Chapter 3 – Overtone
(Specs' Apartment – Living Room/Kitchen)
The next day passed, Specs arrived back to his apartment and welcomed Blitz to his home. The imp carried his backpack, a few suitcases and a pet carrier containing his kitten Mimmy.
"This is my apartment. Good thing, Berry helped me to clean every junk this morning." Specs told him.
"Oh thanks. I hope it's doesn't smell like the piles of garbage everywhere." Blitz said.
"I spend most of my time, gathering the information on the digital system in my room. I would never do any chores." Spec chuckled.
"Sure, whatever you say." Blitz shrugged.
"The room is on that left hallway." Specs said.
Blitz walked to the left corridor of the apartment. He dropped his suitcase and pet carrier before opening the door.
(Specs' Apartment – Spare Bedroom)
Blitz looked at the room in his surroundings, it is small and has a twin XL-sized bed. It has two pillows and a few blankets on it. There is also a closet as well.
"This room maybe small but the bed is large enough for me to sleep on it." Blitz said.
"Make yourself at home." Specs came into the room. "Are you hungry? I should go ask Sarge and others about buying lunch. Ever eating pizza or something? How about sushi?"
"Pizza's fine." Blitz answered.
"Good. I let them know, okay?" Specs asked, left the room.
Blitz began to unpack his clothes and other belongings out of the suitcases and backpack and put them away. He organized all sorts of stuff on his own, packing them in a closet and the large furniture in the room. Then places a few of his belongings from his friends and family from the circus, some jewelry like bracelets, wristbands and necklaces, stuffed animals, a few mugs, books, including his photo albums. He also sets Mimmy things in some drawers and places in the room: consisting of her toys, pet food, play area, and other essentials for a kitten to feel at him. Lastly, he puts his baby blanket along with his favorite stuffed horse on the bed. He places the photograph of him and his family, parents, brother and sister, and his aunt, uncle, and cousins. Once he's down everything arranged, he puts his suitcases and backpack in the closet.
Blitz heaved a sigh with a smile and sat down on his new bed next to his stuffed horse. He then picked up the picture of his family and sadly sighed, thinking about them. He still misses his deceased family since the incident, and is going to miss his aunt, uncle, and cousins, along with all his friends from the circus.
"Mom. Dad. Malcom, Marina. I really miss you." Blitz laments them, hugging the photograph in sadness.
"Meow." Mimmy jumped onto his bed and crawled towards him, nuzzling her head against the side of imp's body.
"You too, Mimmy." Blitz briefly smiles at her, stroking her head.
(Hexagram Force Headquarters – Brief Meeting Room)
After a while, Specs bought the five boxes of pizza and two packs of cinnamon churros on the way to the Hexagram Force HQ. Drew, Berry, and Porsha were digging in the two Hawaiian pizzas, Blitz, Gears, Crackle, and Specs are eating the two pizzas of Meat Lover, and Morbius, Sarge, Ivy and Razor are sharing the Supreme Pizza and cinnamon churros.
"Could we just introduce ourselves instead of eating the food first?" Razor asked. "Blitz is the important priority."
"Who cares? We just eat anyway." Crackle munched a single piece of pizza.
"We'll finished the lunch right away." Sarge said.
"You should try this, Razor!" Gear said. "Churros are really sweet!"
"Gear. What do I tell you about you got yourself diabetes if you eat too much sweet?" Razor reminded.
"Oh, sorry." Gear said.
"Save some for me!" Berry yelled.
"Me too!" Porsha added.
Soon after a little while, Morbius stood in front of the group along with Blitz.
"State your name to them." Morbius said.
"I'm Blitz Abercombie, raised in the family circus. It is little hard for me to come in terms of the demons." Blitz said.
"No kidding." Crackle said.
"No worries. First thing is to do to let my associates to introduce themselves to you." Sarge said.
Ivy stepped towards a bit to the circus imp. "I am his wife. Call me Ivy. My job is making the chemistry for the evasive weapons including the smokescreen and specialized others."
"Gear, at your service. Me and Razor were doing in the mechanism." Gear said.
"You probably already know me, Specs. I am the brain of demon operation." Specs spoke. "Anything you want to ask, fill with me."
"Name's Crackle, shorty." Crackle replied, putting her arm around Blitz. "I'm a bit of muscular in the team but to assure you, my sis Ivy is good for guts to fight someone."
"At ease, Crackle." Ivy frowned.
"Don't worry. I won't give him a hard hug, okay?" Crackle asked.
"Hi there!" Porsha exclaimed with gleefulness. "My name is Porsha. I used to work here as the receptionist. And you may know about Sarge, he is my dad."
"Your dad?" Blitz asked.
"He adopted me when I was little." Porsha said. "Oh boy, I am so meeting you right now!"
"Now, dear." Ivy sighed. "Do not go over excitement. I don't want you to bother this new guest."
"Sorry." Porsha giggled apologetically. "I'm also like listening to the pop music."
Then the female Hellhound took a sniff on Blitz with a curious look.
"What? Is there something wrong?" Blitz asked.
"Not wrong, it's weird." Porsha replied, leaning over to him. "I have a hint you have a strong smell of the human world. My guess is that you actually lived with the human family."
"That sounds odd. No demons aren't living with humans. Just because they feared of our kind, doesn't make a mess." Gear said.
"You can say that." Drew told him.
"Anyways, we're here to discuss the situation with his relatives and Blitz will be living with you guys from now on." Morbius said. "Plus, Lucifer asked me to take this imp to see him in next week."
"Oh, we're expecting with the King of Edin. I guess he must have found out." Sarge said.
"Yeah. It won't be a problem; he just wants to meet him." Morbius told him. "We all aware he is adopted and grew up with a human family who are in charge of a traveling circus."
"If the enemies found out, they used any means to capture his family and used them to get Blitz." Berry said.
"And you know something there is a connection between the incident and the imp?" Sarge asked.
"That was almost thirty years ago. Tell me about the Cascade Gateway Incident." Morbius said.
"Since I already spoke to Blitz and his family about the tragic incident." Sarge said. "It wasn't a common rumor…"
(Flashback into Abercrombie Express)
"The Cascade Gateway Incident, you say?" Matt mentioned, getting perplexed about a fact.
"The Cascade Gateway Incident that everyone in Edin remembers the day when we've been attacked by the Dark Trolls and Umbras. One of the Superlords, Carmilla Carmine conducts an experiment with one of powerful orbs, Astro Orb and did it on purpose to summon the two alien races, Kraang and Triceratons." Sarge explained.
"The Kraang and Triceratons?" Lilly asked.
"They are aliens trifled into endless war in Dimension X. We do learn about their existences. The Astro Orb could traverse throughout the dimensions and even brought the individuals from another universe." Sarge said.
"Geez. We never knew the aliens were real. I cannot believe they are from another world." Candy uttered.
"And that orb brings them into your home, leading into the disaster." Tim added.
"You're quite right. Lucifer orders the whole forces with the help of angels including Law Enforcement Demons, Heavenly Host, superior demon ranks, Superlords and us to put an end to the war. It is very intense battle we give everything we had." Razor told him.
"And at the end, the L.E.D. apprehended Carmilla and locked her down in the Zakamen Pit, a foul and darkest prison that stood in the middle of the ocean. As for her daughters, they are feeling regretful of their mother's deliberate actions." Zillian said.
"That sounds really awful." Drew said.
"It was." Kayla sighed. "My parents have died in the tragic war."
"We almost were going to get ourselves killed during in the fight." Jack told him.
"And could you tell us how Blitz ended up in that big battle over there?" Andy asked.
"There is a lot going on after that incident, there was still one demon missing in the lands of human and it appears there is no sight of it. No one even sure what kind of demon it was, or any surviving families."
"That or it was kept from the public on purpose. Of course, no one in Pentagram Island does know if this is true or not." Berry asked.
"Would it be that possible?" Blitz asked.
"Like we said, we don't know for sure, sorry." Zill said. "I guess anyone will never tell a thing, there are no reports about a demon in whereabouts somewhere in the human territory for so many years. Not to mention the demon officers couldn't find you anywhere. You and the circus were moving around so much that I must have made it impossible for them to find you."
"That would explain it. We do travel a lot." Matt said.
"And we usually work, have fun, and I suppose since we were with Blitz for so long, we didn't think there were problems." Tim said.
"Yes. Which also raises another problem." Drew told him.
"What do you mean?" Candy wondered.
"Like she said. We don't see any sort of problem with letting Blitz stay here. I mean, Blitz and his family were doing good so far. So, there shouldn't be any problem." Kayla replied with a shrug.
"But Kayla, we better not keep this a secret any longer. We already had to hide this from our boss and the others." Jack said.
"I am aware of situations. If any of the highest demon ranks find out about this. It would bring Blitz into so much trouble." Sarge said.
"We aren't let ourselves forget if any demon-crazed humans might find out about Blitz being an imp demon and might think everyone in the circus might be the demons." Drew.
"Drew. I don't think you're helping them with this situation. Look!" Berry moved her brother's head to see Blitz and his family were starting to go a little pale as they all shivered at the fact that the people in the circus think the Circus Abercombie Family were demons in disguise.
"We're sorry about that. This is important stuff you need to understand." Zill chuckled.
"We didn't want to upset you, but it's true." Berry told them.
Deeply concerned, Blitz uttered. "I… I didn't realize how serious this is."
"Not your fault, Blitz. Like we told you before, we aren't those other demons or kind of laws we live by." Kayla said. "Only except they are becoming the criminals like the humans usually do something illegal."
"I guess I'm just lucky… I guess." Blitz nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.
"Out of curiosity, how did you permission to be here?" Andy asked.
"We can't let the humans knows how we demons are able to blend in ourselves." Razor told them.
"He's right, it is a rule we abide without breaking it. However I made an exception in case, we can use the Asmodean Crystals to give ourselves access to many locations in the human places." Sarge spoke.
"Asmodean Crystals?" Lilly wondered. "Were you the ones used to get here?"
"Yes. It is these crystals that ensure our safety and urgency. Asmodean Crystals are magical gemstones associated with the Embodiment of Lust, Asmodeus, one of the seven demon deities associated with the Deadly Sins." Sarge said.
"Do you say 'lust'?" Tim asked, almost retched in his mouth.
"Yeah. It is sort of sensitive fact, you know…" Zill said, coming closer to the humans and whispering at them discreetly.
Once Zill is done his explanation about the lust, much to Matt, Lilly, Tim, Andy, and Candy's chagrin.
"Oh! That's disgusting!" Matt exclaimed.
"They weren't supposed to do something private!" Lilly retorted.
"It feels unpleasant to know what they can do. That was sexual harassment." Tim complained.
"It's a good thing we can't go out to the strip club at night." Andy blushed.
"Shush!" Candy shoved him in the shoulder.
"Sorry!" Andy uttered.
"That's enough." Sarge sighed. "Let's get the bottom of this now…"
(End of Flashback)
"I can see that." Morbius responded. "Do you still have a chance of finding Blitz's biological family?"
"We're on it now but we save it for our time." Sarge answered.
"So, what am I supposed to do? Can you train me?" Blitz asked.
Sarge chuckled. "I do know everything in fighting. There would be next time I decide."
"Thank you, sir." Blitz remarked.
"Call me Sarge if you like." Sarge replied. "It isn't a big deal."
The phone starts to ring from Morbius' pocket, and he takes it out before answering it.
"Supreme Counsellor, dear!" A female voice called over from his phone.
"Rosie? What can I do for you?" Morbius asked.
"I had something I need for you. Come to my shop. I give you five more minutes." Rosie told him.
"Deal." Morbius affirmed, hanged up the phone.
"Did you say Rosie?" Ivy asked.
"Yep. She needs me for something important." Morbius said. "Why do you ask?"
"She is one of the Superlords, a group of demons that ruled over the territories in the island." Ivy said.
"Of course, I know about the Superlords. I only ran one of them. Heisenberg." Morbius said.
"The man that you are almost being beaten?" Gear asked.
"Not quite. It was officially a draw in the fight." Morbius answered. "And I gotta leave for five minutes."
"That's fine. We can have another meeting. Go back to do your job." Specs said.
"Thanks." Morbius replied, taking his leave from the meeting room.
"What are we gonna do now?" Drew asked.
"Since Blitz is here with us, we can't let the others capture him for their sinister ambitions. Treat him carefully and stay sharp." Sarge said.
"Yes sir!" Hexagram Force said simultaneously.
(Happy Therapy Treatment Center - Office)
Morbius sat down on the chair, spinning it around a couple times.
"If the missing demon was really Blitz, so that means he was adopted by Abercombie Family." Morbius told himself. "I gotta do something."
Tony walked into his office, carrying the stack of interview acceptance forms.
"I printed the hundred copies of the acceptance form for the clients." Tony said.
"Thank you, just put them over there." Morbius responded.
Tony complies as he sets the stack of papers on a large desk. "Since I'm done with it, I gotta go make a call to a new client."
He left the office and Morbius stood from the chair, walking towards the large arch window.
"Maybe Rosie knows what happened in 30 years." Morbius said.
(Pentagram City – Flesh Town)
The town has been described as vaguely resembling an American town in the 1910s, being filled with buildings that possess more vintage architecture. All the style in the town is vintage from its automobiles all the way to the clothing.
The Supreme Counsellor looked around to see the residents who have pale skin, black eyes, sharp teeth and possess many body shapes. They are all dressed in 1910s vintage outfits.
"Cannibals… Or I prefer them, Fleshers." Supreme Counsellor murmured.
He sees the store with a signboard on the top, reads 'The Fabulous Rosie's Emporium'.
(The Fabulous Rosie's Emporium)
The Supreme Counsellor entered the store, seeing all the customers were waiting in line as he heard the giggling.
"Cannibals, are we? I should say it didn't taste so bad! I tell ya what, you bring me a very fine valuable item and I'll straighten him right out. Okay, sweetie?" Rosie spoke, giving the card to a perplexed demon flesher.
Rosie the Cannibalistic Superlord and a leader of the Flesh Town. Rosie is a very tall, slender-built demon with pale gray skin, and a wide mouth full of sharp light pink teeth, black-colored lips and dusty-pink cheeks. Her eyes are pitch-black with no irises or pupils, and her hair is colored in both a grayish-white and grayish pink. Due to her rather lanky stature, she is slightly taller than Alastor.
In terms of attire, Rosie wears a large, pimped-out sun hat that is colored in a pale shade of maroon, with two skulls that is colored in a grayish-pink and red-pink, three dark burgundy flower-like decorations located at the brim, and a large plume which are black and pink-red respectively. In addition, her hat also includes pink frilled-trim around it, along with black lining inside.
She wears a pale-maroon and pale-burgundy dress which includes shoulder-pads, thin pale-maroon swirly-like stripes on the high black collar, black-trimming around the waist and on the long sleeves ruffled-cuffs, and three black stripes and black trim located on the hem. Under her dress, she wore her shoes which are a pair of black kitten-heels.
"Ahem!" The Supreme Counsellor cleared his throat, caught the attention of the crowd.
"Supreme Counsellor!" The Fleshers exclaimed in such a jovial and friendly tone.
"Good to meet you all." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Oh, hi there. I see you had my message." Rosie said, walking out of the counter and passed through the crowd.
"How is your day been doing?" Supreme Counsellor asked.
"Quite frankly. Now, I just need you to grab the seeds of Shimmering Bellflower." Rosie replied. "They are my favorite flowers."
"And they are quite rare. I bet there is someone who has the Shimmering Bellflower seeds." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Do tell." Rosie said politely.
"High Prince Stolas who is liking to tend the garden." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Oh, him, the high and mighty owl prince himself. Can you fetch them from him, right?" Rosie asked.
"Well do. Before I leave, there is something you must know about the Cascade Gateway Incident." Supreme Counsellor whispered to her.
"Who told you this?" Rosie asked, feeling deeply concerned.
"Relax, I know it made you disturbed. Have you ever known there is a missing demon during in the incident?" Supreme Counsellor asked.
"A missing demon? No, I haven't seen any one of them go missing. I'm pretty sure it sounds mysterious." Rosie murmured.
"You're maybe right, it is a mysterious case." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Then why are you acting curious to that incident?" Rosie wondered.
"I believe it is an imp." Supreme Counsellor said.
"The imp? Oh yes. I remember a bit, though the crossfire made me forget. I do know one thing I can't forget. There's another imp, the female one." Rosie said.
"Another imp? Who was it?" Morbius asked.
"I didn't know her name." Rosie said. "Is there any question?"
"No thank you. Thank you for giving me a small detail, Rosie. I'll go get the seeds for you; I promise." Morbius replied, walking out of the store.
(Stolas' Mansion – Outdoor Garden)
Watering the plants and floras, the male owl demon hummed a lullaby. Some of them were carnivorous and consumed meat. As it turns out, Stolas is a prince of Ars Goetia. While watering, he wore a dark blue overall over his pale red shirt, a white jabot around his neck, and a gardening hat.
He is tall and slender, with a white, heart-shaped facial disk and small black beak, resembling that of an owl. He has two pairs of almond-shaped red eyes, one set atop the other, with no visible irises or pupils, albeit white highlights do occasionally appear when he is excited.
Stolas has gray-blue feathers, which gradients to dark gray-blue on his head and long, plume-like tail. He has a lighter gray-blue puff of fur on his chest.
His limbs are long, thin, and black, and his feet are tipped with bird-like claws.
An imp butler approaches Stolas. "Sire, the Supreme Counsellor is waiting at the dining room."
"Oh, delighted." Stolas smiled. "I wonder why he would come here for a visit. Could that be important, perhaps?"
"Indeed." The imp butler nodded.
(Stolas Mansion – Dining Room)
Supreme Counsellor sat on the comfy chair, staring at the astrological Orrey that hangs from the ceiling. The doors behind him swung open, revealing Stolas worn in his regal outfit.
"Hello, my dear friend." Stolas said, stepping towards the table and sitting next to him. "Been quite a while."
"I come here and asked you let me borrow some of the Shimmering Bellflower seeds." Supreme Counsellor replied.
"I'm afraid I'm all out." Stolas sighed.
"What?" Supreme Counsellor confused.
"My apologies, I don't have them anymore. These seeds are only left I already planted them in the garden." Stolas answered calmly. "However, I used to remember I found the Shimmering Bellflower seeds. I believe they are found somewhere in Dwelling Forest, they do quite well, hard to find."
"Well, I'm off." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Hold on now. Leaving so soon? At least we can get to chat." Stolas said.
"Not a chance, maybe next time." Supreme Counsellor grunted.
Another shadowy figure appeared and put the hands on the chair behind his back. Supreme Counsellor looked up and saw another owl who was feminine. It was Silvia Goetia, Stolas' second wife.
She is an elegant avian demon resembling the owl and pheasant with long, light pink hair-like feathers and swept bangs. Silvia wore her royal pale blue floor-length dress with frills, emblazoned by star constellations. Her eyes were red with silver slit pupils. She accessorizes her crescent moon choker and three-pointed tiara with a ruby gem embedded on it.
"Silvia." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Why are you running off to grab some seeds? There is plenty of time for you." Silvia said.
"With all due respect, Silvia. It was an important task for Rosie." Supreme Counsellor replied.
"Rosie? Charm. I can see why the lovely lady sent you to fetch them." Silvia giggled.
The imp butler arrived in the dining room, carrying the tray holding the three cups and the teapot as Supreme Counsellor groaned in frustration.
"Just a little time." Supreme Counsellor muttered.
Few minutes later…
Supreme Counsellor sipped the cup, drinking the tea. "This tea isn't so bad."
"Now tell me. What do you have in mind to say anything?" Stolas asked.
"I just don't want to bore you some details, your highness." Supreme Counsellor answered.
"I do hear." Stolas said, smirking to himself.
"Who told you this? Your daughter?" Supreme Counsellor asked.
"No. My son, Mune. He told me that you are talking to Rosie." Stolas answered.
"About what?" Supreme Counsellor asked.
"About the Cascade Gateway Incident, of course. Why are you taking interested in?" Stolas asked.
"It sorts of connection. It has something to do with the missing demon, appeared to be an imp along with the female." Supreme Counsellor responded.
"Curious. None of us have seen any demons went missing during in the massive war." Silvia replied.
Supreme Counsellor sighed underneath his mask, filling more tea into his cup.
"I can't let anyone know who the demon was survived." Supreme Counsellor sighed, drinking the teacup.
"If you won't say anything, I would go and ask Lucifer." Stolas replied.
"No way! He already knows so he can't tell you who it is." Supreme Counsellor said.
"If you insist, that's fine." Stolas affirmed.
"And plus, I won't get bothered by him when he's around." Supreme Counsellor replied, standing up from the chair and leaving the dining room.
"Wait! We haven't finished our chat." Stolas said.
"Leave him, Stolas. He has his own thing to take care of." Silvia sighed.
(Cavern)
Baron Killius observed the crystal ball to see the Supreme Counsellor of Heaven and Hell went through the portal and headed his way to the Dwelling Forest.
"So, I predicted. He went on his own to the Dwelling Forest. I'm sending the Umbras to take care of him." Baron Killius said, forming his fist.
"Remember, Killius." A strange voice spoke to him. "That man is nothing more than the original. He intrigues me."
"Do you know who he was?" Baron Killius asked.
"A mask behind his face so my eyes weren't deceived." A figure shown in the shadows, a large grin and lens for eyes appeared as he chuckled sinisterly.
(Morbius' Eyecatcher)
The doors opened widely, revealing Morbius in his office and greeted POV before the camera shifts to his room with his Supreme Counsellor's outfit laid on his bed before instantly vanished with a holy light magic.
(Stolas' Eyecatcher)
Stolas sits in his office with several books on every shelf, writing on a paper and glancing at POV as he formed a soft smile before the camera shifts to his bedroom with grimoire placed next to the other books on a shelf.
(Dwelling Forest)
Supreme Counsellor arrives in the Dwelling Forest, walking past the trees and looking for the Shimmering Bellflower seeds.
The Dwelling Forest is the outskirts of Pentagram City, said to be where Lucifer first met Sparda, a former ruler of the Edin Kingdom. It has willow and linden trees with vines, fireflies and thick mist surrounds the forest.
"The Dwelling Forest, a place where Lucifer first met the former ruler of Edin. There must be somewhere to look for them." Supreme Counsellor said. "This is the only place I never been to."
Supreme Counsellor sensed something nearby before ready his stance. "I believe there is someone watches me."
Then suddenly, a virtuous angel appeared behind him. "Hello!"
Adel (Adam's Descendant)
Major of Heavenly Host
It was Adel, descendant of the First Man of Mankind, Adam and his military rank is Major. Adel is a fair-skinned angel with golden-yellow eyes, a small goatee beard under his chin and short light brown hair tied in ponytail. He wore a smooth white and golden suit and distinctive coat that appeared to have a large 'A' symbol emblazoned on the back and hung it over his shoulders like a cape. His visible hands were black in appearance, as well, and had golden tip spikes on the back of his collar.
Supreme Counsellor gave a karate yell which startled Adel as the former shoved him to the ground and restrained him.
"Wait, wait, wait! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you!" Adel said.
"Adel?" Supreme Counsellor asked, pulling himself away from him. "Always sneaked behind my back."
"Come on, buddy. Nobody ever goes alone in this place especially with the mission." Adel said, brushing the dirt off his shoulders.
"Tell me about it. What are you doing here?" Supreme Counsellor questioned.
"I'm here to collect the Shimmering Bellflower seeds." Adel answered.
"Well, I was going to look for the same seeds too." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Looks like we have ourselves in the game." Adel smirked.
"Oh please, not again. We've been over this." Supreme Counsellor mumbled.
Adel scoffed lightly. "Hey, we're friends. Here's the bet, if any one of us finds the remaining seeds somewhere in this forest."
The Umbras emerged from the shadows of every tree, encircled the two.
"Ov vey. These Umbras." Adel said sarcastically. "Couldn't expecting some fun."
"Adel, focus!" Supreme Counsellor replied. "I don't why they are here, but likely they are on us now."
"Sure. I let you get rid of these fiends, and I go and grab the seeds." Adel smirked, ran in the other direction.
"This isn't a game!" Supreme Counsellor shouted before letting out an annoyed groan.
"It's the thanks I get, okay?!" Adel yelled back.
One of the Umbras dashed over to him as the Supreme Counsellor kicked it away. Another Umbra charged towards him. Supreme Counsellor lifted his right leg as it glowed in a bright, shimmering light.
"Holy Light Grand Kick!" Supreme Counsellor swung his glowing leg and struck the Umbra, hitting it in the neck causing it to fade into nothingness.
The Supreme Counsellor jumped to the air and swayed his leg around, striking the six of them simultaneously. Then the two Umbras hurled towards him, pinning him down to the ground. Though he is restraint, his eyes glowed with bright light again.
"Holy Light Flash!" Supreme Counsellor used his holy magic to blind the Umbras, forcing themselves to move away from him.
The Supreme Counsellor rushed over to them, grasping both and smashed them to the ground.
"Holy Light Extinguo!"
The Supreme Counsellor emits the Holy Light energy inside of Umbras' bodies, the cracks appeared on them from the light and quickly spread all over them, instantly exploded into a puff of smoke.
In the deep part of the Dwelling Forest, Adel ventures through the woods and finds where the Shimmering Bellflower seeds are.
"Hard to look for them." Adel muttered as he spotted the floating small seeds of Shimmering Bellflower that were covered by the moss and small plant roots. "Ha! I found them! Too easy."
Before he reached out his hand to them, the roots reacted and sprouted another root to tangle him, restraining the angel soldier.
"Hey! There's a spell! Why didn't anybody warn me?!" Adel said.
Back with the Supreme Counsellor, he jumped onto the tree and into another, avoiding the Umbra's dark energy blasts and continuing to leap higher over the trees.
"Holy Light Javelins!" Supreme Counsellor said, summoning the dozens of javelins of light magic and launching them at the Umbras, extinguishing them at once.
"Woo, boy! That's done." He muttered, hurried into the farthest part of the forest. "Adel, you better not to win!"
The Supreme Counsellor soon arrived and saw Adel restrained by the plant roots, struggling to get out of its grasp.
"Stop moving! It's the Devil Snare spell, if you moved too quickly, the faster the roots will try to constrict you tight." Supreme Counsellor said.
"So, what am I going to do?" Adel asked.
"You gotta relax first! This way, it lets you go. Just stay calm!" Supreme Counsellor said.
"Don't boss me around, screw you!" Adel retorted.
"If you keep doing this, you won't be able to free yourself." Supreme Counsellor replied.
The web balls shot out and landed on the Supreme Counsellor's feet, getting stuck.
"What the?" Supreme Counsellor asked before more of the web balls propelled onto him until he becomes entrapped in the net of web.
From the dark of the shadows, a red and yellow large arachnoid creature slowly crawled towards its prey. It revealed it has eight legs with each two-toed claw, multiple eyes, a thorax, and an abdomen. The hard- armored insect moves its tentacle-like attachments protrude from its mouth.
"Eww! That's one big bug!" Adel groaned.
"It's the arachnid. Wait. That thing is familiar." Morbius wondered.
"Your intrusion made me awake, boy…" The arachnoid creature spoke to their mind.
"Telepathy?" Adel asked.
"I am known as the Hermit, one of the Arcana Force." Hermit spoke, the silhouette card shown in front of them.
The card displays a lit lantern with the spider dangling down from it and tree silhouettes behind it with every spider crawling around the trees.
"You're one of them! I can't believe it!" Adel uttered.
"I thought those dark followers were held in prison, sealing away!" Morbius muttered.
"But I'm the only one that escaped. I found a way myself here, made this forest a home to me." Hermit said, fluttering his insectoid mandibles.
The Supreme Counsellor is trying to break free, however, he is unable to use his strength and the web net emits light green glow, draining his energy.
"You two were mine alone, I will feast to my children." Hermit chuckled, uttering to summon the small spiders crawling from the ground nearby him.
"Great! More spiders!" Adel said.
"Adel! Quickly! This web is sucking all my power!" Supreme Counsellor said as Hermit grabbed him, dragging the hero.
"Here's my inverse embodiment of Hermit. In the deepest, most lonely woods, it sheds no light. The path is therefore impossible to follow. A lost soul cannot move on from darkness to continue his journey. Further, he cannot return to humanity's lives. His life has now become truly isolated, and he feels alone." Hermit clarified.
Adel turned his head down, trying his best to relax as the plant roots started to slowly stop before dissipating.
The Supreme Counsellor is now nearing by Hermit.
"Your flesh will be our satisfying feast!" Hermit cackled at him.
Adel conjured the orb of light, firing at Hermit, making the arachnid creature screech. He quickly goes over to the Supreme Counsellor, ripping the net of web off from him.
"Thanks." Supreme Counsellor said to him as he and Adel fired the light balls at the lesser spiders.
Hermit gave a low growl, raising its front legs and swiping at them, which the two heroes dodged from it.
"Stay back, Supreme Counsellor. I'll handle it." Adel told him.
He flew up to the air and dived below towards Hermit, forming his fist to bring out a punch upon the arachnid beast. Only to rebound the fist from the hard shell, Adel grunted and shook his hand.
"Man, I felt that." Adel said.
"You fool. I can break its hardened shell with my bare hands. I use my Haki in case." Morbius said while showing hesitant and remembering his flashback.
(Flashback: Holy Mystic School – Outside)
A young, seven-years old Morbius grunted in pain while punching the solid wall of iron, only leaving the small dents. Lord Marcel watched him with two of his fellow lords, displayed his nobility and stern. Lord Marcel is a leader of the Christian Lords, unlike the Brotherhood of Sorcery, he, and his associates are accompanying the demon kind and angels.
Lord Marcel has a bald head, leaving his white hairlines and white tied bushy beard. He wore his long white and black robes, bead necklace, white monk shoes and he carries his wooden cane resembling the holy cross.
The young boy fell to his knees, panting a bit and examined his fists were covered in bruises and a bit of blood.
"I'm afraid this boy would get hurt so much." Morbius' servant, feeling concern for the boy's injuries.
"The child has no require of assistance, even he tries to ease pain from spiritually, not physically." Lord Marcel responded.
"And if I insist…" Morbius' servant began to protest him.
"That's alright!" Morbius called out to his servant. "I've been punching the solid walls for months! I can still break through it!"
Morbius clenched his fists again, but miraculously happened, he awakened his first Haki power and coated them with silver, imbued skin.
"And there it is." Lord Marcel calmly stated.
A boy rushed over to the wall, launching his punch towards it and finally smashed the wall with a large dent. And he took another swing with his right arm, barred his mighty fist and pummeling straight through the wall, leaving a hole.
Morbius exhaled a lot before slowly turning around to Lord Marcel who gave an approval smile and walked towards him as the former leaned against the wall, slowly sliding over it to the ground. Lord Marcel took his hands and used his Holy Light magic to heal them, rejuvenating his bruises.
"Now you completed the basic method of Armament Haki. Use it for the advantage when the enemies have the strong defense such as hard shells." Lord Marcel said. "But remember, even you are young, don't oftenly used your Haki, you might unintentionally kill a person. And I don't see any fatality on your hands, understood?"
"I understand. I'll be touched with your advice and keep myself away from the others." Morbius told him.
"Just take it as an extra training coming from me." Lord Marcel grinned.
(Flashback ends)
Supreme Counsellor shook his head before Hermit swung his clawed leg at him and he jumped higher in the air above him.
"Sorry, master, I gotta use it defeating the beast!" Supreme Counsellor thought, gritted his teeth and
He brought himself down using his free-fall, forming his right fist before coated with Armament Haki and smashed against his back shell, causing the arachnid creature screeched in pain.
"You use your Haki?" Adel asked.
"Sorry, not a chance. I never use it, so I did." Supreme Counsellor responded to him.
"I've been training the whole time to unlock the Haki! Not even for a whole year!" Adel complained, crossing his arms. "I didn't see someone like you able to Haki to kick some buckets!"
Hermit roared, dashing towards them with fierce charge.
"Talk later!" Supreme Counsellor spoke, pushed him away as they rolled across the ground to avoid the charging attack.
"There's gotta be to deal with that bug!" Adel said.
"Stay sharp! There must be a weakness." Supreme Counsellor firmed, before recalling what Hermit mentioned about the inverse meaning of the Major Arcana.
"In the deepest, most lonely woods, it sheds no light. The path is therefore impossible to follow."
"In the deepest, most lonely woods, it sheds no light. That's it! I got it!" Supreme Counsellor replied. "Holy Light Flash!"
The rays of light emitted from his eyes behind the mask, shining upon Hermit who shuddered and attempted to shield his eyes from the bright light.
"Whether there is a light in the woods, the person will find the rightful path to look for the exit. Holy Light Shooting Stars!" Supreme Counsellor uttered, firing the several light orbs directly launched at Hermit's head, making him stunned back.
"It works!" Adel said, pointing his two fingers and firing the light projectiles at the enemy's weak spot. "And it is really works with shooting video games!"
Hermit gave one final screech before collapsing to the ground.
"Impossible…! I was the fiercest creature of the Arcana Force! Why is the light still there if it is not been darkened from the lantern?!"
"Because the light has found our way to beat you." Supreme Counsellor said.
Hermit hissed in irritation, getting back up from the ground and set his glare at them.
"I'll get back for you next time till I grow more powerful!"
The demonic arachnid beast soon vanishes into the dark mist along with silhouette of Hermit card before instantly dissipating.
"No! We're so close to apprehend it!" Adel said. "How am I report to the superiors?"
Supreme Counsellor focused on the task as he went to the moss spherical orb. "I better the remove the spell now."
He swished his hand away, making the moss containment fade into the fireflies and retrieved the four seeds of Shimmering Bellflower.
Adel walked right up to him and noticed the four seeds on his hand. "Just four of them? Oh well, I guess you win a bet."
"No. We can share them each other, half by half." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Alright, that's a fair point." Adel sighed, taking the two seeds from him.
"Major Adel! A feminine voice sounded like authorization.
They both turned and sees the female angel, working from the Heavenly Host.
Lute
A Commander of Heavenly Host
Lute is the fierce angel solder, ranking herself as Lieutenant Commander. She is a white-skinned angel with pale yellow eyes with slit-like pupils, and white hair that has been cut into an asymmetrical bob with an undercut on the back. She also appears to have a noticeable gray coloring going from her brows to her eyelids. In her Heavenly Host uniform, consisting of a long-sleeved light gray military suit with three pairs of golden buttons and adorned the Heavenly Host's Medal of Honor on the right side of her chest, black leggings, long dark grey gloves, and heeled thigh-high boots. She has a white Heavenly Host coat draped on her shoulders with golden epaulets.
"Lieutenant Commander Lute! What are you doing here?" Adel asked, looking more perplexed.
"How many times must I tell you not to go on the mission alone? You were supposed to need a backup!" Lute scolded him. "And what is all this?"
"Let me explain…" Adel began nervously.
"Adel went on the special mission on his own to retrieve the Shimmering Bellflower seeds, and he drives the monster away." Morbius explained.
Lute glanced at Morbius with her puzzled look before turning back to Adel. "Is that true?"
"Sort of. I kinda did." Adel chuckled nervously, fiddling his fingers.
"Was he telling an honest truth?" Lute gives a firm look at the Supreme Counsellor.
"Everything's fine. He's doing job quite well." Supreme Counsellor said.
Lute gave a short snort and turned to Adel.
"Return back to HQ with full report."
"Yes, Lute." Adel replied.
A frown spread across Lute's face as she stomped on Adel's foot. "You've got to address me formally as Commander! "
Adel gritted his teeth in agony, straightening up. "Yes, Commander Lute!"
He opens a portal to Skyworld, enters it and disappears with the portal.
"Supreme Counsellor. You better stop giving your credits to him, so the report doesn't include you." Lute said. "We can't go over this."
"I know. There's a fact that there is no original monster. It's the Hermit, from the Arcana Force." Supreme Counsellor responded.
"Hermit? You're telling me you saw one of the Arcana Force that attacked you?" Lute inquired.
"It's somehow broken out of Zakamen Pit." Supreme Counsellor said.
"But no one's escaping from the solitary prison!" Lute protested.
"Exactly to the point. I wonder who or what helped him escape." Supreme Counsellor responded.
Lute sighed. "Well, thanks for the piece of info. I gonna get back to Skyworld. If either of them shown up, let me know."
"Of course." Supreme Counsellor affirmed.
As soon as the female angel Commander of Heavenly Host summoned the portal, she returned to Skyworld with it.
"I must worry later. I need to get back to the emporium." Supreme Counsellor said.
(Rosie's Emporium)
Rosie gives an upset look as she held the two small seeds of Shimmering Bellflower.
"Oh, that's just few of them." Rosie pouted.
"I know it's not enough, Rosie. That's all I have." Supreme Counsellor said.
"Don't worry, sweetie. At least you did a great job for me." Rosie smiled.
"I'm sure the things turned out well." Supreme Counsellor replied.
"I'm very pleased you have done a task. Here's my reward." Rosie uttered, giving him the tea bag.
"Thanks, ma'am." Supreme Counsellor replied.
"It's on the house, dear. Come meet me at my shop when you decide." Rosie said.
(Hexagram Force Headquarters – Sarge's Office)
Morbius went back to HQ, going to Sarge's Office and sees him sitting on the chair in front of his desk.
"Morbius. I thought you planned for another meeting." Sarge said.
"It's not about planning. I'm came here to warn you. I was attacked by one of the Arcana Force, Hermit." Morbius said.
"Hermit?" Sarge asked, increasing his utter concern. "You saw it?"
"Yes. That beast had got out from Zakamen Pit. I tried to stop it, but it got away. It could be a major problem, right?" Morbius asked him.
"I'm aware of this now. Do you think it has something to do with Blitz?" Sarge inquired.
"I don't know. But I listened to Hermit's tarot meaning." Morbius said before interpreting. "'In the deepest, most lonely woods, it sheds no light. The path is therefore impossible to follow. A lost soul cannot move on from darkness to continue his journey. Further, he cannot return to humanity's lives. His life has now become truly isolated, and he feels alone.' Was he talking about Blitz?"
Sarge puts his hand on his chin, feeling curious about this. "Interesting. I may be listening to fortune telling if it feels like something is about to happen in the future. We will make sure nothing happened to Blitz and be extra careful."
"Okay. I'll go back to my home." Morbius said, leaving the office.
Sarge sat there; he opened one of the drawers that was in the middle and took something out of it. He held the old photo of him and another person with red hair and scars over his left eye but remained untouched.
"Shanks... I will do anything to aid Morbius for your wish." Sarge uttered.
Trivia:
1) Rosie' first line is the same as she says to the Cannibal customer at her shop from 'Hello Rosie'.
2) Hermit is based on the same boss monster from the House of the Dead series, unlike his counterpart version, he can speak to individuals telepathically like Aragog the Acromantula from Harry Potter.
3) Both Adel and Lute work in the Skyworld as the Angel Squadrons. Lute is also based on Hina, a Rear Admiral from Marines Headquarters from One Piece. Adel held the rank position as Major while superseded Lute who ranked as the Commander.
