My father's intentions were pure. And my mother to the best of her ability did what good loving protective moms do. And that is gave her unconditional love. She tried to protect us all. But the world can and is cruel. Sometimes despite you're best efforts. Something goes wrong.
Len and me were best friends. There was only two years seperating us but it wasn't that. I was the only girl and he was an outcast in our small town. I was always shielded in one way or another.
But i made it my business to keep him close to me.
That fight at 9 was the first of many i got into defending my brother and because of that and refusing to apologize i got in trouble for it.
But i never cared about that. Lennon had always had my back and i had his.
Callum had a way of blocking out the things he didn't want to face or deal with. And this situation with Lennon is no different.

"When did you get back?" Lucas asked.
Rachel smiled up at him. "Late. Brooke gave me that spare key years ago and i'm sure you regret it now."
"I somehow end up in that spare room downstairs every time i'm coming home from a modeling gig or event."
"I could go back to my place but its too quiet there."
"It's much more lively here. Plus hanging out with Brooke and the kids is a needed recharge."
"And then there's you. That's a bonus." Rachel proclaimed.
Lucas smiled up at her. "You're welcome here anytime." He replied.
