"Now normally, I'd give out these tests and tell you that they'll help you decide your future."
Izuku slowly raised his hand, covering one ear while continually playing with an unsharpened pencil in between his fingers with his other hand.
"But who am I kidding! You all want to be heroes right!?"
The vibrations from the entire class jumping up and cheering, activating their quirks as they did; Only he and Bakugo hadn't moved from their seats.
"Alright, alright, you all have great quirks, but you're not allowed to use them in class! Settle down!"
"Oi teach! Don't lump me in with all these other extras." Bakugo sneered, kicking his feet up on his desk as their classmates turned on him.
"Screw you Katsuki!"
"Yeah! Just cause you got a flashy quirk doesn't mean you're better than us!"
"I'll take you all on losers!" Bakugo laughed cruelly, sparks crackling on his palm.
"Bakugo, you're applying to UA, yes?" The teacher asked, looking down at his papers.
Now the room was full of murmurs of awe.
"UA?"
"That's that state school right? Best in Japan?"
"Best in the world."
"And the only place good enough for me!" Bakugo bragged, "every great hero has graduated from UA! and I aced the mock exams! I'll graduate from that school at the top of my class and become the number one hero!"
"Oh yes, Midoriya, you're applying to UA as well?"
Izuku groaned quietly as the room began laughing at him.
"Midoriya? Your quirks okay but you're blind! How can you be a hero?"
"Yeah! What? You're gonna blindly stumble into the bad guys?"
BOOM!*
everyone quieted as Bakugo slammed his palm into the blind boys desk, to his credit Izuku didn't even flinch, though his eyebrow did quirk up, Acorn growled low in his throat, making Bakugo back off a bit, he remembered what happened the last time he tried to directly attack Izuku; he almost winced at the memory.
"What do you think you're doing you shitty nerd?" Bakugo growled.
"Sitting at my desk." Izuku deadpanned, making Bakugo bristle, "We are in class you know.'
"Why are you applying to UA?" The blonde bully demanded to know.
"UA has the best educational system." Izuku explained patiently, "and with my marks I'll get into the Gen Ed program."
"Bakugo, no using your quirk!" Their teacher said boredly, having let the two speak for a bit before reigning the volatile blonde back in, "get back to your desk."
Bakugo grumbled as he flopped back Into his chair while Izuku pulled out a tape recorder, turning it on as their teacher began to transition them into math.
When the bell rang most were quickly out of their desks and into the hall, Izuku took his time putting his few things up three…two…one. He quickly pulled his backpack back a split second before bakugos hand came down and blew up the spot it had been in, "desks aren't cheap Kacchan." Izuku chided, feigning ignorance on what Bakugos true target was.
"We're not done talking about UA Deku." Bakugo snapped, grinning maliciously when he saw the usually meek and submissive mask twitch a bit, he knew Izuku hated that nickname, and it was the only thing that got a rise out of him these days.
"What about?I told you about Gen Ed-"
"Don't try and sell that bullshit to me!" Bakugo snapped, cutting off izuku's practiced line, "I have a whole plan about how my life should go, and I'M the only one going to UA from this shitty school, no one else. Especially not some shitty blind idiot who thinks he can be a hero."
"I'm going into photography, remember?"
crack!*
This time Izuku did jump when Bakugo blew up his desktop again, Acorn barking at him until a snarl from the boy had Acorn cowering back a bit.
"That smart ass mouth is gonna get you killed one day." Bakugo growled, "do yourself a favor: withdraw your application."
With that Bakugo and his friends trooped out, the two lackey's laughing and jeering all the way.
"What a loser!"
"He didn't even try to fight back, pathetic!"
"What do you expect from a blind idiot?"
"SHUT IT BOTH OF YOU." Bakugo barked as they disappeared down the hall, Izuku waited until he was sure they were at the stairs before straightening up, casually dusting off his uniform and shouldering his backpack, "can't wait to wipe that smirk off your face." he grumbled as he left, going the other way towards the back stairs, he took the stairs three at a time and quickly slipped out the back door, heading off towards the park. "If I hurry I can have three hours of training with Hama."he took a shortcut down an old paved bike trail, heading deeper into the park as he unzipped his jacket to let Acorn jump out and run off to relieve himself. Izuku smiled as he put his hands in his pockets, walking under the old stone bridge that went over the bike trail.
It aws thanks to his vibration sense that he was able to jump away from the nearby storm drain as a giant blob shot out of it, it was the best way he could describe it, and the smell was telling him it was sewage.
"You're a pretty fast kid!" the blob cackled, "didn't even get a hand on you! That just means I gotta be FASTER!"
Several tendrils shot out at Izuku, who calmly weaved between the attacks, hands in his pockets.
"Stay still you little Brat-wait, are you blind?" the villain asked in confusion as it finally got a glimpse of the boy's milk gray eyes.
"Probably." Izuku drawled, planting his foot and kicking up a pillar of rock, a solid punch sending it flying straight through the villain, taking a part of its eye.
"GAH! YOU ASSHOLE!" The villain cried out in pain as he tried to surge forward again, only to be splattered as a flying fur bullet came flying out of the forest, barking furiously as he broke the sound barrier upon contact with the sludge.
About the same time the sewer drain popped open once more as a blonde man came jumping out, flexing a pose, "HAVE NO FEAR CITIZEN! FOR I AM-HERK!" All-Might wheezed out as Acorn slammed into his groin, causing him to spew blood and collapse into his small-Might form. Doubling over as he cradled himself.
"All-Might?" Izuku muttered, eyes wide at what he just sensed, "Did you…just change?"
"I-I-" All-Might groaned as he forced himself to his feet, visibly relaxing when he sees the boys milky gray eyes, "I DOn't know what you mean Young Man!" he wheezed out, attempting to deepen his voice while the dog that had nailed him barked furiously at him, darting back and forth on the path, "I Am the same as all ways."
"If you count losing over a hundred pounds in one go the same." Izuku said bluntly.
"H-how-" All-Might spluttered out. Blood dribbled from his chin.
"I can sense the vibrations in the earth." he explained, a sharp whistle had Acorn running back to him, jumping up into his sweater as Izuku zipped it back up, "I can't tell you how you look, but I can tell when a tall buff guy turns into a stick."
"Amazing." All-Might whispered, "so your quirk is Vibration sense."
Izuku shook his head "no, its-" he stopped as All-Might buffed up again, quickly running around scooping up the sludge, depositing it into two coke bottles before de-buffing with a wheeze, "That hit from your dog took more out of me than I realized."
"Sorry, Acorn was just protecting me." Izuku said, patting the dogs head fondly.
"Acorn?" All-Might asked in incredulity.
"The Mightiest of them all, long may he reign." Izuku said solemnly, making All-Might laugh.
"You're one weird kid." he chuckled, starting to head out of the park, Izuku strolling beside him.
"So what happened to you?" Izuku asked as they went, "or were you always a skeleton?"
"Heh, that's a new development," All-Might said, "about five years ago I got into a fight with a villain, he did this-" he raised his shirt to show Izuku his wound, only to realize the boy hadn't even turned to look at-oh right, he coughed awkwardly as he dropped his shirt.
"It sounded dramatic enough to look bad." Izuku offered, making the hero laugh again, "was it Toxic Chainsaw? Five years ago, right?"
"You know your stuff," the hero muttered, impressed, "but no, a guy like that had no hope of injuring me too badly. It was another villain, one who's fight I never reported. I did everything I could to keep it under wraps; he blew a hole in my side, I lost part of my stomach and a lung. I can only use my quirk for a few hours a day as a result."
"That must be rough." Izuku sympathized, "can you even eat with only half of your stomach?"
"Yes but I have to be careful what I eat, otherwise I'm throwing up." he stopped as they reached the street, looking at the boy appraisingly, "You're handling this a lot better than some of my other fans."
Izuku shrugged, "I'll probably freak out later, still on an adrenaline high. Besides I know what it's like to have people staring and gawking at you; giving you sympathy for something you don't want sympathy for."
He nodded slowly, "it was nice meeting you-ah" he paused, waiting for the boy to introduce himself.
"Izuku Midoriya.' Izuku said, holding a hand out.
He smiled and shook the pro-offered hand, "in this form you can call me Toshinori Yagi, thank you for your help today." With that, Toshinori began to walk away.
"Wait."
Toshinori stopped, looking back at the boy, whose head was bowed, fists balled up in his pockets.
"I want somethin' answered, and you're the only one who can answer it." He said, "do you think someone like me can be a hero?"
Toshinori smiled sadly, "your quirk allows you a certain way of seeing the world around you," he began, "and your partner there is strong-but…no, I don't think you can be a hero, a hero can't be caught off guard or taken by surprise due to handicaps such as yours… I'm sorry." With that, Toshinori turned and walked away.
Izuku stood there for a long time. Hands falling limp to his side, the man's words echoing in his ears until he finally shook his head and turned around, "what does he know." he muttered, stomping into the forest, "i'll show him-I'll show everyone! I can be a hero!" with another angry shake of his head he took off at a run deeper into the forest, Acorn leaping out of his sweater to run beside him; soon they reached a large concrete wall, separating the park from the national forest on the other side, with a grunt and a thrust of his arm a pillar of rock vaulted him over the wall, Acorn leaping with a single powerful jump over it and landing beside Izuku on the other side.
"HAMA!" Izuku shouted through cupped hands as he pulled his school jacket off, strolling into a field where a cave suddenly opened up in a nearby hill, the large Badgermole he'd met when he was younger stomping out with a gleeful chirp, quickly descending upon him and scooping him up in her powerful paws, sniffling all over to make sure he was alright.
"It's good to see you to Hama!" he giggled, all the worry and stress from his everyday life melting off of his shoulders as she finally set him down and jumped back, Izuku likewise jumped back in a powerful horse stance, "If i wanna show them what I can do I gotta sharpen my skills." he said, "so come on Hama! Hit me with everything you've got!"

An hour later.
Toshinori groaned as he slowly climbed the stairs of the nearby Mustafu Police Precinct, "finally, takes longer when I can't just leap across the city." he chuckled, slowly putting his hands into his pockets to pull the sludge filled bottles out, his eyes widening when all he found was a hole in his pocket and no bottles, "oh no." he sweat dropped, "it's…it's okay, i should just be able to retrace my steps and-"
BOOM!*
Toshinori flinched, slowly turning around to see a pillar of smoke curl into the afternoon air. "Oh no."
WVWVW
Izuku paused in his redressing, his feet shifting as the ground shook a bit, "that vibration…Kacchan?" he wondered, heading towards the dividing wall after saying good-bye to Hama. this time he opened his own tunnel under the wall and began to jog through the forest as another powerful vibration surged through the ground, "those are definitely his explosions." he muttered, his pace quickening to a sprint as yet another explosion ripped through the air, as he got closer to town he began to hear them. The tell-tell ear-shattering booms, the sweet smell of nitroglycerin filling the air as he finally was able to 'see' what was going on through the vibrations a few blocks down from the true altercation.
It was the sludge villain, struggling against someone who Izuku could only assume was Bakugo with all the explosions going off. Surrounding the villain were heroes of all kinds, but none could get a grip on the slippery villain or were bogged down trying to put out fires.
Without any hesitation Izuku darted through the crowd, coming out in a slide under the police tape and past Death Arms, who's eyes widened when he saw the blind boy and tiny dog go charging into the scene, "no! Stop! You'll get yourself killed!" Death Arms shouted, trying to run after the boy.
"Deku!" Bakugo called out as he was swamped by the slime.
"You again!" the villain snapped, forcing bakugos' hand forward, an explosion ripping out of it towards Izuku, "I'll kill you this time!"
With a flick of his wrist, two pillars of rock to shoot upward and colliding together as Izuku brought his forearms in, keeping him safe from the explosion as he brought his left arm around in a knife hand and slashed it down, splitting the pillar in two, a stomp and a punch sending the rock flying forward through both of his adversaries eyes, causing him to cry out in pain while Acorn shot forward, shooting through the blob and coming out on the other side with a slime covered Bakugo.
"You brat! You absolute brat!" The villain snarled as he reformed, surging towards Izuku, "I'll kill you!"
Izuku braced himself, only to step aside as a blonde blur came shooting in, intercepting the slime with a strong arm.
"I really am pathetic." All Might grunted as he looked down at Izuku, "I tell you my beliefs and fail to live up to them." he cocked a fist back, "a real hero continues! No matter the cost! DETROIT-"
"DAMN YOU ALL MIGHT!" the villain cried out as the heroes fist shot forward.
"SMASH!" he roared, a powerful updraft almost knocking Izuku off his feet as it surged into the sky, the blind boy blinked as he felt small raindrops land on his head, "he…changed the weather." Izuku mumbled in awe.
"WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!" Death Arms roared as he suddenly stomped over to Izuku, pulling him away from All-Might and towards the other heroes while the police quickly cleaned up the sludge and contained it, "You could have gotten yourself killed!"
"But I didn't." Izuku pointed out helpfully as Acorn came trotting back over, jumping into Izuku's sweater, "none of you could do anything."
"You shouldn't have put yourself in danger! Nor should you have used your quirk like that!" Kamui Woods lectured, wagging a finger at the boy, "didn't you see how dangerous it is."
"No, I didn't." izuku deadpanned, mockingly waving a hand in front of his own face and bringing attention to his eyes.
"Are you devoid of any sense!" Mt Lady shouted at him, "you're helpless! You shouldn't have even been out there!"
Izuku felt his anger boil over, "Oh bullshit!" he snapped, catching the heroes off guard, "i did what none of you could do and you're STILL calling me helpless! Well screw you! I don't need anyone to save me and I don't need to wait around for another hero to stand around with his head up his ass doing nothing!" with that Izuku stomped off angrily, leaving an imprint of his foot in the concrete.
"Oi Deku-" Bakugo tried to stop him, but Izuku shoved him into a wall, and embedded him into the concrete.
"Fuck off Katsuki." Izuku spat, continuing on his way, grumbling to himself as he went. After a few blocks he stopped and whirled around, "Stop following me!" he demanded into what many would have assumed was an empty street, until a muscular blonde man came sliding out.
"I AM HERE AFTER BEING CAUGHT RED HANDED!" All-Might boomed, posing, "FORGIVE ME YOUNG MIDORIYA! BUT I CAME TO-HURK!" blood spewed from Toshinori's mouth as he deflated.
"Should you really be tearing yourself up like this?" Izuku questioned as Toshinori wiped his mouth.
"I'll be fine." he wheezed, standing up straight, "I came to apologize to you, young Midoriya, when I spoke to you before, I had dismissed your dream so carelessly, but you've shown me the error of my ways; out of everyone there, only you were able to go forth and save that hostage, no one else. You were more of a hero than even me out there."
Izuku felt moved, especially since he could sense Toshinori's heartbeat, the man had been stone cold serious as he spoke this. "Thank you, All-Might." he said softly.
"I deem you worthy of my power."
Izuku quirked an eyebrow, "Excuse me?" he asked
"My quirk isn't like others," Toshinori began explaining, "it was passed down to me, as it was passed down to my master, and hers before her! A sacred torch of heroism passed through the ages! One For All…and I want you, to be my successor."
Izuku mulled those words over, slowly raising a hand to pet Acorn's head, "I can't accept." he said.
"That's the spiri-come again?" Toshinori asked in surprise.
"I can't accept." he said again, smiling a bit, "all my life I've been told that I was too weak and helpless to even walk to school on my own, my own mother thinks i'm some…porcelain doll that can't go more than a few steps without risking it's life…today I showed everyone that I can be more than that. That I can be a hero…and I want to do it on my own, with my own power. Because I don't need anything else. So I'm sorry…but I can't take your quirk. "
"I understand." Toshinori said with a small nod, "I respect wanting to go forth on your own power; and I believe you'll go far." he grinned, "how about I help you train? You may not inherit my power, but I still wish to help you on your road to heroism."
Izuku grinned at that, 'I'll accept any help you can give.' he said, bowing respectfully, "Thank you."
"Don't thank me for too long," Toshi said playfully, "i'm gonna run you through the ringer, see how far you can push yourself. But for now, head home; we can meet at Dagobah beach in a few days' time."
With good-byes said, Izuku continued on home, a small spring in his step, and a lightness he hadn't felt outside of his daily sparring with Hama.
That feeling disappeared as soon as he opened his front door.
"Izuku!" his mother shouted at him as soon as he had rounded the corner into their living room. There were tears streaming down her cheeks as she quickly began fussing over him, checking for injuries, "what were you thinking! Running into danger like that! I've always told you if there's danger, run the other way! Oh dear did you get confused out there-"
"I wasn't confused," Izuku said bluntly, tired of the needless coddling his mother tried to force upon him, as well as the stress from the day making him shorter with his mother than usual, "I ran in there knowing i was facing a villain, Katsuki was in trouble-'
"-you're fragile, you're blind!" his mother exclaimed, "you could have gotten yourself killed!"
"But I didn't!" he ran a frustrated hand through his hair, "instead I was able to save Katsuki! I'm not the weak little boy you think I am mom! I'm strong, I can be a hero-"
"-of course you can't! How can you? Izuku you need to dream realistically-" his mother practically begged.
"I AM DREAMING REALISTICALLY!" Izuku finally exploded, his mother recoiling in shock as her usually mild mannered son began to shout, "For ten years since I've learned how to use my damn quirk I've been dreaming realistically! I've been trying to talk to you for TEN YEARS ABOUT IT! But you ALWAYS dismissed me! 'Oh you must have been dreaming dear' 'Oh you can't think you can do that! You're fragile!' that's ALL I'VE HEARD FOR MY WHOLE LIFE! DO YOU KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING THAT IS!? To try your hardest over, and over, and OVER AGAIN, only to be dismissed as some, some stupid kid who doesn't know better!?" he paced back and forth as he ranted, "all you had to do was listen! Just once! Listen to ME, what I had to say! To believe in me just ONE TIME! But you couldn't even do that! Even when you have proof right in front of you that I CAN do something, that I CAN save myself and others!"he took a deep breath, his face felt numb, and guilt ate away at his insides as he realized his mother was crying, he spun around on his heels and put his shoes back on, "I can't…" he choked out as he opened the door.
"Izuku baby wait-" his mother sobbed, but he was already out the door and down the steps before she could even get to the door. "IZUKU!"
He quickly fled the apartment complex, running into the old playground and behind a tree, sitting down at its base as he furiously wiped away tears; Acorn whined and locked at his hand, making Izuku hug the dog tightly.
He didn't know how long he stayed there, wallowing in misery, but it ended when a gruff voice growled out.
"Deku."
He didn't look up, he could sense Bakugo standing just on the edge of his 'vision', "i'm not in the mood Bakugo." He muttered thickly, wiping away tears.
"No shit." The other boy sneered, sitting down at a nearby tree, surprising, but Izuku wasn't letting his guard down.
They sat in silence for a moment before Bakugo spoke again, "Auntie called the Hag, told her what happened; she sent me to find you."
"I'm not going back."
"Bullshit you're not." Was his elegant retort, "auntie is hysterical-"
"She's always hysterical." Izuku spat, bakugo's eyes widening a bit in surprise, "she doesn't even let me take a of the house without a cane, a dog, and you. The last time I got a papercut she spent four hours crying." Izuku shook his head angrily, "like you would understand. You were on her side."
"I wasn't."
"Oh bullshit." He sneered, "you didn't even let me walk on my own until a year and a half ago."
"That was to piss you off." Bakugo scoffed, "everything I did was to piss you off."
"You're joking." Izuku deadpanned, despite knowing the truth from Bakugos steady heartbeat.
"When you ran off after I broke your stupid stick when we were younger, i thought you were useless." Bakugo said, Izukus lip twitched at the word useless, "you couldn't see, you barely had a handle on your quirk, and you still thought you could be a hero-"
"-obviously I can be. Saved your butt." Izuku grumbled.
"And when did you ever show that?" Bakugo demanded, "you came out of getting lost not needing your cane, you'd crow and cry to Auntie that you could use your quirk and didn't need a watcher but NEVER showed that you could, you'd just bow your head and meekly play along with that bullshit. It pissed me off!" Bakugo spat, "You're not as slick as you think you are Deku, I see all the subtle shit you do with your quirk, tripping up Yorobi and Hashiga, causing tekai to do the splits on the field; hell, you throw random rocks at me from halfway across the fucking school when you think I couldn't possibly know it was you."
"You knew I was doing that!?" Izuku exclaimed in shock.
"Yeah, no shit Sherlock, I also know you go see that shitty blind Buffalo in the woods to train!" He snapped.
"Why didn't you tell my mom?" He demanded angrily, jumping to his feet, Bakugo mirroring him as Acorn jumped out of Izuku's jacket. Bouncing between them anxiously,
"I ain't your damn keeper, nerd!" Bakugo shouted, "you got problems you deal with them yourself! But I'm not gonna stand for that prissy weak willed mask you throw on anymore!"
He laughed as Izuku got chest to chest with him, his fists clenched at his side, "you know you wanna do it Deku." He sneered, "come on, do it. Punch me-"
BAM! the hit felt like he had gotten slammed by a sledgehammer, he almost doubled over, but Bakugo wasn't gonna give Izuku the satisfaction of knowing that hurt; so he clocked the boy on the jaw, soon they were tussling on the ground, Acorn yipping and barking at them.
After a while the two boys were lying on their back, breathing heavily and covered in bruises and dust.
"You're an asshole." Izuku seethed breathlessly.
"Like I give a fuck." Bakugo retorted, holding his bruised ribs, "if you'd grown a fucking spine earlier than none of this would have happened."
"Or you could've just not been a dick our entire childhood."
Bakugo barked out a laugh, groaning as the action made his ribs ache, "all you had to do was stop acting weak." He sneered, "stop acting weak and standing up to your Mom."
"So what? It's my fault my mother thinks I'm made of glass?" Izuku grunted.
"Nah, I'm saying you're both dumbasses, it runs in the family."
Izuku chuckled weakly at that, "well, next time you try and start shit at school I'm gonna sink you into the ground and leave you with your head sticking out like a bush."
Bakugo scoffed at that, gingerly getting to his feet, leaning against the tree, "you sure you're not gonna meekly pretend you don't know where I am you coward-"
*BOOM!
The pillar that shot up underneath him launched him fifteen feet in the air, he landed with a painful THUD! on his back, groaning as he rolled onto his side.
"I'm sure." Izuku said smugly, his hand curled into a fist where he'd thumped it on the ground to produce this result, "does this means you're not mad I'm applying to UA's Hero course?"
"Knew you were lying." Bakugo wheezed, "and no, I'm still fucking furious, But at least now I know I'll get to wail on you when we get in; it almost makes up for you RUINING MY ORIGIN STORY."
"Life's not a Manga Bakago."
"THE FUCK YOU JUST SAY TO ME!?"
"YOU HEARD ME."
Bakugo glared at Izuku, then burst out laughing, izuku soon followed. Finally both boys got up, Acorn jumping into Izuku's jacket as soon as he was on his feet.
"Shit." Bakugo sighed as they began stumbling towards the street, "if Auntie was hysterical when you ran out, then she's gonna be fucking livid when she sees what you look like now."
"It can't be that bad." Izuku scoffed.
"I'm pretty sure I gave you a black eye."
"I wasn't using it anyways."
Bakugo grunted at that, shoving his hands into his pocket. "Either way it's gonna be another argument when we get to your apartment…you are going back right?"
"I'm walking ain't I?" Izuku asked dryly, "you were right, it's partially my fault for letting mom continue to coddle me. I gotta stand up for myself."
"Bout fucking time." Bakugo griped, "i'm tired of waking up early just to get to your shitty apartment."
Izuku shook his head, the rest of the walk was done in silence, soon they were back at his apartment, Izuku hesitating at the door.
"Don't bitch out." Bakugo growled, making izuku sigh and open the door.
Where he was almost immediately crushed in a hug.
"Oh izuku why would you run off like that! She cried as Mitsuki stepped around her friend and looked at her son.
"What happened to you?" She asked.
"Hmph, nerd knows how to throw a punch." He muttered, unconsciously rubbing the bruise on his jaw, he knew if he pulled up his shirt he'd be greeted by a myriad of bruises on his chest and stomach. Not like Izuku was any better, he'd definitely given the boy a black eye.
"HA! I knew he could be a scrapper when he wanted!" Mitsuki laughed, turning to look back at the Midoriyas, "it sounds like you two got a lot to talk about, we'll be going."
"Thank you so much Katsuki!" Inko called out as they left,
"Mom…can't…breathe…" Izuku gasped, prompting Inko to quickly let him go.
"I'm sorry!" she cried, quickly guiding her son to the couch, "Katsuki did this to you?"
"I think he came out worse." Izuku mumbled as his mother sniffled, "Mom…I'm sorry, for blowing up at you…I shouldn't have yelled." he said mutely.
"Oh sweetie," she sighed, cupping his cheek, "I should be apologizing, I…well I didn't take your diagnoses very well, I was so worried you wouldn't be able to handle yourself; I just…I couldn't believe that you had found a way to take care of yourself." She sniffled, "I'm sorry Izuku, I failed as a mother."
Izuku wiped his tears away, "I didn't exactly try very hard to show you." Izuku muttered, "I just gave up when I couldn't convince you after the first few times," he smiled up as his mother, "how about let's start over?"
Inko hugged her son again, "I would really like that!" she cried, and this time Izuku joined in.
A little while later Izuku was collapsing into bed, the stress of the day, as well as the fight he'd been in, had him asleep before his head even hit the pillow, Acorn curling up on his back, tail over his nose.
