Elena and Stefan were washing a car yet she couldn't take her eyes off his ring.
"You're getting soap in that,"
"Oh it's fine,"
"I noticed that Damon has one too is there a story behind it?,"
"Yeah it's the family crest from the Italian renaissance,"
"Huh, What's the stone?,"
"It's called Lapis Luzuli,"
"Ah you should really take it off I can put it in my bag,"
"Nah it's fine, really, thanks though," Stefan sincerely said before he went back to washing the car.
"Ok, i'm gonna go get some towels,"
"Yup," Stefan said as he watched Elena walked away.
Finding Caroline Elena sat down beside her to talk to her about supplies.
"Hey we're out of towels and those shimmy things,"
"I will get some more, mind the money," Caroline asked as she stood to go get the supplies needed.
"That will be twenty dollars,"
"Here you go,"
"I saw you last night you were talking to a friend of mine at the grill,"
"Well um I thought it was someone I knew,"
"Stefan Salvatore,"
"Nah it can't be just my mind playing tricks on me,"
"Where do you think you've seen him before?,"
"When I first moved here I stayed at the Salvatore boarding house,"

"Stefan was just passing through to see his uncle, none of us even knew he was here until the attack,"
"The attack?,"
"His uncle got killed, mauled by a animal in the woods,"
"His uncle Zach?,"

"I'm sorry sir I don't think i'm familiar with the role,"
"Oh how could you this happened years ago,"
"Grandpa you got to go mom wants you home," Tiki said as she walked over seeing her grandfather still hanging around.
"He wasn't bugging you was he? He's a little Alzheimer's,"
"Ah no he wasn't he was sweet," Elena said getting up from the table and rushing over to the gentleman.
"Hey sir i'm sorry are you sure that the man that you saw, that you knew, his name was Stefan Salvatore?,"
"Yes I remember his ring, and his brother,"
"Damon?,"
"Yeah, Stefan and Damon Salvatore,"
"When was this?,"
"It was early June 1953, yeah June 1953," Elena stood starring at the man in shock and Eliza could see something was on her mind from the expression she could see from where she sat. Jackie on the other hand told her the one thing she didn't want to know, Elena was getting closer to knowing about the supernatural and she was gonna be pissed everyone knew before her.
Elena couldn't stop thinking about what she was told as she looked over and saw Stefan washing a car.
Giving him a awkward smile he dropped his towel and made his way over.
"So Caroline finally freed you huh,"
"I don't know where she went she abandoned me,"
"Hey I realized earlier that I had no idea that your family was from Italy,"
"No? Last name Salvatore didn't do it for you," Stefan teased her lightly.
"Right duh, are there any other Salvatore's in Mystic Falls?,"
"My uncle Zach,"
"Where did everyone else go?,"
"Just spread out, why?,"
"I'm just trying to learn more about you," Elena made the lame excuse as she tried to not be so nosy.
Jenna decided to sit at the picnic bench close to the news van when Elena approached her.
"Your car was done an hour ago,"
"You're saying that out loud why?," she asked as she stood as Logan walked up.
"Hi Elena right I think I met you once when you were nine," he said as he shook her hand.
"I met your sister a few more time though, nice young lady glad to see she's no longer so ill,"
"We all are happy she is better,"
"Your emotional maturity level when we were together,"
"Ouch and here I thought we were making progress,"
"Is he enough in your good graces that I could ask him for a favor?,"
"If I do her a favor do I get back in your good graces?,"
"Uh a very reluctant maybe to both,"
"Done, wait one condition, dinner tonight your house,"
"Fine, but your eating leftovers,"
"Oo, what do you need?,"
"Do you have access to old news stories say from the fifties?,"
"Yeah at the station, between the archives and the internet we have everything,"
"I have this report way past due it would be a lifesaver,"
"I'm heading there now, let's go,"
"If anyone asks you don't know where I went, I don't want Caroline to know that I left," Elena said making sure she had her phone and keys and took off quickly to join Logan in his van to the station.
Eliza rolled her eyes she knew where this was headed.
"Stefan heads up Elena is hot on the trail to your secret," as Eliza said this just loud enough for him to hear from afar his head popped up in shock.
"Be prepared for a fallout,"
"He says thank you for the warning," Jackie answered for him since Eliza couldn't hear him.
"How are you feeling?,"
"I'm ok, thank you Greta I hope he rewards you very greatly for such a wonderful job you have done for me,"
"t was my pleasure to help you I heard so much about you from those who are still awake that I feel like I already held a high level of respect for you,"
"So sweet of you to say," Eliza patted her hand and smiled as Matt walked up keys dangling in his fingers.
"All done my lady,"
"Thank you kind sir," Eliza laughed as she took the keys back.
"Ready to go ladies?,"
"Yup, i'm starved let's go eat," Jackie chimed in.
"Sounds good," together they headed off together to go to the grill to eat.
Eliza was feeling good, so they chose to stay in and eat. Greta was in awe of the grill when she walked in the homey feeling was astounding.
Jackie jumped into the first booth and when the waiter came over ordered them three cokes to starts. She knew no alcohol for Eliza til she was back to a hundred percent.
They all took the time to scan the menus, Eliza wasn't very hungry yet so she chose the Caesar salad with a bowl of fruit, Jackie went with a rare burger with fries, and Greta chose to try the BLT with sweet fries.
This was perfect harmony no vampire stress just fun with friends, for now.
