Adrien had finally learned how to cook breakfast in the form of pancakes. He loved making the sweet cakes, but Marinette still needed to be home to supervise. So, it had become a tradition in the Agreste household that Saturday morning was Pancake morning.

Marinette was getting dressed, so Adrien had the kitchen to himself, and he hummed away happily, listening to the pop, crackle and sizzle of the pan. Eggs came next, and the coffee came last so it would nice and hot.

Fresh flowers from the garden graced their table, and Adrien sat down in a sigh. Everything was ready. While he waited, he begin to read the morning paper, something he was to busy for during the week.

"Oh, Adrien. You made breakfast!" Marinette appeared in the kitchen, sitting down to eat. "Good morning, Bugaboo." "You wouldn't believe the week I had!" Marinette launched into her tale, and Adrien quietly listened, while reading the paper. Once Marinette started at times, it was hard for her stop. Adrien knew it must be hard during the week for her to be by herself, but on days like this she seemed to saved weeks of chatter. "That's nice, dear," was his usual reply when she paused to take a breath.

Clank! Adrien set down his paper with surprise. "Adrien! We're you listening?" "You haven't heard a peep out of me, have you?" "Sorry, so anyway-" Adrien chuckled, and stood up, walking around the island where his wife sat. "Sh," he placed a finger to her lips. "Do you hear that?" "Hm?" she asked, listening herself.

Then Adrien went in for his kiss, and Adrien knew this was his favorite of quiet. Marinette giggled as he pulled away. "I was going on and on, wasn't I?" "Maybe a bit, but you have to put up with my puns, so we'll call it even." "Mm, even is a Starbucks. Agreed?" Adrien laughed. "Deal, no let's finish our meal in peace."
