"Welcome back" said Chromos. "So, tell me, how did changing history feel?"

Ruby couldn't even begin to describe how she felt. She had just saved her Uncle! And now Tyrian was dead too! She couldn't wait to go and save Penny, Pyrrha, Professor Ozpin, and her Mom!

"Umm, can we go through the portal thingy again? There are still a lot people I want to save!" Ruby said.

Chromos chuckled. "Of course! That being said, I have some more specific instructions for you this time around!"

"What is it?" Jaune asked.

"Well, I was observing your little misadventure, and I couldn't help but notice that you were having some trouble fighting, so, this time around, I am asking you two to travel back to before the "Beacon Dance" and, instead of trying to kill Cinder and her allies, just make some other changes instead?"

"Other changes?" Ruby asked.

"Yes, it true that battles are some of the most important things in history, and changing them could have huge effects on splinter timelines. After all, thanks to the fact that your Uncle Qrow created a splinter timeline by killing Tyrian, there now exists a universe where a man named Forest isn't killed, a mass murder in Mantle is averted, and a friend of your Uncle's named Clover is still alive! But, seeing you all still struggle in fights worries me. At this rate, I will never be freed! So please, I ask that you two make some less action-oriented changes! For example, Ruby, maybe you can try being friends with people you have never talked to before, and Jaune, maybe you can ask Pyrrha to be your girlfr-"

In an instant, Jaune turned around and jumped through the portal.

"Oh come on! I still have another thing I want to say!"

Ruby laughed. It was nice seeing Jaune all enthusiastic again.

"Alright Ruby, tell this to Jaune. I still want you all to train so that when Beacon is attacked, you can save your friends and your sister's arm as well. Do you understand? "

She nodded.

"Good. Now go!"

Before she left, Ruby looked back at the barrier that Chromos had been imprisoned in. The line which had presumably once been straight was now different. It now had to other lines diverging from the straight one. One timeline was made because Jaune asked Pyrrha for some medical supplies, and another was made because Tyrian was dead. She couldn't wait until the barrier was completely cracked!

As she walked towards the portal, she realized something!

"Oh crap! I gotta find Jaune!"

At long last, I am done with this story arc's first act! Hope you enjoyed this! Before this ends though, I just want to say to two things. First off, there is a 50/50 chance that I will upload a new chapter next week because, now that I am done with this story arc's first act, I kinda wanna take a little break (I hope you can understand that) so if I don't upload a new chapter, it means that there will be a short hiatus until the following week. Anyways, speaking of story arcs, please think of them as volumes (like how RWBY titles it seasons as volumes). Currently, I am planning for there to be around 6-9 volumes, depending on how the story progresses, so get ready everyone, because this is going to be one wild ride!

(Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, I'm gonna try to remember to finally give this story a cover next week!)
