-Back And Ready To Attack-

Lucas felt bad for Ness. He wished he could take away the pain, but he knew that only time could heal. The only thing he can do for Ness is to be here for him. Lucas hugged him back and together they sat on the staircase.

"It's ok, I'm here, Ness," Lucas reassured.

"I miss you…"

"Sssh, it's ok. I promise it'll get better."

The two continued to sit there. The other smashes gave them the side eye. They wanted to ask what's wrong, but it's Ness and Lucas. If anyone could cheer the asian teen up, it was Lucas. They ignored and went to the ballroom to decorate it for Mario's wedding.

Ness was overwhelmed. He wanted to tell Lucas everything about the clone and what Mario did to him, but he couldn't stop crying. He's never cried like this in front of his best friend before. He always wanted to seem like the strong one, but here he is, crying like a baby. He tried to stop and talk to Lucas about his plan, but he couldn't help it.

"There, there," Lucas patted his back.

"C-clone… *Sniffs* I… I…"

"Don't push yourself. Tell me when you're ready."

Another 15 minutes go by and Ness finally calms down. Ok, he has to tell Lucas what happened. It's going to be a long explanation but he needs to start from the beginning so that Lucas understands.

"I-I think I'm ready now," Ness rubbed his eyes.

"Ok."

"So you know the party, right?"

"Which party?"

"Villager's party. Oh god… Villager…"

"Huh? Did something happened to Villager?"

"He…"

"I haven't seen him for a while, but Isabelle made a post on smash media that he probably went to his island. He likes to disappear without saying a word."

"No, that's not what happened to him."

"Oh, then where is he?"

"That's not important right now. I'll explain it later. H-hold on, let me start from the beginning. So, you know that Kirby was turned into a girl, right?"

"I'm talking about Paluntena turning Kirby into a girl!"

That's when it hit him. Mario said he was going to do something to Lucas. Mario made him forget.

"Ness, are you ok?" Lucas raised a brow.

"Y-yeah, sorry."

"So, wait. I'm confused. What about Villager and Kirby?"

Lucas won't believe him if he told him about the party. It sounds bizarre. He'll sound crazy. It's fine. He can still talk to him about the clone and what Mario did to him.

"Ok, so scratch the whole Kirby and Villager thing," Ness shook his head.

"Ok?"

"So Mar-

Ness's heart skipped a beat when he heard a familiar voice.

"I'm sorry, Chef Ramsay," Kawasaki moped.

"It's fine, we can always try another recipe. We still have time before the wedding," Gordon said.

The two saw Ness and Lucas sitting on top of the stairs. Kawasaki waved to them and Lucas happily waved back. However, Ness was internally panicking. Those are not his cavemates. Mario cloned them too. It really does seem like nothing happened.

Kawasaki: "Hi, Lucas and Ness."

Lucas: "Hello."

Gordon: "Yes, hi."

Ness: "..."

Lucas: "Did something happen to the cake? Sorry, I overheard."

Kawasaki: "The cake didn't come out the way we imagined."

Gordon: "Yes, sadly we failed."

Lucas: "Aww, I'm sure you guys will figure something out."

Gordon: "We have no choice but to start over."

Gordon: "It's ok. It was our first draft."

Lucas: "You guys have plenty of time. The wedding isn't for a while."

Ness: "I-I… I need to go to the bathroom. I'll see you later, Lucas."

Lucas: "Wait, you're leaving?"

Ness: "I have something to do after I use the bathroom. S-sorry."

Lucas: "Ness, you-

Ness: "Sorry, I really have to go."

Ness walked away as fast as he could. Lucas was going to chase after him, but Gordon stopped him.

Gordon: "I don't think it would be a wise choice."

Lucas: "Something's bothering him."

Gordon: "It's best to give him space."

Lucas: "I don't know…"

Kawasaki: "Well at least let him go to the bathroom in peace."

Lucas: "That's fair. He'll tell me later tonight."

Kawasaki: "Say, are you familiar with cake?"

Lucas: "What do you mean?"

Kawasaki: "We need a taste tester."

Lucas: "Oh, s-sorry I'm busy. I still need to buy groceries."

Kawasaki: "Aww, c'mon pleeeaase."

Lucas: "I-

Gordon: "Leave him alone. He has something to do."

Kawasaki: "Sadness."

Lucas: *Sighs* "Ok, I can try it."

Gordon: "Really?"

Lucas: "Yeah."

-Luigi's Drama-

Tina was hanging out with her inkling bros. The Inklings and Octolings are known to party, so it wasn't a surprise that they were talking about the next concert coming up.

Tina wasn't paying much attention. She wondered what was up with Ness. He started acting all nervous like before. It could be because he's scared of what happened to her, but it didn't seem so. Something else was bothering him. He kept talking about his clone. What clone? She had no idea what he was getting at.

Inkling 1: "You good, Tina?"

Tina: "Yeah, sorry."

Inkling 3: "Is it about your boyfriend?"

Tina: "I'm not dating anyone."

Inkling 2: "Yeah right. We've seen you hang out with that human."

Tina: "Ness?"

Inkling 3: "Yeah, him. What's up with that?"

Tina: "We're not dating."

Inkling 1: "Do you like him?"

Tina: "I mean… Maybe a little."

Inkling: "Did you two fuck already?"

Tina: "Uh…"

Inkling 1: "Oh my god you two totally did!"

Tina: "..."

Inkling 2: "Was he better than your ex?"

Inkling 3: "What's sex with a human like?"

Tina: "You guys are being too much."

Inkling 2: "He's a cutie~"

Tina: "Guys…"

Inkling 1: "Ok, ok we'll stop."

An Inkling boy enters the scene.

Inkling boy: "Sup, girls."

Tina: "Darnell, what're you doing here?" *Crosses arms*

Darnell: "What, can't say hi?"

Inkling 1: "Oh hey, Darnell~"

Darnell: "Sup."

This is Tina's que to leave. Darnell is her ex and she didn't want to see that jerk. He tried to make her a traditional woman. A girlfriend who cooks, cleans, and submits to her boyfriend. He didn't even let her have a job because that's the man's burden. It pissed her off. She loves being independent and doing her own thing, but he didn't let her have freedom. She didn't want to be near him.

She stood up and was walking back to her room. She noticed that Darnell was following her. She made it halfway and then stopped.

"What do you want?" She asked, coldly.

"Listen, we need to talk."

"Nah, I don't want to hear it."

"Come on."

"Why do we need to talk? We're over."

"Look, I made a mistake."

"Darnell I-

"Please, you don't have to say anything. I just want you to hear me out."

"Fine."

"I know in the past I was sexist. I realize how awful that is. I'm sorry for all the times I hurt you. Please, I want us to start over."

"..."

"I want us to talk again."

"I dunno…"

"C'mon. We don't have to date. I just miss you."

"Ah…"

"What, you're too good for me now? Is it because you have a human boyfriend?"

"He's not my… Look, the way you treated me sucked ass. I don't know if I want to deal with that again."

"I TOLD YOU THAT I CHANGED!"

"This is another reason why I don't want to talk to you again. Your anger issues pisses me off."

"I'm a guy! I can't help it."

"Not all guys are angry like you."

"We all are! It's in our DNA. It's because we have more testosterone!"

"Ness doesn't get angry like you."

"Ness? So, that's your new boyfriend's name."

"He's not my boyfriend."

"If he doesn't get angry often, that means he's not a real man."

"Toxic as ever I see."

"TINA! YOU… *takes a deep breath* You're too sensitive."

"This has been a good talk. Anyway, see you later."

"WAIT!" Darnell grabbed her wrist.

"Let go of me!"

The other smashers noticed the commotion. They walked over and gave Darnell a dirty look. This made him nervous and he let go of her wrist.

"I'm not done talking about this," Darnell warned.

"Tch!" Tina held her wrist and gave him a dirty look.

She watched him leave. The smashers asked if she was ok. She thanked everyone and made it to her front door. She was so exhausted. All that social interaction took a toll on her. She wanted to plop onto bed and watch smash toks for the rest of the night.

She opened the door and her jaw dropped. Her room was trashed. W-who did this? Could it be Darnell? Is this his payback because she dumped his ass? She knew it was a personal thing. It all makes sense now.

"Ah… Wah?"

Tina turned her attention to where the voice was heard. Her eyes widened when she saw Luigi on the floor in front of her closet. He looked dazed and for some reason he was cuffed. What the fuck happened?! She screamed as loud as she could, which also caused Luigi to scream.

She took out her phone and called the guards. She pointed her ink gun at him in case he tried anything. It didn't take long for the guards to arrive and arrest Luigi.

So Luigi was the one that attacked her that night? It wasn't Darnell? Why the fuck would Luigi of all people break into her room and attack her? It doesn't make any sense. What did she do to him? Also why the fuck was he cuffed? Is this some kind of set up? It must be a set up. There's no way sweet Luigi would suddenly attack her. He has no reason to. What exactly is going on?

-The Clones-

Clone Ness and Clone Sonic said their goodbyes and parted ways. Ness made his way back to Lucas's room, but he wasn't home yet. He sat down and waited for his boyfriend to come home. He thought of hanging out in his room, but he was scared. What if Luigi is there waiting for him? He shouldn't be alone out here either. Luigi could definitely jump him as of now.

Ness got up and went to Moonspoon cafe. At least there will be people around, so if Luigi tried anything, he would be outnumbered. He saw Isabelle at the counter. He smiled and went to order.

"Hey," he greeted.

"O-oh hey."

(That's weird. She seems nervous.) "Can I get the usual, but instead of two omelets can I just get one."

"O-of course! Coming up."

"You ok?"

"Yup. It's just been a busy day."

"It looks slow now, so that's a relief."

"Yup. Anyway, I'm gonna go make your order."

Weird, she's acting like she's guilty about something. Maybe she got someone's order wrong and they yelled at her. This is why he didn't exactly want to work. Although honestly, he could take it. He gets yelled at by Mario all the time. He's used to it.

"Order up," Isabelle sang.

He walked up and grabbed his order. He said his thanks and sat down on a table alone. He put his stuff down and took out his phone and texted Lucas.

Ness: I don't have key, so let me know when u get back

He put his phone away and began eating his food. He heard the doorbell chime. He looked up to see that it was Nana who entered the cafe. He nearly choked on his food. The two locked eyes. She smiled and sat on his table.

"Hey," she greeted.

"..."

"So, obviously you and Leaf broke up. How's that been?"

"Go away."

"It's your own fault."

"I know."

"So, now that you don't have a girlfriend, and I don't have a boyfriend, I'm readily available."

"You and Popo broke up?"

"I broke up with him. He's such a loser."

"Why would I get with you? You ruined my relationship."

"I'm hot. You're hot. We'd be a power couple."

"Fuck off."

"Whatever, honestly, I don't care about being with you. I fucked you and ruined your relationship for crossing me, so I'm happy."

Ness got up. He grabbed his stuff and left the cafe. He went back inside the mansion and went to the ballroom where most of the smashers were. He looked around and stared at the place in awe. The smashers were serious when they said they were going to plan Mario's wedding. This place looks beautiful. It looked like an official church wedding.

He asked around to see if he could help out. Sora gladly gave him a job, which was to help him decorate the walls. It was tedious at first, but talking with Sora made the experience better. They were talking about his game. It was fun learning about Kingdom Hearts, but it was also so complicated.

Ding!

Ness checked his phone and saw that Lucas texted him back. He's home. Ness said his goodbye to Sora and he went back to Lucas's room.

"Hey, are you feeling better?" Lucas asked.

"Yes and no."

"You should've called me."

"I know, I'm sorry, but for the most part, I'm fine."

Lucas wanted to mention about the talk from earlier. Ness was acting strange and he's never seen him cry like that before. He started talking about Kirby for some reason. Maybe he's still sad that Kirby is gone? But he also kept saying how he missed him even though they had seen each other this morning. He must be afraid that Lucas is going to leave him or something. His anxiety is definitely flaring up. Bringing it up might trigger him. If he wants to talk to him about it, he'll bring it up again. Right now he looks ok. He didn't want to ruin the moment. However, reassuring him won't hurt.

"I just want to let you know that I'm not going anywhere," Lucas said.

"Thank you. I appreciate it."

Ness patted the bed signaling for Lucas to sit next to him. Lucas happily listened. Ness put his hand on his boyfriend's lap and kissed Lucas on the lips. The two started making out.

"I'm sorry if I've been acting on edge lately. I just… Love you," Ness said, sweetly.

"You don't have to apologize. I'll help you every step of the way. I love you too."

The two started making out again. It started off gentle and sweet, but one thing led to another and they started taking their clothes off.
