Chapter 5: "The Experienced Warrior who cannot Escape their Destiny"

==ARIES/Friendsheep POV==

At The Hotel

Fighting against Waver's weak assassins who dared to track me down, was quite easier than I thought it would be. The team and I decided to deal with this and started our early morning discussions. This situation is not meant to ignore because it's not only me who fights back. I didn't expect Look Me to have done the same thing before me but her reason not to share it with us is very different.

The fact that those black assassins we captured yesterday was all wasted, we haven't managed to find a good lead. For some reason, when the team and I got them tied by the ropes and put them in the van to get them to the hotel, they started to shake and jiggle with grunt noises. Most of them suddenly become aggressive as they shake themselves while being tied up. The Pisces War Criminal, Doctor Finnish was about to use a syringe to put them into sleep but their bodies turned fully black and they ended up splashing with black blood, spreading inside the van that made us speechless.

It was only thirty minutes that I met them and all of the assassins had been turned into black liquid materials and died, no bodies or physical form were left behind. Only black splashes that made a mess to Doctor Finnish and Sir Cancer's face. Look me, or the Taurus War Criminal, also explained she used to capture One Black assassin alive but the moment she found their unconscious body in the bushes, all she got was a black splash ink spreading like a puddle. Just what is going on? And who in the world are they?

Sir Cancer, the Cancer War Criminal and the leader of the team, tried to put the puzzle into pieces and somehow, they only found a small note. A symbol that represents the Rat Clan. It's certain of Sir Cancer's predictions that the Organisation might have hired them to assassinate his fellow team.

Not only that, it took me a while to realise that this little man who claims to be the Rat warrior's old pal, might be part of the Rat Clan to try and defend Nezumi. Well, I didn't actually plan to share my ideas of keeping my eye on the Rat Warrior Nezumi to them, I was waiting for a chance and now, everything makes sense.

Calling it now, the team learned that the Rat Clan is possibly somewhere in this town and they're trying to hunt them down one by one. That would make sense on why they try to track me down, Nezumi might have told them everything and offered more support to kill me. Not bad for a coward. Maybe he saw my plans and tried to counterattack us.

Well, I'm not gonna let that happen. This time, it's my fight to end my prey and I'm not alone. Each War Criminals share their research histories on what happened to the outside world during that twelve month's time we're stuck on the artificial island.

The War Criminal Capricorn, Gotou Heaven, explained that the day we got captured and failed to execute the plan was the time the Juuni Taisen Organisation started their 12th Zodiac War competition and ended in one night. It appears the Winner of that great war is the Warrior of the Rat, Nezumi. He won by using his mysterious ability that will never be explained.

The War Criminal Libra, Baron Sue also explained the 12th Champion of the Zodiac War got his wish granted in one week after the war. His wish couldn't explain it well but most organisations believe it didn't cause a burden to everyone, or even getting what he wanted. So they think his wish is not threatening and find it the most useless reward they have ever seen.

The War Criminal Sagittarius, Gemini and Scorpio told us that they encountered those black assassins last week but, the result is the same thing as what happened to us. The day they easily defeated those hunters, they also turned into black liquid and disappeared. But they left the note, which is the symbol of the Rat Clan, the same note that we got recently.

The other team also shared their information about trying to get a job and blend into the society, which some of them find meaningless while a certain someone got a big news that brought us speechless.

The War Criminal Pisces, Doctor Finish, explained that the two months after the 12th Zodiac War got a certain event that made the world change, she found it on the certain computer database and tells everyone that the other side of the country, or the world except this town was being "Plagued by an Unknown Disease".

Everyone didn't expect this news would take such a huge plot twist, hearing the world being plagued by incurable disease has made us understand why this place hasn't reached their neighboring countries. But we also wondered why the country we're currently living in is not plague and Doctor Finish explained this country has poor connections to the other side and none of them has ever visited this place. Maybe the government wouldn't allow anyone to visit them unless they found a cure.

Still, this brings up the fact that the War Criminals have easily infiltrated and blended into this place because the military force and security system in this country is very poor. Despite that, this country is the only safest and peaceful place to live in without getting infected by a Plague.

If all the countries have been affected by a Mysterious plague, that means their War battle was halted for sometime around nine months. In fact, they still believe the other side still has their war going on. They won't stop fighting unless something changes for them. Even Everyone knows there will be time when the battlefield will return even worse once they find a cure and recover themselves.

That leaves the next thing, if the Juuni Taisen Organisation is out there to hunt the surviving War Criminals down, then our team won't just sit by and wait for our death. For now, we've dealt with six fights against those mysterious black assassins and we cannot take it anymore. It's time to fight back.

The War Criminal Aries decided to share something to my team, hoping to find more answers. I asked them if they heard this guy called "Waver". I suspected he's the one who called those black assassins and attacked me. I might believe this Waver guy is part of the Rat Clan.

In the end, all the War Criminals didn't know that name. As I told them about Waver and how he knew me and spares me from revealing my identity, the War Criminals couldn't stand by as they wanted to kill him before the cat's out of the bag. They blamed me for not killing him sooner but I don't want to expose myself in public areas so, I'm glad he doesn't intentionally want to fight me.

But, even if I let Waver go, I still have a few leads to share with them. That's right, the gift that Nezumi sent me last time. The one that gave me that activated GPS device and a strange letter from Waver. I picked up the invitation letter and showed it to my team. Sir Cancer opened it and read it with his eyes. The fellow team went behind the old man and stared at the letter.

[To the War Criminals who read this letter, may we find ourselves in the same place where you showed us the Stars again.]

The first sentence made us confused at first, but the bottom one got a clear answer. The message implies an invitation for one person to meet Waver face to face in a certain place. A location that we can't understand except, Sir Cancer gasped when reading the location. It seems he's the only one who knows where it is but he has no intention to share with us.

Despite that, bringing one of us to their invitation could be a trap and everyone is aware of it. After learning this new lead, it's only a matter of time before the enemy gets to us.

"So what now? What is your plan, Sir Cancer?" I asked, wondering if we followed Waver's message.

"This invitation is likely a trap but, I'm not saying we should avoid it. This could be our fifty percent chance to get our answers." Sir Cancer replied, still holding the letter.

"So that means," Dandy Lion smirked as he got fired up and clenched his fist with excitement, "We're going then. Why should we follow those petty rules if all of us can just come and eliminate them one by one! That's an easy win for us."

That bearded man has a point. I mean, why should we sacrifice one of us to lend into their trap and ignore it. After all, we, War Criminals of the zodiac constellation, are a full cooperative team who sticks with their members a lot. We have our backs and good teamwork skills. Going together is a smart move to fight against a mysterious invitation from a certain nobody. But, the next decision from Sir Cancer brought us confusion.

"No, I'm going on my own." All of us suddenly gasped about the old man's decision. Sir Cancer knew that coming while watching our confused looks but, he gave us a faithful expression, hoping to understand him. "I know it's a bad idea and going myself would bring this situation worse but, trust me. I know what I'm doing. You guys are staying here and dealing with your normal task, it's time to make ourselves move as soon as possible.

"What do you mean?! If you're going out there, what are we going to do if you're gone?! You think we could sit by and watch our leader getting eliminated first?!" The War Criminal Leo shouted, not buying the leader's decision. I mean, all of us won't agree and we want to know his reasons.

"When the time comes, you must prepare to fight back. I've already left a note if something happens to me. For now, this is a gamble. To change something, you must follow the uncertain path no matter how safe or dangerous it would turn out to be." Sir Cancer answered in a serious tone.

"While I'm gone, Baron Sue. You're in charge. DandyLion will provide assistance to manage the team. All of you must be as safe as possible, don't let the enemy get to you. Don't kill yourself, don't let the enemy kill you first. Fight back if there's something suspicious going on but leave more answers. This is not a battle where we commit ourselves again. This is a battle where all of us must fight back and honour our pride before the enemy gets to us. No matter how bleak this world is, or how everyone treats us like criminals to bear our sins, we mustn't fall into their palms and lose our life yet unless we finally get a grasp of our true answers. If I get back, make sure all of you are still alive!" Sir Cancer stood up and declared his leader position to his team. "Is that clear?"

"Yes Sir." The War Criminals answered and listened to his instructions.

At High School,

Somehow, everything went as normal as possible. Keep your identity hidden, follow the rules and do not kill anyone unless they know who you are. Simple as that. After all, I still have my priority to keep an eye on my prey. Otherwise, that bastard Waver would eventually try to stop me again.

I left the hotel and went to class as usual. It was perfectly fine when I came inside but, I noticed more and more classmates greeting me cheerfully and politely like I'm some kind of celebrity. I greet in return and try to stay that elegant character I always made up in my time here. It works a lot.

By the time the second class was finished and the teachers gave us a lunch break, Aiko informed us that she has a class representative meeting to attend in the afternoon, meaning she can't join our friendly joining the lunch picnic at the roof, which is a shame. But that leaves me and that sleepy classmate, Nezumi. When I looked around for his seat, I found out he was gone. Maybe he went to the top already.

Soon, the classmates gathered around and started to ask me to join their lunch, which I humbly accept since there's no getting out to see more of them coming to me with a friendly approach. I was planning to make this quickly and eat half of my lunch as much as possible so I can escape and join up with Nezumi. It's not like I want to meet up with him as my first priority. It's just a time I get to deal with my plan to find his reasonings as soon as possible before I stop this pretending act.

The moment I picked up my bag, I realised my lunchbox was missing, which probably meant that I forgot to get it before I left the hotel. Darn it, now there's no getting my explanation for joining him. What am I gonna do? Then, I heard a noise coming from the side window, classmates staring outside while discussing a stranger waiting in the gate.

I took a glance in their direction and saw a familiar face that surprised me. The War Criminal of the Leo, Dandy Lion is out there in front of the gate, staring at his surroundings while waiting. I wonder what he's doing. So I left the classroom and went to the gate to meet him.

Outside, more and more classmates are looking at him, wondering if there's some events going on with their chairman or principal. By the look of this guy, he's wearing some construction worker's clothes who went for a break and is waiting to visit his children.

Speaking of children, everyone's eyes were on me when I arrived outside and met him. They thought I was his daughter or something, which made me embarrassed to meet him in public. That Bearded old man spots me and waves me as a formal way of greeting.

"Yo girly. I see you're still keeping your youthful life." Dandylion chuckled.

"Don't Yo me. I was trying to blend in and you came at a worse time." I muttered and let out a sigh when I crossed my arms. I looked at him and asked with a disappointing tone. "What do you want, old man?"

As usual, the Leo War Criminal's smirk never fades as he found my unpleasant reaction. He suddenly dug something from his bag and took it out and gave it to me. It was a Lunch box that was covered by cloth. By out of means, it's my well-prepared lunch box that I accidentally left.

"Oh, thank you." I took the Lunch box and nodded back politely.

I can guess his reason for coming here is not about giving me this token but to mess with me. I also believe Dandylion doesn't want to come here but he has no choice because the others were busy. Gotou Heaven might be the one who told him about her lunchbox and requested to fetch it for her. While Doctor Finish was busy finding more resources about this strange Plague from other countries. Since he and Baron Sue are in charge of this team, I can say he's looking after us one by one, which is a pain by the way. Speaking of that, Dandylion crossed his arms as he observed my school uniform.

"How long are you going to stay here?" He spoke with a disappointing sigh. I looked away, not interested in answering his question. He noticed my ignorance as he changed another topic. "How cold. And mind telling me what are you up to? Being a highschooler in this foreign place you don't know of?"

"I believe that's classified. It is not my intention to let you be involved with my case." I answered, still turning away and Dandylion sighed back.

"Whatever it is, Sir Cancer and the others will find out sooner. You should start dropping the act and tell m-"

Before Dandylion finished his lines, there was a loud voice of a bunch of students near the gate.

"Should I repeat myself, I told you to leave her alone, you Runt!" A high school student suddenly grabbed the Silver haired teenager who doesn't want to fight back. Dandylion and I took a glance on that noise and observed what they're up to.

It looks like a group of high school boys are ganging up on a wimpy student, Nezumi, who I believe is too lazy to fight back but it seems he looks uncomfortable to stay there.

"You've been hanging out with that famous lady Meland Sherry a lot, Weirdo! Don't think you're special just because she likes to walk with you!" The tall student muttered as he grabbed Nezumi's collar and pushed him to the wall. Dandylion looked at me, wondering if this bully case was my fault.

"Hey, like I said I-" The Silver Haired teen convinced them until he received a sudden blow to his left cheek, causing him to turn back and deal with a pain he received for the first time in the year.

"Say it to my fist Brat! That's what you get for staying close to that elegant lady in class! You don't deserve to join her space!" The other student beside the one who was strangling Nezumi's collar, started to punch his stomach, which Nezumi gasped for air and coughed a bit, not seeing this turn to happen.

The beat up from the bullies has already started and no one dares to stop them. I mean, the way I look at any students passing by, it seems they don't want to interfere not because of getting in trouble, but because they are amused by this action. I wonder if everyone in this high school hates Nezumi so much just like the War Criminals and I are into this situation.

Speaking of that, I realised this whole thing started because of me. As a foreign student who recently became famous for my looks, it seems everyone wanted to protect me by removing someone not worthy of hanging out with me. It looks like those boys are jealous of Nezumi for hanging out with me even though I'm the one who wanted to get close to him. This might be part of misunderstanding but seeing him in trouble looks interesting I say.

"And that Scarf! You think she would give this present to a Rodent like you?! Don't think about it cuz I'm going to rip it out into piec-"

"Rip it for what?" Dandylion suddenly went behind them, interrupting the bullies who stopped muttering as they noticed someone big was covering the sunlight. They turned around and were frightened to watch the old bearded man with an intense glare that shook their bodies. "You want my fist to rip your face into pieces? Huh!"

Seeing that deadly glare from a military warrior brought fear to the bullies. They were shaken as they released Nezumi and fell back away from us.

"Run everyone!" The bullies left us as they ran away, never looking back at the golden bearded man. I sighed, knowing that we caused another problem to attract some fellow citizens. Playing a hero is not my thing but I heard Dandylion used to have a history about that style. Though, not that I care about.

"Thank you.." Nezumi whispered back. Wait, we almost forgot he's still there. Nezumi wiped the blood from his cheek and took a small bow to thank us for stopping the bully. It seems his injuries aren't deep but Dandylion doesn't care about that.

"Don't get the wrong idea brat, I didn't try to save you but, seeing those bullies kinda makes me want to punch them. If you're a man, start fighting back with your fist next time, okay?!" Dandylion said with his grumpy temper tone while Nezumi, who surprisingly didn't flinch and wasn't scared as he nodded back in reply.

When Nezumi noticed me beside the big man, he made a straight face and was trying to leave us alone until Dandylion grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.

"Hold on, you're not going anywhere buddy. You stay right here first while I convince my niece for some explanation." Dandylion said.

"Dandy, you-" I muttered, twitching my eyes for some nonsense he spoke to him. Before I opened my mouth to stop this misunderstanding, he pat my hand aggressively and continued,

"It's Uncle Dandy, you brat. Mind you to repeat your polite words to your elderly again, my fellow Niece."

"Oh, this is embarrassing." I muttered in silence as I turned my head down to cover my reddish face, cursing the big guy in my mind.

While Nezumi stood there where he wouldn't hear us and obeyed his command, Dandylion crossed his arms and demanded an explanation on why am I being part of the Rat Warrior's high school life and getting close to him. He also mentioned the Scarf in Nezumi's neck is the gift she gave him and wonders why he's getting friendly with our target enemy. I wanted to curse those bullies for mentioning that but it seems it's my fault for being too popular.

"Alright, I'll explain. Unless you give me a reason for your actions to help him." I said, trying to demand an explanation and not losing against him. "He's part of the Rat Warrior clan who tried to kill us and you were trying to play a hero and stop those bullies just now. Don't forget you're one of the War Criminals who committed more sins. Even if we're in peaceful school, don't think this rotten warrior champion over there deserves a second chance. It would be better to leave the enemy in their troubles."

"I would say the same thing for you to leave that brat alone but, the way I did it is because I hate it when the top dog gets what they want." Dandylion said as he took a deep sigh and scratched his head.

"I know that brat Nezumi is part of the warrior clan and our target but watching him beat down kinda pissed me off. I'm not trying to save him. Just seeing those bullies makes me irritated. That's all."

Wow. I didn't expect he would be typical to get mad at bullies despite the fact that he looks like a bully himself. He's got anger issues. I'll give him that. Now that he answered my question, it's my turn to answer his question by making my story short. I wasn't planning to tell it to everyone but I have a feeling that they will find out soon enough. Besides, they know how to uncover secrets and weaknesses for our team.

It took five minutes to explain my simple goal to DandyLion about investigating the Rat Warrior, Nezumi and finding out his secret motives. I only know he's the one pulling the strings behind the time we were stuck in the Archipelago Island but, Dandylion doesn't seem surprised about that. I only told a half story that prevented me from spilling beans and DandyLion doesn't seem impressed about my actions.

"So that's why, I never thought you would be this determined." He touched his covered beard chin and thought something. However, seeing how he doesn't care about my story upsets me.

"Hmph.. at least some enemy managed to get my attention and invited me, I could say that for someone who didn't do anything for the past two weeks." Hearing that, DandyLion clenched his fist and twitched his eyes for being mocked.

"What did you just say brat?! I spent all my time working on business properties and getting ourselves a shelter in our hotel and earning money while you're here, sitting on a normal life with some normal weaklings who don't care about the world!"

I sighed back, knowing we, fellow team warriors, will start opposing and arguing ourselves again. For a moment, I thought the students heard a parent and their child muttering behind their classrooms until-

"Excuse me, can I go now? Class is about to start." Nezumi raised his left hand, turning our eyes on him. His eyes looked bored and sleepy like he doesn't want to be here in our circle.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you're still here. Hold on, I still have something to ask for you." DandyLion smirked back in reply. He immediately changed his tone from losing his temper to being an organiser warrior back again.

"Better be quick, I don't want a teacher to scold me if I'm late in my afterno-" In his last line, he stopped and widened his eyes as he rushed over to DandyLion. He gritted his teeth and tried to push him away.

"Look out!" Dandylion heard the boy's call as he was being pushed to the right side, then he suddenly felt like a part of his hair was being blasted by one small shot coming from afar.

"What in the world?!" For a second, I saw his small strand of hair was being cut in a small hole.

All of a sudden, Nezumi quickly grabbed my long braided hair and pulled me near the building. I wanted to curse him for daring to touch my hair but It turns out that his actions have caused the next sudden shot to miss me, almost hitting my left shoe. I can see that the bullet was aiming on my leg. If it weren't for Nezumi, I would've lost my balance and fell down to that attack.

"Who the hell shoots us just now?!" I asked in my angry tone, cursing at someone who dares to hurt us.

"FriendSheep, it's a Sniper Attack! Watch out!" Dandylion suddenly grabbed my back and pulled me away from the gate. He forced me and Nezumi to crawl down the wall, making us covered safely from a sudden bullet shot.

Dandylion heard the gunshot stop as he stood up and stared at the direction where that sniper attacked. As a former military warrior, Dandylion knows the type of weapons that any soldier uses. Tanks, machines, swords, sniper long rifles and other guns, Dandylion knows how deadly those weapons are. The moment he avoided that ambush attack, he already recognised the type of weapon the sniper used and he uses his experience to pull us away from that attack.

Dandylion warned us that their sniper attack was silent. It's an unpredictable attack that we don't know where it will shoot next. Even if it's dangerous to fight in a long range. It does help us from not getting trouble and letting innocent people get involved. From what that big guy told us, that Sniper has a silent bullet shot that any people won't hear nearby.

"Darn it, we're in the open area. We can't let everyone involved with this. What now?!" I asked, moving to the school building for cover.

"For now, let's find some cover up and escape." DandyLion answered as he led the way. He turned to Nezumi and grabbed his arm. "You, come with me!"

"Wait a Se-" Before Nezumi replies, he was being dragged by DandyLion and jumped through the walls to escape the sniper attack and leave their school.

While running behind them, I noticed that Nezumi isn't actually worried about getting in danger and I was beginning to suspect he doesn't know anything about his Rat Warrior Clan who is hunting us.

If the Sniper attack was them, then why did he try to save DandyLion and make him involved in this mess? He could've just ignored us and handle this to his clan. If he gave the signal to them, he wouldn't push my team away and prevent a sneak attack but instead, he tried to save us. What is going on?

When he turned the sniper's direction and felt it was clear, Dandylion signalled us to move forward while covering our heads near the wall. The next sniper attack hasn't pushed us further, which makes me believe we still have a chance to survive.

Dandylion proceeded to cross the street and noticed a driver parking his Taxi vehicle in the nearby parking space. He gritted his teeth and was glad they came across a passer-by taxi guy. The big guy immediately approached the driver and forced him for a lift to ride us far away from this area.

Dandylion took another glance to the sniper's direction before he waved us to hop inside the Taxi car. Nezumi and I took a seat at the back while Dandylion took in front, closing the window but staring at the sniper's location. Despite driving at a far distance, Dandylion never missed on keeping an eye on a mysterious sniper while not taking a glance at a nervous taxi driver.

So far so good. Everything is safe for now. However, the moment we crossed the bridge, I noticed Nezumi shook his eyes wide open as he immediately unlocked and pulled his seatbelt away. Before I grasped about his strange behaviour, Nezumi shook the door, trying to open it and making Dandylion turned his eyes to us.

"I advised we jump out of the car. This is a trap." Nezumi said calmly, making us wonder what's gotten into him. Does he have a death wish when there's a sniper chasing after us? Though, we would tell if he's working for those assassins but why did he warn us all of a sudden?

Hearing his little warning, Dandylion turns his gaze on the driver and notices his pair of eyes are yellow. He recalls the first time he saw that driver, he was a normal guy with human eyes of white sclera and black iris but now, that yellow sclera coloured in his eyes made Dandylion uncomfortable. Something's wrong with this Driver, who suddenly widened his eyes and turned to him.

"Hehehe.. you're all gonna die!" With that, the acceleration speeds up and the Driver grips the wheel and moves the car towards the broken bridge at full speed.

At that moment, with the car heading straight to the empty road with a sign of under repairs, Dandylion has no time to stop him when the Driver's eyes were focused on the death road. Leaving no choice, Dandylion pressed a switch, where it automatically allowed the seatbelts off and unlocked the door.

I immediately removed my seatbelt and Dandylion gave us a signal to leave the car and so we did. Nezumi was the first to break out, I followed after him. The moment we left the car and saw it got hit the road sign, falling down the bridge and tossing tk the sea, we were left with more questions on why the Driver offered to take that suicide task.

It would be wise to ask him as Dandylion got the Driver out and carried him in one hand. Nezumi and I regrouped and learned we're still on the broken bridge with open space. If that sniper were here right now, we would've gotten shot and killed.

And yet, they didn't attack us. It was as if we escaped from them at long range, which was a relief. Now comes the next part, Dandylion wanted to get answers from the Driver's reckless actions and Nezumi's predictions but he couldn't because the Driver's helpless state was unconscious.

That leaves to Nezumi, who seems unaware that Dandylion and I have a long blasting rage questions in our minds on why his clan have suddenly attacked us at a time like this. Suddenly, Nezumi lay down on the ground and fainted. We checked on him, worrying if someone attacked him closely but it turns out, he was just trying to sleep when we heard his little snoring.

Goodness gracious, he's trying to avoid interrogations, huh? Dandylion gave me a glare, thinking that I used my ability, Hypnosis, to make him sleep in which I didn't do it. Nezumi just brought that up and fell asleep. Even though he got involved in our problems, I noticed he wasn't scared or asked anything about it. I have a feeling he knows something that we don't know.

Aside from that, Nezumi and I just skipped class and now, we're dealing with more assassins from the Rat Clan who could attack us at any time. When Dandylion and I carried those two sleepy boys and tried to leave the bridge area, a silent bullet shot from the sniper attack almost got my leg. Luckily, I stepped back before that attack and Dandylion ordered me to fall back.

This didn't last much longer when Dandylion jumped on the right side and avoided another sniper attack, his arm was almost hit but he crawled down before they got a chance to hit the unconscious civilian. I took a glance and saw a shining light that was going to snipe us again. This time, we're cornered.

However, Dandylion clenched his fist and stood up, glaring at the sniper's direction bravely while I'm worrying what reckless things he'll do next. The next ten seconds were silent.

The sniper didn't fight back, nor shoot the same thing as before. Or did something happen when Dandylion lifted his head and looked at them from a long range? Possibly, I can see he's pissed but at the same time, relieved to see the outcome of not getting shot without moving.

"Damn it! Don't keep us waiting you Latecomers! Just hurry up and get it over with!" Dandylion muttered.

==NO POV==

A While Ago,

The old man walks to the cement road on the way to the mountain field. There was an abandoned house that was covered deep in the forest.

They call it the Lonely Garden.

He used to remember the same building he visited from other countries. The same garden and their abandoned brick cottage house, he wonders if those owners are fond of peace looking areas like this. This place never changed even in his time when he was a child.

His memories with The Lonely Garden didn't forget him. Back when he was a young warrior who won the 8th tournament, he used to visit and meet up with the organisation group and make his wish. Even as the time goes by, he always visits important occasions like meeting with different champions and having their respectable and lovely chat. Most of them are not on friendly terms but at least, they respect and understand each other.

The Lonely Garden was in fact, the traditional place that the Juuni Taisen organisation made as a secret place that only the Champion and Judge knows. The person who invites them must be related to those candidates. He wonders if they're inviting him to lure him into a trap and eliminate them one by one.

Speaking of that, someone is coming and his footsteps are getting close by. The shadowy person spots him as he takes a step closer and reveals to be the tall man who looks like a formidable warrior with an intimidating aura.

"Former Warrior of the Boar and Eleventh Champion of the Zodiac War, Inō" The man greeted him with a bow. Sir Cancer can see his hands are ready to fight. Though he needs to introduce himself as well. After all, it's a common courtesy for fellow warriors.

"War Criminal of Cancer and Eight Champion of the Zodiac War, Sir Cancer." The eleventh champion gave him a nod that greetings are done. His eyes tend to look around before he started to talk, "I see you're alone without companions. I'm grateful you're here. It was I who gave you that invitation."

Sir Cancer wasn't expecting the eleventh champion to be the one who gave him an invitation. But what for? He has so many questions to ask him. The fact he's alive right now amaze him. Just how long did his team sleep in this world? He wonders if the Eleventh Champion could answer them properly.

There was a chair and a table with a parasol next to the cottage and The Eleventh Champion invited him to take a seat and he followed it. There were two warm coffees on the table and the Boar warrior took one and drank it. Sir Cancer observed the champion's behaviour but he doesn't want to keep this place quiet.

"So, what brings you the trouble to invite me here. Enlighten me, Eleventh" Sir Cancer asked calmly.

"Drop the formalities and stop calling that title, fellow champion. You're not a War Criminal anymore." The Warrior who calls himself Eleventh sipped his drink, leaving Sir Cancer confused. "What do you mean?"

"I heard what you did twelve months ago, you and your team tried to stop the war by destroying that organisation, right?" Eleventh placed his coffee on the table and watched the old man nods silently, "Thanks to that, all of you were captured and forced to live on an island where the world won't remember you. I'm amazed you're alive."

"Calling it now, you might be the oldest champion of the Zodiac War I've ever met in this timeline."

"You flattered me, Eleventh." Sir Cancer said.

He started to think about the remaining champions left alive, so far he counted them as three; The 12th Champion of the Rat Warrior, Nezumi, The 11th Champion of the Boar Warrior, Ino and himself as the 8th Champion. He remembered that the 10th champion ended their life after making the wish but there was no record of them after that.

"Well then, Eight Champion of the Zodiac War. Why don't we have a straight to the point?" Eleventh spoke as Sir Cancer knew he was here for a reason. He nods back as he was ready for this, thinking if this is some negotiation or a challenge to them.

"Here's the thing, I want you to join our team and help us eliminate the 12th Champion of the Zodiac War, Nezumi." The Boar warrior said seriously. By the look of his expression, Sir Cancer believes this request is the whole reason for getting invite. If one of his team were here, he knew this champion would request them the same thing. "But then, why Nezumi?"

"Eliminate the 12th Champion? That young lad is your target?" Sir Cancer remained his composure and wonders. "How interesting, tell me your plan."

"Long story short" Eleventh coughed once before he cleared his throat and explained it carefully. "That young boy made a big mess that destroyed the system. Wars are happening because of him. Those Juuni taisen organisation plans to keep him alive. I don't know their details but all I can say to him, that champion must be killed for us. He is not worthy to be called a Warrior!"

The moment he slams the table, Sir Cancer can see how frustrated Eleventh was to know the 12th Warrior is perfectly alive and well. He doesn't think about that young lad but he finds it peculiar to hear their opinions of the other champions. "How amusing. If that's what you think of this young champion, may I ask you questions on my behalf?"

The Boar Warrior nods back and Sir Cancer smiled as he held both hands on the table formally. "Well then, first question: Do you know anything about the World Plague?"

Sir Cancer looked at his eyes, wondering if Eleventh is going to lie or not, which the Boar Warrior respond with a silent nod. "Yes, it happened ten months ago. While you and your team were in that island, I can't say I know everything but all I've covered for sure is the one behind the plague"

"And that is?" Sir Cancer lift his head as he's finally going to learn the whole truth about the countries being locked up. At first, he thought the person behind that Plague was the Organization but to his surprised, he didn't expect this much.

"That twelfth Champion of the Zodiac War, the Rat Warrior, Nezumi" Eleventh answered as he sighed back. "As they say, Rats used to cause certain Plagues and spread around their country. I cannot believe he's still alive after all those months. "

Sir Cancer would've think he would lie but as fellow Warriors, there was no time for jokes. Eleventh made that answer with a serious face, showing he's not messing around with their discussion. To forge a bond of their team, he was determined to let Sir Cancer accept his request. Right now, there were more questions that he need to answer truthfully.

"Next question: Are all the countries around the world affected by that plague?" Sir Cancer asked

"I'm definitely sure. It also got my clan, which is to say that I cannot go back unless they stop the virus from spreading."

"If this is what that Rat Warrior Nezumi caused it, do you think the Juuni Taisen Organisation are involved with this." Sir Cancer watched as the Boar warrior slammed the table with his fist again. This time, his voice sounds deep and threatened.

"Mostly! In fact, they were the ones who planned and brought this mess. They don't give a damn about those people, wealth and their hometown. Wars are spreading, millions and millions of people are suffering from that incurable disease. If things go downhill, it will send to this country next. I'm not sure if we'll make it to the next country. I bet this is the last haven to live with."

"You say that killing Nezumi will help for us? You mean to say if he's dead, we might prevent the World Plague?" Sir Cancer asked, waiting for another answer to someone who despise the 12th Champion. However, Eleventh shook his head and answered back.

"That's four questions. I'm sorry to say but you're going to ask me more when you talk about my offer."

"So there's no going through this.. I wonder what his deal with that Rat Warrior. There's so many questions I have to ask but-" Sir Cancer thought about in his mind, considering he's still has his team looking after their target. He wonders if his decision will affect their lives soon.

"I understand. We'll think about it. Until then, please be aware we're on a tight schedule." Sir Cancer said formally.

"Agreed, I'll wait for your answer. Then we'll-" The Eleventh paused as he glared at something behind the old man.

Sir Cancer followed his gaze and saw a shadow of a bizarre looking Wolf, spying on them. A mysterious dark wolf has a grenade with a time ticking sound on its mouth as the two warriors finally snap and focus on the sudden attack.

The moment the time ticks down to zero, the grenade suddenly explodes along with the Lonely Garden surroundings, leaving all the fields getting blown off into ashes.
