As Skyfire was bringing Aquaformer in to be seen, the other Autobots had returned from the battle and the cons were either destroyed or in special prison cells. Optimus was relieved that the war was finally over. "My fellow Autobots, it finally is over. Megatron is no more and his troops are either dead or imprisoned. Now, we must remain vigilant of things that may come and attack our adopted world of earth, but we are now free to be Autobots in peace time. And in this time of piece, it is time for those who can to come forth, bond, and bring new life to replace the life lost in this last infernal war" Optimus annouced to all. All cheered, as they were happy that the war was over and now peace would reign.
Cosmos heard the Prime's words and smiled. Optimus had set them free to be normal bots. Cosmos wanted that to include Lancex, as well as Optimus and Grimlock if that was what was meant to be. But Cosmos realized he didn't have a clue what it meant to be a bonded bot, and he wanted to know more. He figured he would seek out Ultra Magnus as the bot was bonded and not as stuck up as Prowl.
Jazz approached Prowl who had been a bit stand-offish. Prowl just looked to the bot and Jazz explained that Lancex was merely a friend and had no desire to be with Jazz. Prowl scanned the bot and realized what Jazz said was true. Prowl offered a small smile to Jazz, not revealing more as they were still in public. Jazz felt better now that Prowl realized that he was never in competition with any other bot for Jazz's affections. They would share time later.
Grimlock was happy to hear what Optimus had annouced, but the dinobit was a bit confused. The war was over and now the bot longed to be with others and have offspring like Optimus talked about. He would have to seek out a bot more knowledgeable than him. He would look for Skyfire as Grimlock figured Optimus knew little more than Grimlock and Grimlock respected Skyfire.
Meanwhile, thinking of what he just annouced, Optimsu realized how little he knew of bonding and about Lancex. And no one aboard knew more about Lancex than Aquaformer. Optimus realized he was going to have to talk to the defiant femme if he really wanted to have a chance at earning Lancex's spark, but he decided it was worth it, once her mates would allow him to approach her. That would be a challenge in and of itself.
