Chapter 6 Saved by Jedi
It took up to a month for Padme and Sola to learn the written form of English and they are still practising every day, they are getting better and better every day. Right now I am dressed as one of Padme's handmaids and she is about to have a meeting it is due to start soon.
"Again you come before us, your highness" one of the trade federation greets
"You will not be so pleased when you hear what I have to say, Viceroy your trade boycott of our planet has ended" The Queen announced
"I was not aware of such failure" the trade federation being that spoke before drawled
"I have word that the chancellor's ambassadors are with you now… and that you have been commanded to reach settlement" The Queen stated
"I know nothing of any ambassadors you must be mistaken" the same being drawled
"Beware, Viceroy. The federation has gone too far this time." The Queen asserted
"We would never do anything without the approval of the Senate. You assume too much" the same being drawled
"We will see" The Queen stated
"Negotiations haven't started because the ambassadors aren't there? How could that be true? I have assurances from the chancellor his ambassadors did arrive" Palpatine stated
"It must – handiwork – negotiate – ambassadors –nobody would –" a distorted voice stated
"Senator Palpatine? What's happening?" The Queen asked
"Check the transmission generator," Captain Panaka asked
"A communications disruption can mean only one thing: invasion" governor Bibble suggested
"The Federation would not dare go that far" The Queen stated
"The senate would revoke their trade franchise, and they'd be finished" Captain Panaka added
"We must continue to rely on negotiation" The Queen informed
"Negotiation? We've lost all communications and where are the chancellor's ambassadors?" Governor Bibble questioned
"This is a dangerous situation, Your Highness. Our security volunteers will be no match against a battle-hardened Federation army." Captain informed
"I will not condone a course of action that will lead us to war" The Queen declared Padme got up from her chair and goes to the window and looks out as droids enter the room.
"How will you explain this invasion to the senate?" Governor Bibble inquires
"The queen and I will sign a treaty that will legitimize our occupation here. I have assurances it will be ratified by the senate" the trade federation being informed
"I will not cooperate," The Queen stated
"Now, now, your highness in time, the suffering of your people will persuade you to see our point of view. Commander" the trade federation being stated
"Yes, sir," the droid says
"Process them" The trade federation being instructed
"Captain, take them to Camp 4." The droid says
"roger, roger," another droid says and a group of androids start leading us to this camp we get a bit of the way there until two Jedi and a Gungan jump down and take out the droids
"We should leave the street, Your Highness" One of the Jedi informed
"get their weapons" governor Bibble stated
"Whoa! Yousa guys bombad!" the Gungan exclaimed
"We're ambassadors for the supreme chancellor" One of the Jedi informed
"Your negotiations seemed to have failed, ambassador," Governor Bibble remarked
"The negotiations never took place, it's urgent that we make contact with the republic" the Jedi revealed
"They've knocked out all our communications." Captain Tanaka answered
"do you have transports?" the Jedi inquired
"In the main hanger. This way." Tanaka replied and we head to the hanger "there are too many of them" Tanaka commented
"That won't be a problem" the Jedi acknowledged "Your Highness, under the circumstances, I suggest you come to Coruscant with us." The Jedi added
"Thank you, Ambassador, but my place is with my people." The Queen voiced
"They will kill you if you stay" the Jedi protested
"They wouldn't dare" Bibble interrupted
"They need her to sign a treaty to make this invasion legal. They can't afford to kill her" Tanaka added
"There is something else behind all this, Your Highness. There's no logic in the Federation's move here. My feelings tell me they will destroy you." The Jedi informed
"Our only hope is for the senate to side with us. Senator Palpatine will need your help" Governor Bibble added
"Either choice presents great danger… to us all" The Queen voiced
"We are brave, your highness," Padme replied
"If you are to leave, Your highness, it must be now" the Jedi instructed
"Then I will plead our case to the Senate. Be careful, Governor" Padme decided and with that, we enter the hangar.
"We'll need to free those pilots," Tanaka stated
"I'll deal with that" the other Jedi declared
"Halt!" a droid uttered
"I'm an ambassador to the supreme chancellor. I'm taking these people to Coruscant" The Jedi informed
"Where are you taking them?" a droid quizzed
"To Coruscant" The Jedi clarified
"Coruscant? Uh, that doesn't compute uh wait you're under arrest" the droid uttered The Jedi start fighting the droids
"Come on, move!" one Jedi urged and we run into the ship, Once the pilots and Jedi are in the ship takes off and we leave the planet. I am sitting with Padme, coming to terms with everything, then the ship got attacked and right now the two Jedi and Tanaka are in the room with us.
"An extremely well-put-together little droid, your highness. Without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives" Tanaka commented
"It is to be commended. What is its number?" the queen inquired
"R2-D2, your highness" Tanaka replied
"Thank you, R2-D2" the queen thanked, there is happy chirping "Padme. Clean this droid up as best you can. It deserves our gratitude Continue, Captain." The queen instructed
"Your highness, with your permission, we're heading for a remote planet called Tatooine. It's in a system far beyond the reach of the Trade Federation." The Jedi informed
"I do not agree with the Jedi on this," Tanaka added
"You must trust my judgement, your highness" the Jedi shared Right now I am sitting in one of the rooms thinking about everything that has happened when I sense someone approaching my direction, I turn around to see.
