The ship landed in the bay of the giant spaceship that was named, The Pillars of Autumn. Kirby walked off the ship. He looked around. "Oh?" he questioned. Inside the ship he arrived on, the nav computer began beeping. Kirby turned around and walked back into the ship.

"Hello? Hello? Can you hear this recording?" asked a feminine voice.

"Oh?" Kirby questioned.

"Okay. I'm going to assume you can hear this. My name is Cortana. I am the Pillars' AI navigator. If you are listening to this, then the ship is going down. Your mission is to get me off board and prevent me from getting captured by the enemies. To complete this mission, you must reawaken Spartan 117, or as you may know him, the Master Chief."

The Pillars of Autumn began creaking. Then it shook crazily.

"Go forth, hero. Find the Master Chief," Cortana said.

The message was cut off.

"Oh?" Kirby questioned.

Kirby walked back out of the ship. He looked around. In the distance, he noticed something bright and glowing. They looked like flames. He ran towards the flames, to see what was up.

"Oh?" he questioned as he poked his head out into a hall. Throughout the hall, he found multiple Mario puppets. "Wait! No! Please!" yelled a soldier. The puppet did not react and simply threw a fireball into the room. "AH!" screamed the soldier.

Kirby was about to run into the hall when he accidentally pressed on a panel on the wall. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. "Oh, finally. Hey, you're not the soldier I asked for," Cortana said. "Oh?" Kirby questioned once more. "I- I suppose you'll have to do for now. Listen, you must get Master Chief. He'll be able to deal with these… plumbers?" Cortana questioned. Cortana showed Kirby a map on the panel on the wall. "Just follow the trail, and try not to be seen. And do so with haste," Cortana said. Kirby nodded his head. Cortana hid back into the confines of her code.

Kirby, now with determination, knew the path that laid upon him. His mission here: To reawaken the Master Chief.

Meanwhile with Red vs. Blue…

"Nuh-uh," Church said. "Yuh huh," Sarge said. "Yuh huh," Church said. "Nuh-uh," Sarge said. "Sarge, shouldn't we get our base ready?" Simmons asked. "Holy tarnation, you're right Simmons!" said Sarge, "I bet the Blues were distracting me!" "Or maybe you guys were distracting me!" Church yelled. "Maybe we should kill them now," Tex said. "Oh. Yes. Violence," Caboose said.

Each respective team walked backward towards their base. All of them had their guns pointed at the other team. After taking steps, everyone returned to their respective bases.

"Okay, the plan is to decorate the base," Sarge said. "Oh, I know. How about we get some posters? Maybe some recliner seats. Oh, and maybe a bar with tacos," Grif said. "Grif, we don't have the budget for that. Well, maybe we can get the taco bar, but that's it," Simmons said. "Simmons, that's the greatest idea ever. The taco bar," Sarge said. "But I suggested it," Grif said. "Shut up Grif, and let's go get that taco bar," Sarge said. —Yo quiero mis tacos con carne de al pastor (I want my tacos with al pastor meat)- said Lopez.

"Okay team, how are we going to decorate the base for Master Chief?" Church asked. "Oh. Oh. Oh. Pick me," Caboose said. Church sighed, "Caboose, what's your idea?" "We can put dirt. And in the dirt, we can put seeds. And with those seeds, we can grow flowers," Caboose said. "What kind of gay shit is that?" Tucker asked. "Hey, we're all-inclusive, and so I'll put it on this list that I am definitely writing," Church said. "How about some new turrets?" Tex asked. "That's not so bad-" Church said until he was interrupted. "Better idea, a taco stand. I saw one in the middle of the gulch," Tucker said. "Oh, a taco. Give me one with carne asada," Sheila said. "Silly Sheila. You can't eat," Caboose said. "A tank can dream," Sheila said. Church sighed. "Okay, let's go get the taco stand," Church said.

The taco stand stood in the middle of the Gulch. The wind moved. Through the land, one could hear a cowboy standoff song. Team Red and Blue marched toward the Taco Stand.

"So, you're trying to take our taco stand?" Church said. "You're taco stand? This is our taco stand!" exclaimed Sarge. "It's high noon," Tucker said. "It's twelve past three," Simmons said. "Oh shut up!" yelled Tucker. The Red and Blue teams began fighting once more. "My tacos!" Grif yelled as he ran to the taco stand. "Hold up! Those are my tacos!" Sheila said. "No, they're not!" Grif yelled. Sheila pointed her cannon at Grif. "Uh… mercy?" Grif asked.

Meanwhile with Kirby…

Kirby navigated through the Pillars of Autumn. He hid behind walls to make sure he wasn't spotted by any of the Puppet Marios. He happened to be by another panel on the wall. He jumped up and pressed it to get more instructions from Cortana.

"Good. You're getting close. The Chief should be closer, but it looks like you're gonna have to get past those things. In the state you are currently, you'll be destroyed," Cortana said.

Cortana pulled up the map again.

"The armory is there. You're gonna need a weapon, and one for Master Chief too," Cortana said. "Oh," said Kirby. The Autumn began shaking and creaking again. "You don't have much time. Make haste now," Cortana said.

Cortana disappeared back into the panel. Kirby ran through the halls, practically sliding. He was so quiet that the Puppet Marios didn't hear him. Kirby recalled the last words he heard during that fateful day.

"You are our only hope! Fight to live! Live to fight!"

He still didn't know where those words came from, but he knew he couldn't do this alone. He needed the Master Chief's help. So, Kirby stepped forth. He was ready to sneak into the armory that was ahead of him. And then, he tripped. "Oh," he groaned. Kirby stared forward and found that the Mario puppets had their focus on him. "Oh," Kirby said.

There were three Mario puppets, and they all charged at Kirby. They lit up their hands and tossed fire straight at Kirby. Kirby ran forward and slid beneath the fire. Kirby got up close and kicked one of the Mario puppets into a wall. Then he punched another puppet in the stomach, followed by another kick to the final puppet. Then Kirby looked around and found more Mario puppets were heading towards him.

"Oh," he groaned.

Kirby ran through the halls, being followed by the Mario puppets. "AH!" he screamed. The Mario puppets did not react. Not even the slightest He slid down one of the corners. Ahead of him, he could see a weapon, with a crispy, burnt skeleton next to it. No doubt a work of one of the puppets. Kirby began inhaling as he ran and he inhaled the firearm.

Kirby transformed. He had a helmet on him. It was green with a yellow visor. Through the visor, the Mario puppets were outlined in red. Then beside him was another panel where Cortana appeared. "Hm, now you look like a spartan. How about you test out your new skills?" she asked. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. "The figures outlined in red are your targets. Go ahead and shoot your MA5B Assault Rifle," Cortana said. Kirby nodded. He pointed the AR at the Mario puppets. "Poyo," he said, dramatically. When he pulled the trigger, he didn't know how to control it. He began firing everywhere as his plump body couldn't let him focus. "AH!" he screamed. Somehow, in his wild firing, he managed to shoot at the puppets and he took them out. "Well, that's an unconventional approach, but I suppose it worked," Cortana said.

Kirby found another weapon and kicked it along with him. There he found another room. It was sealed shut, and Cortana appeared at a panel next to it. "The Chief should be in here," Cortana said. "Oh," Kirby said. "I'll open it. Simply move the lever on the control panel to release him," Cortana instructed.

The doors opened before Kirby. Kirby walked into the room. There, he saw a pod. Inside it looked like it was frozen cold. Yet, inside the pod laid another soldier, just like the ones Kirby saw in Blood Gulch. He had green armor instead of any red or blue. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. Kirby looked around. He found a control panel with a lever. He pulled the lever down. The pod began creaking. It opened slowly, allowing the white clouds created by the snow to be released.

Kirby looked at the figure that just laid on the pod. Stomping could be heard from outside the room. Kirby turned around. The Mario puppets were heading towards his location. "AH!" he yelled. Kirby held his AR tightly and pointed it at the outside room.

As the Mario puppets began getting into the line of sight, Kirby began shooting the Mario puppets. The Mario puppets were quickly being decimated by Kirby. But soon Kirby realized there were too many. His gun was quickly running out of bullets, and the Mario puppets were still marching towards him. As a last resort, Kirby threw his gun at one of the puppets. "Ah," Kirby said. Kirby got into his fighting stance, ready to face the puppets until suddenly the door closed in front of Mario puppets.

"Oh?" Kirby questioned.

Kirby heard the steps of two loud bangs on the floor behind him. Kirby slowly turned around to see the cause. The Master Chief has reawaken.

Meanwhile with Red vs. Blue…

"Take this Blue!" Sarge yelled as he punched Church. "Hey! This is foul play!" yelled Church. "In war, there is no foul play!" Sarge yelled. "AHH!" Grif screamed as he ran. "These are Sheila's tacos!" Caboose yelled. "AH!" Donut screamed like a girl. – Sheila, te ves hermosa (Sheila, you look beautiful)- Lopez said. "Aw, you can make a tank blush," Sheila said. "What the fuck?" Tucker questioned. "Whatever," Tex said as she punched Grif in the face. "Ow!" Grif yelped.

Sarge grabbed one side of the taco stand and Church grabbed the other side of the taco stand. "These are our tacos!" Sarge yelled. "No! Give it!" Church yelled. "Master Chief will be on our team!" they yelled.

"Wait!" Donut yelled, "Are we both just trying to get the taco stand to impress Master Chief?" "Yes, that's the whole reason for the taco stand," Sarge said. "You mean our taco stand?" Church asked. "No, this is ours'," Sarge said. "Are we going to explain why there's a random taco stand in the middle of the gulch?" Simmons asked. "No," Sarge said. "Oh, oh, Caboose has an idea," Caboose said. Church sighed, "What's your idea Caboose?" "Why don't we work with the Reds?" Caboose asked. "WHAT!?" Team Blue yelled. "Oh, here's an idea. Why don't we work with the Blues?" Donut asked. "WHAT?!" Team Red yelled. "In no lifetime will I ever work with the Blues! Not in this universe! Not in another!" Sarge yelled. "Yeah! The Reds suck!" Church yelled. "Yeah, but think about it. We both get tacos, and we can build a base around the taco stand so that the both of us can impress Master Chief," Donut said. "Yes, and we get donuts, uh, I mean tacos," Caboose said. — La porcentaje de ese plan sirviendo es 85% (The percentage of that plan working is 85%)- said Lopez. "Yes, my AI also thinks there's an 85% chance of that plan working," Sheila said. "Psst, Sarge," Simmons whispered, "If we get the Blues to do all our work for us, then we can take credit, and Master Chief will be Team Red." "Well, then I think that's a great idea!" Sarge exclaimed. "Hold on! I didn't agree to anything!" Church yelled. "Church, this is the perfect way so I don't have to do much decorating work, which is annoying. I'm in," Tex said. "Yeah, I just want tacos," Tucker said. "Ugh," Church sighed, "Fine. We'll work together." Church and Sarge grabbed each other's hands and shook them.

"Wait till I take all the credit and Master Chief will love Team Red," Sarge's conscience said.

"Oh, these Reds won't know what hit them," Church's conscience said.

"Hey Church, what time is lunch?" Caboose's conscience asked Church's conscience.

"Caboose! Get out of my head!" Church's conscience yelled at Caboose's conscience.

Meanwhile with Kirby and Master Chief…

Master Chief landed on the floor. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. Master Chief walked past him and headed straight to the panel on the wall. He turned it on and Cortana appeared.

"Well, did you have a nice nap?" Cortana asked. "Cortana, debrief me," Master Chief said. "Straight to business. You haven't changed one bit," Cortana said. "Very funny. What's happening?" Master Chief asked. "The Pillars have been attacked. There's no saving it now. You have to get me out of here and we must escape," Cortana said. Master Chief nodded. "Our little soldier seems to be an ally. Work with him. Get to the bridge and get me. And then we'll take a Pelican and leave," Cortana said. "Sounds simple enough," Master Chief said. "You always make things sound easier than they seem. I missed that about you," Cortana said.

Cortana disappeared. "I need a weapon," Master Chief said. "Peyo," Kirby said. Master Chief looked at him and Kirby had another AR with him. "Perfect," Master Chief said. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. Master Chief grabbed the AR. "Do you have a gun?" Master Chief asked. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. Kirby somehow had another weapon. He held out a pistol. A M6D Magnum. "Perfect. Let's move," Master Chief said.

Master Chief and Kirby moved to another door. Master Chief pried it open. "Let's go," Master Chief said as he ran through the door. Kirby followed him and now the both of them were running through a hallway. Back in the room, they were just in, the Mario puppets broke through and saw the door the Master Chief pried open and they began running through it.

"Company," Master Chief said. Master Chief shot some pipes that were running through the halls and they began dispersing white fog. Master Chief and Kirby continued running through the halls. The Mario puppets ran through the halls and stopped by the white smoke. Then suddenly all of them were shot in the back as Master Chief and Kirby walked through their destroyed enemies. "Classic tactic," Master Chief said. "Poyo," Kirby said.

Kirby and the Master Chief continued running through the halls of the Pillars until they made it to the bridge. There on a pedestal, Cortana appeared.

"Took you long enough," Cortana said. "I'm a bit rusty," Master Chief said. Cortana gave a short laugh, "Okay, you know the deal. Pull me," Cortana said. Cortana disappeared into the pedestal. Master Chief typed into the computer next to it and a small hard drive ejected from the pedestal. Master Chief grabbed the hard drive and put it into a small compartment behind his helmet. Master Chief then held out his hand and Cortana appeared on his palm. "Great. Mission complete?" Cortana asked. "Not yet," Master Chief said. "Right. Well you better hurry," Cortana said.

Cortana disappeared and Master Chief walked towards the exit. He then turned around and faced Kirby. He got his AR out from the holster on his back. "Mission's not over yet, soldier," Master Chief told Kirby. "Hm," Kirby nodded. Mario puppets broke into the bridge. They began throwing fireballs. Master Chief's armor protected the chief, and since Kirby had a helmet that almost completely covered him he was also fine. Master Chief raised his AR and began blasting the puppets. Kirby had better control of the pistol as it was smaller, so he managed to keep his ground. "Go. Go," Master Chief ordered. They walked backwards, continuously shooting till they made it to the hallway where they immediately faced the hall and ran.

Once they made it to the bay. "Cortana, where's a Pelican?" Master Chief asked. Cortana began scanning the area. "There," Cortana said. "Roger. Let's move," Master Chief said. Master Chief and Kirby ran to the UNSC Pelican that was parked in the bay. The Pillars kept creaking and suddenly it began to feel like gravity was beginning to appear. "The Autumn is going down. We don't have much time," Master Chief said. "Oh," Kirby said. They were inches away from the Pelican until Master Chief backhanded Kirby jumped back and landed beside Kirby. Standing in their path was Mario who had pounded the ground. This Mario was different. His eyes were still blue like the puppets, but his skin was normal. It was Mario. Master Chief unleashed his rifle. Before the bullets can hit, Mario unleashed a spire of flames that acted as a shield that consumed the bullets. "Well, that went well," Cortana said. The Master Chief stood tall. Kirby looked at him. "What are you going to do, Chief?" Cortana asked.

"Finishing the fight," Master Chief said.

Master Chief ran forth. As he ran, he shot his rifle, but Mario kept melting the bullets before they could hit him. Master Chief slid on the floor and once he got behind Mario he punched him in the back. Mario caught himself and jumped above Master Chief's head. Mario lit up his hand and punched Master Chief and launched him. Mario hadn't noticed that Kirby had been running at him, and Kirby smacked him with his entire body. "Hm!" Kirby groaned. Mario jumped back from the ground. Kirby got up close and kicked Mario in the face. Mario grabbed Kirby and threw him at a wall.

The Master Chief shook his head. He began noticing flames coming from outside the Autumn. "We're starting to go down fast, Chief," Cortana said. "Then we'll finish this fast," Master Chief said. Kirby shook himself. He noticed Master Chief was giving him signals, which oddly enough, Kirby knew what he meant. The Master Chief stood up and got ready to run. Mario noticed this and prepared to stand his ground. Master Chief began charging at Mario. Mario was prepared for Master Chief's attack until suddenly he was kicked in the back of the head by Kirby which made Mario lunge forward and be tackled by Master Chief. Kirby then grabbed his pistol and Master Chief held Mario in the air as Kirby shot him and then as a final attack Master Chief smacked Mario into the ground.

Mario attempted to stand up but he fell to the ground and transformed into his trophy form, and from the trophy blue energy was released and faded away. "Oh?" Kirby questioned. "Let's go," Master Chief said. "Peyo," Kirby said. Kirby dragged Mario's trophy along with him. "I suppose we don't leave a man behind, even if they did try to kill us," Cortana said. Kirby and Master Chief boarded the Pelican. Master Chief quickly ignited the Pelican. "We don't have long," Cortana said. "I can see that," Master Chief said. The Pelican took off, avoiding the falling debris of the Autumn. From their perspective, they can finally see the silhouette of Blood Gulch.

Meanwhile in Blood Gulch…

The Red and Blue teams had spent their time constructing a base around the random taco stand. Grif and Simmons had brought spare materials from their base, and Caboose and Tucker brought materials from their base. They screwed together metal, hammered down wood. Sarge had been building a second floor to the base and saw Grif on the edge and he pushed him down to a bucket of purple paint that was on the floor. Lopez and Sheila helped get the spare parts from the Puma- I mean Warthog to add to the base. Tex barely put any effort into actually constructing the base, she did get a chicken taco. Donut had accidentally tripped on Tex and caused her to drop her taco so Donut was nailed to the wall until Caboose pulled him out with ease.

Sarge held a professional drawing of the base in his hand, and once he put away the drawing, the base was nothing like the drawing with pieces of wood falling off, a misshaped piece of metal, and for some reason, Lopez's hand was welded to the wall. "She's a beaut," Sarge said. "Yeah, I'll admit, it was nice working together," Church said. "Maybe there's more to Red and Blue," Sarge said. They stared at each other for a while. "Nah," they said. "Oh, oh, Sarge, any idea when Master Chief is getting here?" Donut asked. "He should be here at any moment. You already know how the Chief likes getting here in style," Sarge said.

A loud whistle could be heard all over the gulch.

"Caboose, stop with your whistling," Church said. "Caboose is not whistling, but maybe if Caboose was whistling he wouldn't know I was whistling," Caboose said. "Okay, it's not Caboose," Tucker said. —Yo creo que algo está cayendo (I think something is falling)- Lopez said. A huge piece of metal struck the new base, completely destroying it. "No! The tacos!" Grif yelled as he fell to his knees and smacked the ground, "Damn you God! Damn you!". "Weren't you just questioning if God existed?" questioned Simmons. "Calm down. Caboose put a taco maker in Sheila," Caboose said. "Wait, are you telling me we had tacos this whole time?!" Church asked. Donut looked up at the sky. "Caboose didn't know there were shooting stars in the middle of the day. Silly sky," Caboose said. "Those aren't stars! Run!" Donut screamed. The teams were screaming as they ran away as the Pillars of Autumn crashed into Blood Gulch.

As the dust settled over the Blood Gulch, the Red and Blue teams walked over the debris. "Sheila! Sheila! Where are you?!" Caboose called. —¡Contestanos Sheila! (Answer Sheila!)- Lopez called. "Hello," Sheila said as she was right next to them. "Yes, we found Sheila!" Caboose said. Grif stood up. "Yeah yeah! I'm ali-!" Grif yelled until he was punched in the face by Sarge, "Ow!" "Sorry Grif. Needed to make sure you were alive," Sarge said. "How is punching me in the face supposed to do that?!" Grif asked. "I don't know," Sarge said.

The teams regrouped as they saw a UNSC Pelican fly through and land on top of some debris. They walked towards the Pelican, well in Sheila's case she rolled towards it. The ramp of the Pelican opened, with fog coming out of the inside. Heavy steps came down the ramp. The Red and Blue teams were in awe as the Master Chief arrived in Blood Gulch. "Whoa," they said. "I don't even care anymore that our base was destroyed," Church said. "Yeah, I agree," Tex said. "OHMYGAWD! IT'SMASTERCHIEF!" Grif screamed. "Quiet Grif!" Sarge exclaimed.

"Oh?" said Kirby as he came out of the ramp and dragged Mario's trophy along with him. Kirby kicked the trophy so it was standing. Kirby remembered these words.

"Save the fighters. Destroy Tabuu. This is your mission."

Kirby thought about how Master Chief was confident in his mission. He realized he needed to be confident now for the sake of his friends who were still out there. "Hm," he mumbled. Kirby touched the trophy's base and he reawakened the fighter within.

Mario jumped immediately into the air. "Wahoo!" Mario quickly landed back on his feet. "Whoa. Where am I?" he asked. "Poyo," Kirby said. "Kirby? Where are we?" Mario asked. Mario looked all over. He did see the Master Chief with the Red and Blue teams.

"Tell me, Chief. Red, or Blue?" Sarge asked. "Pick Blue. Because violets are better and violets are what color. Blue," Church said. "Technically violets are closer to purple. Choose Red because roses are better and they're actually red," Sarge said. Cortana appeared on Master Chief's palm. "Ah! O'Malley!" Church yelled. "Church, you idiot. That's obviously Cortana," Tex said. —Me gusta Cortana mucho (I like Cortana a lot)- Lopez said. "Hm," Sheila grumbled with a hint of jealousy. "We don't have time for this. Please direct us to your nearest command outpost," Cortana said. "Well, you're looking at it," Sarge said as he pointed at the debris. "Oh no. Are you the rejects?" Cortana asked. "Rejects? What do you mean by that?" Church asked. "The ones who kept arguing about the color of their armor. Oh no, you're them," Cortana said.

"Did that tank just talk?" Mario asked. "Oh," Kirby said. The Red and Blue teams out of nowhere were arguing/fighting, allowing Master Chief to walk away. "Hey, you," Mario said. "Sir," Master Chief said. "What is this place?" Mario asked. Cortana appeared on Master Chief's palm once again. "Whoa," Mario said. "I see one of them talks. Well, you're in Blood Gulch. And apparently, we landed in the reject zone. Oh boy," Cortana said. "Blood Gulch? What about Subspace? Or the Mushroom Kingdom?" Mario asked. "Are you on mushrooms?" Cortana asked, "The locations aren't familiar within my database," Cortana said. "What? How is that even possible?" Mario asked. "I'm not sure," Cortana said.

A loud ring began playing.

"Hey, what's that noise?" Grif asked. "Oh, it's a good thing you can hear it. I thought I was going crazy," Mario said. "Who are you?" Grif asked. "Caboose is Caboose," Caboose said. "Yeah, I know who you are," Grif said.

"Hero. You have freed the first fighter. There is still much to be done."

"Why, thank you. I am a handsome devil," Sarge said. "I don't think the mysterious voice in the sky is referring to us," Simmons said.

"This is only one of many stops in your journey. It is time for your next destination."

"Oh?" Kirby questioned. "What does the mysterious voice in the sky mean by that?" Mario asked. Mario and Kirby then looked to the sky as a star shined. The star turned out to be the Warp Star which stopped right before Mario and Kirby.

"Save the fighters. Destroy Tabuu. This is your mission. This is your hope. Go beyond."

"I've checked the radars. There was nobody else here besides us," Cortana said. "Strange," Master Chief said.

"Tabuu? Tabuu. I remember," Mario said. Mario called back mere moments before he was consumed by Tabuu's beams. He saw his brother being consumed moments before he was. "We lost, didn't we?" Mario asked. "Hm," Kirby mumbled. "Luigi. Everyone," Mario said as he clenched his fist, "I suppose you survived for a reason, didn't you?" "Oh," Kirby said. "The voice said to "save the fighters" and it also said you freed the first. Should I assume that's me?" Mario asked. Kirby gave a nod. "Then there's a chance. We're here. We can still save everyone and destroy Tabuu," Mario said. "Hm," Kirby mumbled. "We've already lost our homes, and there was Sonic and the others. Right now, we gotta get our friends back, and they're counting on us," Mario said. "Peto," Kirby said with a nod.

The Warp Star slowly spun in front of Kirby. Before they embarked on their journey, Master Chief walked to Kirby. "Here," he said. Master Chief handed Kirby his pistol. "It's loaded. Careful with it," Master Chief said. Kirby grabbed the pistol. Master Chief then stood tall and saluted Kirby. "Huh, friends of yours?" Mario asked. "Oh," Kirby said.

Kirby and Mario hopped on the Warp Star. The Warp Star rose into the air and flew off.
