"She could control my mind and Damon's and compelled each of us to keep the secret from the other. She wanted all of us to be together forever," Elena had at this point stood up leaning against a pillar trying to grasp all of this.

"Didn't work out that way but Damon and I, looks like we're stuck with each other," Stefan said reaching down taking Damon's ring out from under the broken piece of pillar on the ground where he had hidden it.

"Like it or not,"

"Is that Damon's ring?,"

"I took it from him but I have to give it back,"

"No don't Stefan keep it hidden,"

"Elena if I don't give it to him he will retaliate in the only way he knows how,"

"And how is that?,"

"By hurting you and Eliza," Elena gulped suddenly realizing how deep things went.

"But how will hurting Eliza hurt you?,"

"That is her story not mine," Stefan refused to divulge her secrets it wasn't his place to do so.

At the Gilbert house Jeremy and Jackie had arrived home not long after Eliza and they ate together before he headed upstairs to do some drawing and listen to music. Eliza and Jackie sat in the living room watching Transformers as they waited for the rest of the household to come home.

Suddenly the doorbell started going off the hook.

"What the hell?," Eliza questioned as Jeremy came running downstairs.

Opening the door Jeremy was shocked to see Vicki.

"The sun is killing me my eyes are on fire,"

"Where have you been?,"

"It's good everything's good,"

"Did something happen?,"

"I'm hungry what do you got to eat," Vicki stormed towards the kitchen intending to raid it.

Eliza and Jackie both got up and headed into the kitchen. Jackie knew what was happening and nudged Eliza making a mock vampire face to show her what was wrong with Vicki,

Her eyes widened and she grew concerned with her being around her brother now. She liked Vicki but now that she was turning it was risky. If she chose to turn everything that was wrong with her will blow up ten fold and in her case that was bad.

"You're high Vicki it's the middle of the day," Jeremy was disappointed as Vicki took dish after dish out of their fridge determined to eat it.

"Jeremy,"

"Eliza I need to..," it was then he saw Eliza's expression and as she shook her head he realized it was worse then he thought.

"Can you not talk so loud my head hurts I need quiet,"

"Enough Vicki I won't let you waste the food I cooked for my family you can take one dish but you are not eating all of our food," Eliza said sternly sending Jackie over to take control of the situation.

While they attempted to handle the situation Elena and Stefan were getting ready to leave the old Salvatore ruins.

"The mind control thing you said Katherine used did you ever do that to me?,"

"No, that necklace contains a herb called vervain it protects you from being compelled. I wanted to protect you from Damon's influence. But I also wanted to protect you from me. Elena you should never take that necklace off because no matter what happens after today no matter how you feel about me you will know you were free to make your own choice," with that they got into Elena's car.

Back at the house Jeremy had called Matt over knowing that Vicki would need her brother while she went through her last 24 hours if she didn't feed on blood to change.

"Where is she?," Matt asked as Jeremy let him into the house.

"This way," Jeremy led him into the kitchen where Eliza and Jackie stood blocking the fridge while Vicki sat on the floor leaning against the island.

"What's she on?,"

"I don't know,"

"Hey Vick how you doing?," Matt asked as he bent down and removed her glasses.

"Not good Matty I hurt,"

"OK where does it hurt?,"

"My gums, my jaw hurts. There's something in my gums it hurts. No just leave me alone," Vicki turned away as Matt reached out to touch her arm.

"Come on Vick don't be like that let's get you home,"

"Just turn it off," she screamed.

"Turn what off?,"

"The talking guys just turn it off," Vicki shoved Matt away and got up ending up in the living room where the tv was on and Logan Fell was reporting from the graveyard.

Jeremy walked over and grabbed the remote to turn the volume back on to hear what he had to say.

"Three bodies were found dead in what is believed to be a drug deal gone awry. The bodies have yet to be identified. They were discovered earlier today over at the old Mystic Falls cemetery,"

"That's where we were last night,"

"What happened Vick?,"

"It is now a homicide and the police are looking for suspects. If you know anything or have any information please call the station,"

"I'm going to call the cops," Matt said turning to go use the phone.

"No don't,"

"What happened after I left last night Vick," as Jeremy approached her she got angry and shoved him making him fall back into the back of the couch.

"Hey that's it take your sister and get the fuck out of our house i won't tolerate violence," Eliza yelled as she ran over and knelt by her brother giving Vicki a dirty look.

"Jer you ok?," Matt asked walking over to help him up.

"Yeah i'm fine i'm fine,"

"Damn Vick," it was then Stefan and Elena walked into the kitchen and she walked over seeing Jeremy on the floor with Eliza.

"What's going on?,"

"Stefan, she's turning," Jackie had walked over to him as he entered and whispered in his ear.

"She's really messed up,"

"Elena back up," Stefan put himself in between her and Vicki after Jackie told him what was happening.

"Vicki look at me," he said getting her attention.

"Focus you're going to be fine, everything's going to be fine. Guy's take her up to bed shut the blinds she's going to be fine, come on," he placed a hand on Jeremy's back as he stood up and guided them to the stairs.

Elena stood looking at her sister and Jackie wondering how everything was getting so crazy.

"You know what's wrong with her?," she asked glancing over at Eliza and Jackie wondering if they knew the truth.

"Yeah,"

"What is it?,"

"She's transitioning,"

"Transitioning to what?,"

"A vampire,"

"What?,"

"Damon must have gotten to her she's new she hasn't completed the transformation yet,"

"How does she do that?,"

"She has to feed on human blood,"

"Blood," Jackie and he both said.

"And what if she doesn't?," Elena asked looking at them both surprised Jackie knew about all this .

"She'll die, she may only have a few hours,"

"She's upstairs with him right now,"

"We're listening to them though," Jackie tapped her ear.

"I can't even, you are one too," Elena was trying to grasp onto this new development.

"It's ok she doesn't even know what's happening to her,"

"So when is she going to know?,"

"Right now she doesn't remember. A part of her is still human but slowly and deeper she goes into the transition her memories will start to come back and then she will know she will have to make the choice,"

"Same choice you both made?,"

"To be fair I was dying in a New York club from a random shooting I was scared and didn't want to die," Jackie pointed out her back story.

Matt had come backstairs only to have Vicki run down the stairs and out the door a minute later. Eliza was thankful she didn't hurt Jeremy any more then she had but hope she would be ok now it was a matter of will she or won't she.
