When you wake up from a nap you expect to at least be somewhat groggy when you wake up right? Well this morning was especially different for some reason. It was especially weird that it was Monday and I did not feel tired or anything.

Usually when I wake up I try to stay asleep for an extra few minutes and pretend like I don't have a life and only had to worry about how comfortable I can feel. But inevitably, I get up and start getting ready for class, but today was different.

Today I was up like I was on sunshine, maybe some happy stuff I don't know. Regardless, I jump out of bed and getting on my clothes and getting my backpack ready for school. It was 8AM 'jeez don't I hate myself for choosing early classes'.

I headed out to my living room, well my mom's living room. If you're wondering, didn't my mom live in a smaller apartment with Paul and Estelle. Well yes, but ever since my mom's book finally hit the ground running she was able to rack in loads of cash, and she was able to get a better place with at least 3 bedrooms, otherwise it would be weird if I shared a room with my 3 year old little sister.

As I got out into the living room, I noticed my mom and she did likewise, "Hey Percy I was just about to see if you were awake, I'm making breakfast want any?" she said.

"Sure, just a bagel would be fine."

"Airtightly" she replied.

"Percy!, want to see my barbies?"

Of course, Estelle is awake too but how could I ever say no to get to hang out with my favorite sister.

"Yeah, which one did you get out today" I said smiling at her.

"I got the astronaut barbie; she's so pretty I wish I could be an astronaut one day." She said with the most enthusiasm a 3-year-old could muster.

"I bet you will one day, you have the best parents ever razing you." I replied.

Maybe I could get Artemis to show Estelle something, no I doubt I'd be able to ever get to talk to her let alone ask her a favor.

As my mom was toasting my bagel, she said "Well I just hope I do a better job for her"

"Hey, I'm right here you know."

"Oh, you heard that."

"Yes, I heard that, and look I turn out great."

"Define great…"

"Is my bagel ready?" I said, hoping to change the subject from dog on Percy to something else.

"Almost, just a few more minutes. What class do you have today again?"

"I have marine ecology 2 today, should be a slow day to be honest though." Speaking of which, I should probably have remembered that I had homework due tomorrow.

"Sound fun, well your bagel is ready, stay safe Percy." She said giving me my bagel.

"I will, I love you mom."

"I love you too."

"Bye Estelle"

"BYEEEE PERCY" She screamed.

I left the apartment ready to face the morning rush that was Manhattan.

Getting to the subway was half the battle, besides seeing a monster spilling his coffee, and two people fighting over a tourist to enter their shop. I was scared that a something mythical would make my trip harder than it needed to be, It usually does, such as a cyclops wanting to eat a poor dog, or a monster donut trying to scam me out of all my drachma, but like this morning, it was oddly peaceful. When I got to the college, I was greeted by Grover who was panting like he had just ran a marathon.

"Hey G man what's up."

"Nothing, but just wanted to see how you were." He said while munching on a soda can he had in his pocket.

"I'm good man, just trying to make it through today with no issues."

"I mean after your class you want to walk around the park nearby, I'm here anyways because I needed to check on a wood nymph who said that their neighbors were encroaching on their land." He said dejectedly.

"Yeah, I'll be happy to meet up after class"

After class was over I headed to the park to meet with Grover. I know he had that nymph to deal with, after all they sure are petty over small things, and since he's on the Counsel of Clover Elders, its his job to deal with stuff like that. But shouldn't they have other people to do that stuff for them? Well maybe they do but this was a special event.

"Hey Perce, how was class." He said with a smile on his face.

"It was good, we learned about the structure collapse of an ecosystem if a single species was removed."

"That sounds nice, I wish every human took that class, but none the less, I think the nymphs were just fixing their annual boarders and to make their squabble go away and their property lines official, I had to be there."

"well, I guess you don't want to the Karen nymph drawing her own boarders"

"You have no idea man" he said with a oddly deadly look on his face.

"Ok…, I guess I don't. well, I'm going to head home now, you want to come over for dinner?" I asked.

"No, if I did Juniper would be upset, she said she was making a special dinner tonight."

"How sounds interesting, you'll have to Iris message me later to tell me how it goes."

"Will do man."

"Well, I'll see you later."

"See ya." He said parting ways.

Well Making my way home was the same as it was going to class, absolutely no mythical issues, but I shouldn't have known there is always a catch to these types of days. When I walked into the door to the apartment, I saw Artemis talking to my mom while Estelle was playing with a hunter barbie doll.

"Hello?" I said very confused.

"Hello Percy, Artemis here was just telling me of some very concerning information…"

A/N: Well, that was the first chapter. I hope y'all liked it. I plan for there to be some fluff in this, but it won't be all fluff I promise. There will be conflict and stuff, but I want this to be more involved with wholesome stuff too. That is my favorite type of fan fic after all.

I don't have a coordinated direction yet for the story, but I will say that this is a going to be a pertmis story, so you have been WARN! Lol I have too much fun sometimes.
