The light tapping of rain is the first thing I notice the moment things start clearing up for me ,I also notice that there's a white blinding light that quickly makes me keep my eyes close and a light beeping sound that's coming from somewhere on my side. The pounding headaches I feel is something I haven't felt before it's not helping but what I notice with my body the feeling I have it's like lighter than usual but heavy as well ,I'm also brought to my attention I'm currently laying on something that's soft which feels great on my sore back.
Finally my eyes adjust to the light after a couple of nerve wracking minutes I open my eyes and what greets me is a white tile ceiling that has grooved patterns in it, deciding to try to get up I immediately fall back down as pain starts shooting all around my neck to the rest of my body. It's like something hot slicing all over my neck without stopping, struggling to keep breathing I breath slowly through my nose, my throat is where I mostly hurt like breathing in an intense heat I try not to make any more movements. What seems like hours finally the pain subsides a little just enough so I can try to concentrate on breathing through my nose a little more slower, thankfully I notice a nurse coming in the door way quickly coming over standing over me. She has a vibrant red crimson hair with black highlights and deep blue eyes that are filled with worry and shock.
Mrs. please calm down your in no such condition to be moving around you were in a accident and have sustained severe injuries. Just take a deep breath for me in and out a few times and try to are currently in the royal city of Dublin hospital can you please tell me your name? My name the only thing that comes to mind is brit for some reason I can't remember the rest of it maybe it's Brittney or could be a nickname but it's the closest thing I can come up with. Not wanting to risk having another spasm or whatever happened with my throat I point towards my throat hoping she gets the idea I cant really talk.
Oh dear my bad I forgot you may not be able to speak after you have awoken, here's a napkin and my pen you can use that to write on for the moment. Quickly scribbling BRIT I also add what happened in messy words. Looking at my feeble attempts at writing the nurse flashes me a smile, for some reason that smile seemed a little familiar but why? To be honest you where found outside with burns all over your upper chest and neck area ,you also sustained deep gashes all over your side on your neck that we were able to stich up. The biggest concern was blood loss and possible infection along with damage to your vocal cords, but we where able to get you stabilized and start treating your burns as well thankfully while you was out most of the damage has healed. Your vocal cords we will have to see most likely you will have a few scars how bad I cannot tell.
She continued telling me everything else from the fact I have just woken from a coma for a year and everything else that they treated me for so far, at the moment 2 things I'm concerned with one being the fact I can't remember anything from what happened to me or even my own name? The second being what the bloody hell did I get into to knock me out for a year?
Well Mrs. Brit let me go get the doctor so he can further exam you and know that he's mysterious patient has finally woken up, as she's walking out the door she flashes me a smile and a wink, her name tag thankfully I catch a glimpse of it reads Lucille greyhound. With that she runs out of the door her footstep's echo in the hall all i can do is do what I've been doing for apparently a year lay and weight. Looking around I hope she comes back soon doctor or no doctor already I'm getting bored
So far 2 chapter's in 1 week to me that's a good start I have something planned for this, I would love your comments and feedback from this so far until next chapter stay safe and in the comments who do you think our mysterious Lucy could be?
