Chapter 7
Are there still beautiful things?
Sweet tea in the summer
Cross your heart, won't tell no other.
Love you to the moon and to Saturn.
"Do you ever wonder what life would of been like if you and Brooke hadn't settled down so young?" Rachel asked.
Lucas was taken aback by the question. This had been his life for so long now he hadn't had the chance to imagine or think any other way.
"No. But i know it would of been different. And who knows if Brooke and I would of made it through the high school messiness."
"We had to make choices and picked the path that made the most sense." Lucas replied.
"Plus Brooke was in love with you she couldn't see anyone else or another path of life that didn't include you."
"Do you think we would of dated. If Brooke never got pregnant and the two of you broke up?" Rachel questioned.
"Maybe who knows. We were so young then."
"We're still young now but you know what i mean. Why are bringing this up?" Lucas questioned.
"Just curious. Flights are long. Jet lag. Alot of thinking." Rachel replied.
"Aunt Rachel!" Beautrice exclaimed. Coming into the room.
"There's my bumble bee." Rachel proclaimed. Hugging her tightly.
"Sit next to me." The young girl insisted.
"Well how could i resist an offer like that?" Rachel replied.
"I made chocolate/cinnamon pancakes. And sides. In the kitchen." Lucas announced.
"Did you know Lennon didn't come home last night?" Brooke asked. As she made her way downstairs. Still dressed in her PJ's.
Lucas looked at her with a surprised expression.
"We were all at the boating boat festival last night."
"Callum stayed longer after we left but he said he would keep an eye out for him." Lucas replied.
"Well. Callum is upstairs asleep. Lennon's bedroom doesn't have him in it."
"I don't like this Lucas. If Callum lost track of him."
"He would of said something."
"I've been calling him and texting him. He won't answer." Brooke explained.
"I'm sure there is a reason for this." Lucas replied. As he headed upstairs.
He knocked loudly on Callum's bedroom door then went inside.
It was then that the 16 year old was awaken.
He looked around. Wiping his eyes.
"I'm too tired for school." Callum replied.
"Where is Lennon?" You were supposed to watch out for him last night after we left." Lucas questioned.
"I was with my friends and he said he was going to go get food or go to one of the game booths. I don't know." Callum replied.
Lucas let out a frustrated sigh. "You left with you're friends and left him there!" "What is wrong with you!"
"We have always told you. And you're siblings. You go together. You leave together!" Lucas exclaimed.
When Lucas heard footsteps he saw Brooke in the hallway.
She was pushed an envelope into his hands.
Tears falling from her eyes. It was titled on the front
