A questionable Brotherly Affection

Repost of this story/chapter after taking it down. I thought I wouldn't write/post anything ever again. And thought this just wasn't good enough. Reworked it. And it is back up. It is better now at least in my opinion...

Kotori and Mana x Shidou story. Let's start with it. I can't believe I wrote this...

First off the chapters from Mana in Everdark. I won't repost them. If you want to read them they are the Kill chapters in Everdark chapters 20, 21 and 22. They are about her rivalry with Kurumi and a theoretical situation that would be if Kurumi were to actually manage to kill her.

Secondly the Kotori chapters in Everdark are chapter 6 A New Nightmare and 17 Tick Tock die the Clock that are about Kotori killing Kurumi after accidentally killing Shidou in episode 7 or so I believe as Ifrit. The first is out of Kotoris perspective and the second one is more fleshed out out of Kurumis perspective. You should read chapter 6 first though anyway.

So this is a Kotori and Mana story. *Duh. You said that already.* I really wasn't sure how I should actually do it. But I must say. It kind of felt awkward to make a story for Mana without including Kotori when I am making a chapter with her without Kurumi in it. So yes now there is this a bit weird? combination here. I wanted to make a big brother chapter for Kotori and a big brother chapter for Mana (I first accidentally wrote Kotori twice here.) so yes... It would just be a bit weird doing it exclusively for one of them. I will go similar to with Kaguya and Yuzuru and doing a general first chapter and then splitting them up individually. So yes this first chapter is a combination chapter of both the second will be either for Kotori or Mana and the third one will be the corresponding other. As is with Kaguya and Yuzuru.

By the way this chapter took a damn long time to make... Like really long. The amount I threw out does in no way reflect how much effort was put into this... I posted Silverlights 3 yesterday and this one today. I usually like to only upload 2 each week if possible since lately. I will save the Rio Reincarnation 5 for next week. Some more cleaning that has to be done and adding stuff... I have to see about that...

Also then I will have the next plans update. Which will actually be a bit interesting this time around... I hope you will too.

There certainly is a connection

One that transcends the one by Blood

What defines a big brother and a little sister

They can be related by blood or just be in name alone

One of us is the bloodrelated little sister

And the other one is the adopted

Or better said Onii-chan was adopted into the family

And they live together

And that is cool and all

So should I feel inferior to them?

Because we don't share the same name nor live together?

No I shouldn't

But just because I am bloodrelated I am not superior either

...

Do I have to share my Onii-chan with that girl?

She does claim to be his little sister

But even if that is true

He has been adopted by my family a long time ago

Does that make me superior to her?

No, I don't think so

It would be wrong to think so

Certainly

And she is not superior to me either

We both share the same bond with Shidou

We are equal to him

The bond of the little sister

...

Since we share the same bond and the same burden

We should accept that we can't be split

Although Shidou hasn't known that he had a little sister since just shortly

It does not seem that he likes her less than me

He shows us both the same affection

The affection of a big brother

We share a similar bond

We three are bound by something that is more than a normal bond

None of us would want this bond with him to be broken

None of us would want their big brother to be hurt

We might fight once in a while about this

But we should settle our differences when it comes to him

Instead we should work together

And help him no matter whose side he takes

He will always treat us equally

That is no question

As to who he loves...

After all in the end there are so many who like him...

Who are we to judge about who he ends up with?

In Kotori's eyes preferably EVERYONE

Although Kurumi is kind of someone we should exclude in this equation

Although there is use in her getting too involved

It would probably be...

Well...

Kind of bad...

But...

When Kurumi is not ta threat to others

That would actually be very good

She is one very strong ally

Well do what...

It won't be one of us that he ends together with him in the end

Someday he will have to decide who to side with in the end

Or die trying

Because he is probably going to get killed by all the other girls

Kotori always seems to throw some sideways double meaning glances at him

Which is why she stays sceptical and hostile about each

And every

Girl he gets involved with

Something tells me that she and Shidou have the wrong "jobs" sometimes

But the bond that we three share shouldn't be shattered

It should always be there

The best would be to protect him

When one can't be there for him the other should be allowed to

We both share the responsibility of being his little sister

A little sister's responsibility to protect her older brother

Kotori has shown this by being by his side everyday and as his commander

Mana has shown this by protecting him when he needed her the most

Against Kurumi as well as DEM Industries

In the times that Kotori was not able to

And helping him when he is in need

Well that happens more often than not but what can you do...

So is his life...

Sure it is a struggle

So is life everyday

And being a little sister is even harder

There is nothing you can do about it

We have to set aside our differences

Takamiya Mana and Itsuka Kotori

We promise to protect Itsuka Shidou no matter what

We must protect him with all we have
