Leavin' like a father

Running like water.

when you are young, they assume you know nothing.

Lucas looked to the envelope then over at his wife.

"Did you read it?" He asked.

"No. I found it in his room. And i came to find you." Brooke replied.

Lucas opened the envelope and unfolded the piece of paper.

He started to read his son's voice filling his ears.

I don't want to do this anymore. Make you and momma fight.

Have B fight wanting to protect me. I'm tired of hurting the people i love.

So i'm going somewhere and everyone can forget about me and be happy.

I'm sorry i'm not the son you needed or wanted me to be

Lennon

Lucas swallowed hard. Tears falling from his eyes as he passed the paper to Brooke for her to read.

Brooke started to read and soon finished.

The paper falling from hands as she clutched her chest.

"I knew something would happen. I told you!"

"He's sensitive. He's insightful. He couldn't play pretend anymore." Brooke said.

"I told you to look after him out there. Now look at this!" Lucas exclaimed.

Callum entered the hallway. Picking up the paper from the floor and read it slowly.

"I have to find him. I can't and won't just wait around here!" Brooke proclaimed.

"We need to call the police." Lucas replied.

"We are going to find him." Lucas added in.

"I can stay here with B." Rachel said. Announcing her presence.

"I didn't think he would do anything like this." Callum insisted.

Beautrice was feeling so much and she couldn't openly express it.

She simply ran off into her bedroom.

...

Awhile Later

Lennon's face and description of what he was last wearing was all over the news.

Lucas remained at the home. With the officers who weren't out looking. He was answering questions.

Callum and Brooke were driving around looking.

And Rachel mainly stayed out of the way.

...

It had been hours now. Karen and the friend group had come over to over support and help.

Brooke and Callum were back now.

Brooke pacing in the living room. Unable to stop her mind.

Lucas riddled with guilt.

"Honey you need to eat and drink." Karen insisted.

Brooke shook her head from side to side.

"I don't need any of that. I just want Len to come through the door."

"I'll be okay once that happens." Brooke replied.

...

"I can't believe he's doing this for attention. As if mom and dad don't give him enough of it." Callum proclaimed.

Beautrice glared at him.

"You weren't watching out for him at all."

"You act like he isn't even there half the time." "You're friends were there so i know it was even worse." Beautrice said.

"You don't know anything." Callum replied.

"I know all he's ever wanted was you're love and acceptance."

"And you turn up you're nose every time."

"If i hadn't left. He would of been home."

"Get out of my room now!" Beautrice yelled.

Callum left and retreated out of the house and to the Rivercourt.

If all he was going to do was get blamed. He would return later.

...

Beautrice grabbed her purple monkey and buried her face into it as she cried.
