The day sped by fast and soon it was time for the kickoff for the game. Jeremy was in the parking lot with four of his friends sharing a bottle of booze in the back of a truck bed, but was keeping in mine Eliza's rules for tonight.

The students were going crazy in anticipation as Tanner began his speech.

"Wait, wait, wait let's be honest here in the past we use to let other teams come into our town and roll right over us. But that is about to change. We've got some great new talent starting tonight on our offense, and I'm going to tell you right now it has been a long time since I have seen a kid like this with hands like these," Tanner boasted as he pointed to Stefan.

Eliza and Elena stood in front of the rest of their classmates cheering for Stefan.

"This blows they can't start the guy he just got here,"

"Waiting for us to put a check in the win column I have only one thing to say to you we're Timberwolves we're hungry," as Tanner finished his speech everyone busted out in cheers.

Eliza slipped away heading out of the crows needing a her moment, she noticed Tyler did the same and met up with Vicki making her shake her head.

Jeremy was in front of her so she headed over to where he sat with his friends drinking. Leaning down she kissed his cheek as he smiled up at her. Their bond was close, closer then his with Elena's and that was for good reason.

Jeremy stood suddenly making Eliza turn seeing Tyler storm over as Vicki tried to stop him.

"Don't look so down you can have her when I'm done," with that smart ass comment Jeremy was pissed and punched Tyler in the face.

"Tyler stop it," Eliza screamed knowing Stefan would hear her and come help.

Tyler kept throwing punches making Eliza fear for her brother as Jeremy dropped the Jack Daniels bottle it smashing at their feet.

Tyler managed to flip Jeremy and laid into him as they started getting the attention of the crowd.

"Stop you're hurting him," Eliza pleaded as she tried grabbing Tyler's arm only for him to swing back shoving her hard off of him landing backwards on her wrist hurting it.

Jeremy flipped them after he saw his sister get hurt and got a few punches in before Tyler got the upper hand again.

It was then Stefan got there grabbing Tyler's wrist tightly causing him to stand up angrily turning and punching Stefan in the stomach.

Eliza was focused on her broken wrist not noticing Jeremy doing the most stupid thing ever by grabbing the broken piece of bottle. As Stefan shoved Tyler out of the way Jeremy swung accidentally cutting Stefan's hand.

When he realized what he had done his eyes widened and he dropped the bottle piece. 'I'm sorry' Jeremy mouthed to Stefan who just nodded to him in understanding.

"What the hell Jeremy?," Elena demanded rushing over to him not even noticing that Eliza was the one who was slowly standing up cradling a broken wrist. But Stefan did and he walked to her gently taking her wrist in hand confirming it was broken.

"I'll heal you soon ok Lizzie,"

"Ok Stef thank you,"

"Put your head up you're bleeding,"

"I'm fine,"

"Yeah you smell fine,"

"Just stop ok," Jeremy said pushing her away and walking over to Eliza wrapping his arms around her.

"Oh my god your hand,"

"No no it's fine,"

"How deep is it, how bad is it let me see," she demanded.

When Stefan opened his hand all there was was a thin red line across the palm of his hand.

"But I saw it,"

"He missed it's not my blood see i'm fine," Stefan said after he wiped his hand on his jeans and holding his hand up to show her again.

"No no no I saw it the glass cut your hand it was,"

"I'm ok," Stefan said again to try to placate her.

"It's almost kick off time so i'll uh i'll see you after the game," Stefan said walking around Elena taking off to the direction Jeremy took Eliza.

He found them a few minutes later near the parking lot, thankfully no one was around.

"Hey how you both doing?,"

"I'm good sorry again man I let my anger get the best of me,"

"It's ok mind if I have a moment with Eliza,"

"It's ok Stefan he knows, he know everything please just heal me,"

"Heal you?,"

"His blood had healing abilities for humans in case of serious injuries,"

"Oh that's pretty cool to be able to help people,"

"Thanks," Stefan smiled at the compliment and lifted his wrist biting into it and holding it out for Eliza.

She stepped over and turned with her back to Stefan's chest as she took his wrist and began drinking from it.

Jeremy was in awe at seeing it as her wrist cracked back into place. Eliza pulled away a minute later and licked her lips.

"Thank you Stef,"

"You're welcome Lizzie, I should head back it's almost kick off,"

"Thanks man for taking care of her," Jeremy said holding out his hand in thanks.

"Any time Jeremy," Stefan said shaking his hand.

Elena headed to her car after talking to Bonnie about her bad feeling the other day. Closing the trunk she turned gasping as she came face to face with Damon.

"You scared me what are you doing here?,"

"I'm hiding from Caroline,"

"Why is that?,"

"She talks more then I can listen,"

"That could be a sign,"

"Well she's awfully young,"

"Not much younger then you are,"

"I don't see it going anywhere in the big picture, and she drives me crazy,"

"Caroline does have some really annoying traits but we've been friends since the first grade and that means something to me," Elena lectured Damon as Eliza arrived.

She kept her distance to see how this would pan out. She needed to know if her sister would be in her way of getting Damon back in her life again.

"Dully noted I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable, that's not my intention,"

"Yes it is otherwise you wouldn't put a alternate meaning behind everything you say,"

"You're right I do have other intentions but so do you,"

"Really?,"

"Mhm, I see it you want me,"

"Excuse me?,"

"I get to you, you find yourself drawn to me. You think about me even when you don't even want to think about me. I bet you even dream about me, and right now you want to kiss me," Damon tried to compel Elena not realizing she was wearing vervain.

As Damon leaned forward to kiss her she swung slapping him across the face hard.

"What the hell? I don't know what game you're trying to play with Stefan here but I don't want to be part of it, and I don't know what happened in the past but let's get one thing straight I am not Katherine," Elena stormed off after her speech pissed off.

Eliza smiled at how Elena reacted but was disappointed in Damon. Was Katherine and her look alike truly that important to him that he was willing to ignore her again just like in 1864.

Stefan stood in the parking lot after his talk with Matt when he heard clapping behind him.

"Ain't that nice, Stefan joined a team, makes a friend. It's all so rah rah go team yeah,"

"Not tonight I'm done with you," as Stefan turned Damon flashed in front of him.

"Nice trick with Elena, let me guess vervain in the necklace I admit I was a bit surprised. It's been awhile since anyone could resist my compulsion where'd you get it?,"

"Does it matter?"

"I guess I could just seduce her the old fashion way, or I could just eat her,"

"You won't do either cause you would fear risking the fact that Eliza would hate you even more when you try to get back in her good graces. Especially if you hook up with another 'Katherine'. You're not going to hurt her Damon,"

"Really,"

"Because deep down inside there's a part of you that feels how Eliza would react. I was worried you had no humanity left inside of you, and you may have actually become the monster that you pretend to be,"

"Who's pretending,"

"Then kill me,"

"Well I'm tempted,"

"No you're not, you've had lifetimes to do it, and yet here I am I'm still alive. And there you are, you're still haunting me after one hundred and forty five years. Katherine is dead, and you hate me because you loved her, and you tortured me because you still do, and that my brother that is your humanity,"

"Salvatore what the hell we got a game to play," Tanner yelled as he came out looking for Stefan.

"If that's my humanity then what's this," Damon pointed out as he ran to Tanner jumping onto him and ripping into his throat.

"No!," Stefan yelled as Damon killed Tanner.

"Anyone, any time, any place," Damon growled out as he took off leaving Stefan with the body.

About a half hour later Matt took off outside after a fight with Tyler to take a breather. Looking around outside Matt noticed something by the cars. Walking forward that's when he realized it was Tanner.

He ran inside yelling for help. Five minutes later the parking lot was filled with police, animal control, and the coroner.

Eliza saw Bonnie having a hard time so she stepped up to her as she saw her looking at the numbers around the crime scene being the same ones she had seen all day. Wrapping an arm around her Bonnie leaned into her as Jackie came up behind them to watch over them.

Eliza gave Jackie a 'we gotta go' look and so she gently ushered both girls out of the area. Getting to the impala Eliza helped Bonnie into the back seat as she and Jackie got in the front.

Eliza drove towards Sheila Bennett's house knowing that Bonnie needed her.

When they arrived she got out and helped Bonnie out of the car. Heading up the stairs Eliza knocked on the front door. As it opened to reveal Sheila she could tell by the looks on the girls faces that something was going on. So she gave Bonnie to Sheila and took off.

When she got back in the car Jackie patted her knee as she started the car and began driving. Dropping Jackie off first Eliza drove home. When she got there everyone was in their rooms.

When she got in her bedroom she changed into her pajamas putting them in her laundry hamper, wiped her makeup off, and put her boots back in the closet.

Sliding into bed she yawned the events of today finally catching up to her. Curling up she drifted off into a peaceful sleep unaware of the crow checking on her from the window.
