Yoshi and Dr. Hoshi were driving through a portion of the Singapore city with them noticing that Peppy Ankylosaurus and Birdo were playing tennis with each other while they were going on a rotating platform around the rainy metropolis. "Hey doc you see what I spot there?"
"Yes, a moving platform with a portion of our close friends." Dr. Hoshi responded while rubbing his chin upon drifting around the towers' bend. "Though it does raise the question... why just them and not the others? And while being in this kind of weather with this activity on a tennis court that moves around?"
"Hey birb look down there." Peppy said with him using his tail club to wave hello at the dinosaurs zipping around in pipe framed karts. "It's ol' Yosh and the doc who came to shine their Hoshi on us!"
"Interesting to say the least." Birdo added with her slamming the green fuzzy tennis ball into the air with a strong whack of her tennis racket. "Maybe now might be the time to tell them your idea pep."
"Idea...?" Yoshi and Dr. Hoshi questioned, they glanced at each other in confusion upon gliding into the air from going over a glider ramp while the rain kept falling on them. "What do they mean by this?"
