Chapter 1: Roadtrip to Hope Hollow
[Female singer - A letter magical flies over Rainbow's cloud-house. The letter lands on Rainbow's dresser, and Rainbow looks through. She soon shows it to the others and agree to join her. Rarity packs up a small suitcase, and even accidentally stuff Opalescence in it. She closed the suitcase and then finally saw her cat's tail sticking out in pain. At Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Clay each pack an apple in their saddlebags. In her cottage, Fluttershy and Sokka were saying goodbye to their animal friends as they grabbed their bags and left. At Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie lands on her suitcase and closed it and hops out from the shop. In their castle, Twilight and Chase finished packing a few items with the alicorn mare packing some books and scrolls into her bag. The royal couple flew off as Nyx followed her parents with Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio as well as Spike with the heavy. They soon joined up and head off as Rainbow puts on her shades while she grabs her bag on a cloud.]

My Little Pony: Rainbow Roadtrip
It was a peaceful day in Ponyville as Lyra and Bon-Bon as some butterflies were near them as they were out for a walk and Derpy flew by.
In the town, ponies were going about their daily lives. Granny Smith at a booth as the CMC rushed by, Big Mac pulling a cart of apples, Minuette and Lemon Hearts hanging out with each other, and even with Starlight and Trixie. That's when suddenly Pinkie rose up.
"Road trip!" Pinkie yelled out singsongy. "Okay, not technically a road trip, because we're taking that."
She then gestures out to a hot air balloon that she and her friends are taking. In an effort to get their first, Pinkie readies to sprint on over to it.
"Uh-huh." Pinkie said as she readied to sprint.
Suddenly a rainbow flash suddenly flew by her as she spun around like a top while she yelped. It was revealed to be Rainbow as she flew over her.
"Beat ya to the balloon!" Rainbow said with a challenged smile.
"Nope!" Pinkie beamed with a smirk. "I'm gonna beat you!"
Then Pinkie zips off as Rainbow zipped off after her. Pinkie happily hums as she hops to the balloon. Rainbow laughed as she flew next to her, and rushed off.
"Whoa!" Pinkie said as she smiled and then she zips off behind her.
The two raced each other like race carts and looped around several trees and Rainbow managed to shake her for a moment as Pinkie looped around a tree for a bit before she chases after Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow quickly flew down the trail to the balloon as then Pinkie ran up next to her.
"I'm gonna beat you!" Pinkie beamed.
"No, I'm gonna-" Rainbow said and then gasped in shock.
"Eep!" Pinkie exclaimed in surprise.
Ahead of them in the balloon, Fluttershy, Sokka, Clay, Applejack, and Rarity were already inside waiting.
"Howdy." Applejack greeted as she tipped her hat.
"What's up, guys?" Clay said with a smirk.
Rainbow and Pinkie were stunned that they suddenly got tangled into each other. They started rolling across the trail towards the balloon and soon came to a stop as Rainbow breathed heavily.
"Okay, I was 4th." Rainbow said flew up and crossed her hooves with an annoyed look.
"Yeah? Well, I was 5th!" Pinkie said as she hopped over to the balloon and giggled while Rainbow Dash was dumbfounded.
"That's not even-!" Rainbow stuttered as Pinkie got to the balloon.
"Aw, yeah!" Pinkie cheered as Rainbow then flew to her.
"But I beat you!" Rainbow said while pointing at Pinkie, who smiled in reply.
"Enough!" Sokka said sternly, making the two girls turn to him. "We don't care who finished last. What's important is heading to the Rainbow Festival soon enough for the others to get here."
"He's right and y'all are both still late!" Applejack said, agreeing with Sokka as she opens the gate. "We gotta shove off soon, or we'll miss the tailwind."
"Don't worry." Fluttershy assured as Pinkie hops in. "We wouldn't have left without you."
"Well, that goes without saying, darling." Rarity said as she gestures to Rainbow. "After all, Rainbow Dash is the guest of honor at the Rainbow Festival."
Then Rainbow flew around and did a pose.
"Ha-ha!" Rainbow laughed with a cock smirk.
"Has anypony seen Twilight, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, and Antonio?" Fluttershy asked, noticing the royal couple missing as well as the four members of the Elite Ninja. "It's not like her to be late for an adventure."
"We're coming! We're coming!" Twilight called out.
"Just give us a minute!" Chase called out as well.
In just a few seconds, Twilight, Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, and Nyx appeared hurrying to the balloon with the alicorn mare panting. Then Spike appeared holding a heavy bag which he was carrying as he flew.
Chase, Jade, Sunray, Trini, Antonio, Nyx, and Twilight finally got to the balloon.
"Sorry." Twilight apologized to the others as she brought out a quill. "My husband and I just had to pack up a few books and papers to grade."
"We tried to warn her not to pack too much, but she wouldn't listen." Chase said while giving Twilight a dry look as his wife smiled sheepishly in reply.
"And by "few", she means "slightly less than I'm able to lift"!" Spike said and drops the bag.
"Wait." Rainbow said as she frowned. "You're bringing work to a festival?"
"Yeah!" Pinkie said, thinking the same. "It's supposed to be a nonstop fun-o-rama party!"
"Yeah!" The others agreed as Twilight graded a few papers.
"Come on, Twilight. Why don't you just put aside the grading and join the fun while you're at it." Sunray said with an encouraging smile he sent to his sister-in-law.
"Grading papers is fun." Twilight said grading a while. "It's relaxing and rewarding and-"
"Too much to talk about right now." Applejack interrupted.
"She's right. We better get moving and head to our destination." Chase said as Trini jumps in to join the others in the basket followed by Jade, Sunray, and Antonio.
Applejack then pulls on the rope getting the balloon ready as Spike carries the heavy bag and drops it in the basket. Chase, Nyx, and Twilight flew in.
"Let 'er loose, Spike!" Applejack said.
"Keep an eye on things for us, and feel free to file those class assignments while we're gone." Twilight said.
"And be sure the students behave at the school too, little buddy. We don't any trouble going on." Chase added with a smile.
"It's my top priority." Spike saluted and he unties the rope as he zips over while waving to the others. "Have fun, everypony!"
The balloon begin to float off, but then it came to a stop and floats.
"Um, why aren't we going anywhere?" Fluttershy wondered as the others turned to her and looked to see what happened.
They all looked down and only got a couple of feet over Spike.
"Hmm. The basket's too heavy." Applejack said.
"Looks like we may have some unneeded stuff to bring with us to the Rainbow Festival." Jade said with a curious look.
"But who's got this thing heavy?" Sokka asked with a confused look.
"Rarity?" Rainbow asked Rarity with a glare as Chase, Clay, Twilight, and Applejack turned to the white unicorn.
"How dare you!" Rarity said, offended and she brought her bag out. "I brought the itsy-est valise!"
Chase and Applejack turned to each other.
"I'm sorry, Twilight." Chase suddenly said.
"Sorry for what, honey?" Twilight asked.
"Sorry to do this, Twilight, but..." Applejack said sympathetically.
"We gotta get rid of this." Clay finished as Applejack grabs her bag and then threw out of the balloon.
"My papers!" Twilight exclaimed.
The bag fell down as Spike readies to catch it, but then the bag hits him and he falls back.
"Are you okay, Spike?" Nyx asked the baby dragon with concern as Spike sat up and gave a thumbs up in assurance.
"They'll keep 'til we get back." Applejack said as Twilight sadly groaned.
"Relax, Mom, it's only a few days." Nyx assured her mother with a smile and soon the balloon lifts into the air.
"Miss us!" Rainbow called out to Spike.
"Bye-bye!" Pinkie waved to him.
"See you 'round, Spike!" Chase shouted as he waved goodbye to the baby dragon.
"Keep an eye on things!" Twilight said.
"See ya!" Spike waved bye to them. "And remember, whatever happens at the Rainbow Festival, I wanna hear all about it when you get back!"
The Mane Thirteen waved bye to him.
"We'll miss you!" Twilight said.
Soon they began the trip to the Rainbow Festival as they floated through the air. They enjoyed the view as they floated over land, and two birds each landed on Fluttershy and Sokka's hoof. Surprisingly Twilight, Chase, and Nyx had four on them. The royal family smiled at Sokka and Fluttershy as the pegasus couple smiled back sheepishly.
Later as they relaxed, a gust of wind blew Applejack and Clay's hats off as Antonio and Pinkie quickly catched them. Clay, Rarity, and Applejack quickly pulled them back before they fell out.
Later towards late afternoon, they flew by a large lake with two large statues of pony guards as Sunray and Jade took a few pictures with their cameras.
(Scene changes)
An hour later, they were still relaxing in the balloon as Chase breathed a content sigh while his mane blew gently in the wind.
"I don't know about you guys, but I've never felt the wind so calm in my life." Chase said as Twilight smiled at her husband.
"At least the pegasi manage to clear the clouds in the sky for us to not worry about rain or thunder." Jade said with a smile while using a cloth to wipe her tanto blade.
"Yeah. Lucky for us, we picked a perfect day to head to the Rainbow Festival. Otherwise, we would've canceled it." Sokka said as he held Fluttershy close to him as his wife smiled in agreement.
"Did somepony mention something about a spa in... where is it we're going again?" Rarity asked while filing her hoof.
"Hope Hollow." Rainbow said. "Or, as I like to call it..." She then flew around them. "Rainbow Dash Fan Central"!"
"Ugh." Applejack said as she annoyingly groaned. "You're gonna be like this the whole trip, ain't ya?"
"You know it!" Rainbow beamed and brought out the letter. "I mean, look at this letter! They love me there!"
Twilight then brought the letter to her and Chase as they read it.
"Dear Rainbow Dash, thank you for agreeing to be our guest at this year's famous Hope Hollow Rainbow Festival. The many fans of your fan club..." Twilight began as Rainbow then rushed to Applejack's side and cleared her throat. Clay and Applejack sighed as they shook their heads. "...are looking forward to your visit." Twilight got back to reading the letter. "You and your friends will be staying at our famous luxury Rainbow Resort and Spa, where your every whim will be catered to."
"Oh, I accept that challenge." Rarity said. "I have so many whims."
"Oh, look." Fluttershy said looking at the letter. "There's a famous butterfly garden, too."
"I'd want to see it for myself." Sokka said while looking at the letter with the others.
"Hmm." Twilight frowned. "Y'know, it's strange that we never heard of this festival before, especially since everything in the town is so well-known."
"Well, considering we've seen every town in Equestria and beyond, we may not know anything about this one." Chase added in agreement with his wife as Rainbow looks at the letter.
"At this year's festival, you can eat treats at the traditional Rainbow Bakery Booth, sing your favorite rainbow-themed songs at the karaoke competition..." Rainbow read as Pinkie appears behind the letter with an excited smile.
"Bakery and karaoke?" Pinkie beamed happily. "It's like they see into my soul!"
"I want to get a good look at the food they'll be baking too." Antonio said with a smile.
"...and try our famous rainbow trout catch-and-release activity"." Applejack reads the letter. "Huh. Now that sounds right up my river."
"Me too." Clay added with a smile, agreeing with his wife.
"Plus, we get to watch the mayor give Rainbow Dash an award!" Pinkie added and brought her party cannon out. "I call dibs on the cheering section!"
She squeals out excitedly as her party cannon fires confetti. Most of her friends were covered in confetti as Rainbow joins Rarity's side as the white unicorn cleans herself off.
"An award for what, exactly?" Rarity asked.
"I 'unno." Rainbow replied back as she shrugged with a cocky smile. "Showing up? General coolness?" And she laughed. "All of the above?"
"Try to keep your ego in check, Dash. We wouldn't want you to brag again." Chase said with a smirk as Rainbow playfully glared at him.
"Well, we're so glad you invited us along." Twilight said while joining Chase as she and her husband smiled at Rainbow.
"Yeah!" Pinkie beamed. "It's gonna be 1 long party, which starts... now!"
Then she hops over to Clay, Applejack, Sokka, and Fluttershy as she brought her hooves around them as the others joined them.
