The next day Eliza awoke feeling better then yesterday. She sat up and decided that she was going to do a bit of damage control. First thing first was to check in on Jeremy.

Getting up she walked through the bathroom and into Jeremy's room where he was still asleep in bed. Sitting on the bed by his head she startled him awake by running her fingers through his hair.

"Hey,"

"What's wrong?,"

"Nothing, we just haven't had the chance to talk much and I wanted to make sure you were ok,"

"Usual crap with Tyler but nothing different, Vicki still can't make up her mind, and Matt is mad at her for causing all the trouble,"

"Was bound to happen, Matt tolerates a lot but constantly causing fights and issues between two people is gonna push his buttons,"

"Yeah, I've starting going to classes more minus Tanner,"

"I don't blame you, but thank you for making a effort," Eliza was surprised but genuinely happy that he was trying.

"I think we should tell Jenna about everything,"

"Was thinking the same want to help me she should be in her room still,"

"Yeah let's go," Jeremy agreed climbing out of bed as Eliza met him at the door.

Walking across the hall they noticed Elena's door was still closed which was good, Eliza didn't plan on telling her, Stefan would at some point. Slipping into Jenna's room Jeremy locked the door as Eliza woke her up.

"Huh what, what's wrong,"

"Nothing but we need to have a family talk without Elena,"

"Ok, now i'm even more worried,"

"It's a serious conversation, but I need you to keep an open mind,"

"Um ok,"

"To begin all the things mom and dad use to talk about, about monsters and all things that go bump in the night is real,"

"Excuse me," Jenna exclaimed as she sat up more alert.

"Let's start with this I am the reincarnation of a young lady from a thousand years ago named Liza, I was also reborn in 1864 as Elizabeth Mackenzie you saw my name on the registry at the founder parties, now I am Eliza Gilbert. I have only been reborn five time all due to supernatural deaths,"

"So you have been alive for a thousand years?,"

"Mentally and memory wise yes, physically no lol,"

"Wow, and you are telling me this why?,"

"The supernatural has come back to town aunt Jenna, I have protected you all the only way i know how by giving you vervain, that's why you have mom's ring she wore it cause it has vervain in the gem,"

"Miranda knew it was real and didn't think i deserve to know this in case of emergency?,"

"I guess she was afraid of how you would react,"

"Well that makes two of us, three if you include what I know about Elena,"

"What do you mean?,"

"You're adopted Eliza, you are the last true Mackenzie but to protect you your parents changed your name to hide you,"

"Wow, so Eliza Mackenzie,"

"Yes, you're mom was the last heir to the family, she came back to Mystic Falls and found your parents, had you, and left to protect you. She was found dead two weeks later,"

"Damn sis I'm sorry," Jeremy said reaching over patting Eliza on the hand.

"It's shocking but there's more you need to know. Right now there are 3 vampires in Mystic Falls, all 3 have access to this house, but you are in no danger from them. One is Stefan he was changed in 1864, yes I knew him growing up, he is a true gentleman he won't ever hurt Elena. His brother Damon was also changed in 1864 by the same bitch but he is more of a dick then he is any danger. The last is Jackie, she was changed a year ago when she was mortally wounded in New York someone Stefan knows was there and she turned Jackie into a vampire to save her life,"

"Fuck," Jenna was stunned. She didn't expect to have all this dropped in her lap this morning.

"Are you alright?,"

"It's just a lot to take in,"

"You can't tell anyone any of this aunt Jenna, you and Jeremy know to keep you safe, plus dad would have told him eventually,"

"What about Elena?,"

"Stefan will tell her when he is ready, or at least thinks she is ready for some deep news,"

"Ok, any rules I need to know about this new information,"

"Can't tell anyone you know cause if you do the Lockwoods will try to sucker you into the vampire council I'm only telling you so you can protect the family, do not let anyone into the house with verbal permission, and never take mom's ring off,"

"Fair enough rules, ok enough deep talk get out let me get dressed and I will meet you downstairs ok,"

"Ok aunt Jenna," Eliza and Jeremy agreed surprising Jenna by kissing both of her cheeks.

When they got in the hallway they split up to get ready for the day.

Eliza entered her bedroom and went to her closet biting her lip as she looked for an outfit that said 'wear me today'. It took her a few minutes but she decided on a white knee length skirt, a blood red sleeveless top, and maroon knee high boots.

Heading downstairs she found Jenna sitting on the couch watching tv as Jeremy waited by the door for her. Today was the day of the big football game which meant classes were canceled and today was all about the game.

Heading to the school in the impala Eliza and Jeremy agreed to be cautious tonight cause it was pretty much another party, no over drinking, and try to keep our senses.

When they got there Jeremy took off to find his friends as Eliza found Elena talking to a few of the girls.

"Hey sis,"

"Hey you ok,"

"I'm good, hey Stefan,"

"Look at you, you look hot in your jersey,"

"It suits you Stef,"

"What happened to you no more cheer leading?,"

"I quit, i'm a quitter,"

"No hey you're not a quitter, you suffered a great loss you're not the same person you use to be, neither of you are," Stef included Eliza and he was right.

"You should be looking ahead, you should be starting over ok,"

"I hope you don't think this is too weird but I wanted you to have this," Stefan said opening a small box showing Elena a necklace.

As Elena removed it from the box Eliza gasped in shocked cause it was her sister Rebekah's necklace.

"Oh my god it's beautiful,"

"It's something that I've had forever, and I never wanted to give it to anyone until now. I'd very much like it if you would wear it for me for good luck,"

"Is that rose that I smell," as soon as she said that Eliza realized Stefan was giving her vervain not knowing that the necklace she was already wearing contained it.

"No it's a herb, it's nice huh,"

"I love it," Elena gushed truly happy with it.

Turning around she held it up silently asking for him to put it on her.

"And I wanted to thank you for pushing me to try out for the team, it feels really good,"

"We're a pair I quit you start,"

"We're a work in progress, we'll figure it out," with that said Elena leaned up to kiss him as Eliza looked away.

After their kiss Stefan gave Eliza a short hug and took off to get ready for the game.

"And you're not in uniform why?," as Caroline demanded to know Eliza rolled her eyes and took off to avoid the conversation.
