Mystic Falls 1864

Elizabeth held onto to Stefan's arm as they exited the Salvatore mansion ready to greet this suppose new house guest they were expecting. Standing in the doorway they watched as the horse drawn carriage came into the courtyard as their house servants stood at the bottom step.

Elizabeth had come over to visit but had not realized that her mother had dressed her in the nicest blue dress she owned and did her hair extra special until now. Giuseppe knew she would be over and had made sure that the Mackenzie's were well represented too.

The carriage pulled to a stop in front of them an Stefan gave Elizabeth a small smirk knowing that this would be interesting since Mystic Falls never received new people.

The carriage man placed the foot stool down in front of the door and opened it. All they could see were two ladies inside the carriage and were surprised since women didn't often travel alone.

The first out was a young lady wearing a pink hat, a light blue shirt, a blue shawl, and a cream skirt. She looked so young to be a companion to the other young lady,

The next out was wearing a blue and peach outfit that blended together so well, but it wasn't til she lifted her head that Elizabeth gasped. Talia. That was all she could think as she looked at the woman in front of her. But how, Talia was murdered a thousand years ago by Mikael. She had to have had born a child out of wedlock and now her line continue with torturing her with seeing the face of the woman who got between her original family and her husband. At least he made amends with her before she was killed too. She realized it had been a curse placed upon her family to fall for the face of the woman in front of her. Not this time she tried to swear but couldn't promise.

Stefan was smitten with first look and so Elizabeth unhooked her arm from his knowing it was useless.

Stefan made his way down the stairs to greet her.

"You must be Miss Pierce,"

"Please call me Katherine," the name caused Elizabeth to shudder.

She knew there was a reason this woman caused a chill through her body she was the wicked woman who ran from her Niklaus before she was turned ruining his chances to break the curse for not only himself but for them both.

Mystic Falls Present Day

Elena stood in front of the front door to the boarding house determined to get answers.

"What are you? What are you?,"

"You know,"

"No I don't,"

"Yes you do, or you wouldn't be here,"

"It's not possible, it can't be," Stefan slowly stepped out putting the stake on the ledge next to the door.

"Everything you know, and every belief that you have is about to change are you ready for that?,"

"What are you?,"

"I'm a vampire,"

"I shouldn't have come,"

"No," Stefan tried to step closer but Elena turn and tried to make a run for her car.

"Please please,"

"No, no," Elena said running for her car only to be stopped by Stefan flashing in front of her.

"How did you do that?,"

"Please don't be afraid of me,"

"Let me go,"

"Elena there's things you have to know or you won't understand,"

"Let me go,"

"Elena please," Stefan begged as Elena jumped into her car and took off.

Stefan was heart broken it had to happen this way.

When she arrived home she ran upstairs and into her room slamming the door.

Eliza was awake next door and sighed knowing what had happened. Getting up she exited her room and made her way into her sister's room finding her in the bathroom.

"You ok?,"

"No, you wouldn't believe me if I told you,"

"Try me," Elena made her way back into her room sitting on her bed kicking off her shoes before flopping back on her bed.

Eliza stood with her arms crossed waiting for Elena to talk as she stood near the bedroom door.

Standing up still freaking out Elena started pacing back and forth as she ripped off her jacket.

Eliza had her eyebrow raised knowing her sister was over reacting the vampire news wasn't even the biggest of the things she would come across in her life now, wait til she heard about her past.

"Elena," Stefan appeared in her room behind her.

"Nice brother scare her even more," she rolled her eyes at his antic.

Elena turned scared making her way to her bedroom door but Eliza stepped in front of it stopping her knowing it would be chaos in the house if she started screaming vampire.

"I would never hurt you, you're safe with me,"

"All those animal attacks? Those people who died?,"

"No that was Damon,"

"He's a idiot you will get use to him doing stupid shit," Eliza piped in about Damon causing Stefan to give her a 'you're not helping' look which caused her to shrug her shoulders.

"Damon?,"

"Yes, I don't drink human blood it's not how I choose to survive but Damon does,"

"He'd rather drink Bambi or Thumper," Elena had a gross horrified look now as Eliza made mention of those movie characters.

"I'll explain everything to you but I beg you Elena do not tell anybody,"

"How can you ask me that?,"

"Cause you knowing this is dangerous for a lot of people and so many reasons. You can hate me but I need you to trust me,"

"Just go," Elena whispered and now Eliza could hear the heartbreak and pain in her sister's voice making her drop her arms ready to hug her.

"Just go please, go, if you mean me no harm then you'll go,"

"I never wanted this," as Elena turned to face Eliza Stefan took off as she pulled her into a hug.

Pulling away she rushed to the window slamming it and locking it before going back to her sister.

"It will be ok Elena, but now that you know there is more you need to know but I wont burden you with it til tomorrow ok," Elena nodded against her shoulder as she silently wept.

Eliza finally got her sister settled and changed and in bed before she went back to her room. Greta and Jackie sat there with pain and tears on their faces from overhearing what had happened next door.

With silent agreement the ladies all got ready for bed and decided to turn in for the night.

Damon though stood in a graveyard feeling a thousand times better now that he had fed. Putting the bodies in the fire he at least covered his tracks. Pulling his phone out of pocket he dialed Stefan.

"Hello,"

"I want my ring,"

"Where are you?,"

"I'm at the sizzler I had the buffet, where's my ring?,"

"I have it, where are you? what have you done?,"

"No what have you done? You're the one who locked me in the basement and starved me so whatever I've done, whoever i've sucked dry is on you buddy,"

"You're being careless, how many more animal attacks is this town going to believe huh,"

"I know how to cover my tracks Stefan, where's my ring?,"

"I gave it to Zach to hide probably shouldn't have killed him,"

"You almost got me, where is it?,"

"I'll get it back but I need time,"

"What did you FedEx it to Rome? Where is it?, I want my ring Stefan or my next stop's Elena's,"

"I already want you dead don't give me another reason to make it happen,"

"Don't give me another reason to rip you apart,"

"Yeah is that gonna be before or after you get your ring back?,"

"Just get it," Damon snapped his phone closed annoyed with Stefan even more now.

Realizing he missed a body he grabbed the liquor and poured it over the body. It was then she coughed, Vicki didn't want to die.

"You just don't want to die do you?," Damon questioned as he knelt down next to her.

Changing his mind on her he let the others burn before he flashed back to the boarding house with Vicki.

At the Gilbert house Elena was upstairs in her room, Jeremy was asleep in his room, and the three musketeers as Jenna had started calling them were all asleep in Eliza's room.

Jenna sat on the couch watching tv quietly unable to get to sleep that night. She could hear the silent shuffle on the porch and made her way outside surprised to see Stefan.

"You ok kid?,"

"Damon escaped, killed Zach, fed somewhere, threatened Elena, and she found out I'm a vampire and is freaking out,"

"Come sit," Jenna gestured to the porch swing.

"Listen Stefan when I was first told about all this I flipped out too, took comfort food and booze to settle my nerves enough to come to grips with reality. Give her time. I am the guardian to three stubborn kids who get into everything from normal to supernatural trouble. But now I wouldn't trade anything in the world for them. I will always protect them. I admit I hated you after you poisoned Eliza when you attacked Damon but you didn't know and now she is doing better. You may be older them me by a lot but I'm here if you need a ear to listen Stefan, you mean a lot to Eliza so I will care about you as well,"

"Thank you Miss Sommers,"

"Jenna please, now you can stay here and guard the house but I'm finally tired so I will head to bed, good night Stefan,"

"Goodnight Jenna," with that Jenna headed back inside to get some sleep.
