Overview
Michael Akiyama (秋山 ミカエル Akiyama Michael)?) is the main character of Digimon Frontier: Rise and Fall of the Guardian. He is the childhood friend of Takuya Kanbara and one of the "DigiDestined", children who were chosen to receive the ability to transform into Digimon in order to save the Digital World. He is also the human identity of Guardiamon, best friend of Lucemon and once helped bring peace to the Digital World.
Appearance
Michael is a young boy with fair, almost pale, skin, blond hair and blue eyes. He wears a white vest over a yellow short sleeve shirt with a green star in the middle under a white sleeveless vest, light blue jeans, white socks, and white and grey sneakers with yellow soles. He also wears a necklace made from one of Guardiamon's feathers given to him by a Cherrymon, but it disappear when true forms of the Spirits of Darkness were revealed.
When going for a swim at the Toucan Paradise, he wears blue swim trunks with yellow lines on the sides.
When making burgers at the Hamburger Village, he wears a yellow cooking apron over his regular clothes.
Description
Michael started out as being shy when he was younger, but grew more social and friendly after meeting Takuya Kanbara in pre-school. He is very kind, caring and well mannered, treating every kid he meets like a brother or sister despite himself being an only child. He is unable to tell a lie but is prone to bury his problems in his heart. He is strong willed and determined, not willing to back down when someone is in need of help.

Michael Akiyama (秋山 ミカエル)
Ja: Akiyama (秋山). Japanese surname that means "autumn mountain".
Ja: Michael (ミカエル). Name comes from the angel Michael.
Digimon Forms
Guardiamon (ガーディアモン, Gādiamon) Is the true form of Michael. Michael became Guardiamon's human identity after being wounded by Lucemon and escaping to the human world. In order to fully recover, Guardiamon split his consciousness in two, one becoming Michael and the other returning to the Digital World as a Digi-egg. Michael was able to become Guardiamon twice again once accidentally he and Takuya arrived in Shibuya Train Station on the Dark Trailmon after the both of them being trounced by Duskmon when he reverted back into Guardiamon while Takuya reverts to Flamemon and being haunted by the specter of both the childhood friends' defeat at Duskmon's hands while the two disguised themselves as a human. While skeptical at his childhood friend's suggestion to prevent themselves from ever coming to the Digital World in the first place, but after overhearing his adoptive mother and Grandfather(who was paying Saya a surprise visit) realizing that this would mean leaving their new friends to their dooms, as he and Flamemon overcomes their fear, drives off the specter of Duskmon, and returns to the Digital World as Saintmon. He was fully able to become Guardiamon again when the true forms of the Spirits of Darkness were revealed.
Attacks
Holy Feather Shot: His wings glow in a bright light and then he fires energy projectiles in the shape of feathers that can also hone in on the target.
Grand Blade Slash: Gathers a massive amount of holy energy into his right hand and forms a large blade of light which he then attacks with one big slash.
Salvation Arrow: Turns a feather into an arrow of light and shoots it at the opponent. It can cleanse the hearts of all evil digimon.
Saintmon (セントモン, Sentomon) is the digimon form that Michael takes by using the Human Spirit of Truth. Michael first obtained this Spirit when Grumblemon was about to hit him with his hammer.
Attacks
Flaming Sword Creates a sword of fire from the palm of his hand.
Heavenly Rush: Performs a series of rapid-fire punches.(This move will do a Unison Attack with Agunimon's Gatling Burst).
Holy Energy Wave: Saintmon project massive blasts of divine energy.(This can be a three-way union attack with Agunimon's Pyro Darts and Lobomon's Howling Laser).
Sacred Cascade: Fires lasers of sacred light from his wings.
Orthomon (オーソモン, Ōsomon) is the form Michael assumes when he uses the Beast Spirit of Truth. Michael first obtained this Spirit from Guardiamon's castle in the Sky Terminal, after Ranamon took Takuya hostage with the help of Cyclonemon(who's a member of her fan club) to learn the location of Guardiamon's Digi-egg. Michael had an easier time controlling his this Spirit due to his previous experience being possessed by the Beast Spirit of Flame.
Attacks
Holy Bolts: Fires energy bolts from his mouth against it's targets.
Photon Holy Geyser: Releases a bright burst of holy energy from his body at the opponent(This move will do a Unison Attack with BurningGreymon's Wildfire Tsunami).
Celestial Barrage: Fires beams of high-speed light from his wings and talons.
Mazdamon (マツダモン, Matsudamon) By combining the Human and Beast Spirits of Truth, Michael can become Mazdamon. Many of Saintmon and Orthomon's features can be recognized in Mazdamon. Michael obtains the power to combine his two spirits when he received energy from Guardiamon's Digi-Egg during his and Takuya's fight with ShadowSeraphimon and an Evil Clone of Michael.
Attacks
Zandyne (ザンダイン): Unleashes holy force energy at foes(This can be a union attack with Aldamon's Solar Wind Destroyer).
Ultra Flaming Sword (超炎の剣): Creates a giant sword made of flames and slashes the opponent.(This can be a three-way union attack with Aldamon's Atomic Inferno and BeoWolfmon's Frozen Hunter).
Thronesmon Michael attains this form when he Unifies the Solar Blade, Lunar Bow, Mirror of Truth and the Spirits of Truth. Michael first becomes Thronesmon when he helps, Takuya Kanbara and Koji Minamoto fighting against the Royal Knights at Guardiamon's castle. He also fights UlforceVeedramon many times in this form.
Attacks
Rain of Arrows (矢の雨): Fires thousands of arrows from the Eclipse Bow-Blade in the air in akin to Guardiamon's Holy Feather Shot.(This move will do a Unison Attack with EmperorGreymon's Dragonfire Crossbow)
Mirror Force (ミラーフォース): Releases a barrier from the Mirror of Truth shield on his left gauntlet.
Angel Ring (エンジェリング): Rapidly spins the Eclipse Bow-Blade in front of him or slices, which damage evil Digimon while deflecting any incoming projectiles.
Heavenly Light (天の光): Summons rays of light that will surround the him and deal minor damage to any nearby foes.
Metatronmon By combining the Fractal Code gathered by the DigiDestined, Michael can became Metatronmon. He obtains the power to become Metatronmon during the final battle with Lucemon when he realized that he wasn't alone and wanted to fight beside his friends.
Attacks
Final Judgement: Releases a gold orb into the sky that disperses into asteroids and falls on the opponent.
Arrow of Retribution: Shoots a holy arrow made of celestial energy that purges the darkness in the hearts of the target due to being made from special herbs from Breezy Village.
Sword of the Angels (天使の剣): Creates a sword of light and slashes at the opponent.(This move will do a Unison Attack with Susanoomon's Celestial Blade)
