Back at the grill Bonnie and Caroline were still sitting behind Eliza and Jeremy when Elena's ex and Eliza's friend Matt decided to join them.

"So how's Elena doing," and with that Eliza rolled her eyes again for what seemed like the millionth time that night.

"Their mom and dad died, how do you think? She's putting on a good face but it's only been four months,"

"She say anything about me?,"

"Oh no so not getting in the middle, you pick up the phone and call her,"

"I feel weird calling her she broke up with me,"

"Yeah cause you two decided to have a massive fight that night causing her to call our parents to come get her resulting in their deaths," snapped Eliza from where she sat.

Jeremy's eyes widened in shock at how brutally honest Eliza was being, which in turned caused Bonnie to look away and Matt to look down in shame.

"Give it more time Matt," Bonnie finally said trying to ease the moment.

Though it blew up in her face as Elena arrived accompanied by Stefan.

"Of course he is with her," Eliza muttered under her breath forgetting he could hear her.

"Let's go Jer I'm tired of being here,"

"Okay sis," Jer agreed as he cleaned up their spot and got up to leave.

"Hey can I talk to you for a second," Stefan quickly said asking for just a moment to talk to her.

"What for?,"

"My name is,"

"Stefan Salvatore born a long time ago, to a wonderful lady named Lily, with a obnoxious brother. I know cause I remember. I'll save you the trouble Stefan I'm not a doppelganger I was reborn. Now enjoy Katherine 2.0," and with that Eliza stormed off with her brother in tow and a jaw dropped Stefan in shock behind her with Elena.

After Eliza left Stefan finally pulled himself back into reality and joined Elena, Caroline, and Bonnie at their table.

"So you were born in Mystic Falls?,"

"Mhm and I moved when I was still young,"

"Parent's?,"

"My parent's passed away,"

"I'm sorry," Elena said shocked at the fact he faced what she was facing.

"Any siblings?,"

"None that I talk to, I live with my uncle,"

"So Stefan if you're new you don't know about the party tomorrow?,"

"It's a back to school thing at the falls," Bonnie gladly explained to lighten the mood.

"Are you going?," Stefan turned asking Elena making it obvious that he was interested in her.

"Of course she is," Bonnie giggled as she took the chance to push Elena in what she could see as her chance at happiness.

That night after Elena came home and went to bed and the house was quiet Eliza heard a knock at her window.

Turning from where she sat on her window sill she saw Stefan looking in at her.

Opening the window she took a deep breath at the conversation she knew they were about to have.

"Hi,"

"Hi may I?,"

"Promise to keep your teeth to yourself,"

"Always,"

"Then you may come in," Eliza agreed allowing Stefan to climb in the window to talk.

"Can I start by asking how you remember?,"

"Stefan sit," she gestured for him to take the seat on the window sill as she sat on her bed.

"Look I don't know how or why this happens to me. I have been reborn multiple times but right now I will tell you of 1864. I was originally born a thousand years ago in a small village that originally sat here before Mystic Falls. I was reborn in 1864 to Alexandra and Ramon Mackenzie, and brutally killed by Katherine Pierce who then proceeded to attack my family trying to delete us. I was then reborn into the Gilbert Family after a previous early death,"

"Wow, that's a lot to take in. Katherine killed you? When?,"

"It was before the first town ball, she knew that I could easily take your and Damon's attention from her without any effort,"

"She said you chose not to attend, then your parents said you disappeared,"

"I don't know where she put my body,"

"It's ok, you're back that is the greatest miracle in itself," Stefan replied a bright smile gracing his lips.

"I've missed you Stef, but please if Damon is alive too don't tell him I'm alive, you both made your choice on who you wanted to..love,"

"Lizzie do you still?,"

"I do Stef it's why I don't want him to know yet,"

"I promise, can I hug you?,"

"Yes," and with that Stefan stood up so fast sweeping Eliza into a deep hug pouring all the happiness of having his best friend back into it so she would know.

"Now shoo Stef I need sleep for school tomorrow even if you don't,"

"Ok Lizzie see you tomorrow at school," Stefan agreed as he slipped back out her window and she went to bed.
