"What did we miss?," Damon asked as he escorted Elena back to Stefan.

"We were just chatting, drink Damon?,"

"No thanks I'll pass,"

"Stefan do you have another dance in you?,"

"Absolutely," he said as he took Elena's hand and went back to the dance floor.

Eliza had joined Jackie at a table off to the side and took a deep breath before telling her what she learned.

"They were in the church Jackie,"

"What who were?,"

"My parent's, Alexandra and Roman, they were in the church they burned down in 1864,"

"Oh Liz i'm so sorry I wouldn't want that kind of end for anyone,"

"I hope they didn't feel pain, I don't even know why they were in there they always made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with either side of the war,"

"We will figure this out ok Liz, we will find out why they were murdered,"

"Thank you Jackie," she took a deep breath before grabbing from a tray passing by and chugging back the champagne.

"They look so cute together," Caroline observed as Damon was looking at Eliza and knowing she was upset knowing her previous parents were killed.

"Don't talk please," Damon asked nicely turning to look at Stefan and Elena as well.

Jenna made her way to the bar only to hear a another voice from her right.

"Don't shoot only need a refill,"

"Shooting implies caring,"

"Feigned indifference I like it,"

"I'm over the banter Logan I'd really rather if you left me alone,"

"I'm sorry Jenna, about your sister,"

"Thank you,"

"Came to the funeral,"

"i know I saw you,"

"I didn't want to push my way in but I wanted to be there for you, and when I heard you were staying in Mystic Falls I thought maybe, well maybe I could get a second chance to make things right,"

"Her name was Monica wasn't it," Jenna pointed out his screw up and walked away again.

Eliza sat with her chin in her hand as she watched Stefan and Elena dance together. She made the decision to have Jackie take a closer photo for her, and she sent it to the man she had been texting making sure he could keep up to date on what was going on with her. Jackie had taken a full body shot earlier and she had sent that too and was told she looked beautiful.

"I hope Damon didn't drive you too crazy,"

"No actually he was on good behavior even apologized, and explained why he is the way he is, that it all goes back to Katherine. So tell me about her what happened?,"

"Nothing I really like to talk about,"

"I get that I do, I just want you to know that you can. I mean I burden you with all of my drama, and I want you to do the same,"

"Thank you,"

"The truth is Stefan I don't really know that much about you and I would really love it if you would open up to me,"

"Damon said something didn't he, he likes to play games and cause trouble Elena,"

"This isn't about Damon, it's about me trying to get to know you. Look you're the mystery guy and I like that but with mystery comes secrets, and this thing with Katherine,"

"Let it go I don't want to talk about it,"

"Well then say something about yourself, anything. Otherwise I'm left with nothing but what other people tell me,"

"Don't you see what Damon has done here? He's trying to get you to turn against me,"

"Well then I guess it's working," with that said Elena stormed off the dance floor away from Stefan, past Eliza who was in no mood to deal with her tonight since her plans to be seen more blew up since it was all about Elena again.

Upstairs Elena and Bonnie sat on a settee eating ice cream.

"This is my fault I planted doubt, I'm a doubt planter,"

"It's not your fault, I just I feel terrible because I said I wouldn't get in the middle of it then that's exactly what I did. I got all snotty,"

"Elena hunnie, I noticed the watch wasn't in the collection,"

"Oh um I'm sorry Mrs Lockwood I um I couldn't find it I guess it's still packed up in my parent's stuff somewhere,"

"I see well please let me know if you do find it," Carol Lockwood said before standing up from where she sat and leaving the girls alone.

Upstairs Damon thought he was slipping away discretely when Caroline spoke up behind him.

"Where have you been?,"

"Looking for you," Damon said grabbing her hand leading her towards a empty room.

"Your brother barely danced with me for five minutes,"

"Ok just stand here right here," Damon positioned Caroline in front of the door.

Walking over he picked up a wooden box and moved it to a clear table to open it.

Lifting the lid of the box he popped the side off a secret panel inside and reached inside it removing a amber crystal.

"You're not suppose to touch, what is that?,"

"A very important crystal,"

"How did you know it was there?,"

"Cause I put it there,"

"When?,"

"A long time ago, tonight I'm taking it back thanks to you,"

"Well what's it for,"

"Never you mind,"

"Well you can't just steal it,"

"It's not stealing it's mine," Damon said ushering Caroline back down to the party.

Near the bar Jenna was letting loose for one night since she learned about all the supernatural surrounding her family.

"Vodka tonic," Jenna's head turned when she heard Logan again.

Their eyes met and she knew it would be stupid but she deserved one night of stupid every once in awhile.

"Look I know it's probably going to be strike three I hope you can see it for what it is,"

"And what is it?,"

"Persistence, groveling, commitment take your pick,"

"I fled town because of you, fled,"

"I was young and stupid, and then things changed life got real, you know that better then anyone,"

"Hypothetically speaking if allowed how would you make things right?,"

"Well more groveling of course, recap of the past few years soul searching, cheese fries,"

"Yes to lunch call me," Jenna agreed as she walked away.

Jackie had to help Eliza up and out of the Lockwood's house to sit outside to get some air. She had spent the night getting drunk just to unwind and try to loosen the stress she carried on her shoulders.

Jackie was worried about her she had never seen Eliza drink this much, and when she was sober would demand she share the load with her to make things easier. She knew Jeremy and now Jenna knew most things but Eliza still carried more.

Upstairs Elena entered the bathroom to freshen up and found Caroline.

"Hey,"

"Hey," Caroline greeted back as she fixed her earring.

"So how are things with Stefan,"

"Great, just great,"

"Really well my radar must be off cause I was getting all other sorts of vibes,"

"What is that?," Elena questioned looking at Caroline's neck.

Reaching the scarf Caroline tried batting her hands away but she managed to lift it.

"Don't,"

"Oh my god Caroline what happened?,"

"Nothing ok,"

"That's is not nothing, did somebody hurt you?,"

"No ok it's nothing it just my mom would kill me," as Caroline said that Elena pulled down Caroline's cardigan noticing the mark on her back.

"Did Damon hurt you?,"

"No of course not, just leave me alone ok," Caroline snapped out shoving Elena's hands away and storming out of the bathroom.

Elena looked everywhere for Damon, and made her way outside finally seeing him.

Storming towards him she lifts her arms and gives him a hard shove.

"There is something seriously wrong with you, you stay away from Caroline or I will go straight to her mother the sheriff got it? Stay away from her," Elena said storming off again.

Eliza sat watching the fountain, Jackie had cut her off from any more drinking so she was slowly sobering up from the fresh air. She saw Elena freaking out talking to Stefan, she couldn't stop the drama for one night.

She tried so hard to be seen tonight but nothing she did was ever good enough. Slowly standing up she slipped off her heels, and started walking around to the front of the house to leave.

Up ahead she saw Damon and Caroline, with Damon yelling at her. She was done with the drama for the night so she ignored it and kept walking.

It was only when Damon started choking did she turn to face them.

"Damon!," Eliza ran over and placed her hand on his cheek trying to get him to focus on her.

"Can't breath,"

"Shit," she yelled as he fell.

Kneeling down beside him she placed his head on her lap stroking his hair back trying to get him to focus and breath slowly.

"I knew I couldn't spike your drink so I spiked her's ," came Stefan's voice from behind her.

"What did you do Stefan?," Eliza was furious at the fact he poisoned his brother.

Damon grasped Eliza's hand he knew she had nothing to do with what was happening her reaction was too sincere to be faked.

Finally he passed out his hand going limp but Eliza didn't let go. Stefan forced her to let go and picked up Damon speeding off with him leaving her sitting there worried about him.

Caroline came to slowly sitting up and looking around seeing Eliza sitting next to her.

"Eliza what happened?,"

"It will all be ok," Eliza said noticing a amber crystal in the grass.

Picking it up she held onto it knowing that it had to be tied to Damon and would hang onto it for him.

Caroline reached for her purse holding it close like a life line as they both sat there in shock.

Jackie came running up to Eliza and knelt down hugging her. She had heard it all but had to act human cause she had been behind the house when it all started.

Picking her up bridal style Jackie made her way to the Impala. Placing Eliza in the passenger seat she went around and got in the driver's seat taking her home.

When they got to the Gilbert house Jackie picked Eliza who had become comatose out of the car and up the stairs, stopping briefly to unlock and open the door.

Going upstairs she sat her on her bed reaching behind her Jackie undid the zipper of her dress to help her change.

After getting the dress off her she hung it back on the hanger in her closet and grabbed her pajamas. After getting them on her she went into the bathroom and grabbed the makeup wipes.

Going back in the room she grabbed the small trash can Eliza kept near her desk. Sitting beside her she took a wipe and lifting Eliza's chin gently she began removing her makeup.

She had to figure out what happened and why Eliza was in this state. She was worried about her.

When she had Eliza finished she removed her own makeup, grabbed the spare pajamas she kept there and got changed. Then she maneuvered Eliza into bed and slid in beside her hugging her to let her know she wasn't alone.

At the Salvatore house Stefan threw Damon into the cellar where Zach kept the vervain plants knowing it would keep him down.

I did what I had to do to protect Elena and Eliza, to protect everyone. Yes Damon the headline reads deadly beast captured all is well in Mystic Falls.

At the Lockwood's mansion after everyone left Mayor Lockwood entered a room that was currently filled with council members.

"Thank you for staying late,"

"Did you get the Gilbert watch?,"

"She claims it's packed away in her parent's things,"

"I can get it," Logan replied sitting down opposite Carol Lockwood.

"Good we're going to need it,"

"Are you sure?,"

"Five bodies all drained of blood i'm certain,"

"They've come back," Logan confirmed everyone's thoughts.

Now the town would be on high alert despite Damon being locked away, and the only girl who could change things in a state of shock. Jackie would need to get a hold of her friend's original he might be her only hope.
