Chapter 35:United we Stand…
It wasn't supposed to be like this.
It was supposed to be a simple little place for everyone to gather together and feel safe and secure. It would be a facsimile of what once was.
There was no television, no radio, no internet. Nothing but books, if any survived the apocalypse.
He hadn't realized how much he really was shaped by his family until it was taken from him.
"Penny, no. No, Penny."
She was all he had. He wouldn't lose her now.
"I love you, Daddy." She said.
He started to cry, and kept crying over her dead body.
Until she revived.
He looked at her. This was still his daughter.
He raised the gun to her forehead.
She hissed.
He decided to lock her up for now. She would be safer there.
Yes, that would be best indeed.
When she struck down his undead daughter, that was when he swore revenge.
He'd get his wish.
He gunned them all down.
Which is why, as he advanced on the prison grounds…he knew he wasn't going to make it.
He was too far gone.
Divided we fall.
He barely felt the sound of her walking his way until she ended it for him. He was dying.
Philip knew no more.
The Governor was nothing more than food for the walkers now.
