Rosemary-3, also known as Ruby Rose, who just trying to recreate a strange machine from a random blueprint she found during her 'searching mission' with her squad. Until she finally finishes it, she and her team have been sucked into the alternative world, where everything is different compared to their world

3. Chapter 1: First day in the 'Beacon'

In Ozpin's office. A day after 'The Meeting'

Ozpin: ''So how are they now?''

Glynda: ''Nothing bad happens, Ozpin. I don't know if someday we will meet people from the alternative world...'' She said it with big worries on her face.

Ozpin: ''They seem like professional soldiers rather than normal soldiers, But they still are the good people that we can trust. Their eyes say it a lot.''

Glynda: ''I wasn't sure but... Does it seem to be a bad idea to invite them to become students in this school? What about their counterpart? I mean, The actual RWBY in our world? They could be a problem to them right?''

Ozpin: ''Don't need to worry about that, they said they will do their best to hide their true identity too, and I also work on, faking their identity''

Glynda: ''And you also said that they don't have Semblance or Aura like us. Then how we can show their Aura bar when they are in dual?''

Ozpin: ''...''

Glynda: ''Really... Ozpin you made a failure again...''

Ozpin: ''Just... Don't show the Aura bar...''

Glynda: ''You mention that they have a power which is called ''Selias's power'' right?

Ozpin: ''Yes.''

Glynda: ''But what is their power like?''

Ozpin: ''They said it works kinda similar to magic but with a lot of weakness.''

Glynda: ''It seems we still need to be wary of them.''

The RWBY-4 SQUAD'S DOTORITY. 12:00 PM

Rose Mary: ''I can't believe one day we will be back our 17! And I am even younger!''

They are both cheering each other because somehow crossing that gate, makes their entire physical body back to their 17, except Rose Mary. She turns into 15, not like other

Yodun Gold: ''Yeah! Crossing that gate is a good idea!''

Blank Feral: ''Never thought I would be back my 17 either''

Wind Snowden: ''17...''

They are in their bunk bed, talking to each other as excited as they are. Knowing full well that their life in this 1 year will be more relaxing than before.

Rose Mary: ''I remember tomorrow we will anticipate a test to show our skills. And all of the students and our counterparts from this school will watch us, so... try to hide your identity as well as possible we don't want some unexplainable situation from them. Got it?''

WBY: ''Got it!''

Rose Mary: ''Good. Then let's check our equipment''

After that, Rose Mary and her team prepare everything and dye their hair. Rose dyed her hair to pink-grey. Wind's hair to blue-grey. Blank's hair to ashed-grey. Yang's hair to yellow-grey. A while later.

Wind Snowden: ''Not sure why we both agree to dye our hair to grey but oh well... I hope it sure does.''

Blank Feral: ''Trust me, it will work.''

Yodun Gold: ''Go to sleep 2 deadass, fucking 1:00 am already!''

WB: "Fine..."

Rose Mary: ''What is it... guys...*Yawn*''

Yodun Gold: ''Nothing, Rosy.''

Rose Mary: ''Ok...*yawnnn*''

Then she went back to sleep, Yodun lying on the second bed thinking deeply about herself.

Yodun Gold: 'Not sure how staying in this alternative world will help me cure their 'Pain', and their bad habit... But I will try my best then. *Haizz* I also don't want the same fate as my mother... Lost all limbs, failed the duty, dishonor, and 'pain'... '

She closed her eyes, ready to rest, let the darkest shallow her with no vigilance...

Tomorrow, the original RWBY team, in Professor Port's class

Ruby: ''I can't wait to watch new student show their weapon!''

Yang: ''Yeah, they definitely will be a good fighter, I can feel that''

Weiss: ''I don't know why both of you girls are so excited about them.''

Blake: ''...''

After that, another team is sitting right next to them, which is Team JNPR.

Jaune: ''Hey, do you know What does the new group of students look like? I only see them both have slightly grey on their hair''

Nora: ''I see them carry various backpacks and bags.''

Pyrrha: ''And somewhat off with their clothes...''

(author: ''Pyrrha... long coat and trench coat are the best clothes ever'')

Ren: ''I also see they wear some type of mask that covers the entire face, and only shows their hair''

Then Professor Port walked into the classroom.

Port: ''Class settles down. Today we will watch new students do their test before becoming students of Beacon.''

A monitor appears, showing the RWBY-4 squad full of equipment and supplies, standing on the catapult, ready to be launched

Ozpin: ''Hear this RoWerBeY team. Your test is to search a relics in the ruin. And bring them to me. And you will pass the test. Be ready in 3...2...1...''

Then they get launched from the cliff to the forest. Jaune sees that and mutters himself

Jaune: ''I hope they already have a landing plan...''

The Rowerbey team when they are launched, quickly grabs each other hand. And then somehow land directly on Ursa Grimm's body. The Grimm getting landed by the team, groans in pain.

Weiss: ''That is... the most reckless thing I ever see in my life...''

After landing on the Ursa, the Rowerbey team then quickly jumped out of its body. Rose Mary takes her scythe out

Ruby: ''That's a cool scythe! 2 guns on it!''

Yodun Gold takes out her gauntlet behind her back.

Yang: ''Wait? her left arm isn't already wearing a gauntlet?''

Wind Snowden unsheathed her sword. And pulled out her gas grenade.

Weiss: "That sword..."

Blank Feral is fixing her bayonet knife.

Blake: ''Why did she use a primitive gun compared to others?''

Yodun Gold then shot an electric ray (one barrel) at Ursa, making it focus on her. Rose Mary, quickly saw opportunity, dashed to the Ursa, hooked it on the neck, and pulled it to her, giving Blank Feral a chance to shoot it on the head. She uses a HEAT round (high-explosive anti-tank round), destroying the entire Grimm's head and body in one shot. (It is very loud too)

People who are watching the fight are all yaw drop when they see the power of 'Detruanto'. With the ability to end an Ursa grimm in one shot.

Ruby: ''Oh my... That was great!''

Blake: ''I didn't know that weapon would be powerful like that...''

Port in his thought: 'Interesting'

After that, the body of Ursa falls onto the ground and disappears. Because of the loud noise from 'Detruanto', it attached a hoard of unwanted Grimms—the Beowolf. Wind Snowden sees that, and quickly throws gas grenades everywhere, blocking entire the sight of those Grimm and poisoning all of them.

Weiss: ''Did she just weaken Grimm with just those gas grenades?

Ren: ''Now I see why they wear those masks now, it will prevent them from poisoning themselves''

(Author: ''No shit Sherlock, It won't poison Humans or Faunus which it is completely harmless to humans and Faunus. The reason they wear it is because it cools :P '')

Rose Mary takes out her Molotov. throwing it into them. It shattered when touched the ground and she hosted her scythe into sniper mode and started firing into the ground filling up Molotov's liquid. It started to burn, and every tree nearing it caught fire and burned as well. Those Grimm, some standing there scared, some trying to rush to the team, but they catch the fire by Rose Mary, and die. It is just like a cakewalk for the Roverbey team.

Pyrrha: ''They make it like a cakewalk...''

Port: ''I don't know, a glass of bottle will be a useful weapon like this.''

Weiss: ''To think about it, a glass of bottles is quietly cheap, and if contains fire dust inside it- !''

Weiss just had an idea about a simple bomb, yet effective that our world uses a lot.

Back to the Roverbey team. After almost burning the entire forest, they slowly moved deep inside the forest. They shoot down everything, every Grimm on their way. If a hoard attacks them, they use their grenade to destroy them.

Ozpin and Glynda watching their performance amazed them, they demolished the entire army of Grimms, and they just called themselves a normal SOF soldier.

Glynda: ''They... truly a super soldier...''

Ozpin: ''Indeed, so that's why I invite them''

Glynda: ''But also I don't see they use their power, all of them just use their arsenal...''

Ozpin: ''Just wait Glynda. They will show us Selias's power.''

Glynda: ''...''

Back to the Rowerbey team, they finally reach the ruins. But a giant bird-like Grimm appears out of nowhere in the sky, making Blank Feral quickscope it. The shot landed right on Grimm's wing, destroying it (actually, the Grimm tried to block it, but... this is a HEAT round so...). Yodun Gold notes it is still alive. She then quickly dashed to the wall the process to run on it at a speed that was even faster than a jet fighter, which showcases one of her Selias's powers, 'Wall runner'. Then she jumps off the wall when reaches the top of it, to the Grimm, and punches it while firing all of the shotgun's barrels at once (6 barrels). Delete the existence of it (basically, destroy it entirely, only a few body parts left). Then she falls, directly onto the ground creating an entire hole of it. People yaw drop and surprise after witnessing the power of 'Potentia'.

Ruby: ''That...''

Yang: ''Killing Nevermore with only one punch... Something that I can't even do...''

Nora: ''So her semblance is the ability to run on the wall?''

Jaune: ''I hope she is ok after that land''

After that, they see the Roverbey team ignore Yodun Gold and instead head to the relics.

Blake: ''Huh? They just ignore their teammate like that?''

Then they see Yodun Gold stand up (still carrying 4 backpacks). And headed to the ruin too, and when she entered inside she saw her team already clearing out the ruin. Grimm's corpses are everywhere and slowly disappear. Rose Mary noticed Yodun Gold, she grabbed a relic, then threw it at her, Yodun quickly caught it, then headed back to the exit. RWB grabs their relics and then follows Yodun.

Ruby: ''So they help her by clearing out those Grimm?''

Weiss: ''Seem like it...''

The Roverbey team quickly gets back, and hands all of the relics to Ozpin. The entire classroom is very impressive with their performance.

Port: ''Seems like, those new students have great potention as huntsman in the future.''

Yang: ''Wait? Where is their Aura bar-''

Port: ''Class dismissed!''

After that, the RWBY team and JNPR team decided to meet the Roverbey team. Right now, the Roverbey team is putting their belongings in the student locker, and also already changed to Beacon's uniform, while they are still wearing their gas masks. They activate the voice-changer mode of their mask and then speak to each other.

Mary: ''Goddamn... That is quietly relaxing...''

Yodun: ''agree sis''

Blank: ''Those Heat rounds destroy them so easily. I'm Gonna considering nerf me by using my knife from now on'' She said with a sarcastic tone.

Snowden: ''Gotta agree to you with it, it started to get boring to kill those Grimm, heck! Compare them to our world version. They are just a pest in it. Not worth to kill at all!''

Ruby: ''Hello!''

The original Ruby appears out of nowhere and surprises the Roverbey team. She is just like alt Ruby, except for her eye.

Mary: ''Oh hey! hello''

Yang: ''So you guys are new students right? I see your performance in that mission and you guys are so cool! ''

Yodun: ''Thank''

Weiss: ''You guys still wear those masks? Do you guys not feel uncomfortable with it?''

Snowden: ''Well... We find it cool to wear those masks!''

Weiss suspiciously looks at her, but she just shrugs off and doesn't mind about it.

Blake: ''So you are a cat faunus?''

Blank: ''Yes, why you ask though?''

Blake: ''Nothing...''

Jaune: ''Don't run away like that!'' *huff* *huff*

Ruby: ''Sorry jaune!''

Mary: ''so he is your friend?''

Ruby: ''Yes! Alongside his teammate! Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren!''

Mary in her thought: 'Goddamn she is such an energetic person'

Then they walked while chatting with each other. Ruby then asks them to sit right next to them while eating in the canteen. But the Roverbey team declined. Saying that they aren't hungry (kinda true though, they only have 1-2 meals per day)

They walk around the school, talking about how fabulous and beautiful it is. Then they headed to the Beacon's farm. When they at there, they see a few students who are taking care of their crops. And some chicken running around. Mary sees it and just speaks to her teammate with a relaxing tone.

Mary: ''You know? When I retire, I will become a farmer. Back to the family's field, help our parents. Right, Yodun?''

Yodun: ''Yep, I much rather enjoy my life on the wheat field than get tortured by those Grims... How about both of you?''

Snowden: ''Of course, I will back to the lab.''

Blank: ''If my father doesn't get any better, I with my mom will live in a small town, And become a local doctor in it. If my father is better, then I want to open my hospital.''

Then Mary with her team left the farm. They headed inside the school, with a clear mind.

Entering the classroom, they see the RWBY team and JNPR team are already there, The Roverbey team decides to sit at the table right next to them. Both of the 2 teams see them and ask them a few questions. Then Professor Port entered the class.

Port: ''Alright new student. Roverbey team, please come here. Can you introduce yourself to the class?''

Then Mary, Yodun, Snowden, and Blank stand up and head to Professor. And start to introduce themselves.

Mary: ''Hello! My name is Mary.''

Yodun Gold: ''My name is Yodun Gold''

Snowden: ''My name is Wind Snowden''

Blank: ''My name is Blank Feral''

Port: ''Class, do you have any questions about them?''

Ruby hands up and asks the team.

Ruby: ''Mary. You are the one who uses the scythe right?''

Mary: ''Yes, I'm the one who uses the scythe in the team, but also the one creating it'' She said with pride.

Ruby: ''That's so Cool!''

Then next up to Weiss.

Weiss: ''Mary. I see you using a glass bottle that somehow creates a fire on the ground. So you are using fire dust to make it right?''

Mary: ''Don't ask me, ask Snowden. She is the one who creates it.''

Snowden hears that and prepares to answer but she chooses to lie instead.

Snowden: "Yes, I use a lot of fire dust, put it in glass bottles. And voila! A perfect weapon to fight against Grimm"

Weiss after hearing that took note of it. Not knowing what Snowden said was a goddamn lie.

Yang: "Yodun, what happened to your left arm? At first, I think You are wearing some type of gauntlet, but when look at it again. It's a robotic arm."

Yodun hears that just trying to think of an answer to her. But then she decides to tell her reason.

Yodun: "Well... In the past, my hometown was getting attacked by the Grimm. During that time, I was just a little girl, so I didn't know what to do so I hid... But it doesn't... work, A Grimm spots me and attacks me. Think I will die there, but a random huntsman quickly saves me from it. Unfortunately, My left arm was stuck in the debris, we had no choice but to let him cut my arm..."

Yang hears that just shock. Because of her childhood, She just feels bad about her because curiosity asks her about it.

Yang: "I'm so sorry..."

Yodun: "No need to worry about it. That is the past now, let it die."

Then next up is Blake ask Blank.

Blake: ''What is 'Detruanto' and 'Confodere' mean?

Blank: ''Detranto is the name of my rifle, and when translated, it is called 'Destroy'. While 'Confodere' is the name of my mother's knife, translated, it is called 'Stab'.''

Port: ''That is enough questions today, you students can ask more after the class. Please, Roverbey team, get back to your seats''

The Rowerbey get back to their seats. Then Professor Port prepares his lecture and starts his boring story.

Port: ''Today I will tell you a story about...''

*blah* *blah* *blah *blah*

Snowden talks to her teammate: ''Really? They learn and hear those stupid stories?''

Ruby: ''I don't know, but back in our world, Port is drill sergeant in boot camp you know? And he is the most respectful sergeant from the camp too.''

Snowden: ''Seem like I miss a lot heh?''

Mary: ''Yeah.''

Yodun: ''Killed a Grimm with a fucking fork? Damn, I should be challenging him a little dual.''

Blank: ''Just don't break his bone ok?''

Yodun: ''Got it.''

Blank: ''Mary, look at your counterpart.''

Mary: ''What?''

Then she turned around and saw Ruby playful with her pencil, and drawing some funny thing about Professor Port while her team was laughing at it. Mary just giggles at how lively they are and compares them back to her and her teammate's actual age.

Mary: *hee hee* ''Just like my pastself...''

Blank: ''By the way Yodun. do you use your power to finish Nevermore right?''

Yodun: ''Yep, I want to finish it fast you know? And that fall... ouch still hurt as hell''

Blank: ''Heh... I need to preserve my 'healing boost' for emergencies. So I only give you a 'Minor painkiller' instead... But next time don't show it like that ok? We still need to hide them.''

Yodun: ''Whatever... I have regeneration skill, so I don't need it.''

Snowden: ''Do you notice 3 students are glaring at us?''

Yodun: ''You mean Emerald, Mercury, and Cinder?''

Snowden: ''Yeah.''

YB: ''We notice them.''

Blank: ''I already feel uncomfortable when looking at them for the first time, so I don't want to talk about them. Mary, do you notice them too? I want to investigate them already...''

Mary: ''I notice them too, I don't know what is their intent right now but I feel something not right about them, is that they are not EMC we know. And we sure will investigate them.''

After Mary says that, she glares them back with a suspicious look hidden deep in her mask. While they are glaring at her and her team.

From EMC's side, while they glared at them.

Mercury: ''I don't know why but I feel like they are a potential threat to our plan.''

Emerald: ''I feel like it too. They just like... A walking corpse but with dangerous semblance.''

Cinder: ''Don't worry they are just still the pest. When facing a true death, their morals will fall''

(Author: ''Doubt'')

7 hours 30 minutes later

The Rowerbey team is walking alongside with RWBY team to their dorm. Surprisingly, their dorm is somehow right next to RWBY's dorm. Luckily, their dorm is sound-proof, which makes them less worry a bit.

Mary takes off her mask along with her teammate. They ready their equipment and plan what is their next plan in this school and how to track EMC's activities without alerting them.

Mary: ''...I wish I had brought my ski mask when I came here''

Yodun: ''Me too...''

Snowden: ''So what should we start first?''

Blank: ''We still don't know their true intent, but my skill said there is very wrong with them. I suggest I should stalk them like what Stalker Academy teaches me. They gather a lot of information about 'White Cross' by just stalking them and following them.''

One of Blank Feral's powers is the 'suspicious instinct'. With it, she can feel the dangerous things can may happen from a random person nearing her.

Mary: ''Approve. And Yodun?''

Yodun: ''Yes?''

Mary: ''We need you to scout around the nearby cities. And keep your profile as low as possible''

Yodun: ''Yes sir.''

Mary: ''And Snowden, I think you should use your sword more. The reason why I say that is because we need to hide our strongest arsenal. Luckily we still don't expose your strongest chemical gas which, of course, kills us too, if we aren't careful about it.''

Snowden: ''Yes sir...''

Mary: ''OK, we will start this mission. From now on we will call this. ''Nightmare Stalker Operation''. You will be the majority one carrying us here, Blank''

Blank: ''Got it''

Mary: '' 2100 we will get to action.''

In RWBY's dorm

Blake: ''Do you girls feel anything off with them?''

Ruby: ''What do you mean?''

Blake: ''I mean... Rowerbey team... I feel like they are hiding something from us''

Yang: ''Blake, I don't know but I feel like they are pretty nice people...''

Blake: ''Well, they are pretty nice to take too, but it just-''

Weiss: ''The way they talk and walk?''

Blake: ''Yeah, I somehow feel like they are dead people, like no soul or anything. Just a walking corpse that is still alive.''

Ruby: ''Wut?''

Yang: ''I think... we shouldn't talk about them. The more we talk about them, the more I feel uneasy with them...''

Blank: ''Well... I gonna stop then...''

Weiss in her thought: 'Snowden... Why do I feel something so familiar about her?...'

Then after that, they continue the activities they were doing.

2 hours later, In the Rowerbey's dorm.

Mary: ''Ok it's 9:30 Pm now... And I hope Blank will safely come back. Snowden?''

Snowden: ''Yes?''

Mary: ''Shall we go to the library? Sitting here and doing nothing makes me die of boredom''

Snowden: ''Yeah, I think we should. I also started to get interested in those 'dust' they are called.''

They stand up from their bed. Wear their mask and both armor and clothes. leave a note on Mary's bed. Then headed to the library. While walking, they take the scroll that Ozpin gave to them yesterday (the author forgot to mention that Ozpin gave them a scroll in the last chapter). And checking it.

Mary: ''Huh... The 'scroll' works like the same way our phone did...''

Snowden: ''Yeah, kinda surprising. But does it a little bit... Too fragile?''

Mary: ''They kinda sturdy though? although not sturdy like our phone, but this thing seems good to bring around you know?''

Snowden: ''Uh..."

Mary: "Also this school has internet too"

Snowden: "Wait? They have? Oh, nice!"

Mary: ''By the way. We have arrived at the library.''

Snowden hears it and then puts her scroll into the pocket full of chemical bottles. They entered the library. then they quickly head to the bookshelves. Searching for some useful knowledge and information.

Mary heads to the historical bookshelves.

While Snowden heads to the chemistry bookshelves.

Before Mary went to it, she saw a book of fairytale? She takes it, then continues to head to the history site.

And Snowden. She is already finishing choosing books. And it... a lot.

She slams all of them down to the nearby table. and start reading them.

Mary after a while finally finished choosing her books which are 5 historical books about each kingdom and the Remnant, and a book of all fairy tales in this world. Then she heads to Snowden's table and sits down next to her.

They just silently read books, and focus on it for a while.

3 hours later

Mary after reading all of the historical books. She takes the final book which is the book of fairy tales. When she opened it, she leaned on Snowden's shoulder. Snowden sees that a bit surprised, then she shrugs it off, doesn't care about it. They just chill there, reading their book, enjoying the time in the darkest of the library.

Mary in her thought while reading the fairytale: 'The Seasonal Maiden...'

She turns around to see Snowden still reading the chemistry book but now is taking some notes too. Mary asks her in a low tone.

Mary: "Hey Snowden"

Snowden: "Huh? What is it, Mary?"

Mary: "You know the fairytale about '4 Guardians and 4 Seasonal' right?"

Snowden: "Yeah, that is supposed to be just a fairytale, but somehow it's real and now they are getting protected inside the base. Rarely be sent on a mission. And why you ask Mary?"

Mary: "This fairytale book also has a kinda similar story about them, and they called 'the Maiden'. They held pretty much every big power if you ask me."

Snowden: "So... You want to find them?"

Mary: "Exactly. After Yodun finishes gathering intel about the city. We can start searching for them."

Snowden: "How about Ozpin? I see him hiding something from us."

Mary: "Yeah, I also see it. His eyes are saying a lot of it. What have you learned in those chemistry books, Snowden?''

Snowden: ''Oh? A bunch of stuff and it is quietly easy to learn too''

Mary: ''How so?''

Snowden: ''Here let's me show for you...''

Then after that, Snowden gives Mary a 2-hour lecture about how dust works and how to use it properly with another chemical.

2 hours later

Mary: ''Ok... That... kinda long''

Snowden: ''Want to take a rest?''

Mary: ''Sure...''

Mary was tired...littery, she was very tired after hearing a 2-hour lecture about Dust non-stop. But hearing how it works. She just has a dozen of ideas and tech to experience with them. And if combined with their Blastpowder, how powerful of it can be? How superior of it to before?

Then she pulls a pencil out of her pocket full of ammunition. And started to write and draw a few 'weapon' ideas in her mind. Snowden sees that just smiles and continues her things.

Then they burn their midnight oil in the library.

In Ozpin's office

Glynda: ''They don't cause any trouble today.''

Ozpin: ''Hmm very well. How about their power?''

Glynda: ''Only one showing, is Yodun. Her power is just to run the wall very fast.''

Ozpin: ''Ok... I think we still need to learn more about them...''
