The next day Jenna and she sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee and tea when Jenna approached the topic of vampirism.

"Would you be upset if I approached them about turning into a vampire?,"

"Huh what now seriously you wanna turn?,"

"I think it would be good I don't want to leave this family we have put together,"

"I understand, I'm sure Nik or Eli would be honored to turn you they know how much you mean to me,"

"You are right dear sister," Elijah spoke as he appeared in the kitchen when he heard his name.

"You just name the time you're ready Miss Summers and we will turn you. You have earned it for all you have done for our Liza,"

"Thank you Elijah, I should get back Elena wanted to talk might as well give her some attention,"

"You know I was thinking I have all these empty rooms I know Jeremy would be more comfortable near me not a house where the beacon of vampires live," Jenna laughed at how she labeled her sister and nodded.

"If he wants to he can move in with you at least I know he will be safe here with you,"

"We'll talk about it more later aunt Jenna have fun with Elena," she waved as Jenna headed out the door.

"I'm going to take my tea on the back porch Eli,"

"Okay sister just yell if you need us," she nodded while heading out the back door.

She was about to sit on the porch swing when she noticed movement in the forest. Looking out her heart jumped in her throat at seeing someone she hadn't seen since 1864.

"Harper?,"

"Miss Elizabeth," he bowed to her but was caught off guard as she ran forward hugging him.

"You never have to bow to me, it's not 1864 anymore you're free my friend,"

"Truly?,"

"Yes that part of history is very frowned upon now,"

"That is quite refreshing to know," Harper said as she led him to the porch.

"Eli!," a second later her brother appeared outside.

"Sister who is this?,"

"Elijah this is Harper he was my friend back in 1864, he worked for my family but I cared about him and the others unlike most of the town people. I was wondering if you could have a senior talk with him, I would love to have him stay with us,"

"Are you sure miss Elizabeth,"

"It's Eliza now but yes Harper, I won't leave you to fend for yourself in a new age after 145 years in that tomb. Though if you're out so are the others so we might have a few very angry vampires in town," she directed that last part to Elijah.

"I will have the guards double their patrols to include the founding families houses. Now Harper I am Elijah Mikaelson, I am one of five original vampires. In other words we are why you exist. You seem dear to my sister so I will help you adjust to this time period for I know how it is to have to adjust to a era. Let's start with a wardrobe change," Elijah said leading Harper to the house.

"Harper you can enter," Eliza called out quickly before they got to the door so he wouldn't be stopped.

"Liz who was that?," Jackie asked as she came out leaning against the door frame.

"His name is Harper, he knew my family back in 1864. Jackie they got out the vampires from the tomb the spell failed. We will need to be aware of our surroundings not all of them are friendly there will be a handful of angry vampires,"

"Shit, good to know sis wanna head back in?,"

"No I need some fresh air for a bit I'll be a yell away,"

"You better," Jackie tried to be stern only to have them both crack up laughing.

At the Gilbert house Jenna arrived home as she saw Elena hang up the phone.

"What are you doing out here? It's cold,"

"Thinking, writing, the funeral for Bonnie's grandma it brought back a lot about mom and dad. I was wondering, you said that you would do some digging about them. The adoption?,"

"Right,"

"So did you? Dig?,"

"After checking on your sister which you haven't at all since she found her parent's dead, I did though look for you for the information. Come on inside,"

"Your dad kept everything from his medical practice. Records, logs, old appointment books. I found an entry from the night you were born. Patient and birth date. Isobel Peterson,"

"Think that's her real name?,"

"Pregnant teenage runaway? Probably not. First name maybe. But where'd she get Peterson. A classmate? Best friend? So I binged it. I searched for all the Peterson's in this area born the same year as Isobel. Found three, two men, and a woman Trudie . Who lived in Grove Hill Virginia,"

"That's not far from here,"

"Now watch this," Jenna said inputting Trudie Peterson Grove Hill High School into the search engine.

Up came a image from the yearbook or two cheerleaders. A blonde and a brunette.

"Isobel. She was a cheerleader,"

"Trudie still lives there, this is her address," Jenna handed Elena a sticky pad paper with the information.

"What about Isobel?,"

"I couldn't find anything about her," Elena was sad about that as she sat down at the kitchen table beside Jenna.

"Listen there's something else. Mr Saltzman, Ric? His wife was from around here, and her name was also Isobel,"

"Wait..was? As in?,"

"She died," Elena nodded before heading upstairs.

Stefan arrived at the house five minutes later and stood in her room in shock as she told him.

"Wait Alaric's wife might have been your mother?,"

"It can't be true right? I mean the coincidence alone is just crazy. I have the address for her friend Trudie," Elena turned showing Stefan the sticky.

"You wanna talk to her?,"

"I don't know. I..I don't know. If it's true and they are the same person that means that my birth mother is dead and I don't know if I can handle that,"

"Why don't you start by going to talk to your sister, remember she just found out her parent's, who she waited for days to see, to hug, to be reunited with was found murdered in the tomb,"

"Why should I? It's partly her fault as well as Damon's that Bonnie's grandmother is dead,"

"You can't blame her for that, Bonnie has already contacted her to send condolences to each other and support each other,"

"Have you been to see her?," Elena got angry at hearing that Stefan knew all this and that Bonnie was talking to Eliza and not her.

"Yes, because right now she is full time living in her family home with two very old vampires, and Jackie. She needs a support system right now and I have been her oldest friend. So yeah I went to see her,"

"Well I can't I don't forgive her for this tomb drama and I might never,"

"Then you will lose her forever and she won't help you in any way, shape or form," Stefan was disappointed in Elena.

"Did Jenna tell you anything about Alaric's wife?," Stefan asked to get the conversation back to safer topic.

"How she died?,"

"Just that she was killed and the case was never solved,"

"You knew that already?,"

"The night at the school when he attacked me he told me some things about her death,'

"Well..,"

"No, no, no. It's not possible. The coincidences, it's too much. Listen if you do decide to go talk to Isobel's friend, I'll go with you. Yeah?,"

"I just don't know what I'm going to do yet," Stefan nodded in understanding as Elena reached up hugging him.

"I should get going. I gotta go deal with Damon,"

"How's he doing?,"

"He's dealing, in his own way," Stefan said thinking how the house had been nothing but sorority girls lately with Damon.

Damon was dancing in the living room with three girls. This was how he coped by dancing, feeding, and having fun.

"How do I taste?,"

"So much better then your friends, but.. don't tell them that they might get jealous," they laughed until the lights came on.

"No buzzkill bob," he whined as Stefan turned on the lights an turned off the music.

"Greetings,"

"Can we talk?,"

"Yeah,"

"Without the tri-delts?,"

"Anything you have to say to me you can say in front of them. They're really good at keeping secrets,"

"It's important about Elizabeth," that made Damon sober up and sit the girls down while going to the upper level of the room platform to talk.

"You're worried about me. That's nice. Now what's wrong with Lizzie I thought she was with Jackie and her family to get true comfort after the tomb something I couldn't give her,"

"She moved into the Mackenzie house and has taken on the name and role of lady of the house. She is living with Eli and Nik who are staying with her only to leave to conduct their business when they can't do it on the laptop. Jackie is living there too. Jenna and Jeremy go over often, and I checked in on her a few times too. She's in pain Damon and it will take a long time for that pain to go away,"

"I know, I wish she didn't need to see that I swear I didn't know they were dead. Do we know how or who?,"

"Pearl said Katherine did it as the final hurrah against the Mackenzie's,"

"Fuck," Damon shook his head hurting for his baby girl.

"As for me don't be worried. There's no need. I'm fine. Why wouldn't I be? I spent the last 145 years with one goal, get in that tomb. I succeeded. Granted Katherine wasn't in there to be rescued, but why dwell? You know it's so liberating not having a master plan because I can do whatever the hell I want,"

"That's kind of what i'm afraid of,"

"Relax I haven't killed anyone in.. too long,"

"Those girls?,"

"Will end up in their dorm with headaches. Thinking they blacked out business as usual. Predictably you didn't pull me over here for a pep talk or just to talk about Lizzie, what else?,"

"There was a woman you may have known a few years back named Isobel, in North Carolina at Duke,"

"You wanna discuss the women in my past right now? Seriously?,"

"You killed her,"

"What's your point?,"

"I just wanna know if you remember anything about her,'

"It's like a needle in a haystack Stefan,"

"Well think hard it's important,"

"Nothing is important, not anymore. Great chat. I have to go exploit some women in the name of grief, which i'm sure you understand. TTFN said the Tri-Delt," Stefan looked after Damon as he went back to the girls sadly.

He knew this tomb situation had hit both him and Eliza harder then anyone and he hoped he would be able to help them both in any way.
