Elena entered the grill ready to hear Stefan out about the last few days but she didn't see him anywhere.

"Hey Matt um have you seen Stefan?," she asked as she approached him playing pool.

"Nope, but if you want to kill some time you can rack. Come on we haven't played in forever, I'll let you break," smirking Elena agreed to play while she waited,

Stefan on the other hand was still at home trying to figure out the situation between Damon and Eliza.

Damon was coughing and moaning in his cell when Zach chose to go down there to torment him.

"I'm full of vervain, I've been putting it in my coffee for sixteen years. My blood will only make you worse, Damon,"

"So it was your vervain good for you, family only runs so deep,"

"We're not family Damon only in the most dysfunctional sense. I avoided having a living breathing loving family because of you,"

"I guess I can't talk you into bringing me a rabbit or something. I'd settle for Stefan's diet at this point,"

"You know I can't do that,"

"You succeeded Zach, i'm shutting down you're like your grandfather he didn't like it when I came to visit either,"

"But you don't visit Damon, you appear unannounced reminding me this isn't my house that you're just permitting me to live here. Hell that you're permitting me to live,"

"Someone had to mow the lawn,"

"I came to say goodbye Damon," as he turned to leave Damon flashed over grabbing Zach by the throat trying to strangle him to open the door.

Of course that is when Stefan chose to come downstairs. Grabbing Damon's arm pulling him off Zach as he fell to the floor.

"Keep it up Damon the more energy you expend the faster you'll go," with that Stefan helped Zach up and left the basement.

Back at the grill Elena was playing pool with Matt as she vented everything on her mind.

"And there's Vicki all nonchalant in the bathroom like it's no big deal that they're hooking up,"

"Yeah i'm not gonna lie your brother and my sister that's weird,"

"Yeah," Elena said checking her phone.

"How late is he?,"

"Hitting the hour mark nothing's wrong though which means i'm not talking boy problems with you,"

"Good I mean it's not we were ever best friends or anything,"

"Ok here it goes, What do you think of Stefan? Is he a good guy?,"

"Why what's he done?,"

"Not any one thing he's just so secretive all the time I think there's something he doesn't want me to know which makes me want to know all the more,"

"What like he's a serial killer and he keeps a clown suit in his trunk,"

"No of course not, but what do we know about him really?,"

"He's great at football, little bit of a loner, and as much I hate saying it he might be a nice guy,"

"So you think i'm just being paranoid?,"

"I think you should talk to him,"

"Talk to who," Stefan asked finally arriving at the grill to talk to Elena.

"I'm so sorry that I'm late,"

"What happened?,"

"I got held up,"

"Is everything ok?,"

"There's this thing with my uncle,"

"You couldn't call and tell me you were going to be a hour late?,"

"Ok you two have fun," Matt awkwardly said as he put his cue down and left the area.

"I'm really sorry it was unavoidable,"

"What was unavoidable?," when he wouldn't answer her she scoffed and put her cue down to leave.

"Ok,"

"Elena please,"

"Stefan don't you get it every question gets a vague non answer, what is so awful that you're afraid to tell me?,"

"I know you," came a elderly voice from behind Elena.

"My god,"

"I'm sorry,"

"I know you, how could it be?,"

"I think you have the wrong person sir,"

"You haven't aged a day,"

"I'm sorry excuse me, hey can I take you home and we could talk about it," Stefan asked Elena guiding her as quick as he could past the gentleman.

"Wait what was that?,"

"I, I don't know nothing,"

"Right nothing, ok um I gotta go Stefan," Elena said shaking her head as she left the Grill.

When Elena got home she knocked on Eliza's door before she opened it a bit to check on her.

"Oh sorry didn't know someone else was in here,"

"It's ok I am Greta I am here to help her while your aunt is away,"

"Is she ok?,"

"She will be," Greta avoided telling Elena anything supernatural she was told she was still in the dark.

"That's good, i'm happy to hear that, have a good night,"

"You too," Greta nodded as Elena left the room for the night.

Eliza was laying in bed slowly regaining color. Thankfully it didn't take Greta long to break the first layer of the spell that bound her to the person who was poisoned. So she didn't look as sickly.

Her brother had checked in on her too and she gave him the same update that the first part of the spell was broke to help her not look so sickly but she was still connected it would take time there was 3 different pieces to the spell. The second piece was the blood and then the final piece was the soul.

She kept her boss up to date as well and knew he would be happy for any updates on the lady he loved. She had heard about Eliza when she was known as Liza how if she ever saw her face she was to report it, he had been looking for her again for years since his father killed her in Paris.

Now perhaps things will get back on track, wait til she tells him her sister is the doppelganger everything he needed was in one town.
