A/N: In this story, Ky is nonbinary, so Ky transitions from she to they pronouns, but never he. Their body does not change. Their brother calls them her/she, like most of her closer friends, while Chiron uses they/them, as well as all of the other campers. Now, on with the show!
Was he upset? Sure. angry? Yeah, you could say that. Was he okay? Absolutely not. Percy was stressed, closed off, and if he said so himself, a bit depressed. After all, his girlfriend seemed like she was in love with this girl, Piper maybe? All he knew was that they had been spending a lot of time together, and it did kind of make sense, after all, they both had amnesiac boyfriends, but he was getting sick of it. Piper was all Annabeth talked about now, and it was annoying. His so-called best friend, Grover, wasn't even talking to Percy, and he was starting to feel ignored.
He opened the door to Bunker 9, since that's where Leo usually spends his time since they had gotten back from Camp Jupiter, trying out new designs for automatons, making repairs, and whatever it was that mechanics did. His sister usually followed him there, chatted with Leo, helped him out sometimes, and she even went over without him, so he was starting to suspect something going on between the two teens. His younger sister Kyra, mostly called Ky, had pretty, medium length brown hair, hazel (a/n hah) eyes, and wore glasses. Would he say she was good looking? Yeah, he supposed so. Like, he wouldn't say she was dropdead gorgeous, but she was pretty good looking. Ky walked in, calling over her shoulder as she came in. "I know, Leo, I'll meet you at the lake. At least let me change first!" "Oh! Hey Perce!" "Hey Ky, where ya going?" he asked curiously. "Me, Leo, and Nico are going 'somewhere special', according to Leo. Annabeth is looking for ya, by the way. She said something about meeting her at the lighthouse? Have fun!" He was startled. He hadn't been to their special place since he got his memory back. "Okay, have fun yourself. Tell Nico to come find me later, okay?" "Got it. See ya!" Ky called over her shoulder.
Ky ran to Leo as soon as they saw him at the lake with Nico. "Hey, Fire Boy, Neeks. Told you I would be 5 minutes." "That was 15 minutes, Ky. you're late." Nico said. Ky rolled their eyes. "Fine! So, Leo, where are we going?" They said excitedly. Leo chuckled. "You'll see. Promise."
He said mysteriously. "Ugh! Come on, just tell me!" She begged. "Not yet, Ky. All I'm telling you is that Nico is staying outside." he answered with a glance in said boy's direction. Nico ignored him. "Actually, Nico, if you could just go and get Hazel for me, that would be great. Oh, and can you give this to her? Thanks man. See ya soon!" With that, he gave nico a small brown package and grabbed Ky's arm. "C'mon Ky! Let's go!" He said to her, pulling her along as Nico shadow-traveled away to Camp Jupiter. She shook him off."I can walk, you know." she stated playfully as she jogged to catch up to the Latino. "We're here." he said, as they arrived at… a cave. Ky stared. "It's.. a cave, Leo. Just a cave. Why did you drag me to a cave?" They asked. "I know it's a cave, Ky! It's what's inside that matters." he responded, a bit of pink creeping onto his cheeks. Ky shrugged. "Okay, let's go then!" They said, running off into the cave. "Come on, Leo!" they called over their shoulder. " I- im coming, Ky, just a sec!" he called at their retreating back nervously.
His hair caught on fire. Shit shit shit ah i should not have done this dammit!
He thought anxiously. He took a deep breath, then followed Ky inside.
"Whoa." Ky said as they saw the setup. "Leo, what is this?" she asked cautiously. "U-um, well, it's a- a picnic. F-for us." he stuttered quickly, blushing madly and suddenly looking very interested in his shoes. "Okay, well, that part is obvious, but what about the large, very angry looking.. whatever that is behind it?" "Wait, WHAT? Oh gods, oh gods, this was not how i planned this!" he yelled agitatedly. "YEAH, DUH!" Ky yelled as they pulled Anaklusmos out of their pocket and shoved Leo back toward the entrance."GO GET HELP! I GOT THIS!" they yelled as the monster charged.
