/... Something I realized is that the custom card Pendulum Synchron is supposed to be a Tuner monster, but I never actually put that in with its introduction info...

Chapter 20: Trial 2: Synchro
Flying along the lands of the Spirit Realm, the 3 Sacred Beasts escort Osrelios and Ray to their next destination.
The two riding atop Uria look at the surrounding landscape.
"Honestly the idea of this place has always amazed me, and seeing it in person takes that to a new level." Oz commented.
"It certainly is breathtaking." Ray agreed.
Oz then looked at his Duel Disk, checking its settings.
"Where did you get such an advanced Duel Disk anyway?" Ray asked. "It can connect to Real Solid Vision, and Power Vision, whatever that is, as we saw against those two duelists."
"To answer your question. I actually don't know. I kinda just woke up one day and it was on my arm." Oz explained.
Oz technically told the truth there.
"Also for your information; Power Vision is like Real Solid Vision, but it runs on the brainwaves of the user. Either through a surgical implant, as Kaiba had, or through an advanced headset that could scan brainwaves, as Yugi had."
"Those Yugi and Kaiba guys... who exactly are they? You mentioned that Yugi was the 'King of Games' or something like that."
"You don't know? Yet people recognize their aces... how does that work?"
"Those aces are Blue-Eyes and Dark Magician, right?"
Oz nods.
"When I was in school when I was young, we were taught history, which mentioned those two cards, but the names Yugi Motou and Seto Kaiba weren't ever mentioned."
"How could the first King of Games not be mentioned along his own ace? Was this a Duel Monster's unit or an Egyptian history unit?"
"...Egypt."
"Now that makes sense. Anyway, Yugi Motou was the first ever Duelist to be granted the title of King of Games from the creator of Duel Monsters: Maximillion Pegasus. He had to go through a whole island wide tournament known as Duelist Kingdom just to get to Pegasus. Seto Kaiba is known for being Yugi Motou's rival. He was known for having the most skill out of every Duelist out there, other that Yugi himself."
"Wow. And for us to defeat such Duelists..."
"All I'm gonna say is that we got lucky. Even with outdated Decks, they are still forced to be reckoned with."
The two then noticed that they are heading towards a large mountain.
The Sacred Beasts stopped at the peak before dropping the duo off and disappearing.
They looked around to see if they could find their opponent, when Oz heard a familiar roar.
Oz turned and saw the Crimson Dragon appear.
"The Crimson Dragon..."
All of a sudden the Crimson Dragon flies down to where Oz was and began to glow.
The glowing faded and it was shown that the Crimson Dragon was in a shape similar to Yusei.
"Greetings young one, and his companion." The Crimson Dragon greeted.
"Uh... Greetings?" Oz said, confused.
"You must be wondering why I took this shape, your answer is that I will be your second trial." The Crimson Dragon explained. "In this form, call me Crimson Avatar."
The Deck Box of Oz' Stardust Deck opened up and the Decl flew over to the Crimson Dragon.
A crimson red Duel Disk formed on Crimson Avatar's arm.
'I guess this is happening. My own deck used against me. And who knows what else he's going to do.'
Oz then grabbed his Pendulum Deck and placed it in his Duel Disk.
"Duel!"
"I'll be taking this first turn." Crimson Avatar stated.

"I'll start by activating the spell card Tuning. This allows me to add any Tuner monster to my hand with the cost of sending cards from the top of my Deck to the GY equal to the added monster's level. I add Junk Synchron and thus I send 3 cards from the top of my deck to the GY." Crimson Avatar stated.
"Next I summon Junk Synchron."
Junk Synchron: atk: 1300
"When Junk Synchron is normal summoned, I can Special Summon 1 level 2 or lower monster from my GY. I summon Junk Converter."
Junk Converter: Def: 200
"Now I tune level 2 Junk Converter to level 3 Junk Synchron. I Sychro Summon! Junk Speeder!"
Junk Speeder: atk: 1800
"I use Junk Speeder's effect to summon as many Synchron Tuner monsters as possible from my deck. I summon Jet Synchron, Assault Synchron, and Stardust Synchron."
"Next I Triple Tune my three tuners to my Junk Speeder." Crimson Avatar declared.
"Triple tune!?" Oz exclaims.
"The king and devil combine here! Merge and become the burning sun! Triple Tune Synchro Summon! Level 12: Red Supernova Dragon!" Crimson Avatar chanted.
Red Supernova Dragon: atk: 4000
Red Supernova Dragon appeared behind Crimson Avatar and was flying around the mountain.
Oz then took a step back. "This... has become much harder."
"Red Supernova Dragon gains 500 atk for each Tuner in my GY. There are currently 4, so Red Supernova Dragon gains 2000 atk." Crimson Avatar explained.
Red Supernova Dragon: atk: 6000
"Now I set 2 cards and end my turn." Crimson Avatar declared.
"My turn. Draw." Oz stated.
Osrelios LP: 4000 hand: 6
'Okay, as long as I don't activate a monster effect, or attack, I'll have a shot. However, it can't be destroyed by my card effects. I'll have to play this safe.
"With Scale 0 Odd-Eyes Astrograph Observer, and Scale 13 Odd-Eyes Chronograph Viewer I set the Pendulum Scale! With this I can Pendulum Summon monsters with any level all at once."
Two brand new dragons rose up in the Pendulum Zones.
Odd-Eyes Astrograph Observer is a dragon that is the same shape as Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon, but with the colors of Astrograph Sorcerer. It also has glowing red and green eyes.
Odd-Eyes Astrograph Observer: Level: 6, Type: Dragon/Pendulum/Effect, Attribute: Dark, Atk: 600, Def: 1200, Scale: 0
Pendulum Effect: Your Opponent can not target Dragon Pendulum monsters you control with card effects.
Effect: If this card is Special Summoned, you can negate the effects of 1 face up card your opponent controls.
Odd-Eyes Chronograph Viewer is a dragon that is the same shape as Odd-Eyes Mirage Dragon, but with the colors of Chronograph Sorcerer, and it is twice the size of Mirage. This dragon also has red and green eyes.
Odd-Eyes Chronograph Viewer: Level: 9, Type: Dragon/Pendulum/Effect, Attribute: Dark, atk: 3100, Def: 2900, Scale: 13
Pendulum Effect: If you Fusion, Synchro, or XYZ summon a Dragon monster, you can gain LP equal to that monster's Level or Rank x100.
Effect: When this card is Pendulum Summoned, shuffle all cards your opponent controls, that activated their effects this turn, to the Deck. When this card destroys a monster by battle, that monster is shuffled back into the deck instead of being sent to the GY.
"Here we go. Ethereal powers that go beyond time and space. Gather together and call forth my allies from the far reaches of the timeline! Pendulum Summon!" Oz chanted.
"I Summon Pendulum Synchron, Unknown Synchron, and a new monster: Fast Wing Magician!" Oz declared.
The three monsters appeared from the Pendulum Portal.
Fast Wing Magician is a female humanoid monster, with light green hair, wearing clothing similar to that of White Wing Magician, but styled after Clear Wing Fast Dragon rather than Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
Fast Wing Magician: Level: 4, Type: Spellcaster/Pendulum/Tuner/Effect, Attribute: Wind, atk: 1200, Def: 1800, Scale: 2
Pendulum Effect: If your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a Pendulum or Synchro monster you control, negate that effect, then destroy this card.
Effect:(This card is always treated as a "Fast Dragon" card.) If this card you control is used as Synchro Material, you can treat it as a non-Tuner.

"I now tune level 4 Fast Wing Magician to level 3 Pendulum Synchron! Spread your sharp and beautiful wings and illuminate the heavens! Synchro Summon! Level 7: Clear Wing Fast Dragon!" Oz chanted.
Clear Wing Fast Dragon flew onto the field and roared.

"Chronograph Viewer's Pendulum Effect! When I use an extra deck method to summon a Dragon monster, I can gain LP equal to the level of the summoned monster times 100. Clear Wing is level 7, thus I gain 700 LP." Oz explained.

"I think it's finally time we step things up. What do you say Clear Wing?" Oz asked his dragon.
Clear Wing roared out.
"That's a yes. Alright, I tune level 7 Clear Wing Fast Dragon, to level 1 Unknown Synchron. Break through the barriers of the unknown and crystallize the powers beyond! Synchro Summon! Level 8: Crystal Wing Fast Dragon!" Oz chanted.
What appeared was a dragon that looks similar to Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, but with the same green armor pieces as Clear Wing Fast Dragon throughout its body. Its wings were a green colored crystal rather than a see through clear crystal.
Crystal Wing Fast Dragon: Level: 8, Type: Dragon/Synchro/Pendulum/Effect, Attribute: Wind, atk: 3000, Def: 2500, Scale: 12
Summon conditions: 1 Tuner {plus} one{plus} non-Tuner Synchro monsters.
Pendulum Effect: You can Tribute monsters whose combined levels equal this card's level, Special Summon this card from your Pendulum Zone. You must tribute at least 1 Tuner monster for this effect.
Effect: Once per turn, when your opponent activates a monster effect while you control this card (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, that monster has its effects negated until the end of this turn and its atk and Def become 0. When this card battles an opponent's level 5 or higher monster, during damage calculation: that monster loses atk equal to its current atk during that damage calculation only. If this card in your monster zone is destroyed by battle or by card effect: you can place this card in your Pendulum Zone.
The newly evolved dragon gave out a roar.
"Chronograph Viewer's Pendulum Effect! I now gain 800 LP!"

"Alright! Let's do this! Crystal Wing Fast Dragon, attack Red Supernova Dragon! Faster than the wind: Crystal Cutter!" Oz shouts.
Crystal Wing began to fly around building momentum.
"You activated Supernova's ability! When you either activate a monster effect, or attack, Supernova can banish itself along with all of your cards!" Crimson Avatar countered.
"Well, you triggered Crystal Wing's ability! When you activate a monster effect while I control Crystal Wing, I can negate the activation, negate your monster's effects and reduce your monster's stats to 0!" Oz countered back.
Crystal Wing Fast Dragon shot out heavy winds that hit Supernova Dragon as it started to heat up. Supernova immediately began to cool down.
Crystal Wing then began to charge the opposing Dragon.
"Trap card! Scrap Iron Scarecrow! Your attack is negated and this card sets itself back face down." Crimson Avatar countered again.
"In that case I'll set a single card face down and end my turn." Oz declared.
"My turn. I draw." Crimson Avatar stated.
Crimson Avatar LP: 4000 hand: 3
"I'll start by summoning Junk Servant, however it won't be around for long as I tribute it to Special Summon Stardust Synchron from my GY. At the same time, Stardust Trail summons herself due to a monster being tributed." Crimson Avatar explained.

Stardust Trail: atk: 0
"Now Stardust Synchron's effect allows me to add Arrive in Light to my hand, and with 1 less Tuner in the GY, Red Supernova Dragon loses 500 atk."
Red Supernova Dragon: atk: 5500
"Next I activate the continuous spell: Arrive in Light, and use its effect to place Converging Wills Dragon at the top of my deck."
"Now I tune level 4 Stardust Trail to level 4 Stardust Synchron. Clustering wishes will become a new shining star! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Soar, Stardust Dragon!" Crimson Avatar chanted.
Stardust appeared and roared out.
Stardust Dragon: atk: 2500
"Both Stardust Trail and Synchron are banished. Now, both Stardust Trail and Arrive in Light activate their effects. First is Stardust Trail that will summon a Stardust Token to my field." Crimson Avatar explained.
Stardust Token: Def: 0
"Next Arrive in Light allows me to draw a card since a monster was Synchro Summoned. And because I drew Converging Wills Dragon, I can summon it."
Converging Wills Dragon: atk: 0
"And Converging Wills Dragon will now summon Stardust Wurm from my Deck."
Stardust Wurm: atk: 0
"I see where this is going and I don't like it." Oz commented.
"Your right. Now I tune my level 1 Stardust Wurm, level 1 Stardust Token, and level 8 Stardust Dragon to my level 1 Converging Wills Dragon."
"Crystallized hopes break through the walls of despair. Become the surging power that eradicates the forces of Darkness. Synchro Summon! Shooting Majestic Star Dragon!" Crimson Avatar chanted.
The evolved dragon appeared from a bright red light and roared.
Shooting Majestic Star Dragon: atk: 4000
"With another Tuner in the GY, Supernova's atk rises."
Red Supernova Dragon: atk: 6000
"I use Shooting Majestic's effect I negate Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effects until the end phase."
'If I try to negate that effect, Supernova can use its effect to banish my whole field. Lucky I got a counter.' "Quick-Play Spell! Effect Shut! Your effect is negated and your monster is destroyed." Oz countered.
"I'll use Shooting Majestic Star's effect to negate your spell card by banishing itself until the End Phase." Crimson Avatar countered back.
Shooting Majestic Star Dragon disappeared in a veil of light.
"Now Supernova! Attack Crystal Wing Fast Dragon! Inferno Soul!"
Red Supernova Dragon was then surrounded by heat as it began to charge.
"When Crystal Wing Fast Dragon battles a level 5 or higher monster, that monster's atk is automatically reduced by its current amount!" Oz shouts as Crystal Wing surrounded itself with wind before charging at Supernova.
"I activate the Trap: Impenetrable Attack. I use its effect to negate all battle damage I would take for this Battle Phase." Crimson Avatar countered.
"However, your monster is still destroyed. Break through Crystal Wing! Faster than the wind: Crystal Cutter!"
Crystal Wing spun and cut straight through Supernova.
"I'll just have to end my turn. And with my End Phase, Shooting Majestic Star Dragon comes back to the field."
Shooting Majestic Star appeared from a rift.

"Alright then, my turn. I draw." Oz declared.

'Alright, I have an Omni-negate to worry about... I can get rid of it with Crystal Wing, however Scrap Iron Scarecrow is a problem. But the card I drew... Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon... wait... persona is level 5, Fast Wing is level 4 and Synchron is level 3.'
"Hey Chrono."
"Yes young master?"
"You wanna fight alongside me?"
"You bet!"
Oz then smiled.
"Ethereal powers that go beyond time and space. Gather together and call forth my allies from the far reaches of the timeline! Pendulum Summon!" Oz chanted.
"Return! Pendulum Synchron and Fast Wing Magician! And come forth! Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon!" Oz shouts.

Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon: atk: 1200
"Now I tune level 5 Odd-Eyes Persona Dragon and level 4 Fast Wing Magician, to level 3 Pendulum Synchron! Beyond the far reaches of time lies a dormant power. Watch as that power forms into a mighty dragon! I Synchro Summon! Level 12: Galaxy-Eyes Chrono Dragon!" Oz chants.
Chrono Dragon appeared and gave out a challenging roar.

"With Chrono Dragon's arrival, he gains 4 Clock Counters." Oz stated.
Clock Counters: 4
"Due to Chronograph Viewer's Pendulum Effect, I now gain 1200 LP."
Osrelios LP: 6700
"Now I activate Chrono Dragon's effect! Chronostasis! You are now unable to activate cards or their effects, and you can't activate cards or their effects in response to Chrono Dragon." Oz declared.
Chrono Dragon roared out and everything on Crimson Avatar's field froze in time.
"Sorry, but if I am to save the Dimensions, I have to end this duel before you summon out something even more powerful. Crystal Wing Fast Dragon attack Shooting Majestic Star Dragon! Faster than the wind: Crystal Cutter!"
Crystal Wing flew around to gain momentum before charging straight through Shooting Majestic Star Dragon.
Crimson Avatar LP: 1000
"Now Galaxy-Eyes Chrono Dragon, attack Crimson Avatar directly! Chrono Stream of Destruction!"
Chrono Dragon gathered energy from his wings and fired the energy out of his mouth. The attack hit Crimson Avatar head on.
Crimson Avatar LP: 0
Crimson Avatar then morphed back into his true form.
"Congratulations young one." The Crimson Dragon said. "You have passed the trial."
Oz' Stardust Deck flew over to him and he put it away in its box.
The blank Fusion Pendulum card flew into the air along with En Winds. The two cards then began to swirl around each other and eventually crash together.
A single card floated down to Oz. He grabbed it and it was revealed to be a blank Fusion Synchro Pendulum card.
"Three down, one to go." Oz said.
"We're almost there." Ray said, walking up to Oz.
"Good luck on your quest. You will need it for your last trial." The Crimson Dragon stated.
The Crimson Dragon then disappeared.
The 3 Sacred Beasts then appear and Oz and Ray climb onto Uria as they take off towards the next trial.
