Eliza and Jackie sat outside at a picnic bench when they saw Elena walking towards them talking to a fellow classmate. She was almost to them when she stopped suddenly Stefan suddenly appearing.

"Hi we need to talk, there's a new vampire in town"

"So you have no idea who it could be?,"

"We do I just don't want to worry you I wanted you to be aware,"

"It must be somebody new because leaving a body like that they're either sloppy or trying to send a message,"

"And you're sure it's not Damon?,"

"Well I'm never sure about Damon but he's been trying to keep a low profile so it doesn't make sense to me,"

"So what are you going to do?,"

"Damon is tracking them right now,"

"Look I promised you the truth so I wanted to tell you. I want you to be careful,"

"When I saw you I thought you were coming to say goodbye,"

"Not yet," Stefan said.

Eliza and Jackie had packed up their stuff while they were talking and had headed home.

When they got in Jeremy was sitting on the couch with his back to the door drawing.

"What cha drawing," Eliza asked in his ear making him jump causing the girls to laugh.

"Very funny smart ass," Jeremy said giving her a 'really' look at her scaring him.

"What do you think?," he asked as Jenna walked in behind the girls.

"Looks good bro," Eliza was happy he had embraced the new world around him with ease and understanding.

"Creepy," Jenna commented.

"So unrealistic," Jackie laughed as she took a second going vampire face for him to see for a better accurate look.

She put it away though not long after last she needed was for Elena to walk in and discover the secret despite them knowing that she knew about the supernatural now a days.

"I found this old journal in dad's stuff. Jonathon Gilbert from the 1800's,"

"Oh god seriously he journal too, I knew him he was a whack job who locked himself in the house never bothering with any of his neighbors,"

"Explains so much," Jenna rolled her eyes.

"Yeah he is kind of a freak show, wrote about demons and people getting slaughtered,"

"I always thought he was a writer of short stories and horror stuff before we came to know about the fact it was all real,"

"Yeah sorry about that again," Eliza knew they were involved now because of her.

"Oh yeah thank Nik for us I loved the gifts he sent,"

"Me too, I hope we get to meet him someday,"

"You will he just has to finish the rest of his work, the only reason he returned back when we went to his house in Washington was cause I had that breakdown and he knew i needed all the support I could get,"

"Can't wait,"

"Me neither," they agreed.

Jackie headed to the greenhouse while Eliza went upstairs.

As she sat on her bed she pulled out a small book from her night table drawer. Flipping it open she smiled Nik had drawn different moments from their time with them giving it to her to remember their first reunion together.

Two hours later Eliza and Jackie headed back to school for career night with Jenna and Jeremy. He had chosen to ride with Jenna so she wouldn't be alone and Eliza understood.

When they arrived Jeremy headed for the art table, Jenna took off to mingle, Eliza and Jackie just walked around to look at the options.

Elena they had noticed was over talking to Matt.

"Still want to be a astronaut?,"

"I can't believe you remember that,"

"I remember the tinfoil hat that you wore on your head,"

"I was eight,"

"How are you doing?,"

"I've had it easier,"

"You? I mean I heard some things. So it's true then you and Stefan?,"

"Yeah it is, what about you Matt Donovan?, I heard about Caroline,"

"Man not you too,"

"Hey,"

"We're friends it's not a big deal,"

"No?," it was then Stefan entered the room making Matt and Elena turn to look at him.

"I'm guessing you're not here to plan the path for your future?, you're looking out for me?,"

"I hope that's okay," Elena turned walking away from him as he asked her.

"You know I wanted to be a doctor before everything happened," Stefan commented as he walked over standing next to her at the table.

"But then I couldn't because,"

"The blood?,"

"Yeah, I've dabbled in a bunch of different things though,"

"Didn't love anything enough to stick to it?,"

"No I loved it all, I just had to move on before anybody could notice that I wasn't getting any older,"

"How long before that would happen?,"

"A few years usually, sometimes shorter,"

"And you always left?,"

"I didn't have a choice. So what about, what about you? What are your plans for the future,"

"I don't want to talk about my future Stefan because everything you're saying is making it perfectly clear you're not in it,"

"Well it's not that I don't wanna be in it,"

"You can't I get it, I heard you the first time and the second. And I appreciate you looking out for me but please if you're gonna leave just go,"

"Hide me," Jenna asked as she walked up to Eliza and Jackie by the snack machine that sat in the school lobby.

"Why?," they both asked at the same time.

"The 'Scum' fell has landed,"

"Logan's here?," Eliza grew concerned since he was their newest issue.

Jackie went into protect mode swapping places with Jenna so that she was on the outside in case of issue.

Stefan happened to catch wind of Logan's name and fast walked out of the classroom he was in with Elena.

"Jenna are you dodging me?," Logan asked walking up to them.

"Stay away from them," Jackie growled as she got into a stance while Eliza pulled out her phone texting Elijah to send one of his men to the school.

You see Elijah had a few select vampire guards follow the girls back to Mystic falls they had noticed them even though they respected them and kept their distance patrolling the town.

"It's a form of self preservation."

Eliza slipped her phone back in her pocket after she sent the text knowing that the guard would be here rather quickly.

"What are you doing here?,"

"You know Damon asked me the same question before I shot him with wooden bullets and left him where I was staying,"

"You shot Damon?,"

"In fact why don't we skip past all that 'who turned me' stuff and get the answer that I want. How can I turn into a day walker?,"

"The Salvatore's and I are the only ones I know of,"

"But you're all cagey on the how which tell me there is a way. You know in case you hadn't noticed I'm quite the celebrity in this town. It would be very, very easy for me to expose you all. How do you think they would feel knowing that a known vampire had been living with the Gilbert's all this time,"

"I would say that would be the worst mistake of your life," Jackie didn't back down as Eliza noticed the guard enter the school.

She noticed he scanned the room looking for the vampire world's queen and when found discretely walked over to be near by in case this newbie touched her.

He had told about the vampire who lives with her and is her official guard and he would happy to have her back if she needed the help, but so far she was holding her own.

"You want to know how you walk in the sun?,"

"I do,"

"You can't, don't ever threaten me again," with that said Jackie gestured Eliza and Jenna towards the guard and they walked away from Logan.

"Thank you for coming," Eliza said lowly towards where the guard stood and she received a nod in return.

They stopped and stood out of the way when Mr Saltzman walked over.

"I was hoping to see you here,"

"Career night is the new bowling," Eliza smirked as they flirted with each other.

As they talked there was a sudden commotion. Looking over they noticed Jeremy and Tyler fighting, something they hadn't seen in a long time.

Alaric and the mayor ran over pulling them apart.

"Alright work it out tough guy,"

"You two follow me," the mayor demanded.

Eliza knew this was bad since the Lockwood's ha a lineage of supernatural in their blood.

"Excuse me mayor where are you taking them?," Alaric asked concerned.

"I'm gonna talk to them. Fights should end in handshakes don't you think? ,"

"Ric follow them please," Eliza asked knowing it would look better if he interfered.

Thankfully Ric listened to her and took off behind them. When they got outside he found the mayor telling them to fight. Both the boys though were refusing to though.

"What's going on out here?,"

"I'm just letting these two kids work it out. We're good here go back inside,"

"I don't want to go back inside. What I want is a answer to my question. What's going on out here?,"

"Who do you think you're talking to? Do I look like a student?,"

"No, you look like a full grown alpha male douche bag," as Ric said that both boys raised their eyebrows in surprise.

"You don't talk to me like that, I could have your job like this," the mayor snapped his fingers thinking he was scaring Ric.

"You do that, then it will be you and me in this parking lot working things out. You cool with that,"

"You just marked yourself,"

"Okay," Ric shrugged as Tyler walked off with his father.

"You alright?," Jeremy smirked and nodded as they headed back inside.

When Eliza saw them she felt a weight off her shoulders now that Logan had left and Jeremy was safe.

The guard had left as well now that the queen as the guard called her was safe.

Hopefully now Stefan could save Caroline from Logan.
