Ps: I have the omnitrix looking a little different than the original. The button is a not glowing white like OS and the dial doesn't have the four glowing circles, but indents like the live action movie, Race Against Time.
PPS: you can recreate or just create your own omnitrix through a mobile app called Omni-Lab 3D. This is where I did the redesign for the omnitrix. This is not an ad, I just thought I'd sher this with fellow Ben 10 fans.
Chapter 2: "Mad Scientist"
There was a building burning in the city. A mother and her son were running to escape before a flaming piece of the ceiling fell before the door. They duo huddled together as more of the ceiling fell around them.The mother held her son close as they waited for the inevitable, only for the ceiling to stop from falling on them.
The boy looked to the source, only to see a man mad of fire and rock holding up the ceiling around them, "Who are you?", the young boy asked his savior.
"I'm here to help, little guy", Heatblast answers, not struggling at all with the flaming wood from the collapsing ceiling. He tosses the boards away and then used a new ability to then absorb most of the fire around them in the room, which would have been great to know when he first used this form.
"All right, this way", Heatblast tells them, waving his hand for them to follow him. The child gingerly moves to follow, with his mother going to stop him out of fear of the fire man before cautiously following as well.
They enter the hallway, with Heatblast leading them to the stairs, "This way", he says before the stairs then collapse from the fire, "On second thought, that way", pointing to the window to the outside at the end of the hall.
He then uses his powers to cut a hole around the window like it was a plasma cutter or something. He then does a spinning fire funnel to bring himself and the mother-son duo outside, and unharmed. People watching screamed at first before oohing and awing.
"All in a days work for...", Heatblast began before noticing the boy he just save pull something from the backpack he was carrying "No Way! Golden Sumo Slammer Cards!", he nears the boy, "Where'd you get one, let alone three? I've been searching all over for one.". Everyone in the crowd was a little taken aback by his reaction.
"It was a prize in a box of Sumo Smack cereal", the boy answers him.
Suddenly, a honk sounded out that Heatblast recognized. He looks to the road to see Max and Gwen in the Rustbucket.
"Yo, super doofus", Gwen calls out to him, "The fire was just a diversion to cover up a jewelry store robbery. The bad guys are getting away!"
"Oh, uh, thanks for the information... citizen. Do you mind giving me a lift?", Heatblast says.
"Not at all", Max replies and Heatblast hops in.
Soon after, the Rustbucket was chasing a black vehicle with two masked men inside it.
Max smells something in the air as he gave chase and looked over to the shotgun seat, to see Heatblast roasting as he sat.
"Knew I should have bought the flame retardant seat covers when I had the chance", Max remarks.
"Sorry gramps", Heatblast replies, "I can't help it if I'm hot. Hopefully I can learn to transform without timing out".
Suddenly, he is sprayed with a fire-extinguisher, "10 superheroes in that stupid watch and you pick the one with the flaming butt", Gwen states.
"Jealous?", he teases her and she hosed him again.
They swerve around a corner and get closer to the robbers' car. Heatblast then leans out of the RV's window and summons a fireball in his hands before firing it at the back of the car, hitting it under it, causing the car to fly up with all of its tires flying off.
"Boom!", Heatblast cheers.
The robbers yell as they soon crash into a wall. Heatblast gets out of the Rv and head for the car. He rips the driver door off.
"Unless you punks want a permanent suburn", he threatens while warping the metal of the door, "against the wall with your hands on your heads till the police arrive". Seeing no other option, the criminal duo do exactly that.
This is when the watch began to time out, "You guys picked the wrong day for this", Heatblast states to the criminals backs before a red flash changed him back into Jason. This red flash caused the robbers to turn around to see nothing but the RV driving away. Before the robbers could try and make a break for it, the police arrive and apprehend them.
Later, Daytime, Somewhere in Washington DC
A man knocks on a door to a building with a sign above it saying Dr Animo
"Yo, Animo", the balding man that knocked calls out, "I know you're in there. Open up."
This man then opens to the door to a dark room lit only by the curtainless windows. He saw a ton of cages, tanks, and terrariums of animals chattering all over. The man closes the door and walks further into the building, looking for Animo.
"Phew. Smells like a zoo in here", he comments while covering his nose from the strong scent. He looks into a tank to see a frog hopping around, unaware of a figure approaching him from behind.
The balding man turns around only for a greenish skinned man that looked alike a hobo was in his a face. This is Animo.
"How did you get in?!", Amino demands of the man.
"Passkey", the man replies, "I am still your landlord, remember? Maybe not since your rent is six months past due."
"All my funds go into my research", Animo dismisses, "Now, get out! You're disturbing me."
"Hmm, looks like you were disturbed long before I got here, pal", the man remarks at Animo's behavior, "Listen, Doc. You and your furry friends are out on the street unless you pony up the cash you owe."
"Pony up. Interesting choice of phrases", Animo notes with a smile as he then grabs the frog from the tank, "You must be an animal lover", he sets the frog onto the floor, "Then you're going to love this", he says as he puts on a helmet with two horns, looking like it was made from scrap.
"Pfft Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha", the landlord laughs, "What's that? you a member of the moose lodge or something?"
"This is my transmodulator, phase number one", Animo explains, pointing at the crude device attached to his chest and head. "It creates and accelerates mutations at the genetic level. Observe", Animo the dial on his chest and the helmet sparks with the red energy.
The energy fires at the frog and it began to change and grow to the size of a truck. It now had four eyes and two horns on its head. The landlord screams as the mutated frog then opens it's mouth and traps the landlord inside it.
"I'm sorry. I can't hear you", Animo snarks at the landlords muffled screams, "Sounds like you have a frog in your throat. Hahaha. Or is that the other way around? Hahaha", he laughs before the frog then spits the landlord out and into the wall before falling to the floor, knocked out.
"So close to having what is rightfully mine", Animo states, looking at an old newspaper, "ll I need is a few lousy components to finish my work!"
he then notices a commercial for Mega Mart on his tv, talking about having whatever he needs.
"Ah. Just what the doctor ordered", Animo snarks with a sinister look in his eyes.
Later, M-Mart
Jason, Gwen, and Max were at Mega Mart shopping for more necessities for their summer. Jason soon seperated from the group when he noticed the cereal section. he then grabs a box of Sumo Smacks, with the box showing they was a free card prize inside.
"Sumo Slammer Cards. Nice", Jason says. Jason had always liked Sumo Slammers. it was one of the few things he was able to get in Gotham that wasn't a necessity like food and clothes. His father even went out of his way to get hm the merchandise for it before he went to prison. Now, how to find the box with the card without opening the boxes and/or wasting money buying all of them.
"Only canned octopus? I thought this store prided itself on wide selection", Max remarks while looking for things that suit his unique pallet of cuisine.
"Uh Grandpa, no offense, but can I go find some normal food for Jason to make for dinner?", Gwen,"one without stir-fired tentacles?."
"Nonsense", Max dismisses her, "Now where do you suppose they keep the sheep's bladders?", with him walking away to look for the item in question.
Around this time, a green flash occurs, drawing Gwen's attention, "Jason?". She heads to where the flash came from on the cereal aisle to see some boxes in disarray but otherwise in one piece. She walks the aisle, scooping out for any inhuman creatures till she heard a voice.
"No, no, tis one houses another red card", the voice came from behind a Sumo Smacks box.
Gwen grabs the alien from behind the boxes, "Gotcha", and brings her hand out t reveal the i different alien form.
It was a grey-skinned, frog-like, bipedal alien that is only four inches tall with large green eyes, which have rectangular pupils and horizontal eyelids. There was a black strip that began where his nose would be and went over his head then down his back. He always wears a white jumpsuit with green stripes, with Black feet covers and black fingerless gloves. The symbol was on his back at normal size. (a combination of OS and OV). This was Grey Matter, Jason's smartest form.
"What are you doing?", Gwen demands of the creature literally within hand.
"Using my vast intellect to look for the Golden Sumo Slammer card. Duh", Grey Matter says because it's obvious.
"Your'e supposed to use your powers to help, not find some stupid trading card", she admonishes him.
"Oh please. How much you want to bet the Justice League only use their powers to save the day?", Grey Matter responds.
"Do you need some help miss?", an employee oh M-Mart says from behind Gwen.
Gwen turned around with her hand holding Grey Matter hid behind her back, "oh, no, i was just...", she let go of Grey Matter who now clung to the back of her shirt while she grabbed her phone from her back pocket, "... on the phone with my Grandpa about what cereal. I'm fine. Thank you, though."
"So, why were you rooting through the cereal aisle again?", Max asked as the duo reunited with him in the store.
"I was looking for the golden sumo slammer card", Jason replies as he has changed back to normal, "But I didn't have enough time to calculate which one as Grey Matter before Nervous Nancy hadn't butted in with her big butt and interrupted my train of thought".
"Why do you want that stupid piece of cardboard so much?", Gwen asks him in anger at the big butt comment, though there was a lot of guys that were into that.
"It's none of your business", Jason dismisses.
"Jason, while I can appreciate how much this card means to you, but don't you think you might get a little obsessed?", Max asked him.
"Max, I know not to do anything too stupid. How do you think I am, ten?", Jason replies to the elder Tennyson.
The trio went about gathering the rest of their supplies in the store till the stumble upon a Sumo Slammers display.
"Whoa! Sumo Slammer Cards. A complete set!", Jason says as he overlooks the display.
"Lets check out the pet department", Max states before heading there. Jason and Gwen immediately thought that he planned to use them as food as well.
"Please tell me you aren't looking for breakfast?", Gwen begs.
Jason takes a look at the Golden Sumo Slammer card in the center of red and blue, "Someday you'll be all mine", before heading to leave to get him and Gwen some actual food.
Suddenly, he felt a rumble throughout the store. with the nearby TVs glitching out and falling to the floor.
'Can't be an earthquake, we're on the east coast', Jason thinks before noticing the wall behind the TVs crack. He jumps away as something bursts through the wall. He looks back to see what looked like a mad scientist riding a giant frog.
Animo began to look collect the electronics he needed before he was interrupted.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing?", Jason asked the disgusting looking man. Then the frog launched its tongue at him, to which Jason dodges but was crushed by the boxes that fell from the tongue hitting him. he had dug his way out and noticed that the watch was red to show it was still recharging from his earlier antics.
"Don't e a hero kid", Animo says to him, "You should run along and play".
'You're so lucky I can't go all out right now", Jason thinks before the security show up to stop the man and his giant frog.
"Freeze! Get down from the giant... frog and put your hands up", one of the two guards orders Animo. However, they were ignored as the frog jumps with extreme force further into the store. "Uh, we got a grab-and-dash in electronics", the same guard calls in his radio, "Male, about 5'6", riding on a giant frog or toad. Trust me you can't miss him."
Jason had went to give chase
In the Pet section, Gwen was playing with a hamster in a cage while Max was looking at his shopping list. Some bird was squawking nearby.
Suddenly, Animo on his mutated frog lands before, drawing the two Tennysons' attention. Anio activates his contraption and zaps the hamster Gwen was looking at.
It grew about as big as a pony with it now having two big red eyes and six little red eyes with two tusks from it's lower mouth.
Animo also zapped the bird. ALthough it was bigger with red eyes, it looked remarkably the same, not gaining new features like the gerbil and the frog.
"Arise to your full potential, my pets", Animo calls out cheerfully.
Jason runs into the area to see the new beasts at Animo's command while Max and Gwen run away.
"Oh, man. What kind of pet food are they selling here?", Jason jokes. He checks the device on his wrist to see it was still red.
Now, all three of them stand before Animo and his three abominations.
"Behold the genius of Dr Animo.", Animo announces to the trio, "Nothing can stop me from getting what I deserve. Mark my words. Today, I will make history. Or should I say prehistory?".
"If you haven't gone cereal diving, one of those heroes could be saving us from becoming hmaster chow1", Gwen snarks at Jason.
Said mutated hamster shriek at them before charging. Max and Gwen run but Jason jumps over the beast before it then corners the Tennysons.
"Who says I need to transform to be a hero", Jason remarks to himself after noticing an motored scooter nearby. He then grabs a football and throws it at the mutant's head, drawing its attention away from Max and Gwen to himself.
He drives the scooter around the store as the hamster gave chase, being able to keep pace with its enhanced size. Jason dodges as it jumps at him, with it knocking over a shelf of canned goods. Jason uses it as a ramp to jump over the beast and then knocked down another shelf onto it, trapping it under the weight of the metal shelves and the goods on them.
"Jason!", Gwen calls for him in worry before seeing that he was alright.
"Uh-huh. That's right. Not even giant hamsters can fuck with Jason Todd", Jason says to her with a smile while she gives a quiet sigh of relief.
"Language", Max reprimands, "But good job, Jason".
Just then, Animo rides his frog onto the scene, "Young fool, you cannot stop me!", doing a finger of doom at Jason, "I will turn Washington DC into Washington BC", he then hops onto the flowing bird then crashes out a skylight to escape. The frog then hopped out after him. Leaving the trio behind, unable to d anything to give chase at the time.
"Dammit", Jason mutters before he is approached by one of the workers.
"You saved the store! If there's anything I can do to repay you, anything you want...", he said, his name tag saying Regis.
Jason briefly thought of the golden sumo slammer card on display before saying, "Oh, uh, it's no big deal. We've got to go now. Um, good luck with the clean up".
"No time for shopping now. We have a giant parrot to follow", Max states as the head for the Rustbucket.
The sky was getting dark as the Rustbucket was following the mutated giant bird from the road.
"Ah, just like the good old days before I retired", Max comments as he drives after the giant bird.
This drew both of the teens' attention.
"So what kind of plumber were you exactly, Grandpa?", Gwen asks Max, forgetting what she was doing on her laptop for a moment.
"Uh, a darn good one", Max replies, "sometimes had to rush like this to get to a job.", he then deflects to Jason, "Hey Jason, you ok?"
"Oh, just a little down about not getting the card I was after", Jason replies, "But whatever. Let's just get this wackadoo".
"Being a hero carries hardships that normal people can't understand.," Max comments, "They don't even have to know you saved them, as long as you know you've done good. Being a hero is it's own reward."
'Being a hero doesn't pay the bills though', Jason thinks. They usually have a actual job for that, journalism or law enforcement, things Jason didn't want to waste time doing.
"Did you take wisdom management classes or something?", Jason remarks to Max.
"Bingo?", Gwen calls out, looking at her laptop, "about 5 years ago, Dr Animo was a promising researcher in veterinary science, but it turned out he was doing all these twisted genetic experiments where he was mutating animals", the picture she seen of him should Animo with a normal peachy skin tone and brown hair, "and when he didn't win some big prize called the Verities Award, he flipped out', she informs the guys.
"We've lost them", Max shares as the bird takes a stark left over some buildings that Max couldn't follow, "He could be going anywhere in Washington DC".
"Or Washington BC", Gwen restates what Animo had said, sparking an idea for Jason.
"That's it! I know where he's going...", Jason tells them, "The Natural History Museum".
Natural History Museum, Washington DC
The trio arrive to see a hole in the wall, with a giant feather laying on the ground before it.
"Something tells me we're in the right track", Max remarks at the obvious clues, "Good thinking, Jason".
"Guess even a doofus can surprise you once in a while", Gwen smiles with her backhanded compliment.
"You would know, Kitkat", Jason responds before heading inside.
The three explore the museum till they find Animo in the dinosaur exhibit, tinkering with his device.
"You are very persistent", Animo states, somehow knowing they were there before he looked at them, "I hate persistent."
"Could say the same about you and your freaky experiments, Dr Animo", Jason tells him, "It's over".
"Oh", Animo turns to him, "but it's only just begun, young man. See, I only needed a few components to push m work ino phase 2-- the reanimation of dormant cells"
"That sounds bad", Jason mutters.
"Breathing life back into that which has been long since lifeless", Animo smiles before activating his chest piece, "Observe". He then zaps the stuffed mammoth next to him, bringing it to life as it steps off its display.
It lumbers forward as Animo states, "Behold the genius that is Dr Animo", and he runs.
"Now would be a good time to go hero", Gwen tells Jason.
"No duh", Jason replies, "You guys get after Animo. I'll deal with Manny the Mammoth.", he then actives the omnitrix, slapping the dial down without choosing and transforms in a flash of green,
In his place stood a humanoid alien that is approximately twelve feet tall, has well-developed muscles, two pairs of four-fingered arms, and red skin. A black stripe goes from his chin to his lower lip along with from the back of his head to his upper lip and he has four eyes: a main pair, and a smaller pair below them. He wore He wore a sleeveless bodysuit with the top half being mostly green and the rest of the suit being black, along with unique black fingerless gloves. (OS Ben 10,000 clothes with green replacing the white) This is Four Arms, He knows the name wasn't very imaginative but it was simple.
Four Arms rushes the mammoth, grabs its tusks and throws it onto its side.
Gwen and Max run around a corner to chase Animo but instead run into the mutated bird. Gwen grabs a spear from a caveman display. She spins it around before whacking the beast on top of its head, she then spins and whacks its right side, breaking the spear in the process. The pain caused the bird to run away.
"Jason's not the only one with skills", Gwen declares, while Max was left stunned by the display of said skills.
They then head into another part of the exhibit to see Animo activate his invention once more. He smiles at the Tennysons before zapping the skeleton of a T-Rex. It began growing flesh till it was almost whole once more. It came to life with some of its skeleton and renewed meat still exposed and roars at the duo.
Four Arms has been thrown into a wall before the mammoth rushes at him. Four Arms rushes at him in turn and lays a double right hook to its face before the mammoth hooks him on its tusks and throws him again. This time, he crashes through a dino-skeleton.
"You are going down, peanut head", Four Arms asserts.
He grabs the mammoth by its trunk and begins to spin it around like they were a top, going so fast they were a blur. Eventually, Four Arms lets go and the mammoth flies into a wall, hard, and stays down.
"Whoof, a little dizzying", Jason says holding his head and trying not to hurl.
Gwen and Max moved out of the way of a tail swipe from the reanimated T-Rex as Animo rides it.
"I'd love to stay, but I need to claim the award I so richly deserve.", He announces before the T-rex smashed its way outside. The duo could only look, unsure of what to do.
Suddenly, the mutated bird flies back, grabs Gwen with its talons, and flies away as she screams
"Jason", Max yells for help to the man in question, who then soon appears jumps after her. Max goes to follow but finds a newspaper clipping laying on the ground.
Four Arms has jumped high enough to grab the tail end of the bird, drawing its attention
"A where do you think you're flying off to, bird brain", he snarks.
The bird then wildly moves before diving as the time out sound begins for Four Arms. The birds wild movements cause him to lose his grip, which was hard with four arms, and he fell to the ground. Lucky he didn't time out till after he landed, change back to Jason.
Jason gets up from the crater from Four Arms fall to see the bird begin to fly to far away, "Gwen!".
Lucky, Max soon appears with the Rustbucket, "Somebody call for a taxi, or is it uber?".
Jason hops in and they begin to chase the bird once more.
""Spend the summer with your grandpa, Honey It will be an adventure"", Gwen snarks, quoting her parents, as she hanged from her backpack that the bird was grabbing onto, leaving her uninjured, as the mutated bird flies for the Washington Monument.
Animo was rampaging with his revived T-Rex pet before demolishing a building.
"Ah, I do love my work", Animo remarks before continuing his rampage, unknowing of something stuck in the T-Rex's toe.
At the Washington Monument, the bird stood atop the peak while Gwen now hanged from its beak, still from the backpack.
Gwen was taking panicking breathes as she hanged over the edge, facing the far off ground, and hoping her pack's straps don't break. She pulls her phone out and calls her grandpa.
Max and Jason were driving around randomly in search of Gwen.
"No signs of beak breath", Jason comments while looking out into the sky through the shotgun window.
"There can't be that many places for a parrot that size to roost", Max shares before grabbing the newspaper clipping, "Here. Look at what Dr Animo left behind.
""Dr Kelly accepts Verities Award"", Jason reads, seeing Animo in the background of the picture, "Looks like he's going to finally get his award if we don't stop him".
"First things first. We have to find Gwen", Max states.
Jason goes to his phone to try and call her, only for her to already be messaging him about her location.
"Hold on Gwen, we're coming", Max says as his RV turns and heads for the monument.
"I can't hold on much longer", as the bird had left her there, with her clutching the pole at the top.
The duo arrive to see her phone fall and hit the ground, smashing into pieces.
"Oh, no. Gwen will be next", Max says with worry.
Jason looks to see that he is recharged, "Not if I can help it", before activating the watch, "It's hero time!", and pushes it down on a winged figure and a flash of green.
He now had aa bug/insect body and four insect-like flat legs with two arms, whose hands are humanoid ones with three clawed fingers. He has four pedunculated eyes that are pretty small. These eyes are linked directly to the sides of his huge head. His wings are light green and very fragile with lines on them, and his limbs are a brown-greenish color. His tail was black with a spiky look to it and is an ultra sensitive receptor, making it like an antenna. He wore a white bodysuit with black stripes, his head being black as the suit covered all but the legs, arms, eyes, and wings. He also had gloves on his two hands. The omnitrix symbol was on what would be his chest (UAF with OS gloves, because of the omnitrix not being on its head, confusing it for his eye like I did as a child) This was Stinkfly, due to the smell the form produces.
Max stands back as Stinkfly takes off towards Gwen. Gwen grip had slipped and she was now falling from the monument as she screams. She is suddenly not feeling the consequences of gravity.
"Gotcha", Stinkfly comforts as she is held within his arms.
"Oh, thanks for the save", she says before noticing something off to the side, "Incoming!".
Using his prehensile eyes, he saw the bird flying at them from behind, "Hang on", and dodges the mutated parrot's charge. It circled around for another one and Stinkfly goes up and over, all while Gwen was screaming.
Stinkfly flew around while Max rushed into the monument.
"Oh, I think I'm going to be sick", Gwen moans from all of the sudden motions.
"Better not spew on me", Stinkfly snarks.
Max was now up the monument, "Ugh, I should have taken the elevator", before he sees what's going on out a window. He opens it and waves at them that he was over here.
"Alright Gwen, you're going to have to trust me", Stinkfly states.
"Trust you?", Gwen questions before he does another extreme movement before heading from the high t low at the top monument.
"Come to grandpa", Max says before Stinkfly then transfers his grip on Gwen to Max.
Stinkfly flew around before the bird rushed for Gwen, still hanging fro her grandpa out the window. However, Stinkfly crashed into from above before it got to close to them. Bashing it into the Washington Monument before throwing it to the ground.
"Go. Stop Animo", Max orders, "We're all right".
"Speak for yourself", Gwen says as she tries to get used to being on level ground again after all of that.
Stinkfly flies away from Kelly Industries.
At said industries, Dr Kelly was showing some men his awards, "And this is my Verities Award", gesturing to a golden beaker looking award. Of course, it was an honor just to be nominated with a distinguished group of scientists", he says with a genuine smile before they hear a noise and the building began to shake.
The trio of men look to where they think the noise is coming from to see Animo burst in on his zombie T-rex. The other two ran while Dr Kelly stood stunned before him.
"Kelly, I believe you have something of mine", Animo snarls at him before jumping down and grabbing the award off the shelf. "I'd like to thank the committee for this honor.", he says, looking a little ridiculous with the helmet and googles.
He hops back onto the T-rex that soon goes to take a bite of Dr Kelly, only for Stinkfly to fly in a with a flying punch to its jaw while moving Kelly away. The dinosaur swipes its tail at him and send stinkfly to the ground.
He then sees the Golden Sumo Slammer card that was in the t-rex's foot was now in the rubble next to him.
"Whoa, I struck Sumo Slammer gold", he jokes at his luck, before Kelly cried out for help.
"Somebody help me", Dr Kelly cries as the T-Rex held him by his coat.
"Of course", Stinkfly sighs before flying in and grabbing Kelly before the T-rex could eat him.
"What are you, you little pest?", Animo demands as the T-rex roars at its lost dinner.
"I'm Stinkfly, and I'm here to kick your tail", he replies to the mad scientist.
Animo then tries to blast him with the mutating helmet, but Stinkfly flew away as the energy beam chased him. He closes in and sprays some of his slime from his eyes into the T-rex's face. He then goes to throw a punch at Animo, put misses and hits the award out of his hands.
"NO!", Animo yells out as the award fell before it smashes on the ground like it was a normal glass beaker.
Stinkfly then comes in and rips the helmet and googles from Animo's head.
"My transmodulator!", he cries out.
Stinkfly throws it to the ground and it releases an energy wave. This wave reverts the T-rex back to the fossilized remains it truly was.
"No! No! Nooooo!", Animo cries as he fell with the skeleton.
With Gwen and Max, the energy wave reached them just before the parrot could attack and it unmutated to its natural state, gracefully flying onto Gwen's arm.
"Don't even try to kiss up to me now", Gwen states
In the morning, the traveling trio were standing outside of Kelly Industries as the police usher Animo into a squad car.
"Let me go! I deserve that award!", Animo yells in anguish as he was hauled to the car, "I've got it coming to me! I want it!"
"For some reason that feels familiar", Jason comments, remembering some of his own childish antics.
The Rustbucket was then driving out of Washington DC.
" i may not have got that Gold Sumo Slammer Card, but at least I snagged a trophy from Animo.", Jason tells Gwen while holding the dial of Animo's Transmodulator, "All the cool heroes keep things from the bad guys they beat, you know."
"I guess", Gwen says, "Just wish we got to stop at the Hall of Justice though".
"Well, it was destroyed a bout a month ago, Gwen", Max remarks. Neither noticed Jason's sigh of relief at avoiding it.
"Aw, Gwen. Don't you already have enough heroes in your life", Jason whines while holding his chest like he was shot.
"And again, Thanks for saving me", Gwen says gratefully.
"Well, the hero gots to save the damsel", Jason dismisses.
"You're such a major doofus", Gwen tells him, upset from the stereotype.
"I know you are, but what am I?", Jason comes back with a classic before laughing.

A man hidden in the shadows was watching the news out of DC on how a scientist that mutates animals was stopped by an unnamed hero.

AN: I'm not sure about you, but summer vacation had started the end of May or the beginning of July for me, so this takes place about a month or two after the Hall of Justices destruction in 2016 in Young Justice. Again, they won't meet or interact with the DC heroes to the end of summer vacation at least. Except for maybe a few.
