The next day Eliza woke tangled in a pile of limbs with Jackie. Smiling she gave her a hug before untangling and getting up. Walking to her closet she opened it to decide what she wanted to wear today. Did she want to go comfy, sexy, or causal.

Grabbing an outfit out of the closet, she walked over and gathered a set of under garments out of her dresser before heading into the bathroom.

After an hour of washing off the night before she styled her hair into a high pony tail, did a winged eyeliner look with a smoky blue eye shadow, and dressed in her chic causal look. She went with a bohemian style brown knee length skit, a white long sleeve off the shoulder shirt, and her pair of brown knee high boots.

Heading back into the bedroom she leaned over tickling Jackie's side.

"Huh what,"

"Rise and shine silly girl time to get ready to go back to school,"

"Ugh great," Jackie groaned as she dragged herself out of bed and into Eliza's bathroom.

Letting Jackie do her thing she headed into the hallway same time as Elena.

"Do I look adult? As in respectfully parental?,"

"Depends where your going?,'

"Jeremy's parent teacher conference with Tanner,"

"Good luck he might mention what I did to him as well," Eliza shrugged as she heard the name Tanner. Thanks to him she went to the school board and tested out of history earning the credit for the year so now it was a free period for her.

"Hair up or down?,"

"Sexy stewardess,"

"Boozy housewife," Eliza finished the look judging.

"Up it is, you two are feisty this morning,"

"Jackie's back all is right in the world again," Eliza laughed as said person came up behind her throwing a arm over her shoulder.

"I feel good which is rare so I decided to go with it. Fly free walk on sunshine and all that stuff,"

"Where is Jeremy?,"

"He left early, something about getting to wood shop early to finish a birdhouse. there is no wood shop is there?,"

"No but don't worry aunt Jenna he most likely went to the hospital to check on Vicki before school,"

"Makes sense was probably too embarrassed to tell me that,"

"Most likely, well we are off we will see y'all later," Eliza kissed her aunt Jenna's cheek as she and Jackie headed out.

"Are you ok after yesterday?," Jackie asked as they headed outside to the Impala.

"Yeah thank you for having my back last night Jackie,"

"Always, so um I need to tell you something, and I know you know about the topic I'm about to tell you cause you are wearing vervain," turning in shock at the fact Jackie knew what Vervain was stopped knowing what she was gonna be told wasn't going to be good.

"When I went to New York I met a girl who turned out to be as cool as we are. She showed me the night life there, but then it got rough. She saved my life, one night we were out and there was this group of people who got into a huge fight in the club and started shooting at each other. I was caught by a stray bullet. She got me out of there and put some type of liquid down my throat. At the time I didn't know it was her blood. I woke up a few hours later feeling different, that's when she explained everything. She was a vampire and she chose to save my life. She showed me how to feed without killing and I spent the year there to gain control,"

"Are you saying you're a vampire now?,"

"I am, I understand if you don't want me around anymore I just thought you had the right to know as my closest friend,"

"Nothing, and I mean nothing will ever make me stop loving you Jackie. I accept you no matter human or vampire. I will try to help you as much as I can during the school day cause I know it will be rough,"

"Oh thank you Liz," Jackie was so happy she hugged her tight.

As they headed to school they caught up on everything that Jackie had missed school wise. When they arrived Eliza walked Jackie to the office and waited while she got her documents. Stefan walked in shortly after them and walked up to Eliza.

"I am so sorry I left you last night,"

"It's ok you needed to get away from the blood, Stef you know I understand better then anyone. You see that girl at the desk, that's my best friend Jackie, she came back last night and took me home. She is also like you,"

"What she's another..,"

"Yeah but she is a good person Stef she would die for me that's how close we are,"

"Good to know you have someone else to watch over you like I would, by the way I have bad news,"

"What?,"

"Damon's back,"

"Does he know?,"

"No, he knows about Elena but not you yet,"

"Good let him discover it himself," Eliza said as Jackie walked up to them.

"Hi nice to meet you I'm Jackie," she said holding out her hand to Stefan.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Stefan, an old friend of LIzzie's,"

"I know who you are, your best friend turned me,"

"Wait Lexi turned you, wow I never thought she would,"

"Well it was this or death and I am grateful for what she did for me,"

"That's great well we better head to class,"

"Have fun Stef I have a free period so I might just go to the library,"

"Be safe,"

"Promise, what about you Jackie?,"

"Tanner,"

"Good luck, don't eat him he probably tastes awful," she laughed as Stefan and Jackie cracked smiles at her joke.

"I will see you later smart ass," Jackie said as she and Stefan headed into class.

After Tanner's class Eliza waited outside as Elena, Stefan, and Jackie exited.

"How did it go?,"

"Good, all good,"

"She did fine," Stefan assured her.

"By the way I brought it," Stefan turned to Elena holding out a book.

"Wuthering heights by Ellis Bell, you know I can't believe she didn't use her own name,"

"All the Bronte sisters used aliases, it was the time when female writers weren't very accepted then,"

"Where did you get it?,"

"It was passed down through the family,"

"Yeah from far in the family isn't that right Stef," Eliza teased him knowing it was a inside joke.

"I have lots of books go ahead keep it,"

"Oh no but I would like to read it again, I promise I will give it back,"

"Only after she reads it more then once,"

"Oh hush you," Elena shushed her as they all laughed.

They all split up to go their next classes.

When Elena and Eliza got outside they bumped into Matt.

"How's your sister doing?,"

"They are keeping her over night to make sure there is no infection but she should be able to come home tomorrow,"

"That's great news Matt," Eliza sincerely said with a look of relief on her face for him.

"Did you get in touch with your mom," at that Eliza scoffed they all knew how their mom was.

"I called and left a message, she's in Virginia beach with her boyfriend so we will see how long it takes her to come rushing home," even Matt didn't have hopes for his mom by how he spoke.

"Well it's just lucky she's ok,"

"I know right, there's some talk of some missing campers,"

"Did she say what kind of animal attacked her?,"

"She said it was a vampire," at that comment Eliza slipped away to go to the picnic table where Jackie and Stefan sat.

"Did you hear?,"

"Yeah I got to go handle this,"

"Wait Stefan, cause of your diet it may not work, take Jackie,"

"Why?,"

"Cause I drink human blood my powers are stronger, not judging your choice by the way just saying for this you need stronger,"

"Good point, thank you. Stay here Eliza we will see you later," Stefan said getting up kissing her cheek before he and Jackie sped off.

Slipping back up to Elena and Matt she acts like she never left.

"What?,"

"Yeah she woke up last night and muttered vampire and passed out,"

"Ok that's weird,"

"I think she was drunk, what's up with you and the new guy?,"

"Matt the last thing I want to do is hurt you,"

"You know I'm actually gonna go back to the hospital, I wanna be there when Vicki wakes up and get the real story of last night,"

"Good idea Matt she doesn't deserve to wake up alone,"

"Ok," Elena agrees as Matt turns and walks away.

"He still cares about you Elena, that's why it's so awkward for him to ask and talk about you moving on with Stefan,"

"I know, see you later sis," Elena turned walking off as well.

At the hospital Stefan and Jackie walked down the hall towards Vicki's room.

"Thank you for doing this,"

"No problem," Jackie smiled as they were determined to go through with their goal.

When they got closer they heard Vicki freaking out and Matt taking off running towards the nurses station at the other end of the hallway.

Speeding in Stefan watched the door as Jackie leaned over Vicki.

"It was a animal that attacked you last night, it came out of the dark and jumped you that's all you remember,"

"That's all I remember," Vicki mono toned repeated back Jackie's words.

"An animal attacked you, you blacked out that's all you remember,"

"That's all I remember," with that Jackie pulled out of the trance just as Stefan turned to warn her they had to leave.

When Matt got back to the room his sister was asleep, but as he looked around he saw the back of two people leaving. As he tried to follow them they seemed to have disappeared out of nowhere.

It was a close call all they could hope is that Damon didn't try anything like that again, thankfully he didn't know about Jackie, so he probably expects Stefan to do the compulsion. Boy was he in for a big surprise.
