-The Star Warrior-

Kirby and Luigi searched around almost every floor looking for Ness. They couldn't find him. They kept running into smashers, assist trophies, and even spirits. It was insane how many there were.

Kirby was able to avoid most of them because she had access to flight thanks to her warpstar. However, there was one smasher in particular that gave them a hard time. That was Ridley.

The eldritch horror monster came flying at them at full speed. She and Luigi were tackled onto the ground. Ridley raised his claw at them. Luigi cowered in fear accepting his fate, but she's fucking Nova Kirby. She's kicked Ridley off of her. He flew up to the ceiling. She jumped up and uppercutted him which caused his jaw to pop off.

A pool of purple blood spilled on her. No, she went too far again. Ridley went from using his skills to… Well… Not much changed actually. He fell on the floor and growled at the two. He ran on all fours and tried to bite them despite his lack of jaw. She dodged. Well since he's dead anyway… She summoned a star shuriken and threw it at him causing his body to be split in half. She grabbed Luigi and threw him on the warpstar to continue their search for Ness.

"Luigi, I think we should stop," Kirby frowned.

"No! I need to see him."

"But-

"Kirby, please. Let's keep looking."

"I… This isn't going to help. I need to stop Mario."

"Please. I at least need to know if he's a zombie or not."

"Luigi, we looked everywhere."

"No, that's not true. This place is bigger than you think."
"I… I'm taking you to my planet."

"Wouldn't that waste more time?"

"I can warp."

"Then why don't we warp from place to place here to find Ness?"

"Because we might miss details that way."

"Kirby, please. Don't do this to me!"

"Luigi…"

"Please! I need him!"

"I lost someone important to me too, but I have to move forward in order to fix things. I promise, I'll defeat Mario and Ness will show up. He'll be ok and everything."

"Kirby, no. Don't take me to your planet."
"But you'll be safe there."

"I don't care! I want my boyfriend!"

Luigi started squirming around making it difficult for Kirby to drive. She was planning on warping, but he hopped off.

"LUIGI!" Kirby screamed.

"IF YOU WON'T HELP ME, THEN I CAN FIND HIM MYSELF!"

Kirby flew over to Luigi and tried to grab him, but he dodged her.

"Luigi, please. I don't want you to get infected," she begged.

"I don't care!"

"But I do."

"No! Leave me alone!"

He was determined to find his lover. What did Link say? Never force someone to do something they don't want. Although for some reason that felt wrong. He won't be able to fight off everyone. Sorry, Link, but leaving him alone out here is cruel. She was about to grab him once more, but he made a sharp turn to the left. He crashed into smashers and they bit him. He screamed in pain and all she could was watch. He's already infected. She didn't have any powers to heal. Nova Kirby is nothing but raw power.

"WAAAAAAAAAAH!" Luigi cried.

"LUIGI! NO!"

She fought off the smashers that were biting him. She went over and hugged him.

"I'm sorry!" She cried.

"Waah… N-Ness…"

"I promise. I-I'll make things right."

"Ness…"

His body went limp. She gently laid him on the floor. Suddenly he started having a seizure. She took a step back and watched as the purple slowly consumed him. He got up and hissed at her.

"Luigi…" She frowned.

The plumber pounced at her. She dodged by jumping on her warpstar. Luigi… If only he listened to her. This wouldn't have happened. She failed him. She let out a sigh and looked up. Mario did this. She needs to stop him. He needs to know what he did wrong. Especially to his own brother.

-Purple Apocalypse-

Sonic woke up. He looked around his surroundings. Everything was gray. What is this place? Did he die? Is this purgatory? No, time to ask questions. He started running straight ahead. Although it looked like he wasn't making any progress. Everything was the same.

"HELLO?" He screamed at the top of his lungs.

No reply. Nothing. Is he dreaming? This has got to be a nightmare. Wait, he sees someone up ahead. He started running faster. The figure started to become clearer and clearer until he was finally met face to face with it.

"Mario!" Sonic gritted his teeth.

"O-ho-ho-ho! Glad to see that you could make it."

"Where's Nate?!"

"Who knows~"

"I'll fucking kill you!"

"Do it, pussy!"

Sonic rolled up into a ball and launched himself at him. Mario stepped to the side. His speed! What the hell? Why is he so fucking fast?! Sonic ran around him creating the blue tornado, which did indeed cause Mario to get caught. It launched him in the air and Sonic jumped up and used his nair.

Sonic was jumping around beating Mario in the air. While he was beating him, the deranged plumber was laughing. He stopped and landed on the floor. Why is he laughing? Are his blows not doing anything to him? Why is he just taking it? No! Sonic jumped up and kicked Mario down to the floor. A mini crater was created from the harsh impact.

Smoke blocked Sonic's view when he landed. Hmph! Mario should've fought back. Although, now what? Where is he? How does he escape from this place?

"O-ho-ho-ho! Well done, Sonic," Mario walked out of the smoke.

"W-what! How are you-

"You can't be this dense. I'm-a God now."

"T-this can't be!"

"Here," Mario tossed Sonic the seven chaos emeralds.

"T-the chaos emeralds! Why do you have them?"

"I'm a God. I have everything."

"Why are you giving them to me?"

"Because I want a challenge."

"Tch! Oh I'll give you a challenge. One you'll regret."

Sonic smirked and grabbed the chaos emeralds. He hovered in the air while absorbing the chaos emerald's powers. Sonic took on a new form. His fur turned yellow and his eyes were red. He became Super Sonic.

"You're going down, Mario," Sonic struck a pose.

"Oh please," Mario laughed.

Sonic charged straight at him at the speed of light. He punched Mario and started throwing him around like he was his personal punching bag. He rolled up into a ball and started ramming into him. Mario was still laughing. He thinks this is a game. Tch! Well, time to finish this playthrough. He charged up a powerful spin dash. This is going to be his strongest one yet. Once he was done charging and went full blast. He went beyond the speed of light. Mario didn't have time to react. Sonic went straight through him creating a hole in his stomach.

-White And Black-

Ness dropped to his knees. Lucas was infected by the purple. This… This can't be happening. Not his best friend. No! He didn't want to fight him.

Lucas used PK Fire at him. Ness was too emotional to dodge. He took the impact and was blasted away. Lucas jumped in the air and used his dair at him. Ness blocked it using PK Shield.

"Lucas! Please, I don't want to fight you again," Ness cried.

"..."

"Please! Remember! It's me, Ness."

Lucas ignored and continued to attack him. He kicked Ness on the side. He fell on the floor and looked at Lucas with a miserable face. He was too afraid to fight him. What if he accidentally kills him? He didn't want to see his best friend as a zombie. At least right now, he's in a trance. Maybe Ness could talk him out of it.

"Lucas, wake up! I'm your best friend! Remember the time when-

Lucas used PK Freeze. Ness tried to dodge it, but it got his leg and froze it. The teen panicked and used PK Fire to defrost, but as he was doing that, Lucas used his nair.

"Gah!" Ness tanked it.

Lucas used his dash attack which. Ness stumbled backwards and was kicked down to the ground by Lucas. The blonde looked down on him with no emotion whatsoever.

"Lucas… Don't…" Ness begged.

Lucas pointed his finger at him. He was charging up his down smash. Ness prepared his shield, but he wasn't sure if it was going to block the whole impact. Lucas's PK Love is powerful. He might die. He has no choice but to fight back, but… He can't. He can't hurt Lucas. He's in a fragile state. One bad blow and… He'll be gone. He would never forgive himself if he killed his best friend. The one person that meant the world to him. The one who he treated like… Shit…

-Flashback-

Lucas and Ness were hanging out in Ness's room. They were watching a review about a game and Ness kept saying snarky comments about how the review left out so much. He started calling the reviewer dumb. It was bumming Lucas out. But he didn't want to ruin the mood, so he kept quiet and agreed with whatever Ness was saying.

"Mhm, yeah," Lucas half paid attention.

"Well anyway, let's go get something to eat."

Lucas wasn't hungry, but he agreed to go anyway. The two went to the food court. Ness went over to the pizza vendor and bought both of them a slice.

"Here," he smiled at Lucas.

Lucas's heart skipped a beat. That smile… It was so cute. His face felt hot.

"Huh? Lucas, are you ok? Your face is red," Ness pointed at him.

"Y-yeah. I just… It's hot out here."

"Really? We can go outside if you want."

"No, no, I'm ok."

"But you just said it was too hot."

"Um…"

"Let's go outside."

"But you don't like outside."

"I don't want you sweating to death."

"I'm ok."

"No, c'mon, let's go."

Lucas and Ness went outside and found a picnic table to eat. They were eating peacefully until Popo and Nana showed up.

Popo: "Heyyy, look who it is~"

Nana: "Hi, guys!"

Ness: "H-hey."

Lucas: "Hi."

Popo: "So, Nana and I were playing volleyball and I totally got hit in the face."

Ness: "That's… Nice."

Nana: "Wanna play after you two eat?"

Ness: "N-no. I don't want to waste your guys's time."

Nana: "We don't mind."

Ness: "You could be playing right now. Don't let us stop you."

Popo: "We want to wait for you."

Nana: "Yeah!"

Ness looked at Lucas who looked nervous.

Ness: "Lucas and I aren't the best at volleyball."

Popo: "Who cares, it's for fun."

Lucas: "I… Uh… Sunburn."

Ness: "Yeah! Lucas is prone to sunburns."

Nana: "So am I. I have sunscreen."

Dammit this isn't working. They keep pushing it. What should he do to get out of this predicament? He didn't want to hang out with them at all.

Lucas: "I mean, I guess."

Nana: "Yay!"

Ness: "What!"

Ness gave Lucas a look.

Lucas: "I can give it a try."

Popo: "Whoo! Ness you in?"

Ness didn't know what to say. Lucas is about to ruin their plan. They were going to eat and then go back to his place and play video games for the rest of the day. Then they were going to talk about it like usual. They do this everyday. It's their thing. He wondered if Lucas was doing this because he was afraid of upsetting the Ice Climbers. Lucas… If only he would speak up for himself for once. Ness decided to put his foot down.

Ness: "Sorry, Lucas and I have plans."

Popo: "What? But he said he wanted to give it a try."

Ness: "He doesn't know how to say no."

Nana: "Lucas is that true? You don't want to hang out?"

Lucas: "I-I… Uh… I don't actually mind. If it's for a little bit."

Nana: "See? He says he doesn't mind."

Ness: "He's giving into peer pressure. Trust me, I know him more than you guys do."

Popo: "What? No, c'mon. Lucas, is that true?"

Ness: "Of course it is."

Nana: "Hmph! Why are you so overprotective of him?"

Ness: "I'm not. I just know what he wants."

Nana: "Commanding. I like it~"

Ness: "I'm not being commanding!"

Nana: "What, are you guys planning on fucking or something?"

Lucas went red in the face.

Lucas: "N-no!"

Nana: "Ooo, someone's blushing~"

Ness: "Knock it off. We're just friends."

Nana: "Just friends, huh? That's what they all say."

Ness: "We're friends and that's all we'll ever be. Drop it."

Lucas's heart sunk when he heard that. It was obvious that Lucas was upset. The Ice Climbers caught it, but Ness was oblivious.

Popo: "Dude, you didn't have to say it like that."

Ness: "Say it like what? It's true."

Nana: "I feel like someone is in denial."

Ness: "I'm not not in denial."

Nana: "Oh really? That's good to know~"

Ness: "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Nana: "Oh, it's nothing~"

Popo: "We don't believe you, dude."

Ness: "I feel like you want us to date."

Popo: "It would be cute."

Ness: "Dude, quit it."

Popo: "What, just messin' around."

Ness: "Ugh, ok let's change the subject. Here, why don't I make it up to you guys, Lucas and I will hang out next time."

Nana: "You said that before."

Ness: "We have plans tonight."

Popo: "You guys always have plans."

Ness: "Sorry, I promise. Next time."

Ness motioned Lucas to follow him. The blonde secretly wanted to try a game of volleyball. He's never played and whenever he watched others do it, it looked like fun. However, if he left to play, Ness would be upset. He knew Ness would be mopey and it would bother him for days. The blonde decided to follow Ness back to his place and played Street Fighter.

"Damn! Why are you so good at this?" Ness smiled.

Hearing Ness compliment him made him feel happy.

"You're bad," Lucas commented.

"Hey! No, I'm not. I just don't play as much as you do."

"Even if you did, I would still win."

"Pssh! Yeah right."

"You gotta get on my level."

"Alright you know what, I'm bringing out my main."

They play another round and of course, Lucas wins.

"Lucas, you gotta show me those combos," Ness begged.

"Nope."

"C'mon, how else am I going to improve? Teach me!"

"Make me."

"Make you?"

"Yeah!"

"You wanna play that game?"

"Hmph!" Lucas gave Ness a cocky smirk.

"Ok, I see how it is."

Ness tackled Lucas and they started to wrestle on his bed. Ness overpowered him in the end by pinning him down. Lucas realized the position they were in and he couldn't stop thinking dirty thoughts. His mind was going wild.

"Ha! I won. Now show me your combos," Ness smirked.

"M-my combos?"

"Yeah! You're experienced unlike me."

"Experienced?"

"Yeah, I barely play this game. C'mon, don't be selfish. Don't you want me to get better?"

"I-I… Uh…"

"Hm? What's wrong with you all of the sudden?"

"Y-you're… Um… On top of me."

Ness blushed and immediately hopped off. Oh god, he was on top and saying innuendos without realizing how sexual it sounded.

"S-sorry! I didn't mean it like that," Ness nervously laughed.

"I-it's ok."

"Uh… A-anyway, is it ok if I play a game of league?"

Lucas knew why Ness suddenly wanted to play League. He was embarrassed and he wanted to escape from this awkward tension. He always did this when things like this would happen. It made Lucas feel sad because the way Ness approached these awkward moments made him feel unattractive.

"Yeah, you can play," Lucas said, sadly.

"Thanks! Oh also thank you for being here."

"Yeah, no problem."

He watched Ness play League Of Legends for a couple hours. When he was done, he stretched his arms and legs.

"Alright, let's go get dinner," Ness said.

"Ok."

"Anything you wanna do after dinner?"

"Um, we could go for a walk and talk."

"A walk? Nah, let's go back to my room and play a different game."

"Sure."

"Hmm, what game should we play?"

"We could play Stardew Valley. I've never played co-op. It sounds like fun."

"Is it that farming game?"

"Yeah."

"I don't know if it's my style."

"Why not give it a try?"

"Nah, let's find another competitive game."

"Oh… Ok."

"Trust me, farming games get boring real quick."

"I guess…"

The two left the room and made their way to the food court.

-End Of Flashback-

Wow. He's been a bad friend. Why did he always have to talk for Lucas? He shouldn't have done that. He was so controlling. He never really considered how Lucas felt. Lucas's feelings, huh? It's so obvious that he had a crush on him. Saying those remarks about them being friends must've hurt his feelings. God, he's the worst.

"Lucas! Please, I'm sorry! I promise. I promise I'll change!" Ness cried.

Lucas released his down smash on Ness. It shattered the shield and Ness partially took the blow. His back hit the floor. It was hard to get up. He was in a lot of pain.

"P-PK Lifeup," Ness said, weakly.

He healed a bit of health. He wanted to save his Power Points just in case he sees Mario.

"Lucas, I promise, I'll be nicer. I promise, I won't talk for you anymore. Please, let's stop this," Ness said, desperately.

Lucas was about to PK Thunder himself onto Ness. Ness didn't have a lot of strength left. He was hungry, thirsty, and exhausted. Not to mention how emotional he was. He closed his eyes and braced for impact, however, nothing happened. He opened them to see Lucas on the floor and Sonic standing above him.

"S-Sonic?!" Ness called out.

The hedgehog ignored him and focused his attention on Lucas.

"Sonic? Hey! It's me! I'm right here!"

Lucas got up and the two stood there. Why are they standing there doing nothing? What's going on?
