Timeline and History of Code Geass ALPHA 121
The official name of this Alternate Universe is called Code Geass Alpha 121.
Prior to the First World War, there were many skirmishes between many different nations and major empires in the 20th Century. However, it was not until the 1940s that a major conflict created repercussions and influences across the entire world of Code Geass Alpha 121 for decades to come.
World War I lasted from 1944 to 1950. Many nations collapsed and had to merge with their neighboring countries to form a single united nation. This massive war dragged on for over 6 devastating years and swung from side to side violently. When the war finally ended on September 2nd, 1950, the total casualties number across the world was over 80 million deaths, which was around 3.5% of the world population of Code Geass ALPHA 121. The Britannian Empire and the Chinese Empire were the two remaining empires after the war.
It was during and after the First World War that many advanced technologies were introduced into the battlefield, such as tanks, mobile artilleries, chemical weapons, stealth or supersonic reconnaissance planes, advanced radar systems, encrypted communication systems, the Internet, GPS, etc. The most important invention that came after the global conflict was nuclear power. Although the scientists were aware of its destructive capabilities, most nations (aside from the Britannian Empire and Russian Federation) haven't fully weaponized nuclear fission yet.
The history of the Imperial Family is rife with deceit and murder, climbing their way to the top, walking through the bloody path to be the rightful Emperor or Empress. Prince Charles and Prince Victor were the victims of this as they witnessed their parents' death caused by the struggle for the Imperial Throne. Before his death, their father told his two sons of his dreams of changing the Empire from within. He wished to change the Empire for the better, build a better nation that serve the people and focus on the betterment of the commoners, instead of a nation that always benefits the upper class within society.
The two brothers took their late father's last words at heart, and so they grew, fighting their way to the throne and gaining power and gaining supporters until they succeeded in their quest in becoming rightful rulers. However, there was no victory without sacrifices. Their efforts to change the country eventually cost Victor's life when the opposing nobles tried to assassinate Charles but Victor took the bullet for Charles to save his life. Victor's last words to his brother were: "Fulfill Father's dreams, Charles!"
Once Charles became the Emperor, he began massive changes. During his coronation, Charles stated the following with his speech: "We may not have been born as equals in life. Some men are born with more than others. But at the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you are a king, a noble or a common man. We are all citizens of this great empire. An empire toppled by its enemies can rebuild and rise again. But one which crumbles from within? That's DEAD… Forever. And THAT is exactly what is happening to our empire. Even as we speak, the gap between the rich and poor grows wider and wider. Every day, commoners grow more frustrated and enraged with class discrimination while the upper classes enjoy their undeserving privileges, grow more arrogant, and fight each other for their own selfish gains, instead of the betterment of our nation. I declare all of that will end from TODAY onward. We will build a new nation, one that is built upon a new kind of freedom – and that government of the people, by the people, for the people. We will build an Empire that shall prosper, thrive and endure for a thousand years on this Earth."
This speech was later known as the Birth of a New Empire to future generations for many centuries to come. Charles's speech riled up most of the country's population who consisted of mostly commoners. At the same time, it also made many corrupt nobles and officials his enemies. Charles began to build the entire nation and made massive reforms using this speech, or rather, a declaration as the foundation of a New Empire, renaming the country the United Empire of Britannia.
His government brought down corruption, rooted corrupt nobles and officials, forbid class discrimination, placed heavy punishments on those whose crimes could potentially ruin the lives of many people at the same time (such as mass murder, corruption, fraud, scam, etc.), and abolished the Number-Area Government System. The new Britannian Government also placed heavy emphasis on science and education to further improve the lives of every citizen. That means education and healthcare were completely free for all citizens regardless of their social status. At the same time, they also worked on advanced military technologies to modernize the Britannian Military and counter the growing threat posed by the Middle East Federation and Chinese Empire.
The changes took many years to complete while there was strong resistance from the opposition along the way. After over ten years of reformation, the Democratic Britannian Empire became a completely different nation. Charles and his government ensured every generation of the Empire was raised on the foundational morals of the following concepts: Family, Duty, Honor, Wisdom, and Strength. They, or rather Charles, tried their best to teach everyone to love their family and the people around them first, fulfill their duty as the citizens of the Britannian Empire, follow a strict code of honor throughout one's life, develop their own wisdom, and finally, gain the necessary strength to support all of the above.
With the abolishment of the Number-Area System, former colonies regained their former names and national pride. Although they were still part of the Empire at large, they were allowed to use their old languages but English remained a mandatory language for all citizens. They were also allowed to practice their own customs and cultures as long as they were approved by the Britannian Government. The reason many colonies agreed to remain as part of the Britannian Empire was mainly because of Charles's tax policies which greatly reduced taxes on both aristocrats and commoners. As long as these colonies contributed to the development and betterment of the greater empire, they were allowed lenient policies and a self-governing system. All of this is thanks to Charles's belief: A rich and happy population will make the country rich and happy. Thanks to his tax policies and free market laws, many individuals quickly became successful entrepreneurs and businessmen.
In early 2028, Britannian scientists began working on alternative energy sources to reduce the heavy dependence on Sakuradite of the empire and other nations. Eventually, nuclear fusion was discovered by a group of brilliant scientists in secret facilities in Texas. As nuclear power was made more and more efficient, fossil fuels and technologies powered by Sakuradite were slowly being replaced by nuclear-powered technologies.
Britannian Empire's Relations with Other Nations
The United Empire of Britannia also developed somewhat peaceful relations with other nations around the world. When the Unified Russian Federation began developing more new technologies for space colonization in late 20th Century, the Britannian Emperor at the time took the initiative and quickly formed an alliance with Russia instead of competing with this superpower like his predecessors. In late 1960s, the Britannian Empire and Russian Federation were already competing in the space race but the Empire was behind the Russians due to the small conflicts they fought and the rebellions they had to suppress across their colonies.
On July 15th, 1968, Russian Federation landed the first man on the Moon. Not wanting to be outdone, the Britannian Empire sent numerous missions to the Moon as well, becoming the first nation to build permanent settlements on Luna. They were followed shortly after by Russia, European Republic, India, and China. By early 1990s, there were dozens of small cities on Luna, with Britannian Empire having the largest and most numerous colonies on the Moon.
In late 1990s, the world's superpowers began sending unmanned missions to Mars to prepare for an eventual colonization of the Red Planet. Despite harboring some levels of animosity toward each other, Russia, Britannia, China, and European Republic officially signed the Washington Treaty, consolidating the cooperation between the four major superpowers in space colonization. The treaty also delved further into various aspects regarding space colonization and potential space warfare. The Washington Treaty was signed on October 10th, 1995 and officially marked the beginning of a new age for Humanity as a species. With this treaty, more and more nations began investing space colonization and Humanity established more and more colonies on other celestial bodies within Sol.
Aside from Russia and India, Britannia also established friendly relations with many nations in the Middle East and Africa as well as the economically developing Japan, long-term trading agreements with the ever-neutral Australia, and even managed to reduce hostilities with the United Republic of Europia. Meanwhile, the Britannian Military developed more and more advanced technology to counter the growing dominion of the Divine Empire of China as the Chinese Empire began to display clear hostilities with Britannia, Japan, and Russia in the Pacific Region. In late 2010s, the Chinese Empire began to claim its sovereignty over the South East Asia Sea and the Sea of Japan to openly challenge the three nations.
Second World War (2028–2032)
In early 2028, tensions between the powers within the Pacific reached a boiling point when China launched a massive invasion on the Japanese Islands with the intention of turning Japan into another of its colony and claiming the country's massive deposit of Sakuradite for themselves. At the same time, they also invaded the Southeast Asian Protectorate and Australia from space to further stress the Allied Front and possibly, turn these nations into its colonies.
On January 17, 2028, over 850,000 Chinese troops crossed the Sea of Japan, invaded the Japanese Islands from three directions simultaneously and completely overwhelmed the Japan Self Defense Force with sheer number. The JSDF soldiers fought bravely but they were eventually overwhelmed after two weeks of brutal fighting. Chinese forces attacked using their armored mobile suits and overran the Japanese forces' infantry and armored vehicles.
During the invasion of Australia on January 18th, 2028, Chinese forces used their newly developed spaceships to carry and deploy thousands of troops on various locations across the Australian mainland. The reason the Australians, as well as the rest of the world, were caught by surprise was because of how unprecedented this tactic was. Fortunately, Britannia and Russia were ready so they deployed their own forces to help defend the beleaguered nation. Almost at the same time as their invasion of Australia, the Chinese invaded the Southeast Asian Protectorate and tried to annex the entire region into its territories. The Chinese forces that invaded the SAP numbered at around 400,000 whereas the forces that invaded Australia was only around 200,000 troops.
After overcoming their shock and surprise, the rest of the world started taking actions to assist the two beleaguered nations. Britannia, Russia, and United Republic of Europia agreed that China must be stopped and form the Allied Front, spearheaded by the Britannian Military.
In the Second World War, there were two sides in the conflict:
Allied Front: The Allied powers include the three major powers – the United Empire of Britannia, the Unified Federation of Russia, and United Republic of Europia. Other nations include the Southeast Asian Protectorate, Republic of India, New Republic of Japan, and the Commonwealth of Australia.
Axis Front: The Axis powers include the three major powers – Divine Empire of China, Middle East Federation, United States of North Africa, United Republics of Central Africa, and Republic of South Africa.
In the Code Geass Alpha 121 Universe, exoskeleton technology is significant more advanced than that of the real world. In late 2020s, most nations employ Amplified Mobility Platforms or AMP suits in various industries to assist human workers and automatic machinery. They play an extremely crucial role in Humanity's space colonization in this period. Many AMPs were utilized to build the Luna Colony. Because of the AMP suit's weaknesses, most countries' militaries deem them too impractical and expensive to be used in warfare.
However, Britannia, Russia, and China disagreed with this notion and took one step further. They weaponized the AMPs and started testing their combat effectiveness, in secret of course. Thanks to their advanced stealth recon planes and drones, the Britannian Empire were able to learn of the other countries' intentions in weaponizing these suits for warfare. While the other two simply upgraded the AMPs and strapped more weapons onto them, the Britannians outperformed them and built even more powerful war machines: Knightmare Frame or Knightmare for short.
Battles fought in the Second World War were far more brutal than those of the First World War because of the advanced technologies that both sides brought into the war. The Chinese forces made good use of hypersonic cruise missiles and powerful naval artilleries to destroy strategic targets from extremely long ranges. They also managed to build large trans-orbital troop transport ships to ferry large amounts of troops and equipment to the battlefields in both Japan and Australia. On the ground, they made effective use of Amplified Mobility Platforms or AMPs to devastate conventional infantry since it takes anti-tank weaponry to take down these AMPs. Each AMP is over 4 meters tall. The Chinese basically employed Blitzkrieg (German for "Lighting War") in the Pacific and Oceania Theaters. It was something that the Southeast Asian, Australian and Japanese militaries were completely unprepared for.
As soon as the invasion of the two nations began, the Allied Powers began organizing their militaries to help Japan and Australia repel the Chinese invaders. When the Allied Forces were being mobilized to counter-attack the Chinese in Japan and Australia, Chinese allied forces from the MEF (Middle East Federation) and USNA (United States of North Africa) attacked the Allies in Eurasian Continent to prevent European, Russian, and Indian militaries from helping the beleaguered nations. Meanwhile, the URCA (United Republic of Central Africa) and RSA (Republic of South Africa) were the main suppliers to fuel the Axis Powers' war efforts. As a result, the Britannian Armed Forces had to stretch itself thin in helping its allies in this war.
Just like how the Russian and Chinese militaries revealed their latest weapons of war (mostly in the forms of warships, AMPs, and fighter jets), the Britannians decided to one-up them and put their Knightmare Frames in full display and deploy them into battle. Thanks to their mobility, speed, armor, as well as advanced weaponry and equipment, the Britannian Knightmares decimated the Chinese AMPs, armored vehicles, and tanks in the thousands. During combat, it took at least a dozen AMPs or tanks ganging up on one single Knightmare to take it down. This fact alone should speak volumes about the capabilities of the Britannian Military.
Thanks to the Britannian Knightmares, tanks, artilleries, fighter jets, and space warships, the Allied Forces were able to defend their cities and slowly push back against the seemingly endless hordes of Axis Powers in the Eurasia Continent. Still, it took the Allied Forces over seven months of intense fighting to achieve this feat. During that period, the Allied Powers sent reinforcements and supplies to assist Japan and Australia whenever possible. However, it was still mostly the Britannian Military who did most of the fighting since the other Allied Powers were tied up in their own territories due to the Axis Powers' invasion.
Although the Russians did deploy large number of advanced AMPs in the battlefields, their main power lies with their huge number of surface warships, tanks, and artilleries. Since the United Republic of European military didn't have as many AMPs as the Russians and Indians, they made good use of their large numbers of fighter craft, transport craft, bombers, and surface navy carriers. Thanks to their strategic advantage, the Indian military was able to provide logistics and supplies for the Allied Forces in the war efforts. At the same time, they deployed their AMPs and Special Forces to eliminate high value targets of the Axis Powers. Finally, the Britannians had the largest and most advanced military of all the Allied Powers so they organized and did the heavy lifting throughout the war.
The space-capable warships unveiled by the Britannian Space Force gave the Allies an immense advantage in the Second World War. However, because these ships weren't fully tested in combat effectiveness and their crews were still inexperienced, the Allies still suffered large casualties during initial engagements.
On May 21, 2031, the Allies launched a massive amphibious assault on Japan to completely push the Chinese occupation forces out of the country. The Allies' invasion force was led by the Britannians. Using their advanced flying warships and Knightmare Frames, the Britannian Military along with Russian ground and air forces was able to drive the Chinese forces out of Japan after three whole months of intense and brutal fighting. The Allies did the same in Australia but given the country's size, it took them much longer. In December 2031, both Japan and Australia were completely liberated by the Allied Powers.
As they were losing more and more ground, the Chinese Empire and the other Axis Powers fortified their borders and braced for a potential largest invasion in history. On March 10, 2032, the Allies launched an invasion on dozens of major cities of Chinese mainland and Middle Easter Federation. Although the Allies suffered great casualties, they successfully occupied most of them. However, this caused the Axis powers to become desperate and resort to weapons of mass destruction. Seeing this, the Russians and Britannians decided to drop two Hydrogen bombs on the Chinese Empire to completely cripple their will to fight.
On August 8, 2032, Russian bombers dropped one bomb on Shenzhen and another on Wuhan, each city had a population of over 10 million. The result was devastating as an explosion of over 10.5 megatons of TNT destroyed almost a quarter of the cities, killing 3.5 million people instantly. Since the cities were evacuated beforehand, the actual casualties were lower than the estimates. Nevertheless, it did have the desired effect and scared the whole world. When the Russians and Britannians announced that they had more of these bombs and that they would drop more if the Axis didn't surrender, the Chinese Emperor immediately surrendered and so did their Axis allies.
Post Second World War (2028–2032)
After World War II (2028–2032) officially ended on August 12th, 2032, the world began to rebuild itself from the devastation caused by war. The total casualties of this global conflict was around 180 million people, both civilian and military. Because of its level of devastation and sheer number of casualties, future generations often referred to it as the Apocalypse War. Seeing its destructive potential, every major power began building their own nuclear arsenal to prevent a potential nuclear preemptive strike from another major power. Since the Britannian Empire already knew about the power of nuclear fusion early on, they have kept a large stockpile of nuclear weapons in reserve. They even managed to develop strategic mini nuclear warheads which could be launched from Knightmare Frames.
During World War II (2028–2032), the Britannian Space Force proved to be an invaluable asset in combat. It has become especially more important as the Luna Colony was developed further and further. After the War, the UFR (Unified Federation of Russia), URE (United Republic of Europia), and the United Republic of India began to build their own dedicated Space Forces. Although Japan and Australia lacked essential resources to build their own Space Forces, they had extremely positive relations with the Democratic Britannian Empire. In exchange for protection from space and defense of their orbital borders, Japan and Australia provided the Britannian Empire with resources, manpower, and permission for building spaceports, shipyards, and refit stations in their airspaces. As a result, the Britannian Empire have the largest Space Forces on Earth.
In June 2036, the Britannian Space Force was fully developed into a dedicated branch of the Britannian Armed Forces and renamed into the "Britannian Space Navy". This unique branch is a combination of the Britannian Air Force and Surface Navy. Additionally, the Imperial Marine Branch which was formed before World War I (1944–1950) is incorporated into the Britannian Space Navy. Its name helps the branch differentiates itself clearly from the traditional wet navy.

The Foreign Legion Branch was abolished by Charles when he ascended the throne since this branch is where class discrimination is the most prominent and the worst. The Knightmare Frames are incorporated into each branch to serve their intended purposes so they would have specialized equipment and weaponry compatible with their respective branch. Because of how difficult it is to deploy the Knightmares from space, the Britannian Space Navy only has a small number of Knightmares capable of deploying from space. The Air Force already has tens of thousands of hypersonic fighter jets and Knightmares simply cannot keep up with the jets' speed and versatility for obvious reasons anyway. For that matter, the Britannian Air Force is the only branch that doesn't have any Knightmare. Rather, they don't really need them in the first place.
As for the Axis Powers, the Allied Powers occupied their countries for six years respectively to help them rebuild as well as maintain law and order within those countries. Although there were various problems and human rights violation-related crimes, those incidents were dealt with swiftly by the Allied Forces, mainly the Britannian Military since they were the only ones with enough resources for such tasks. After seeing how powerful and effective the Britannian Knightmares were in combat, no one would dare try anything against them.
After paying for an immense amount of war reparations to the afflicted nations, the Chinese Empire almost went bankrupt and its entire economy collapsed, especially when its various crimes against humanity were fully exposed to the rest of the world. When the Allies' occupation finally ended on July 30, 2038, the Chinese Empire was a mere shadow of its former self. As a result, the country had no choice but to reform the entirety of the governmental structure. China was eventually renamed into the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Emperor was replaced with a democratically elected President. The other Axis Powers remained relatively unchanged albeit with smaller militaries than before the War. Their economies began slowly recovering as they traded with other nations around the world.
Unbeknownst to most of the public, the real reason why the Britannians formed a dedicated Space Navy was because of a startling discovery they have made in November 2027: Earth is being watched by an extraterrestrial entity outside the Sol System.
This discovery was made when a telescope in Greenland accidentally found a spatial anomaly 0.7 light-years from Earth. After analyzing the data and energy signatures, the Britannian scientists determined that this anomaly wasn't natural but was artificial in nature, suggesting that it was some kind of an alien vessel and a massive one at that. The alien vessel was estimated to be at least several kilometers long. When the Russians and Europeans made the same discovery some years later, the Britannians agreed to work together in building up Humanity's defense against a potential alien invasion. To avoid mass panic and hysteria, the major world powers agreed to keep this under wraps for the moment and continue keeping a close watch on this mysterious alien observer until further development.
Several decades following the Second World War, the Human civilization of Code Geass ALPHA 121 became more and more advanced and further expanded their colonization of Sol System. Thanks to nuclear fusion, the Human ships of ALPHA 121 are much more advanced than that of Earth's main timeline. In early 2020s, Britannia, Russia, and India began sending exploration ships to Mars using the data they had previously gathered from numerous unmanned missions in early 2000s. On November 10th, 2034, the first Humans set foot on Mars and they began building a self-sustainable colony on the Red Planet. The colony was built with the contributions of almost every nation on Earth so it was quickly finished. At the same time, more colony ships were sent to other celestial bodies in Sol System.
On December 5, 2037, Charles made a proposition with the other heads of state to establish a single unified front on space colonization during the annual World Assembly in New York. He wished to form an organization that oversees and manages all matters of Humanity's colonization of the Sol System. At first, former Axis Powers like the MEF and African powers were reluctant to this idea since they were still recovering from the Great War. However, the Russians and Europeans revealed discreetly the world-shattering discovery they made many years prior. Their claim was backed by the Japanese, Australian,s and Indians as they were made aware of this shortly after the Great War. Eventually, the Chinese, Middle East Federation, and African Powers agreed to form this organization as long as they got significant benefits from it.
On January 30, 2038, the United Assembly of Terra was created to manage everything regarding space colonization and warfare. The Assembly wasn't led by a single individual but was overseen by the Terra Security Council. The members of the Council were the individual heads of state on Earth. It is essentially the central government that administrates over Earth and all of her colonies within Sol System. At the time, all world leaders agreed to only reveal the discovery of aliens to the general public after Humanity finished making proper preparations and building developed colonies within Sol System.
Because Humanity hasn't had a large military presence in space yet, the defense of the colonies falls on the space naval forces of Britannia, Russia, and India. As a result, the fleets fall under the temporary command of the Britannian Navy since they have the largest space navy as of now. In June 2080, the Britannian Space Navy currently has over 600 warships, the Russian Space Navy has 480 warships, and the Indian Space Navy has around 450 warships. The Capital of the United Assembly of Terra is placed in Melbourne, Australia thanks to its strategic location in terms of space warfare.
After some time of peace and prosperity, a certain development was made on May 7, 2047. The massive alien vessel moved from its original observation post and disappeared into an artificial wormhole. This development was extremely alarming to the world governments since it meant that whoever was watching Humanity was planning something. The world feared that this unidentified vessel was a prelude to an alien invasion. For that matter, every nation on Earth began building up their space navies, and nuclear arsenal, and develop more advanced technologies in preparation for whatever plan the aliens might have for Humanity.
It was due to this development that world leaders decided to reinforce Humanity's space frontiers even more by building more warships, orbital military stations, shipyards on Moon and Mars, and training soldiers for space warfare. It was also because of this development that the idea of Strategic Deployment Bases was born. These bases serve as emergency headquarters and rapid deployment platforms for quick reaction forces around the world.
Koslovia War (2117–2121) in ALPHA 121
On February 16, 2116, the Free State of Koslovia (FSK) declared independence from Earth. They are a self-proclaim nation state which arose from the Martian City of New Grozny – one of the Russian colonies in Mars's Southern Hemisphere. They were led by the neo-communist hardliner, Chancellor Vladimir Koslovic, and declared the Britannian Empire as their biggest enemy because of their alliance with the supposedly "Capitalist Dogs", the derogatory term they used to refer to modern Russians. Because of the distance between Earth and Mars, this rouge state grew quickly and soon encompassed the entire Southern Hemisphere of Mars.
The United Assembly of Terra and by extension, all member nations on Earth, refused to accept the FSK's independence and declared them a rouge state. Enraged by the UAT's decisions, the FSK declared war on every nation on Earth. Before their declaration of war, they began by targeting major cities of member nations of the United Assembly of Terra. On March 8, 2117, the FSK used hundreds of disguised cargo ships armed with fusion warheads to bomb those cities. Because many nations lacked the proper infrastructure for dedicated space defense, these attacks killed tens of millions of people across the world. The Britannian Empire alone lost three cities to these attacks alone. Empress Marianne, Charles's first wife, lost her life when Vancouver, the city she was fighting in at the time, was bombed by a nuclear warhead. Lelouch and Nunnally boarded a shuttle before her so they survived the attack. However, Lelouch was the one who witnessed the attack in which half of Vancouver was completely destroyed in the nuclear fire.
After the declaration of war was given, they demanded the UAT to be disbanded and accept the independence of the FSK. If their demands were not met, they would continue bombing the cities on Earth. They have also effectively took almost the entirety of Mars hostage. Although the afflicted nations on Earth wished to retaliate, they faced the risks of destroying their colonies on the Red Planet. It was also for this reason why the FSK had managed to grow so powerful in such a short time.
The United Assembly of Terra knew that if they accepted the FSK's independence and allowed the rouge state to grow more powerful, there would certainly be more rogue nations in the future and cause even more death and destruction to Humanity, something that they could not afford given the existence of aliens. For that matter, all member nations of the United Assembly of Terra agreed to wipe out this rogue state once and for all, for the sake of Humanity. On the surface, they agreed to negotiate with the FCSK through prolonged negotiations. In reality, they engaged in massive interplanetary campaigns to cripple the FSK little by little.
On March 14, 2117, the Britannian Empire, Russian Federation, and United Europe officially declared war on the Free State of Koslovia (FSK) because of their brazen attacks on Earth and off-world colonies, followed by Japan, India, Australia, and China. This conflict was later known as the Koslovia War and lasted over four years.
The Koslovia War was essentially a long series of interplanetary campaigns that took place on Mars, Earth, Titan, Europa, Luna, and dozens of smaller colonies in the Asteroid Belt. For this conflict, the United Assembly of Terra temporarily established the United Earth Defense Force, a temporary united military of Earth. The command of this military organization was called the Trinity Command, established by the combination of three major Space Navies of the Britannian Empire and Russian Federation, and the Indian Republic.
Because this was the first Interplanetary War that both sides fought, both sides suffered massive casualties due to inexperience and other challenges. After over three years of brutal conflict, the War finally ended when Cerberus Special Forces of the Britannian Empire managed to locate the FSK's hidden bunkers across Sol System and assassinate Vladimir Koslov and all of his high-ranking lieutenants and generals. When there was no one left to lead them, the Free State of Koslovia surrendered to the United Earth Defense Force with the signing of the Europa Treaty on August 10, 2121, bringing an official end to the Koslovia War.
The Koslovia War devastated several colonies on Luna, Mars, and Europa, as well as many regions on Earth. Because of its sheer scale, the Koslovia War is often referred to as the Interplanetary War. Nations began to rebuild their colonies and slowly recovered their economies. The United Earth Defense Force remained as the military of the United Assembly of Terra to keep an eye on remnants of the FSK hiding across the Sol System. Although the defense of Earth's colonies in Sol lies with the UEDF, the Space Navies of sovereign nations on Earth still retain their power and command over their own forces within Sol System.
