Elena laid on her bed moping when Jeremy entered her bedroom leaning on the door frame.

"You ok?,"

"Is Vicki in there?,"

"Don't answer a question with another question, maybe, what's wrong with you?,"

"I'm miserable,"

"Well you should go get something to eat,"

"Good idea," Elena said climbing out of bed and heading downstairs.

Halfway down the stairs she heard clinking coming from the kitchen, she knew it wasn't Eliza she was upstairs laid up in bed.

"Jenna? Jenna?," she assumed it was their aunt since she had been making soup for Eliza lately.

As she pushed the sliding doors to the kitchen open she was stunned to see Stefan in their kitchen cooking.

"Stefan?, What are you doing here?,"

"Dinner, Jeremy told me that chicken Parmesan is one of your favorites and I happen to be a good cook Italian roots demand it. Can even make my own homemade mozzarella, only tonight it is unfortunately store bought sorry, I even have homemade broth on the stove for Eliza"

"I don't know what you're trying to accomplish,"

"You want to know me right? Well I figured if you want to dump me you should at least know who you're dumping. So let's start with the first woman in my life besides my mother lily. Her name was Elizabeth, she was a young lady with red flaming hair and fair skin, she had me and Damon wrapped around her fingers but not like Katherine. She split her time evenly between us making sure we each got a fair share of friend time, then she was engaged to Damon. It didn't change anything she continued to split her time. She was murdered before a party we were to attend, neither Damon nor i have healed from her death cause it was never solved," Elena gasped sadly knowing something so awful could happen to them.

"Then there was Katherine. She was the most beautiful girl i had ever met. She had this perfect olive skin, and she had this laugh it was ridiculous her laugh would make you laugh. And she was fun, and I could have a good time but Katherine was also very impatient, entitled, and selfish, and um impulsive. Enter Damon he claims he was with her first I don't know and I do know I did some things that i'm not proud of, and my biggest regret is not being able to make it right before she died too. I miss her but i'm no longer crippled by her loss," Stefan explained as Elena took a deep breath at everything he was sharing.

Upstairs Vicki stood in front of Jeremy after having come out of the bathroom.

"That was a nice thing you did for Stefan,"

"Well I was feeling romantic,"

"Look what I found," Vicki said holding up a bottle of pills.

Jeremy didn't feel like doing drugs he had been getting better lately, in a lot of ways.

"Elena Gilbert take one tablet every four to six hours as needed for pain," she read the label out loud as she made her way over sitting on Jeremy's desk chair.

"Those are left over from the car accident,"

"So she won't miss them," she said pouring two out on the desk then reaching over grabbing the pocket watch to use it to smash them.

"No not with that it's a antique," Vicki put it in Jeremy's hand and grabbed something else off his desk.

"I feel like we're always getting high,"

"That's the beauty of choice,"

"Well then let's choose not to, we don't have to be high all the time right?,"

"I really hope you're not one of those guys that while we're together doesn't try to change everything about me,"

"No," Jeremy said walking away from her.

"Good," Vicki said as she bent over to snort the drugs off the table.

Downstairs Elena had started helping Stefan with dinner.

"I'm a avid reader, huge Fitzgerald fan. Great Gatsby is a masterpiece. But i'm no snob I love some good Chisholm. I think Seinfeld is the best american television show in the past fifty years but I love Lucy is all time. The 'Loving Cup' episode is the best, I think. Huge Scorsese fan I can watch Taxi Driver over and over again,"

"Here let me," Elena said sliding over to chop the garlic.

"As far as music it's pretty much across the board. Dylan, Hendrix, Patsy, Willie, you know what I even like that one Miley song," as he said that Elena laughed.

"Easy,"

"I'm not saying anything, hey this is for the garlic bread right cause i'm not eating garlic unless you agree to too,"

"Are you kidding I love garlic," Stefan said as he went to the fridge.

"Ow," Elena said as she accidentally cut herself.

"You ok?,"

"Yeah i think so," Elena said grabbing the dish towel and going to the sink.

Stefan had touched the counter but felt something wet lifting his hand he saw her blood on his hand. His eyes started turning black and he knew if Elena looked up she could see it in the kitchen window above the sink.

Looking away fast as he could he grabbed another cloth to clean off his hand.

"Your face?,"

"Yeah I think I got something in my eye," Stefan tried to make the excuse as he tried so hard to will away the veins.

Elena placed her hands on his shoulders trying to get him to look at her but it took a minute before he took a deep breath as the fangs and veins went away.

"Um I think my paranoia has turned into full blown hallucinations,"

"Part of your charm," as he said that they gazed into each others eyes.

Elena took the lead leaning up and kissing Stefan smiling they finally made up.

"Let me take this up to Eliza then we can eat," Stefan gestured to the pot of broth on the stove.

Grabbing a bowl and a spoon he poured a ladle full of broth into the bowl and headed upstairs.

Knocking on Eliza's door it was opened by a woman he didn't know.

"Oh hello,"

"Hi can I help you,"

"I am a friend of Eliza's, and her sister's boyfriend I was cooking Elena dinner and made some broth for Eliza too cause I heard she wasn't well,"

"That was very nice of you, she is asleep right now but I will make sure she eats it,"

"Thank you," as Greta took the bowl from Stefan and closed the door he could feel the power knowing she was a witch. He was grateful though if she was helping Eliza he was glad she was.
