Dr. Hoshi woke up out of his bed as he he the time on his hand watch. He smiled and nodded, adjusting his glasses. "Hmm. Pretty early." He looked at the sleeping Yoshi and Peppy, and then the purple Yoshisaurus in the white lab coat with light blue glasses headed out of the room and quietly in the hallway. Dr. Hoshi continued tiptoeing, until he reached a door next to the stairs and opened it. He closed the door then from the inside, and proceeded right down a group of 'secret stairs', which lead to another door, but was in the style of a garage.
Dr. Hoshi opened it, and closed it from the inside once more. He was then in front of a purple car, which had a Yoshi's head in front (predictability at its finest). Dr. Hoshi smiled and opened the driver's door and sat onto the driver's seat.
"It's show time," Dr. Hoshi grinned, as he prepared the vehicle for what was to come in the upcoming restarting of the race. He then decided to remember something that was on his mind, wondering if it was a dream, or a different reality from the one he was in right now...
"Are you sure this will be fine?" Dr. Hoshi asked Arceus as he, Yoshi, and a couple others looked up at the Pokemon God, with the group all in the Dino Dino Jungle racecourse, standing on the wooden bridge in front of the big blue Brontosaurus.
"Certainly. Nothing's better than having a race without the regular rules, right?" Arceus stated as he summoned Turbo Yoshi karts, with all of them in different colors and redesigned to have single riders only.
"I still feel that this is stupid..." Yoshi muttered as he got in his traditional green Turbo Yoshi kart, taking off first as he pulled out some white and green Yoshi eggs, chucking them both forward and back.
"Hey! You can't just go and ambush us like that!" Dry Bowser stated as he got hit in the face by one of the Yoshi eggs, proceeding to pull out one of his more fragile bones and chucking them at the green dinosaur ahead of him.
Gruntilda scoffed as she started up her black colored car, using her dark magic to make her speed around the slope heading downward. "We didn't even have a proper chance to start! Now we're going to lose to the green dino in his own themed kart!"
Petey Piranha chuckled as he moved his green leaves about, using as many different items as he could by pulling them either out of his red pouch or mouth due to his status as a secret unlockable character, with the group of racers on the ground going by the legs of the stomping brontosaurus. Dr. Hoshi pulled ahead in his purple colored Turbo Yoshi, taking the main yellow wooden boardwalk as he was in the lead, using his smart steering to go smarter despite not being as fast as the others, making the most of utilizing every aspect of racing.
"...huh." Dr. Hoshi finished with a smirk, feeling satisfied that there was somehow a racing segment involved in the chapter as he prepared himself for the race that was about to start up again.
