Chapter Three. Barnabas Gets To Know More Of Her.

Inside the Old House, her pet bat was hanging upside down on the coat rack over by the door. Amethyst and Barnabas sat down in the living room and the vampire gave her a loving smile. "Well, Miss Waters, what can you tell me about yourself?" He asked her. Willie Loomis was out side, doing his duties and making sure that there was nothing suspicious around the Old House.

Amathyst looked at the vampire and she softly chuckled and laughed. "Well, Mr. Collins, I'm originally from northern part of Maine." Barnabas' eyes widened a little. He never knew that she was from Maine. He wanted to know more about her. "When my family and I moved to London, England, my father works for a company and when I was old enough and they found out that I'm a Muggle born witch." She looked up at him and the vampire saw tears in her eyes. He waited patiently for her to continue. So, Amethyst took her time.

Barnabas stood up from the arm chair and he went over to her and he kneeled down in front of her and he listened to her and he rested his hand on her shoulder to comfort her. "My parents disowned me when they found out that I'm a witch." She said tearfully. She leaned forward and the vampire wrapped his arms around her in comfort. Amethyst rested her head on his shoulder as she was sobbing. Barnabas rested his head on her head when he felt her love, respect and innocence radiating from her.

And he felt her pain, grief and anguish. He knew that feeling and he understood exactly knew how she felt. "It's all right, Miss Waters." He said softly. The vampire looked towards the door and he saw Waters' pet bat flew over to her and her bat could sense that she was in distress and he landed on to her side and clung to her with his wings in a hug. Barnabas smiled softly as he saw this and he found this very intriguing indeed that her bat was friendly to her.

The vampire could feel Amethyst's tears soaking through his cape coat and his suit under his coat. She pulled back from him and she looked at Barnabas, who wiped her tears away with his thumbs. He knew it was getting very late for her. Barnabas also knew that she needed some rest from the Death Eater ordeal. He gave her a soft smile when Amethyst looked down at her pet bat as she petted his head very gently and her bat closed his eyes and he softly screeched in content from her touch.

Barnabas stood up from kneeling on the floor and he held his hand out towards her. Amethyst gladly took a hold of his hand. "Let me help you go up the stairs, Miss Waters." He said as he was helping her going up the stairs. The vampire wrapped his arm around her back and he held her hand as he was guiding her. Amethyst figured that she was going to rest in Josette's old bed room. She would love that pretty much. It had been a long night.

Barnabas opened the door to Josette's old bed room and he lead her in and he showed her around. "I hope you stay here as long as you like, Miss Waters." He said softly to her.

Amethyst looked around before she placed her bag on the bed. She looked at the vampire when she took a hold of his hand in hers. "I thank you for this and saving me from the Death Eater, Mr. Collins." She said. She was very grateful that Barnabas saved her from Voldemort's follower. "And I want to also thank you for letting me stay here at your house." She said.

The vampire gave her a tender loving look. "You are very welcome, Miss Waters. You can stay as long as you like at the Old House and Barnabas, please." He told her as he gave her a tender smile.

Amethyst chuckled. "Then, you should call me Amethyst, Barnabas." She said softly to the vampire with a loving smile on her face. She leaned up on her tip toes and she gave the vampire a kiss on his cheek. Barnabas was very touched by her love and innocents from her. Barnabas watched her when Waters took out her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa." She waved it and her belongings came floating out.

And the vampire was pretty astonished that she had all of that magic that she wielded. Barnabas was beginning to fall for her. He knew that Amethyst would keep his secret safe. He knew right there and then that Waters was going to stay with him at the Old House for as long as she wants to stay. Amethyst agreed that she would not just Willie stay to protect the vampire. She would also protect Barnabas during the day time. So she agreed to protect the vampire a long with Willie.
