Allie passed Eliza's room as she headed to the guest room. Allie peaked in while knocking. Glad to see Eliza was still awake she still needed to hear what was in the letter that Eliza received. Eliza looked at Allie with a smirk, "I am assuming you were able to adequately help Oliver remove the sling?" Allie blushed while moving to sit beside Eliza on the bed, "Of course, and then I proceeded to help him remove..." Eliza interrupted her by playfully smacking Allie's arm with her hand, "Alexandra Scarlet!" Allie giggled, "Lizzie, I swear to you I just helped with removing the clothing from his upper half, mind you there were plenty of distractions that made the task take longer." Eliza laughed, "I am assuming, and please tell me if I am wrong as my assumptions are based off of William's observations that Oliver is inexperienced when it comes to relations with women. He shared that this one time they had an investigation at a brothel and Oliver was undercover with Phelps and poor Oliver was unable to blend in. To my knowledge you haven't had any suitors before either?" Allie shook her head, "I wouldn't know about his experience, he doesn't seem to be nervous or second guessing himself, he is very giving with his affections," Allie was blushing, "as for myself, my education was reading the wild books that our friends snuck in school while we were in Wimbledon. Do you remember those?" Allie asked and then followed between laughs, "believe me it is useful information." It was Eliza's turn to turn red as she answered Allie, "Yes I remember those books, I wouldn't know if it was useful or not though." Allie loved that the subject was changed to Eliza's love life now. "Lizzie, tell me what was in that letter! Tell me about your William." Eliza handed her the letter and Allie read it quickly, "Christ Lizzie, why are you here? If I were you I would have been on a boat. Hell, I would have not let that man leave in the first place. How could you let him just walk away?" Eliza looked down and answered, "I wish I was more like you and able to lead with my heart instead of my head. I regret letting him leave every day he has been gone. I couldn't just leave, I have so..." It was Allie's turn to interrupt, "Lizzie I could shake you, you have loved this man for 12 years, and he has loved you the same. You let your head over complicate things, I don't know much about matters of the heart, but I am learning...quickly it seems. I do know that I have been fairly loose with myself towards Oliver and to be honest I was fond of him, but why in that moment on the bench after I choose to experiment with being physically affectionate I will never know, but I do know I will never regret it. Maybe right now all it is physical attraction, but my heart is all in hoping there is more to us than that." Eliza looked down in and attempt to hide her tears, she knew Allie was right. Allie looked over at Eliza and lifted her chin and wiped her tears away, Eliza rested her head on Allie's shoulder, "You know Lizzie, I haven't had a chance to discuss this with you, but I do have quite the inheritance saved up. We could be on a boat tomorrow." Eliza laughed, "My luck is he would be on his way back to London, and I would be on my way to New York, and our ships would pass each other in the middle of the ocean." Allie shook her head, "Lizzie, you deserve love and to be loved, let him love you." Allie kissed Eliza's forehead and said good night before returning to her room.
The house was quiet until mid morning, when there was a knock at the front door. Ivy opened the door finding a messenger who had an urgent message from Scotland Yard for Detective Fitzroy. Ivy took the message and woke Allie giving her the note as Ivy felt it would be more appropriate if she woke Fitzroy. Allie quickly dressed and went to Fitzroy's room, she knocked gently on his door and heard him stir. Allie entered and saw Oliver lying bed just starting to wake up. He looked towards Allie and smiled. Allie walked over to the bed and sat on the side of it, he sat up using the head board as a back rest. Allie reached over and swept his wild auburn hair to the side, her hand lingered as she cradled his face and leaned forward planting a tender kiss at the corner of his smiling mouth. His injured arm rose to cradle her face which didn't go unnoticed. Oliver said sleepily, "Good morning beautiful." Allie smiled, "Good morning to you too handsome, I see your arm is better?" Oliver frowned and said mischievously, "My amazing nurse manages to make me forget about the pain." Allie grinned, "You might think differently after she cleans and redresses it." Oliver moved over to the side and invited Allie to lay next to him by extending his arm. Allie graciously accepted as she missed his closeness. She scooted in and he wrapped his arm around her tightly sucking her into him, her arm resting comfortably on his bare chest, and her head in the crook of his shoulder. He planted a kiss on her forehead, "I could get used to this, we could stay like forever." She teased, "Wouldn't that be amazing? But unfortunately you have an urgent message from Scotland Yard." Oliver groaned, "Of course I have." Allie looked up at him, "Were you expecting to hear from them today? I thought you might get a break considering your injury at least until you are due back Monday." Oliver met her lips with his, with his forehead still leaning on hers he replied, "Not when your father is the commissioner." Allie's eyes grew wide, "We wouldn't want to keep him waiting." Allie swiftly got up while Oliver moved so he was sitting on the edge of the bed. Allie thoroughly cleansed and applied the antibiotic ointment to the wound. As she finished placing the bandage she said, "It looks great, the stitches look good, should hardly leave a scar." Allie walked away to reorganize the supplies. Oliver stood clad in only in his knickers, walking up behind Allie he wrapped his arms around her waist an pulled her backwards into him he leaned his face into her neck and started a trail of soft kisses that started from behind her ear working his way down to her shoulder. Allie moved her head to the side giving him full access. He twirled her so she was facing him, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her in close again. Her hazel eyes looked into his green, she remembered a spot she kissed on his neck last night that he seemed to particularly enjoy. He confirmed her suspicions with the same throaty moan. Allie decided to see how much further she could push before he reigned her back in. She continued to place kisses on his neck occasionally nipping at his ear lobe, he brought her tighter, she felt his excitement increasing through her skirt, still he encouraged her instead of pulling back. Testing the water further, she lowered one of her hands to his side and started to lightly tracing his frame downward and inward reaching the band of his knickers, he placed his hands on each side of her head and kissed her roughly, she had lightly bitten his lower lip and let her fingers lower underneath the band of his knickers. He ended the kiss and dropped his hand down where hers lingered dangerously close to overriding what little judgement he had left. Lacing his fingers with hers, he brought her hand up and held it over his heart. His heart raced with hers, both breathless. He brought her hand that was still laced with his up to his mouth and kissed it lightly. Oliver's eyes met hers, he smiled softly, "I think I just became a morning person." Allie left him to finish getting ready for the day. She was going to get used to him being here, and it was going to be hell once he returned back to Inspector Wellington's home.
Fitzroy joined the ladies in the kitchen to let them know his father requested to come in to see him. Fitzroy asked Allie to help with the sling. Allie put it on him finding it difficult with an audience watching their every move. A carriage arrived shortly after and he was gone.
Allie was sitting at the table with Eliza. Eliza was busy writing a letter back to William. Ivy walked by noticing both her girls glowing. They were in love, she herself was in love and soon to be married. Fitzroy was a welcome change to the house, she wished William was here with Eliza. Ivy just prayed that when they reunited Eliza would hold on to him this time.
