While hide went to find Perceptor, Optimus headed for the med bay as he needed to talk to Aquaformer. Upon arrival and entering, Ratchet was off always watching things and Skyfire and Ultra Magnus were trying to help Aquaformer though the way they were going about it annoyed her. They were nervous since they had almost lost her. She didn't like being treated like she was made of glass. Optimus made his presence known, and without thinking about it, Skyfire and Ultra Magnus immediately stood in front of their sparked mate. "I came here to talk to Aquaformer" Optimus started out.
"Why should we let you?" Ultra Magnus challenged, seemingly unaware of how annoyed Aquaformer was with her mates.
"Because if you two don't get out of here now, I will make sure your appliances are sore for at least a week" Aquaformer demanded, even causing Optimus and Ratchet to cringe in pain as Aquaformer was that sick of being babied. Ultra Magnus and Skyfire quickly left, as they knew their mate meant business. Besides, Optimus was no threat and Aquaformer had a good idea why Optimus approached her. "Why do you seek me, sir?" She asked.
Optimus signed at that. "Aquaformer, the war is over and as Prime I declared that it is time for us to help repopulate. Thing is, and I can't believe I am coming to you of all bots about this, I am drawn to Lancex. And I want to know more about him…if you know anything that might help me understand him" Optimus explained.
Aquaformer realized that this wasn't a mission, but another bot seeking her help. "Lancex is a good bot, but he keeps much to himself. His emotions have been a bit blunted from having been on his own so long before I found him. He can be a tough nut to crack if you don't earn his trust. He may be a submissive mech, but he can kick your tailpipe or worse if you cross him or disrespect him or where he came from. He is the type to shoot first and ask questions later, he has to be with how he was trained. But he also needs to be supported, he needs bots that understand he isn't always strong, that he struggles. He needs one that won't give up on him even when he has given up on himself. And at times, he needs reminded that he isn't in charge, that he is a submissive bot, and it is okay. Also, if he has happened to had any interfacing with another submissive mech, they will have to bond to other bots as a pair, they cannot be separated in bonding" Aquaformer revealed. Optimus nodded, this was way more than he had expected and it was quite a bit to process.
