Chapter 3
The girls entered the Daycare Theater as they avoided the roaming endoskeletons as the door closed behind them, locking the endos out. They saw another camera station up ahead and on the big screen, a cartoon was playing called "Freddy & Friends on Tour!" As they put on their masks and begin looking for the symbols, they saw on the screen had changed. Playing on the screen was what looked like security footage and saw the Mega Pizzaplex back before it was ruined and saw Gregory running being chased by Vanny.
"That's Vanny," Rachel growled. "This must have been back before the fire."
"Who's Vanny?" Cassie asked.
"The white rabbit that was chasing Gregory. She was working for a bad person. Turned out she was the security guard with a control chip planted on her to make her do the bad man's bidding. We managed to save her along with the others not too long ago."
"So she used to be a bad guy?" The child asked.
"Essentially, yes."
There was something bothering Rachel though. When she saw her son being chased by Vanny, she didn't remember a security camera being there since she had been to the place before it was ruined meaning that what she was seeing was through the eyes of something or someone apparently spying on Gregory and Vanny, but for what reason and why?
Rachel decided to think about that later as they found the symbols in the correct order, but as they got off the cameras, they saw a gargantuan endoskeleton that was smashed through the theater screen laying there on the stage surprising them.
"That's one big endo," Cassie said.
"And freaky too," Rachel said in agreement.
"So, where do we go from here?"
The young woman looked around and didn't see anywhere else to go except for one place. "I think I know where we have to go," she said.
Cassie looked at where Rachel was looking at and caught on to what she was thinking. "Rachel, you don't mean...?" She trailed off.
"Yes," Rachel said. "Unfortunately we have to go through the endo's mouth."
"Eww! That's so disgusting," the child said.
"I know, but it seems like it's our only way out of here and to keep moving forward."
The two went on the stage and walked towards the large endo and entered its mouth, sliding down its throat only for it to be a dead end and were now trapped. They started to panic before they left the AR world and saw they were just in a vent and begin to crawl through the vents.
"This is so weird, we were just in the Daycare Theater; how did we end up in this vent?" Cassie asked.
"I'm not sure," Rachel said. "The AR World is really strange."
"Well at least we made it out of there. I really hope this vent is strong enough so we don't..."
The vent collapsed as the two girls began to fall. "Faaaall!" Cassie screamed in alarm.
The two fell down until they landed on something, looking to see they were in a hanging gondola car and the ride was taking them back to Monty's Gator Golf. They decided to relax a bit and enjoy the ride to calm themselves, but that came to an end when they saw a problem up ahead.
Cassie looked up ahead to see there were no more tracks for this ride. "There's no more track and its not stopping, Rachel; what do we do!?" She panicked.
Rachel thought fast. "We need to jump off this thing now!" She said.
Seeing the catwalks below them, they jumped off the ride and tumbled on the ground, almost falling off the catwalks, but Rachel manages to pull herself up and then helped Cassie up too. "Cassie, are you alright?" She asked.
"I'm okay, but where are we?" The child asked.
"Well, we're back in Gator Golf or above it to be precise."
"Cassie? Where are you?" Came Gregory's voice from the walkie-talkie. Cassie pulled it out to speak into it.
"Gregory, me and your mom made it to the catwalks. You said we could get to the Raceway from here?" She asked.
"Hold on…The schematics say there's a way to redirect the Gondolas to the maintenance room. Deactivate the Security node. Then use the track controller," he said.
"Gregory, what schematics are you looking at?" Rachel asked, but like before, he did not answer her.
"Gregory, are you still there?" Cassie asked, but the walkie-talkie remained silent. "Of course not," the girl said sarcastically.
"I'm getting a bad feeling about this," the older woman said.
"So, there's another Security node and a tracking controller around here somewhere," the child said.
"Be careful though, this place seems slippery and the last thing we need is to fall off the catwalks," Rachel said as she saw some of the platforms had black gunk on them. She then saw not far from them that Ruin Monty was crawling on the catwalks as well. "And avoid Monty up here as well."
"Wait, wasn't Monty down there, how did he get all the way up here?" Cassie asked.
"Not sure and I'm not sure I want to find out."
They put on their masks and began wandering around the catwalks looking for the child nodes so they can turn off the Security node while using the mounted gator turrets to help them to access different sections of the catwalks, trying not to slip off and fall, entering static doorways that teleported them to new areas, and not have Ruin Monty spot them.
As they deactivated the third child node, they saw another static doorway in a large cyber pipe and decided to walk through it which teleported them on a walkway in a huge empty room. They then saw the glitchy blue rabbit in front of them rapidly heading towards them until something happened and it let out a horrible digital scream before disappearing.
"Wait, what just happened? Where did it go?" Rachel asked.
"Helpi said that he took care of it, he said the area should be safe now, "Cassie replied.
"Yeah, with MY help. I updated Helpi with a signal jammer. That rabbit thing won't bother you anymore," came Gregory's voice over the walkie-talkie.
"Wait, how were you able to upgrade Helpi, Gregory?" The child asked, but all she got was silence. "And once again he's gone. Are you sure he's not like this, Rachel?"
"No, he doesn't normally act like that," the older woman said.
They saw another static doorway and walked through it to finding themselves back on the catwalks again. They soon continued their search and found the last child node and managed to deactivate another Security node. When they did that, the doors to the maintenance room opened up and they head back to the Gondola Station, used their Faz-Wrench to activate the gondola, and got into the gondola car, riding it to the maintenance room. The ride soon came to a stop and they got out and took off their masks as they were finally able to leave the AR world.
"You did great! You're getting closer!" Came the boy's voice again.
"Alright Gregory, I'm your mother and I need you to come clean with me, how do you know we're getting closer and how are you doing any of this?" Rachel asked, using her stern mother voice.
"I'll explain it all when you get here. That thing is here again. I gotta hide. Save me, please," the boy pleaded.
"Thing? What's the thing chasing you!?"
But all that answered her was silence and she started to get worried about her son now.
"He's really avoiding telling us exactly what's going on," Cassie said.
"But why? We are trying to find him and need to know more," Rachel said.
"Well, we're not going to get answers just standing around here."
The older woman sighed. "You're right. Let's keep moving."
They started going up the stairwell and saw one of the doors kicked down with an imprint of a familiar looking foot that had the girls a little nervous. The girls enter the maintenance room that had multiple generators around the room.
"So, what do we do now?" Cassie asked.
"I'm not sure," Rachel said as she thought for a second and saw the large generators in the room. "Maybe turning on these generators will help."
She went up to a generator and used the Faz-Wrench to turn on the first generator. They then looked to their right and saw a ladder with a large red arrow pointing to it and they decided to climb the ladder and were now on the second floor and saw the second generator. Turning on the second generator, they headed down the path and find the last generator and turn it on. When all three generators were turned on, then see Ruin Chica on a conveyor belt being taken somewhere.
"Chica? What's she doing on the conveyer belt?" Cassie asked.
"I'm not sure," the older woman said. "She must have fallen from somewhere."
Cassie looked around. "How do we get out of here?" She asked.
Rachel looked around and saw no other way out of the room except the way they came in. She then saw the conveyer door to her right was opened and saw it could lead them to a different room. "Cassie, follow me, I know how to get out of here," she said.
They climbed onto the conveyer belt and entered through the open conveyer doorway. They followed the path which lead out of the maintenance room and what Rachel could presume was Chica's Bakery or above it to be precise. They entered the AR world to get through some obstacles blocking their path and see a giant hole in the floor. They look down into the hole and saw a strange device there and then the same glitchy blue rabbit appeared, turning it on before looking at the girls as they were forced out of the AR world which hurt a bit.
"OW!" Rachel exclaimed, taking off her mask. "That hurt. Cassie, are you okay?"
"I'm fine, but we got kicked out of the V.A.N.N.I. Network! Helpi, you said you got rid of that rabbit thing. What happened?" Cassie asked.
The older woman waited a moment before deciding to ask. "So did Helpi say anything about what happened?" She asked gently.
"He said that it bypassed his signal jammer and made one of its own called the AR inhibitor. If we want to access the AR world again, we need to deactivate the inhibitor first," the child said.
Rachel felt her phone go off and she saw she had suddenly gotten another mysterious text on her phone from the same person as before.
I gave you a warning and you refused to leave. The others so far couldn't do their job so you forced my hand. This is your last chance, leave here immediately or even more drastic measures will be taken.
"Rachel, what's going on?" Cassie asked.
"Just got another mysterious text and from the way they worded it, it might be that glitchy rabbit communicating with me," she said.
"Why is it doing that?" The child asked in surprise. "And how exactly is it sending you texts? That's so odd."
"Yeah, I don't know how it's doing it or why it's so desperate to get us to leave," Rachel said.
"I don't know either, but I'm not leaving without Gregory," Cassie said.
"I'm not either. If I remember correctly, we should be above Chica's Bakery. Lets see if we can find a way down so we can turn off that inhibitor," the older woman said.
After using the Faz-Wrench to open the door, they headed through the opened doorway and were now on a long conveyor belt. They saw Ruin Chica on another conveyor belt across from them being taken to the edge and dropped her off. They looked to their right and saw the giant Mr. Cupcake on the wall turned on and looked right at them before knocking them off. Luckily, they fell on some trash which broke their fall but it was still disgusting.
"I'm really getting tired of landing in trash," Cassie said.
"Same here," Rachel said. "We're both going to need long showers once we find Gregory and get out of here."
As they continued their way, they saw that Ruin Chica landed in a broken recharging station, getting electrocuted, but that actually recharged her as she climbed out of the broken recharging station and started roaming around. The girls continued on their path only to stop and back up a bit when Ruin Chica walked in front of them, but luckily she didn't see them and went the opposite direction.
"Okay, she didn't see us, and as much as I don't like to say it, we need to find a way where she doesn't see us," Rachel said.
"Maybe we can go around, so we don't bump into her," Cassie said, about to do so before Rachel stopped her by grabbing her shoulder. "What's wrong, Rachel?"
The older woman pointed to the ground as there was blue liquid all over the ground where the destroyed recharging station was. "That's battery acid, hon. Stuff that is highly toxic to humans. No way we're going through that."
"Then, how do we get around Chica then? She went in the same direction that we need to go too," the child said.
"There has to be something around here we can use; just stay close to me and we'll take this one step at a time," Rachel said.
The two girls continued on their way, carefully sneaking around as Ruin Chica wandered around trying to eat stuff but having trouble eating. They peeked around a corner and saw a camera station there and Ruin Chica wasn't far from it either but was too focused on trying to eat the trash.
"I have an idea, wait right here Cassie, I'll be back," Rachel said as she very quietly walked to the camera station without alerting the animatronic and got on it, playing the intercom audio in a different area. Ruin Chica heard it and walked towards the sound. Rachel quickly motioned to Cassie, her voice a whisper. "Cassie, quick. Follow me."
The child followed her as they tried to sneak past Ruin Chica, but the noise didn't fool her for long as she turned around and started making her way back towards where Rachel and Cassie were. The girls quickly run and moved out of Ruin Chica's sight as they entered through the women's restroom and saw it was a dead end and heard her coming their way.
They look for another way out and saw a vent in a wall and quickly climbed through it and were in a hidden room, but there was no way out. They hear Ruin Chica outside as she thought she heard something, and the girls tried to be very quiet. They soon hear her start to walk away thinking it was nothing and exited the restroom much to their relief.
"That was too close," Rachel said before looking at the child. "Cassie stay here until I get back. I'm going to make sure Chica is far enough away from us so we can make a run for it."
"Be careful, Rach," the child said.
"I'll be okay," the older woman said as she crawled through the vent carefully.
Cassie waited for her and then saw a pink arcade machine labeled Chica's Feeding Frenzy and it was still working. "Guess I can play this while I wait for her," she said to herself.
Rachel was back in a few minutes and saw Cassie playing an arcade game. "What are you doing, Cassie?" She asked, curious.
"Well this arcade machine was still working so I decided to play the game until you came back," she said, finishing the final wave and getting a high score. "Yes, I got the high score," the child cheered happily.
"Not to rain on your parade, but we should head out now," the older woman said.
Before they left the room, they heard something fall on the ground. Cassie turned around and saw on the ground in front of the arcade machine was a small metal box. She picked it up and saw it was a piece of machinery. "What's this?" She asked, showing Rachel, who noticed that the item looked familiar.
"It looks like an animatronic's voice box, but what's that doing back here?" Rachel asked.
"I don't know, it wasn't in front of the machine when I started playing the game. You think it could be some kind of prize for getting a high score?"
"I'm not sure, but let's keep moving," she said, heading out. Cassie followed her and decided to hold onto the voice box, thinking it could come in handy later on.
The girls made their way out of the restroom and peeked around the corners to see if Ruin Chica was around but saw no sign of her. They continued on their way and saw a hole in the wall as Cassie made it through but as Rachel was about to exit the hole, Ruin Chica suddenly grabbed her arm, preventing her from escaping as she let out a digital scream until debris from above fell on top of her, making her let go of Rachel as she backed away as the debris blocked her way to get them.
"Rachel, are you alright?" Cassie asked.
"I'm alright, but something felt off about that," Rachel said.
"Like, what do you mean?"
"The noises that Chica was making, it's like she was trying to say something, but I couldn't understand what she was saying; someone or something must've removed her voice box again."
"Again?"
"That's another long story I'll tell you later," Rachel said.
Cassie held up the voice box she had gotten as a prize. "Could this be Chica's voice box?" She asked.
"I don't know," Rachel said. "Let's keep moving."
The two girls look around and saw that they were now in Chica's Bakery but it smelled anything but sweet as rotten food and trash were everywhere and smelled even worse in there somehow.
"It's smells horrible in here," Cassie said, holding her nose.
Rachel agreed, holding her nose too. "I know what you mean, and I smelled foul things before and this might be just as bad if not worse," she said.
The two girls then saw the inhibitor on the conveyor belt and turned it off and were now able to put their masks back on and enter the AR world once again and saw there was another security node in here. After they deactivated it, they left the kitchen and head down the hall and saw a doorway covered with police tape. Curiously, they put on their mask and walk through the tape and head towards the door on their left finding themselves in what looked like a large virtual server room. They walk around the upper east server room seeing the electrical systems for the Lobby, the Daycare, Monty's Gator Golf, and the Cupcake Shoppe were powered on.
"Whoa, this place is crazy," Rachel said, looking at all the systems, knowing Upgrade would have a field day if he got to merge with something like that.
"Hey, how come I can't remove the mask? It's stuck to my head!" Cassie said in a panic, trying to remove the mask.
"Let me help," Rachel said, but she couldn't remove it either. "Maybe Helpi can remove it for you?"
"All he's saying is that it's best if I remained in the V.A.N.N.I Network because that rabbit can't track us down here. Can you take yours off, Rachel?" The child asked.
"I think I'll leave mine on for now, just in case. Is there anything else we should know about that Helpi can tell us?"
"He says because we deactivated the parent nodes all the power on the east side of the Mega Pizzaplex has been restored. If we can deactivate the nodes on the west side and restore power there then we can reach Gregory under Roxy Raceway."
They continued walking as they headed through another door and were in another large virtual area with a pink waterfall. At the back of the room was an AR camera station and used it to quarantine the anomalies which lowered the barrier blocking their path. They entered the next room which was a large server room only to see that the glitchy rabbit was back once again but this time he was giant sized now.
"Rachel, that rabbit thing's back again!" Cassie exclaimed.
"What?! But it shouldn't be here!" Rachel said.
"That's what I thought. Helpi you said this place was safe from that rabbit!" The child said.
Rachel waited a moment. "Well, what is he saying now?" She asked, keeping her tone gentle to show she wasn't mad at Cassie.
"He's being a wise guy right now saying it "SHOULD" be safe and is telling me it's not safe and he's not wrong," the child said.
Suddenly their vision started dimming with static in the AR world and needed to get out of this digital world right then. "Well, whatever we have to find a way out of here now!" Rachel said.
They quickly run around to try and find a way to escape and see another AR camera station. Seeing on the camera there only way out was blocked they quickly found the anomalies that were blocking the door and quarantined them which made the barrier lower. Their vision started to get worse with all the static and made a run for it as the rabbit stared at them and started reaching out towards them as he almost grabbed them but the girls just made it through the door just in time and were able to take their masks off.
"That was way too close," Cassie said.
"Yeah," Rachel said before she got another text on her phone and read it.
You've may have escaped me this time, but your luck is about to run out. You're a dangerous threat now that must be stopped and the next time we meet, you'll both be dead.
Cassie looked nervous. "Okay, I'm getting really nervous now," she said.
"We'll be okay," Rachel said, hugging the child. "I'll protect you." She then glanced at where they had just come from. "If you can hear me right now, you over-sized rabbit, you've made a big mistake in threatening me and this child. Try to harm us again and I'll make you regret it."
Cassie felt better with Rachel's words. "You really are protective," she said, grateful that she was.
"I always protect those I care about," Rachel said. "C'mon Cassie, I have a feeling we're getting real close to where we need to be."
They continued making their way through the area and soon found themselves in the backrooms of the Glamrock Beauty Salon, which meant they were close to saving Gregory. They opened the door leading to the main area of the salon. They then heard crying and quickly hid and saw that sitting in one of the chairs looking at a smashed mirror was Roxy. Just like Monty and Chica she was completely ruined too with most of her suit being damaged to the point where her endoskeleton was almost entirely visible, her eyes and most of her hair was gone, and she was wearing some kind of mask on her face.
"Poor Roxy," Cassie said, feeling bad about her favorite animatronic being in that state.
"Whoever did that to her will pay," Rachel said firmly.
"Who's there?! You can't hide from me," Ruined Roxy said as she got up and started listening around to where she heard something.
The two kept quiet and hid until they heard Gregory's voice from what sounded like it was coming from a radio.
"Cassie! Cassie! Are you there?" Came Gregory's voice.
The ruined animatronic snarled "Gregory..!" She sprinted out of the salon following the voice she heard.
"Gregory! Run!" Cassie cried into the walkie-talkie, afraid that Roxy was after Gregory.
"Cassie! I'm okay. I found a spot to hide. Turn off the nodes in the salon to follow Roxy. Hurry! She's close," he said.
"Gregory, you need to tell us what's going on, hon," Rachel said, but all she got was static. "C'mon, we have to follow Roxy and fast!"
They exited the salon in the same direction Roxy went to and saw her sprinting deeper into the Pizzaplex as the set of doors locked behind her and they needed to work fast. They quickly look around for the nodes as they avoid the glitchy rabbit and turned off more inhibitors that he placed to trap them in the AR world to catch. As they found another one, Rachel saw cardboard cutouts of Roxy but also saw one of Cassie as well.
"Hey, Cassie. Look at this," she said, pointing to the cutouts. "It looks like you."
Cassie looked to see what she was talking about and a memory hit her. "I remember now, this was when I was having my birthday here. Roxy was always my favorite and did my makeup for me while I waited for…..my friends…,"
Hearing the girl trail off, Rachel got concerned. "You okay?" She asked gently.
"I-I don't want to talk about it…," the child said sadly.
"Okay," Rachel said as she saw Ruin Chica coming towards them. "Let's keep moving. We can talk about this later."
They continued looking for nodes and Rachel saw another cardboard cutout of Cassie upset and Gregory there as well. "Wait, was Gregory here too back then?" She asked.
Cassie was quiet a moment before she spoke up. "…The day I had my birthday here, none of my friends came to my birthday party and I sat there waiting for so long but no one d as I was about to leave the Mega Pizzaplex, I ran into Gregory and….he was the only person there that wanted to celebrate my birthday and that's how we became friends."
Rachel felt bad for the child as no child should ever be made to feel that way. "What about your parents?" She asked gently.
"Mom died and Dad is gone too," the child said. "I'm an orphan."
Rachel hugged the child, who accepted the hug, clinging to her. "When we get out of here, Cassie, I promise you, I will adopt you into my family," she said. "I won't let you be an orphan much longer, hon."
"You promise?" The child asked hopefully.
"I promise," Rachel said, smiling. "We're going to find Gregory, fix the animatronics, and get back home and the moment we do, I'll get the papers so that my husband-to-be and I can adopt you."
After their conversation, Cassie felt better and the girls went back to work as they used the camera station to find the anomalies and quarantined them and that allowed them to reach the final node and deactivate it. They saw Ruin Chica walk right past them as she didn't see them as she walked straight into the restroom. They then saw another door that needed to be unlocked with the Faz-Wrench and Rachel got to work on it.
As Rachel was working on the door, Cassie remembered she still has the voicebox that she won and, seeing Rachel was focused on the door, she decided to return Chica's voicebox if it was actually hers.
She entered the restroom and saw Ruin Chica slumped on the floor against the wall. She slowly and cautiously approached her but didn't see any movement. "Am I really doing this?" She asked herself as she tried to pry open Chica's mouth and touched the sticky, moldy cheese on Chica's beak. "Eeeew. Gross," she said, but she managed to plug in Chica's voice box. "There, that should do it."
The animatronic sprang up, online and made Cassie jump back in surpirse before the animatronic powered down again as trash fell out of the hole at her waist. Rachel, who was looking around for Cassie, found her in the restroom with Chica. "Cassie, what's going on?" She asked.
"I gave Chica her voice box back," the child said. "I think you were right. Chica was trying to tell you something earlier."
Rachel nodded. "Alright, let's keep moving."
"What about Chica?"
Rachel looked and sighed after a moment. "She's powered down now, but mostly likely can reactivate and I don't want to be here and take a chance of her attacking us again."
The two left as Rachel had managed to unlock the door that lead back into the salon while Cassie was giving Chica her voice box back. They soon turn off the Security node and head into the next area. It was a place they've never seen before as it looked like wild west saloon with multiple props and cardboard cutouts that gave it that western theme especially when they saw a cardboard cutout of Foxy as a cowboy.
"Wow, I don't remember this area at the Pizzaplex, what is this place?" Cassie asked.
"If I remember correctly, this used to be Captain Foxy's Log Ride where you would sit in a log boat and shoot targets that would appear on the water ride but the company shut down this attraction," Rachel said, seeing the items.
"That sounds like fun, but why was this place shut down?" The child asked.
"I believe it was after the incident where Foxy was decommissioned and Roxy took his spot and Fazbear Entertainment decided to just demolish Captain Foxy's Log Ride and expand Roxy Raceway over it with a much larger race track since Roxy was growing in popularity," the older woman said.
"That stinks," Cassie said, to which Rachel nodded in agreement.
The girls continued looking for the door that would lead them to the next area until Cassie noticed something in the corner hiding in the shadows. Curiously she approached it and saw it was Glamrock Foxy apparently powered down and ruined, but then suddenly came back online, surprising the child.
"Ahoy t-there and w-welcome to Captain Foxy's Cowboy A-Adventure. Use them their hand c-cannons to shoot anything t-that moves, aim to get a high score or I'll give you the old C-Cactus Keel Hall. K-Keep your hands and feet within the ride at all t-times or ye'll b-be walkin' the p-plank!" The ruined animatronic said.
Rachel heard that and headed over to Cassie. "What are you doing, hon?" She asked in concern.
"I was just looking around and saw this Foxy animatronic in the corner and he just suddenly turned on by himself. I've also heard rumors that there was a Glamrock Foxy here before Roxy took his place, is this him?" The child asked.
"I'll be honest, I've only heard rumors about him as well and I've never seen him either, but looking at him this could be the same Foxy that performed with the other Glamrocks before Roxy took his place. Man, time really wasn't kind to him though," Rachel said as she inspected the animatronic, seeing a lot of the parts were old and broken and that Fazbear Entertainment didn't even bother fixing him up as it would have cost a lot of money. "Let's keep going."
"Wait, there's something in his chest," Cassie said as she took a closer look in Ruin Foxy's torso and saw what looked like an animatronic eye stored in his chest like a treasure chest along with some other broken pieces of an animatronic suit, and a pair of black and purple earrings.
Seeing the familiar looking earrings and that the eye was yellow with the eyelid being purple with black mascara, the child knew that these were Roxy's eye and earrings stored away as trophies after Roxy was dismantled and ruined becoming what she was right then.
Wanting to help give Roxy back her eye and earrings, Cassie reached her hand in the large hole in Ruin Foxy's chest and was almost able to grab them. Just as she managed to, she suddenly felt something grab her arm. She looled up to see Ruin Foxy looking down at her with his glowing red eye as he had a hold of her arm and lifted her up.
"A-A-Argh me m-matey, y-ye thought ye c-could steal me t-treasure, lass? One o' the r-rules 'ere in me c-cove be ne'er steal the captains t-treasure an' rule b-breaker be w-walkin' t-the plank!" He said, his voice glitching badly.
"Let her go!" Rachel exclaimed, grabbing an old pipe and running up to help Cassie, but Ruin Foxy used his sharp hook to cut the pipe in half and kicked Rachel, who went flying and she hit a brick wall.
"Rachel!" Cassie exclaimed as she struggled trying to break Ruin Foxy's grip, but he wouldn't let go as he saw him opening his jaws, ready to take a bite out of her head. The child screamed in terror.
Suddenly, an old paint can came flying out and hit Ruin Foxy in the face, making him drop Cassie. The child ran to Rachel to see if she was alright as Ruin Foxy turned his head towards the direction where that old paint can came from and saw standing there was Ruin Chica and in her hand was another old paint can. "Leave them alone!" She squawked out.
Foxy ran towards her, ready to use his hook only for Ruin Chica to use the paint can like a weapon and hit him across the face multiple times then kicking him in the chest sending him flying back. As Ruin Foxy was getting up, he got hit the face with another paint can as Ruin Chica ran up towards him and elbowed him in the face, knocking him on his back onto the ground. She then saw an old log boat on a table and manages to push it off the table with her one arm as the boat fell on top of Ruin Foxy.
Cassie meanwhile was trying to wake Rachel up, but the young woman was not responding. The child saw Chica coming up to them and she backed away a bit, but the ruined animatronic held up her hands in a gesture of not meaning harm.
"It's okay sweetie, it's alright. I know I don't look glamorous at the moment, but I promise you I won't hurt you. I actually wanted to thank you for fixing my voice box," she said sweetly.
"You're welcome," the child said.
A groan from Rachel made them turn to see she was waking up. "Oh, my head hurts," she said.
"You okay?" Cassie asked.
"I'm alright," the young woman said before seeing Ruin Chica. Getting up fast, she stood in front of Cassie protectively. "Stay behind me, Cassie," she said, ready to defend her.
"Rachel, it's alright. It's me, Chica," the animatronic said.
Rachel was suspicious but noticed something. When Chica was chasing them her eyes were glowing red, but now her eyes were back to normal. "Chica, what happened?" She asked. "What's going on?"
"I'm not sure, the last thing I remember was me and Freddy splitting up to find Bonnie and Foxy. I was in Roxy Raceway looking for Foxy and I found him, but it wasn't him. It was just an ordinary animatronic with no personality or emotions, just an empty shell with something controlling my friends body. After he attacked me everything just went black and when I woke up I found myself in the restroom and saw this little one giving me back my voice box as well. It's strange because it felt like it was the virus situation all over again, except it felt different," Chica said.
"Different how?" Rachel asked in concern, worried that there was now a new threat and one that had control of the animatronics again.
"I don't know how to describe it but all I know is that it wasn't a virus."
"So a greater threat than a virus?" Rachel asked. "I don't like the sounds of this."
Cassie saw on the floor was Roxy's eye and earrings and picks them up. "Maybe you can help us," she suggested.
They suddenly heard movement and looked behind them to see Ruin Foxy managing to lift the old log boat off of him and rushing forward, grabbing Ruin Chica throwing her off to the side to get to the girls.
"Run!" Rachel cried out.
They ran towards the exit door running down the maintenance tunnel with Ruin Foxy close behind them. They then saw a security door up ahead open for them to escape only for Ruin Foxy to grab Cassie, but then Ruin Chica ran up and jumped on Ruin Foxy's back, wrapping her only arm around his neck causing him to let Cassie go as Ruin Foxy tries to get Chica off of him.
"Go Cassie, run! I don't know how much longer I can hold Foxy back!" The chicken animatronic said, struggling to keep Ruin Foxy at bay.
Cassie was hesitant, not wanting to leave Chica behind, but ran towards Rachel as the security door closed behind her and all they could hear was the fight happening and someone punching the other side of the door before it all became silent.
Rachel nodded. "We should get moving before that fox animatronic tries to open those doors," she said.
"But what about Chica?" Cassie asked.
Rachel looked pained, which told the younger girl that the young woman hadn't wanted to leave Chica behind. "I'm afraid there's nothing we can do to help her," she said. "Best thing to do is to leave now with the opportunity she gave us."
"Rachel," the child asked. "You don't think Chica died in that fight, do you?"
"I'm not sure, but I hope she didn't," Rachel said. "Let's find Gregory."
The two saw a ladder and begin climbing down the ladder from the maintenance panel until they reach the bottom of the platform and were in some kind of large tunnel that was flooded with water. They then heard something to their left and saw Ruin Monty fall down the pipe and on another platform across from them.
"Monty?" Cassie exclaimed in shock.
Ruin Monty let out a roar at the two girls before diving into the water and starts swimming around.
"What do we do?" The child asked Rachel.
The older woman looked around, seeing the door on the other side, but now Ruin Monty was swimming around and all Rachel can see was the red tufts of hair sticking out of the water like a shark's fin. She then saw floating platforms atop of the water and it gave her an idea that was risky but it was their only way to progress. "I have an idea, but I need you to trust me, Cassie," she said. "Hop on my back."
"Umm, alright," the child said, getting on Rachel's back and clinging to her as if the woman was giving her a piggy back ride.
"Hold on tight."
Rachel jumped on one of the floating platforms, managing to keep her balance, continuing to jump on the next platforms to reach the door and panel. Using the Faz-Wrench, Rachel unlocked the door only to see it led to another submerged tunnel. Seeing there wasn't another way, she continued jumping from platform to platform, still carrying Cassie as Ruin Monty kept swimming in the water patrolling the long tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, Rachel saw another door and panel, but there was no platform for her to stand on that was close to door and it was the only way to go.
"Cassie, I'm going to need your help with this," Rachel said.
"What is it, Rachel?" The child asked.
"I'm going to have to get in the water to unlock the door. I need you to keep a lookout for Monty while I work on this."
"Okay," Cassie said, nodding.
Rachel looked around, seeing Ruin Monty was nowhere near them, and she jumped into the water and used the Faz-Wrench to work on unlocking the door.
Cassie looked around until she heard a huge roar and saw Ruin Monty start swimming his way over towards them fast. "Rachel, Monty's heading our way!" She cried out.
"Hold on, sweetie, I almost got it. And done!"
Rachel managed to get the door open and quickly got out of the water, heading though the door while holding onto Cassie. However, when she managed to unlock the door, she also turned on an LED neon light sign of Glamrock Bonnie that was half submerged in the water and it became electrified as Ruin Monty tried to make a leap at the girls, only for him to be electrocuted in the water and sink to the bottom as the door closed.
Cassie was surprised as she climbed off of Rachel's back. "Rachel, is Monty dead?" She asked.
"Oh, my word! I think I killed him!" The young woman said, panicking as tears filled her eyes.
The child hugged her. "It's not your fault," she said.
Rachel calmed down and hugged the child back. "You're right," she said. "I just want to find Gregory, save the animatronics, and get out of here."
"Me too."
They then heard faint growling from the other side of the door and something clawing at the door which meant Monty somehow survived, much to Rachel's relief.
"Well, at least Monty is still alive. I hope Chica is too," Cassie said.
"I hope so too," Rachel said as they continued moving forward, the older woman wondering if her son was safe and alright.
Well, the girls have some more answers, but even more questions. What will happen next? Stay tuned. :)
