Chapter 1
In the beginning, when the world was still molding its form, the mighty Arceus, creator of all, shaped a sprawling land filled with diverse landscapes and boundless wonders. This majestic land, known as the United Region, was gifted by Arceus to a singular, Chosen One, a guardian meant to uphold harmony and balance. Under the Chosen One's watch, the United Region thrived, a utopia where humans and Pokémon coexisted in unparalleled peace.
However, as centuries unwound, so too did the unity of the region. The descendants of the Chosen One, tasked with maintaining the legacy, found themselves embroiled in growing discord. Ambition and greed seeped into the hearts of many, fracturing the land into eighteen kingdoms, each swearing allegiance to a different Pokémon type. As the kingdoms vied for power, the direct descendant of the Chosen One was betrayed and mercilessly slain, his demise marking the dawn of an era of corruption and strife. His surviving family, bearing the burden of a fallen legacy, fled the United Region to escape the same cruel fate.
These exiles sought refuge in the distant, serene region of Kanto, where they lived in anonymity, their once-great lineage fading into the shadows of history. Generations passed, each one further from the glory and tragedy of the past, until the line came to a humble boy named Ash Ketchum. Unaware of his ancient heritage, Ash's life in the small town of Pallet was simple, his dreams no grander than becoming a Pokémon Master. Yet, the blood of the Chosen One coursed through his veins, a dormant legacy waiting to awaken.
"We're finally home, Pikachu!" Ash exclaims, his eyes sparkling with the thrill of returning home after completing his studies at the prestigious Uva Academy in the Paldea Region. Armed with his graduation degree, Ash and Pikachu race each other with unrestrained joy, their laughter echoing through the familiar streets they know so well.
Despite his 18 years, Ash's youthful exuberance and childlike wonder remain untouched, evident in every playful step he takes alongside Pikachu. As they approach their house, the comforting sight of Mimey, the loyal Mr. Mime, greets them. Mimey, ever vigilant, pauses from sweeping to listen as a familiar yell fills the air, "Mimey!"
With a joyful twirl, Mimey rushes towards Ash and Pikachu, his invisible barriers of communication buzzing with excitement at their return. He wastes no time darting into the house, his gestures animated as he relays the good news to Delia, Ash's ever-supportive mother.
Entering the cozy abode, Ash's eyes light up as he embraces Mimey warmly. "Mimey, it's fantastic to see you again."
Mimey reciprocates the embrace, his movements conveying a sense of deep affection for his trainer. Just then, Delia Ketchum, a pillar of warmth and love, emerges from the kitchen. "Welcome back, Ash."
"I'm home, Mom." Ash's voice carries a mix of relief and happiness as he closes the distance between them, enveloping Delia in a heartfelt embrace that speaks volumes of the bond they share.
"Look at you, a graduate of the Uva Academy! I'm bursting with pride," Delia beams, her eyes glowing with maternal affection.
"Yeah, Paldea was a blast, especially with all the friendly teachers," Ash replies, a hint of nostalgia in his voice.
Promptly, Delia directs him to freshen up while she prepares a spread of snacks and a pot of steaming tea for her son. Ash wastes no time darting to his room, a space adorned with memories captured in trophies amassed since he was a ten-year-old Pokémon enthusiast. Among them stands the prestigious World Championships Trophy, a testament to his journey as the world's strongest trainer, triumphing over even the formidable Leon.
After a quick change of clothes, Ash descends the stairs in a flurry, Pikachu at his heels, eager for the promised treats. As they indulge in the snacks, Delia inquires, "Now that you're back home, what's next on your agenda?"
Taking a contemplative sip of tea, Ash muses, "I thought I might take a break here at home before diving into another adventure. It's been a while since I've had this kind of downtime, after all." His eyes glint with a mix of relaxation and anticipation, hinting at the restless spirit of a seasoned explorer.
"I see..." Delia's smile carries a hint of curiosity as she prepares to settle down.
However, their tranquility is interrupted by the doorbell, prompting a moment of collective confusion. Delia, ever the hostess, decides to answer the door, only to be greeted by a young girl whose resemblance to Ash is uncanny. The girl kneels before Delia, her voice filled with emotion. "Mother, I've finally found you."
Caught off guard, Delia's expression shifts to one of bewilderment. "Mother? I'm sorry, but do I know you?"
Undeterred, the girl produces a small bottle and entreats, "Mother, open this bottle, and your memories will return to you."
Intrigued yet cautious, Delia gazes at the bottle before cautiously uncorking it. As memories flood her mind like a rushing river, her eyes widen in realization. After a moment of silent recollection, she embraces the girl, her voice tinged with disbelief. "Golly... is that really you?"
"Yes, Mother," Golly confirms, returning her mother's embrace with heartfelt warmth. "I have returned because it's time."
Delia's eyes betray a flicker of apprehension as she responds, "Your brother Ash is already inside. Please, come in."
As Golly and Delia step into the dining room, they find Ash just finishing a plate of cookies. Ash looks up with curiosity and asks, "Mom? Who is she?"
Taking a deep breath, Delia's expression turns somber. "Ash, I have some difficult news to share with you. It's important, and it's tied to the path you're meant to follow."
"The path I'm meant to follow?" Ash echoes, his confusion mirrored by Pikachu's puzzled expression.
With a gentle smile, Golly steps forward. "I'm pleased to finally meet you, Brother. My name is Golly Ketchum, and I am your twin sister."
"Twin sister?" Ash's eyes widen in disbelief as he looks between Golly and his mother, his mind racing to process this newfound information.
"Yes, Ash. In addition to Golly here, you have four more siblings," Delia reveals, her tone carrying a hint of regret. "I should have told you the story of our family sooner."
Suddenly, Delia's eyes begin to glow, and to Ash's astonishment, he feels himself being lifted into the sky, his view expanding to encompass the entire region below. "Mom? What's happening?" he gasps.
"Ash, welcome to the United Region," Delia explains as they hover above the land, a breathtaking panorama unfolding below them. "This region stands independent from the Pokemon League Association. It's a utopia where humans and Pokemon coexist harmoniously. Our ancestor, Alpha Ketchum, was the first king, chosen by Arceus to uphold peace and prosperity. This responsibility has been passed down through generations."
Ash watches in awe as he sees people and Pokemon living in harmony, engaging in friendly battles and cooperative endeavors. However, the scene abruptly shifts, and Ash's heart sinks as he witnesses the once-idyllic landscape engulfed in chaos. Cannons fly through the air, screams of war pierce the tranquility, and the paradise rapidly deteriorates into a scene of carnage and despair.
"As time went on, the United Region fractured into 18 kingdoms," Delia continues, her voice tinged with sadness. "Driven by greed and the thirst for power, they assassinated the king, shattering the unity that once defined our land. The title 'United Kingdom' has become a hollow shell, as the kingdoms vie for dominance and the people suffer."
The scene shifts dramatically to the Rota Kingdom, and Ash's breath catches in his throat. "This is the Rota Kingdom..."
"Yes, Rota Kingdom has become the refuge for the descendants of the murdered king," Delia explains somberly. "Despite the chaos among the other kingdoms, they sometimes band together solely to wage war on Rota Kingdom. They fear that one day, the king's rightful heir will return to reclaim control of the United Region. And that war... it culminated in victory, but at a great cost, with Sir Aaron making the ultimate sacrifice."
"I remember that part..." Ash murmurs, his mind flashing back to his previous encounters in Rota Kingdom.
"But the story isn't finished," Golly interjects, her expression grave. "The legacy of the United Kingdom runs deep in our blood, with the hope that one day we will reclaim what is rightfully ours. Now, we must discuss what befell our father."
"Our father?" Ash's eyes widen in astonishment.
"Adam, my beloved, was not only a great leader but also a passionate Pokemon battler," Delia continues, her voice tinged with sorrowful reminiscence. "We met in Rota Kingdom, fell in love, and married. Your father was once the King of Rota... until that fateful day..."
"What happened on that day?" Ash asks, his confusion mounting.
Golly's expression darkens. "A prophecy reached the ears of the United Region's rulers. It spoke of a child born from ashes who would bring about the downfall of the 18 kingdoms, ushering in a new era of power and prosperity. Terrified of losing their thrones, the kings and queens conspired to eliminate this child... and that child..."
"It was me?" Ash's voice trembles with realization, the weight of destiny bearing down on his young shoulders.
Ash's breath catches as the weight of his destiny sinks in. "It was me..." His voice wavers, grappling with the enormity of the revelation.
"Yes... to protect us, Adam erased my memories and entrusted me with taking you far from Rota. We chose Pallet Town because Professor Oak could offer refuge," Delia explains, her voice tinged with a mixture of sorrow and determination. "It was an agonizing choice, leaving behind my other five children, including Golly, to ensure your safety."
Golly interjects, her eyes reflecting a mix of determination and sorrow. "Mark, Minami, Insey, and Trenor were taken to different regions, I was given a bottle containing Mom's memories. Upon Dad's passing, it became my mission to reunite with Mother and restore her memories. That's also when we'll unite and reclaim the United Region, seeking justice for our father."
The news hits Ash like a physical blow, the pain of losing his father overwhelming him. Delia struggles to contain her emotions, her voice barely steady as she continues, "Golly... how did Adam... did they...?"
Golly nods solemnly, her eyes reflecting the weight of loss and determination. "Mark, Minami, Insey, and Trenor share our grief and anger. They're already on their way to the United Region, waiting for your arrival, Brother, so that together we can fulfill the prophecy and dismantle the corruption of the 18 Kingdoms."
Ash's resolve shines through his clenched fist as he declares, "Mom... I'm going. I will avenge my father and eliminate those who sow terror among people and Pokémon. They won't escape justice."
Delia's eyes glisten with pride and worry. "I know you will, Ash. It's written in the prophecy, after all. But promise me... promise me you and your siblings will stay safe."
"I promise, Mom," Ash vows with determination. "I'll stay alive, and once the kingdoms are dealt with, we'll bring you back to the United Region so we can be reunited."
Turning to Pikachu, whose serious expression mirrors his own, Ash speaks solemnly, "Pikachu... this will be our toughest journey yet. Are you ready for what lies ahead?"
Pikachu nods, his eyes reflecting unwavering loyalty and determination. With a shared understanding, Ash and Golly quickly pack their essentials, ready to embark on a journey fueled by purpose and vengeance. As they leave the house, the weight of destiny and the echoes of prophecy guide their steps into an uncertain but determined future.
Here is the first chapter of the Prince Ash and Princess Lillie. As you can see, this story is going to be the quest of taking down the corrupted 18 regions. We have Ash's side of the story and Lillie will enter the story not long after. I hope you like this chapter.
