching their backs.

Rogue smiled. That seemed like such a long time ago.

"Hey kid." Rogue looked up to see Wolverine at the door.

She smiled. "Hey. Come on in."

Walking into her office, Wolverine crossed his arms over his chest. "I saw Christopher leavin' your office just now." He said.

Rogue sighed. "Tha boy needs ta soak his crotch in ice cold water." She said, making Wolverine chuckle. "He's hung up on Amanda and she's feelin' harassed."

"Yeah I know." Wolverine said. "It's obvious he wants to knock boots with her and she's giving all the signs that he needs to step the fuck off."

Rogue couldn't help but laugh. "He's thinkin' with tha wrong head." She walked around to where Wolverine was and hugged herself. "Ah'd be perfectly fine if she gave him a punch in the face. No means no."

"I agree." Wolverine said, taking a look around the room. "Where's the princess?"

"Stomach bug." She said. "Remy's watchin' her today."

"Damn. That sucks. Poor thing." He said, placing his hands in his pockets. "I'll go visit her in a bit. Try and cheer her up. That shit is the worst."

"Yes it is." Rogue said. "Ah'm gonna be puking up a storm soon, myself."

Wolverine raised an eyebrow. "You feelin' sick?" He asked.

Rogue smiled. "Not like that." She said. "Ah found out yesterday that ah'm pregnant."

"That's great!" He said as he moved in and hugged her. "I know you two have been tryin' for years. Congrats, kid."

"Thanks, hun." She said. "Now tha next step is findin' a house. Family's growin' mighty fast."

"Still gonna adopt?" He asked.

"Yep." She said with a smile.

Wolverine gave her a warm smile. "I'm happy for you two." He said, moving in again and hugging her. "Y'all are great parents."

"Aww, thanks." She said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Hell, we're tryin'."

"Well it shows." He said as he winked at her. "You need anything? I'm heading to the store."

Rogue shook her head. "Nah, ah'm fine. Thanks, though." She said as he waved to her before he left her office.

Letting out another sigh, Rogue looked at the large window that was in her office. She smiled seeing the big, fluffy clouds against the blue sky. It was a beautiful October day. The weather was finally starting to drop into the lower sixties and upper fifties as they approached Halloween and would continue to drop. That reminded her. She needed to figure out their couples costume for the Halloween party that they had planned for the staff. Sitting back down at her desk, she opened her laptop and began to search for ideas.

Sitting beside Leila on her bed, Gambit has his laptop in his lap and they were watching several of her favorite TV shows as she rested her head against the left side of his chest. Gently stroking her hair, he kissed the top of her head before he pulled Freddie closer to her and smiled when she wrapped her arms around the stuffed Giraffe.

"Y' hungry yet?" He softly asked.

"No." Leila replied softly without moving.

"Need t' try an' eat somet'in', petit." He said, stroking her hair again. "Yo' body need fuel."

"Try this." They looked up to see Wolverine in the doorway.

Leila smiled widely as she stayed leaning against Gambit. "Hi, Uncle Logan." She said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster.

"Your mom said you were sick, so I came to see if a Popsicle would do the trick." He said, tearing open one and handing her the grape flavored treat.

Taking it, she put it in her mouth and snuggled close to Gambit. "Hasn' eaten all day, mon ami." Gambit said, looking up at Wolverine. "Can' even get her t' eat crackers."

"Don't blame her. Stomach is in a sensitive state right now and she knows it." Wolverine said with a smile as he watched her. "By the way, congratulations on the new one."

Gambit's smile grew wider. "T'anks." He said, stroking Leila's auburn hair again. "Quite de surprise, but couldn' be happier."

"Anna said you guys are going to look for a house." Wolverine crossed his arms over his chest. "Y'all gonna stay close?"

"Would like to." Gambit said, seeing the next show about to start and Leila's eyes glued to the screen. "If we can' find anyt'in' we like, gonna have one built."

"You think it'll be built in time for the baby or even when the adoption happens?" Wolverine asked.

"Well, don' know when or if de adoption happenin'." Gambit said, smiling when he heard Leila let out a deep sigh so he gave her and hug. "But de house could be built befo' de baby comes. I make sure o' dat."

"Let me know if I can help you guys. You know I don't mind watching this one anytime." He said.

"Will do. T'anks, Logan." Gambit said with a smile.

"Anytime." He said as he looked at Leila. "You get yourself better, darlin'. Okay?"

"Okay." Leila said softly as they watched Wolverine leave.

"Dat taste good?" Gambit asked, watching Leila suck on the Popsicle.

"Mm hmm." She said, eyes still glued to the screen.

He smiled as he kissed the top of her head. "Y' like dis show?" He asked.

"Mm hmm." She answered, still watching the laptop.

Pulling his phone out, he shot Rogue a quick text, asking if she could bring him something to eat. He was really hungry and he hadn't left Leila's side since Rogue went off to do her job. It was now just after two o'clock and his stomach was protesting the unplanned fast. About fifteen minutes later, Rogue walked in with a smile as she handed the sandwich she made over to Gambit.

"How ya feelin', baby?" Rogue asked.

"Mm." Leila moaned as she continued to watch the show.

"Can' get her t' eat anyt'in'." Gambit said.

"Ah don't like eatin' after throwin' up all night either, but Leila," Rogue said squatting down beside her. "Ya gotta try and eat some crackers for daddy. Ah know it doesn't sound good, but ya need ta, alright?"

Leila buried her face in Gambit's chest and whined. "I don't want to throw up any more." She said as she started to cry.

"Ey." Gambit said, getting her attention. "Y' haven' t'rown up in several hours. Try a cracker, eh? Jus' one, fo' me?" He pouted, making her smile.

"Okay." She said as she sat up and watched her dad grab the sleeve of crackers and open them.

"T'ere." He said, handing her one little square.

Taking a small bite, she rested her head back on his chest as she continued to nibble on it. "Ya need anything else?" Rogue asked, looking at Gambit.

Letting out a sigh, he smiled at her. "Non." He said. "T'anks fo' de sandwich."

"Mm hmm." She said before she blew him a kiss and left the room.

"I'm gonna go clean out dis bucket." He said, kissing the top of her head.

"Okay." She said.

Setting the laptop down on the mattress he picked up the bucket and walked into the bathroom where he placed it in the tub. Taking out the cleaning supplies, he washed it out and disinfected it before doing the same with the tub. Washing his hands thoroughly, he returned to Leila's room and smiled when he saw her eating the sandwich Rogue had brought for him.

"Ey." He said, getting her attention and chuckling when she smiled playfully at him. "Dat's my san'wich."

Leila giggled as she went back to watching her show.

"Jus' glad yo' feelin' like eatin'." He said, sitting back down beside her on the bed. "Don' be overdoin' it."

"Ah know for a fact Remy has a suit like that." Rogue said to herself as she scrolled through photos of couples Halloween costumes. "We could make this work. Should ah buy a wig or dye my hair?"

"Don' y' dare touch dat hair, girl." Gambit said as he walked in with Leila in his arms.

Rogue smiled as she stood up and walked over to them. "Hey, how ya feeling?" She asked, placing her hand on Leila's forehead.

"Fine." Leila answered.

"Don't feel any fever." She said as Leila reached for her.

"Hasn' t'rown up since dis mornin'." He said, handing her over.

"Good. Maybe ya finally over that nasty bug." Rogue said, giving Leila a hug.

Gambit pat his daughter's back. "Now, wha's dis 'bout dyin' hair?" He asked.

"Ah was lookin' at costumes for us for tha Halloween party." Rogue said, showing him her laptop. "What do ya think about that?"

Cocking an eyebrow, Gambit smirked at her. "Gomez and Morticia?" He asked. "Mon amour, dat couldn' be mo' perfec'."

"Right?" She asked as she turned and looked up at him. "Thought you'd like that. Don't ya have a suit like that?"

"Hmm," He thought as he looked at the screen. "Maybe? We check it out."

"If not, ah'm sure a black one would work just fine. They'll know who we are." Rogue said as she smiled at Leila. "Ah'm glad ya feeling better."

"Am I gonna go to the Halloween Party?" Leila asked.

"Not this time. This is for the adults." Rogue said. "Y'all are gonna go trick-or-treating."

"Who's gonna take us?" Leila asked.

"Not sure just yet." Rogue said.

"We'll find out soon, petit." Gambit winked at her as she turned and hugged Rogue. "She been extra clingy t'day. I love it."

Rogue smiled. "Well, ah don't blame her. Ya had a rough day, huh?" She asked, feeling Leila nod. "Sweet girl."

"How y' feelin'?" Gambit asked, looking into Rogue's eyes.

She shrugged. "Ah feel fine, just tired." She said, closing the laptop and taking Gambit's hand before she lead him out of the office. "Nothin' new on that side, yet."

Smiling at her, Gambit leaned in and kissed Rogue's cheek. "Y' still up fo' lookin' at houses t'morrow?" He asked.

"Yep." She answered.

"Am I going?" Leila asked.

"Ah think we're gonna keep ya in." Rogue said as they came to the kitchen. "Let ya rest a little more. Today was rough on you, sugah."

"There's that little princess." Bobby said from the island bar. "How you feeling, Leila?"

"Better." She said, giving him a smile.

"Good." He said, taking a sip of his drink. "I was thinking about picking up some new toys for you."

"Really?" Leila's face beamed with excitement.

"I'll go tomorrow morning since you're feeling better." He said. "Then, we can play all day."

"Look like Bobby gonna be our babysitter, no?" Gambit suggested.

"Hey, I'll watch her." He said. "We always have a good time. Right, Leila?"

"Mm hmm." Leila nodded. "Can you make another slide for me?"

Bobby went into panic mode as Rogue raised her eyebrow. "A slide?" She asked, looking at Bobby. "Ya made her a slide?"

"It wasn't anything serious. Plus it was months ago." Bobby said. "Just a few twists and turns. I was with her the whole time. Ororo and Jean were there, too! You know, to make sure nothing happened."

"Lord." Rogue said as she sat Leila down beside Bobby.

"We can go to the store tomorrow. What do you say?" Bobby asked, giving Leila a friendly nudge with his left elbow.

"Yeah!" Leila said full of excitement.

"Where you guys going tomorrow anyway?" Bobby asked.

"House hunting." Rogue said as she leaned back against the counter.

"House hunting?" Bobby raised an eyebrow. "You guys peacing out?"

Rogue shook her head and smiled. "No, nothing like that. There's another LeBeau on the way." She said.

"You guys got the okay to adopt?" He asked, excitedly.

"Non." Gambit said. "Anna's pregnant."

Bobby's eyes went wide. "Shit." He said, suddenly clapping his hands over his mouth. "I meant to say congratulations."

Rogue glared at him. "Thanks." She said as she looked at Leia. "Don't ya ever repeat that word."

Gambit folded his arms over his chest. "Smoot', Bobby." He said, lightly shaking his head.

"It just came out." Bobby plead. "I'm really sorry. But hey, that's exciting!"

"Anyway," Rogue said, looking up at Gambit. "What time are we plannin' on starting tomorrow?"

"I figure we sleep in a bit." He said, letting his arms drop as he snaked his left around Rogue's waist. "Be lazy."

"With that one?" Rogue asked, motioning to Leila with her head. "Ah highly doubt we'll be sleepin' in."

"Ey," Gambit said, getting Leila's attention. "Don' go wakin' us up t'morrow mornin'. We wanna sleep in."

"You can come bother me when you wake up." Bobby said. "We'll go to Wal-mart and get some new toys."

"Okay!" Leila said excitedly.

"Ah think ya just redeemed yaself, Robert." Rogue said, winking at him.

He smiled back. "I know you guys need your time alone." Bobby said, leaving it at that.

"Well, it ain't gonna be like that." Rogue said.

"Why not?" Gambit asked, giving her a playful smirk.

"Play ya cards right." She winked up at Gambit.

"A'ways do." He said as his hand went up and massaged her neck.

"Um, there's a child in the room." Bobby joked. "Your child."

Rogue laughed as she pushed off the counter and opened the fridge. "Please." She said as she took out some yogurt. "Ya got any plans for us tonight?"

Crossing his arm over his chest, Gambit shook his head. "Non." He said. "Why? Y' wanna go an' do somet'in'?"

"Just curious." She said, getting a bowl out and scooping a portion of yogurt for herself. "Ah'm thinkin' about a bubble bath tonight."

"Bubble bath!" Leila said excitedly.

"Take it y' want one too, eh?" Gambit asked, smiling at Leila.

"Yeah!" She said.

"Well, I make sure dis new house has a big jacuzzi tub fo' bubble bat' times." Gambit said as he walked over and picked Leila up and held her in his arms. "Y' gettin' heavy."

Leila smiled as she reached up and played with her dad's hair that reached the collar of his shirt. "I'm gonna be six!" Leila said.

"I know." Gambit said, kissing her cheek. "I don' like dat. I wan' you t' stay li'l forever."

Leila giggled as he kissed her cheek over and over. "Leila, what do ya wanna be when ya grow up?" Rogue asked, placing the yogurt in the fridge before turning to her.

"Mm." Leila thought. "I wanna help animals."

"So ya wanna be a veterinarian?" Rogue asked. "They help puppies and kitties get better."

"Yeah! I wanna be that!" Leila said. "Papa?"

"Mm hmm?" Gambit answered looking at her.

"Can I have a kitty?" Leila asked.

"Don' know 'bout dat." Gambit said, looking at Rogue. "Maybe when we move into de new house. We talk 'bout it den, a'right?"

"Okay." Leila said as she ran her fingers over her dad's stubbly cheeks.

"What made ya want a kitty?" Rogue asked.

"They're cute!" Leila said, excitedly.

"Dat dey are." Gambit said, kissing her cheek again.

"You guys gonna head West?" Iceman asked. "You know, once they get the new school up and running?"

Rogue sighed. "Honestly, ah don't wanna deal with moving across the country. Especially if we've got a newborn and possibly if we adopt by then. Ah'd like ta stay put somewhere." She said, looking at Gambit. "What about you, hun?"

He slightly shook his head. "I want wha's best fo' us. If y' don' wanna move, den we ain' movin'." He said.

"So me and Ororo are all that's moving out there? Jeez." Bobby said.

"Ah'm sure others will make the journey with y'all." Rogue said, eating her yogurt.

"I'm just wondering if Kitty and Craig are going to move." Bobby said. "And hey, why weren't you at the meeting?"

Rogue shook her head. "Ah got tha invitation and ah would've gladly been there, but ah had ta deal with this one kid that's been in my office a lot, lately."

"How you liking it?" Bobby asked.

"Eh." She shrugged. "For tha most part, ah enjoy it a lot. Ah get ta talk with these kids and ah can relate on so many levels."

"Well, hat's off to you." Bobby said. "I can't deal with the majority of these kids."

"S'funny. I felt de same 'bout you." Gambit said with a playful wink.

Iceman playfully pouted. "Your dad is mean, Leila." He said.

Leila giggled as Gambit placed her on the ground. "No he's not." She said, taking Gambit's hand. "Can we go outside?"

"Oui." Gambit said as he planted a kiss on Rogue's cheek before he walked with Leila out the back sliding glass door.

Walking closer to the island bar, Rogue leaned against the counter and watched as Gambit picked Leila up and placed her on his shoulders. She smiled as she watched them walk up to the tree and touch the leaves overhead.

"I'm gonna go join them." Bobby said as he walked out and over to them.

Storm walked in and smiled at Rogue before walking over and preparing some tea. "God dammit, Ororo." Rogue said.

"What is it?" She asked a bit alarmed.

"Look at him." Rogue said motioning for her to look out the window with her spoon. "He's so god damn beautiful and tha way he interacts with Leila? Dammit ah love him."

Storm smiled and lightly laughed. "I am glad he still makes your heart swell." She said, going back and prepping her tea. "He is a wonderful father."

"Mm hmm." Rogue agreed as she took another bite. "Did Jean tell ya tha news?"

Shaking her head, Storm gave her friend her full attention. "Not that I am aware." She said.

The smile grew wider on Rogue's face. "Ah'm pregnant." She said, seeing her friend's face beam with excitement.

"That is wonderful news!" Storm said as she moved in and gave her friend a hug. "How far along?"

"Like eight or nine weeks." Rogue said and then smiled. "We're gonna go look at houses tomorrow. According to Charles, we can't build on ta this place anymore."

"That is correct." Storm said. "But a house of your own is an exciting thing."

"Yeah." Rogue said, looking back and seeing Bobby freeze a leaf before handing it to Leila. "It's kinda surreal, ta be honest."

"Life is a mysterious thing." Storm said. "And you have such a beautiful one."

"Damn right, ah do." Rogue said, watching them again.

Closing the door to Leila's room gently, Gambit walked across the hall and into the bedroom where he saw Rogue at her dresser. Glancing over her shoulder when she heard their door close she gave him a smile and a wink before pulling a teal tank top out and closing the top drawer.

"Wanna join me for a shower?" She asked, tossing the tank top over her right shoulder.

Kicking his shoes off, he gave her a smirk. "Hafta ask?" He asked as he opened the bedroom door and followed her down the hall and into the bathroom.

Shutting the door, Gambit immediately grabbed Rogue and pulled her against him as he placed his lips on hers. She pulled away and lightly laughed as she walked over and drew the curtain back.

"Ah said a shower." She said, starting the water and turning the shower head on.

"Know I can' help it." He said, walking up behind her and running his hands up her sides.

"Well, hold ya horses." Rogue said, feeling the water get warmer before she turned around and faced Gambit. "Ya just put Leila ta bed."

"Afraid we gonna wake her up?" He asked, running his hands down her back.

Rogue lightly laughed as she moved in and rest her head on his shoulder as she hugged him. "Ah love you." She said, looking up at him with a smile.

"Love y', too." He said, smiling back as he kissed her softly.

The steam from the shower started to be more apparent. "Guess we need ta hop in there." She said, pulling away and stripping from her shirt.

Doing the same, Gambit tossed his shirt and jeans back by the door before taking her clothes and dropping them on top of his. Smiling, Rogue took his hand and led him into the shower and under the shower head, soaking his hair. After washing each other they stayed in the shower and made out for a little bit before they killed the water and dried off. Heading into their bedroom, Gambit took Rogue's towel off and let his fall as he took her in his arms and kissed her again. Rogue moved toward the bed and he followed, crawling up her body and pressing his naked self against hers.
