A/N: I'm sorry for the delay, but I've been busy. My aim for this story is to try and do two or three chapters a month if I can, so if I'm late, it's because I'm busy.

In the city, both Spider-Man and Ghost Spider sat on a rooftop, eating a pizza together, their masks up to their noses.
"Well, this is nice." Ghost Spider said. "The city's been quiet today."
"It sure has." Spider-Man said.
He checked his watch as his girlfriend ate part of her slice, seeing it was nearly 8pm.
"And it's still early too. Maybe we can catch a movie before we head home, due to how quiet it is." he said.
"I'd love that." Ghost Spider said, eating part of her slice. "And the theater's nearby, so it won't take us long to get there."
"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed.
"Still, we better finish this pizza first." Ghost Spider said.
"True." Spider-Man agreed.
They ate the slices they had, then most of the rest of the pizza, until only two slices were left. Once they picked up the last two slices, they both turned and fed them to each other. Once they finished, they giggled and wiped each other's mouths.
"How'd I get so lucky to have you?" Spider-Man teased.
"Oh, because you're my nerd boy." Ghost Spider teased.
They both laughed while leaning closer to each other.
"Remember, tomorrow we have to meet up with Quake and those other new heroes." Spider-Man explained.
"I know, just so we know where to go if we find recruits for them." Ghost Spider said. "So, we can then direct them where to go?"
"Yep." Spider-Man agreed. "There's only one thing I'd like more than that though."
"And what's that?" Ghost Spider inquired.
"Spending time with my beautiful, kind, nerdy, superhero girlfriend." Spider-Man teased.
"Oh, come here, bug-boy." Ghost Spider said quietly, grabbing his suit.
She pulled him in for a deep kiss, which he returned, wrapping his arms around her. He fell onto his back with her on top of him, as their passion grew, before they pulled apart.
"I love you." Ghost Spider whispered.
"I know." Spider-Man said quietly.
They smiled lovingly at each other, then leaned int o kiss again, when they heard an alarm blaring.
"Oh!" Ghost Spider moaned. "So much for a night off?"
"I know what you mean." Spider-Man said, lowering his mask. "Come on."
Ghost Spider lowered her mask as she got off her boyfriend, then they both ran towards the edge of the roof and jumped off it. They both began swinging towards their left, as the alarm got louder, telling them they were on the right track.
"We're on the right track!" Ghost Spider called.
"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed.
They both swung on for a few more minutes, then landed in the street, but saw five thugs were already knocked out in front of a technology store, shocking the pair.
"Looks like someone beat us to it." Ghost Spider said.
"Yeah, but who?" Spider-Man wondered.
They both looked around, seeing people staring at them, before the store owner and his wife came over to them.
"Did you guys who see who did this?" Spider-Man asked.
"Two men." the owner explained. "One was dressed in green and yellow, while the other was muscular, wearing black and orange."
Both Spiders turned to each other.
"Looks like we might have our first recruits." Ghost Spider said.
"Yeah, if we can them." Spider-Man said. "Thanks, Mr."
They both jumped up and swung away, wondering who beat the thugs up. As they did, the owner and his wife both turned to each other.
"I'm glad those people showed up." he said. "Those thugs were trying to steal a lot the stuff in here."
"I know." his wife sighed. "We better tell the Cops when they get here."
The owner nodded, as they both walked back into the store, to see what had been damaged during the theft.
Inside an apartment building, were two young teenager boys, both sitting in the sitting room of an apartment. One was an African-American teenager with strong muscles, who was nearly blad called Luke Cage, while the other was a blonde-haired teenager called Danny Rand.
"Well, that was not what I was expecting, my friend." Danny said, sitting on the floor, crossed legged.
"Sure was." Luke agreed, sitting on the couch. "Still, something was weird?"
"What makes you say that, Luke?" Danny inquired.
"Well, I wonder what those thugs wanted in that store?" Luke questioned. "And that was the fourth store robbed this month by those creeps."
"Technology isn't my thing." Danny said. "So, I don't have a clue, Luke."
"Hmm? There are other technology stores in the city." Luke said.
He got up and walked towards a table with a laptop on, then opened it up and turned it on. Danny came up behind him as he began to work on the laptop, bringing up a map of the city. Luke kept typing, when four blips appeared on the map.
"Here, look at this?" Luke said.
"Hmm? I wonder if there's a patten here?" Danny said, putting his hand on his chin.
Luke looked at the map and zoomed it in on the four blips, seeing they formed four parts of an irregular pentagon.
"I think there is." he said. "They all seem to form a pentagon."
"Then what's the fifth store in that pentagon?" Danny asked.
"Mike's Tech Store, in W-20th street." Luke explained, pointing at it. "I bet you that's the next target."
"I agree. Tomorow night, Iron Fist and Power Man will investigate." Danny said.
He turned left, staring at two outfits lying on a table, which marched those the store owner had told the Spider Duo. The green and yellow one was his, while the black and orange was Luke's.
"We better get some sleep." Luke said. "We've still got school tomorrow."
Danny nodded before he walked off towards a door, then opened it up and closed it behind him. Luke shut the laptop down, then closed it before he got up, then he walked over to another door and opened it, as it was his room, and the other was Danny's.
The next day, at Midtown High, Peter was walking down the hallway with Harry - whose left arm was no longer in a sling - and Mary Jane.
"So, your Aunt's working at that new FEAST center?" Mary Jane asked. "That's nice of her, helping out the homeless."
"I know." Peter said. "She said I need to start saving up for a collage fund."
"Pete, you're one of the best in the year. So's Gwen." Harry reasoned. "You're both bound to get scholarships."
"Still, better safe than sorry." Mary Jane reasoned. "I mean, if you don't get one till later in the year, you've something to keep you there in the meantime."
"Well said, MJ." Peter agreed. "I'm still giving most of the money I make towards her through. That was the deal we made."
"How much are you keeping for yourself then?" Harry asked.
"25%." Peter answered.
"Well, that's decent." Harry reasoned.
"Hey, how's your arm by the way?" Peter asked, changing the subject.
"Well, it's still sore from what Bench and O'Reilly did, but it's nearly healed." Harry said, moving his left arm around. "I have to go for a check-up on Saturday to see."
The three friends stopped in the hallway, when they heard a voice.
"Hey, Pete!"
The three friends turned right and saw Miles coming towards them all.
"Who's that?" Harry asked.
"Miles, new transfer in Anya's year." Peter explained. "His Mom's also working at FEAST."
"So you met him when you were there for the Bugle?" Mary Jane inquired.
"Yeah." Peter said.
Miles made it to the three friends, then looked at them.
"Um, Pete, who are these guys?" he asked.
"Miles, this is Harry and MJ, my two best friends here." Peter explained.
"Nice to meet you." Miles said, holding his hand out.
"Same here." Harry said, shaking it.
Mary Jane shook Miles' hand afterwards.
"Hi." she said. "So, how are you enjoying Midtown?"
"Well, it's different from my old school." Miles said. "But, I'm adjusting thanks to Anya. So far though, we've only three classes together, so I might need more time."
"Hey, when we first met Anya, she was friendless here." Peter said.
"Which is understandable since we're in the year above her." Harry said. "After a while though, she managed to make friends here. I'm sure you will too."
"Thanks, guys." Miles said.
"Um, look, I better go." Mary Jane said, checking her watch. "I've got Drama, and with the-"
"We know, MJ. The performance is coming up." Peter said.
"Go get 'em, MJ." Harry said.
Mary Jane smiled and hugged both boys in a group hug, then kissed Harry's left cheek, then Peter's right one, making them blush.
"I'll see you guys later." she said, pulling back. "Again, nice meeting you, Miles."
She turned and walked off as the boys all stared at her.
"I better get going too." Miles said. "I've got Maths first thing today."
He walked past the two older boys, who turned to him.
"Uh, Miles." Harry said.
Miles stopped and turned to them both.
"Maths class is this way." Harry explained, pointing behind him.
"Oh!" Miles moaned, facepalming himself.
"Look, I'll show you the way." Harry offered. "I have to pass by there on the way to my first class."
"Oh. Thanks, Harry." Miles said.
Harry turned and walked off, with Miles behind him, as Peter turned left and walked off, as he had History. He soon came to classroom door, then opened it up, seeing Gwen, Sally, Hobie and Liz there. He walked over to the empty seat beside Gwen, just as the teacher, Mr. Julius Dell, came in.
"Good morning, class." he said, approaching his desk. "Now, just give me a minute, then we'll begin."
He turned and began to write on the blackboard, as Gwen passed Peter a note between them. He turned to her, who smiled, then he opened up the note.
"Jessica gave me the address of the Jr. Avengers base. We better go there after school to check the place out."
Peter turned to Gwen and nodded, then pocketed the note. The whole class looked at the board, seeing Mr. Dell had written on it 'World War 2'.
"Now, for today, we're going to learn about World War 2." Mr. Dell explained.
The class all looked at him, as he began the lesson.
After school, Spider-Man and Ghost Spider were both swinging towards a building in Brooklyn.
They soon landed near a garage building called Wilson's Auto on Stillwell Avenue.
"Well, we're here." Spider-Man said.
"You sure this is the place?" Ghost Spider asked.
"According to the address Mr. Stark gave us, yes." Spider-Man said.
They both approached the garage door, which then opened up by itself, then they stepped inside. They then both looked around, but saw no sign of another door.
"Okay, this is weird." Ghost Spider said.
"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed. "But this is defiantly the address."
They both turned as they heard a noise, then saw a hidden elevator shaft open up on the left wall.
"Whoa. Nice doorway." Ghost Spider teased.
"I won't argue there, my love." Spider-Man joked.
They both stepped into the elevator, then turned around as it closed it, then began to lower itself down.
"Gotta admit, nice way to hide an elevator." Ghost Spider smirked.
"Same here." Spider-Man agreed.
Once at the bottom, the elevator opened up to a room similar to the Rec Room in the Xavier's mansion, and the living room in the Avengers Tower. Inside the room, they saw Daisy, Ms. Marvel and Patriot, who were all waiting as they both stepped out of the elevator.
"I see you found the place." Daisy said.
The Spider Duo both approached the other three.
"Daisy." Spider-Man said. "Or is Quake here?"
"Daisy here, but if we meet in the field, it's Quake." Daisy explained.
"Okay." Spider-Man said, as Ghost Spider nodded. "Great hiding place."
"Defiantly." Ghost Spider agreed. "Pretty cool."
"Thanks." Patriot said.
"Tony told you about them both?" Daisy asked.
"Yes, he did." Spider-Man said, turning to Patriot. ""Patriot, isn't it?"
"Yes." Patriot said, shaking Ghost Spider's hand. "Nice to meet you both."
"Likewise." Ghost Spider said.
"Same here." Spider-Man said, shaking his hand, before turning to Ms. Marvel. "And you're Ms. Marvel aren't you?"
Ms. Marvel smiled widely and nodded, then came over to them both, before she stretched her arm out slightly, looking at Spider-Man carefully.
"It's such an honor, Spider-Man." Ms. Marvel said, acting like a schoolgirl. "You don't know how happy I am to meet you. I've always admired you."
Spider-Man looked speechless before she hugged him tight, while Ghost Spider frowned under her mask, folding her arms, as she remembered seeing this when she first met the X-Men.
"Great, another hero who has a crush on my boyfriend?" Ghost Spider thought, annoyed. "She better get over it like Kitty did, 'cause he's all mine!"
Ms. Marvel pulled away from Spider-Man, then turned to Ghost Spider, who cleared her throat.
"Oh, hi, Ghost Spider." she said nervously. "Um..."
Ghost Spider glared at her, putting her fists on her hips, which Patriot and Daisy noticed.
"So, you two have any recruits for us?" Daisy asked, turning to Spider-Man.
"Well, we think we have two." Spider-Man said. "They stopped a robbery last night at a tech store, but we never saw them. It was only described from the witnesses."
"Oh, I see." Daisy said.
"Yeah, but if we find them, we're defiantly gonna tell them about you." Spider-Man assured.
"Well, good to know." Patriot said.
"Yeah." Ms. Marvel said.
"So, you two think you can find these two heroes?" Daisy asked.
"We think so." Spider-Man said. "We've noticed a pattern in a bunch of recent robberies, and they're just like the one last night. So, if we're right, we know where'll be later, if there's another tonight."
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Ms. Marvel asked. "Go get 'em."
"Okay, but you stay away from my boyfriend, Ms. Marvel!" Ghost Spider snarled, pointing at her. "I am the jealous type."
She grabbed Spider-Man's arm and led him away back towards the elevator, leaving Ms. Marvel shocked, as Patriot and Daisy both turned to her. Once both Spiders were inside, the door closed and the elevator began to move up towards the garage.
"I told you they were more than partners." Daisy said.
"I thought... I thought you were kidding." Ms. Marvel said.
"Thought or hoped, Kamala?" Patriot inquired.
"I... hoped." Ms. Marvel sighed.
Daisy approached her and touched her shoulder, as she heard from the X-Men about Kitty Pryde AKA Shadowcat had gone through what she was going through.
"You're not the first, Kam." Daisy assured.
"I'm...not?" Ms. Marvel asked.
"No. One of the X-Men was just like you. She's defiantly gotten over him through." Daisy assured. "She and Ghost Spider have actually become pretty close since then."
"She... She has?" Ms. Marvel inquired.
"Yeah." Daisy explained.
"Relax, Kamala. There's plenty of people out there." Patriot explained, touching her shoulder.
Ms. Marvel turned to him, then walked off slightly, still upset by the news.
"There has been a rumour all over the city that they're more than partners for nearly a year now." Patriot said, as Ms. Marvel stopped. "I'm surprised Jameson of the Daily Bugle has printed it. I can even picture the title; 'Spider-Man and Ghost Spider, New York's Bonnie and Clyde'."
"Ha. If Jameson prints that, I'll be sick." Ms. Marvel said, folding her arms. "But still, this might take a while to get over."
She turned around and sighed.
"You sure they're pretty strong, Daisy?" she asked.
"Yes. They've got a lot in common, masks on and off." Daisy explained. "I've noticed when I was undercover at their school, keeping an eye on them. I can't see them separating."
Ms. Marvel sighed and lowered her arms, not liking the news.
Outside, both Spider-Man and Ghost Spider jumped up and began swinging off into the city, before they both landed on a rooftop together. They stood beside each other, then looked down at the city.
"You okay?" Spider-Man asked.
Ghost Spider didn't answer as she looked at the city.
"Ghost, I get your mad at Ms. Marvel, but we've only just met her." Spider-Man said. "She probably didn't know about us."
"I'm sorry. You know I get jealous when girls flirt with you like that." Ghost Spider said. "Especially that Black Cat woman."
"It's okay." Spider-Man said, touching her shoulder. "If any male hero was flirting with you, I'd probably do the same."
"You... You would?" Ghost Spider asked, surprised.
"Of course, Ghostie." Spider-Man said. "You're the one and only one for me."
"Oh, Spidey." Ghost Spider said sweetly.
She lifted her mask up to her nose, then did the same with his, before kissing him hard. She wrapped her arms around his head to keep his lips on hers, as he put hers on her back, but then pulled apart.
"We better go." Spider-Man said. "Like I said, I found out that all the store robbery's lately have a certain thing in common, and if I'm right, I know what the next target is."
"Well then, let's get going, web-head." Ghost Spider teased. "If you're right, we might run into whoever stopped the last one while we're there, if they're there that is."
"Agreed, my love." Spider-Man smirked.
They both lowered their masks, then jumped off the rooftop and began to swing towards the area, hoping to get there in time and maybe meet the two heroes, as they had a feeling they'd be there.
That night, a van pulled up outside Mikes' Tech Store, then about six men got out. They all approached the left side of the van - which was the blind side - then gathered together.
"Right, you all know the drill, right?" the leader asked.
The other thugs all nodded.
"We sure do, Boss." one said.
"Okay then, let's get this over with." the leader said.
Two of them opened up the back of the van, pulling out two large bags from inside.
"Time to let this party begin." the leader said.
The others sniggered as they all put ski masks on over their faces, then they all ran around the van and towards the store, two carrying the bags. Two of the thugs pulled out HP DA pistols from their jackets, while the others pulled out crowbars from the bags, then the leader kicked the door down.
"Hands up!" the leader roared.
Several customers in the shop gasped and turned around, as the two thugs with guns fired a shot at the ceiling each.
"AHH!" all the women inside screamed.
All the customers held their hands up, along with the workmen, and the owner of the store.
"What are you doing-" he began.
One of the thugs whacked him in the chest with his crowbar, knocking him away.
"Ah!" he moaned, turning onto his chest.
"Get over there in the corner!" the leader roared.
Everyone by his men moved towards the far-right corner, with one workman helping the owner up as he did. The six thugs stared at them as they did, then the leader turned to the two with the pistols.
"You two watch them!" he ordered.
The two men nodded and moved closer to all the citizens, then pointed their pistols at them.
"Alright, boys, let's ransack this place." the leader said.
The two men with the pistols kept their eyes on the hostages, as the other four began to grab some of the technology in the store. They all put them into a large bag, as the other two laughed.
"You're not gonna miss all this." one laughed, with a southern accent.
The other four kept gathering things up, when the door opened up.
"Hold it right there!" a deep voice yelled.
The six thugs all turned around to the door and saw Iron Fist and Power Man standing across the street, the latter punching his fists, and who'd spoken.
"Who are you?" the leader demanded.
"Iron Fist and Power Man." Power Man smirked, as he folded his arms.
"And you boys made a mistake stealing from this place." Iron Fist said.
"Like we're scared of you two." the thug with the accent scoffed.
He fired two bullets from his gun.
"AH!" the citizens cried, ducking down, their hands over their ears.
Both bullets shot towards Power Man, but they ricocheted off him and hit the wall on his left.
"What?" the thug gasped.
"No way?" the other gasped.
They both fired their pistols at Power Man, as the other four charged at Iron Fist with their crowbars, who turned and ran out of the store. They all followed him, as Power Man kept walking forward, with all the bullets ricocheting off him, until their guns emptied.
"Huh?" they gasped.
"Not good." the one with the accent gulped.
Power Man smirked and picked them both up their shirts, then turned and threw them both out of the store door.
"AH!" they moaned, rolling over along the ground.
Power Man sniggered and ran out of the store.
Outside, Iron Fist ducked as one tried to whack him with his crowbar, then he punched it with his right fist, as it glowed bright, snapping it in half.
"Huh?" the thug gasped, backing away.
Iron Fist jumped up and kicked him away, knocking him against the back of the van, then he landed on his feet. He turned around as another came up behind him, then he turned and punched him in the chest as his left fist glowed, knocking him away.
"AHH!" he yelled.
He hit the ground and rolled over onto his back.
Iron Fist turned around to the other two, who both came towards him. He ducked as they both tried to whack him with their crowbars, before he punched them both in the belly as his fists glowed, knocking them both back and onto their backs.
"Oh!" they moaned.
All six thugs gathered together around their leader, as the two heroes both stared at them.
"Do you give up, or do you want some more?" Power Man asked.
To their surprise, the thugs all laughed.
"What's so funny?" Iron Fist asked, folding his arms.
"You really think you two can stop all of us?" the leader scoffed.
"What are you talking about?" Power Man demanded. "There's only you six!"
"No there isn't." came a cold voice. "Look out behind you."
Iron Fist and Power Man turned around, and saw over 20 more thugs, all armed with crowbars, chains and pipes.
"What the?" Power Man gasped.
"We figured they'd be trouble, after what happened last night." the leader said. "So, our Boss decided to have many more of us hiding and watching, in case trouble showed up."
"Still, it's nice to know it wasn't the Spider Duo for once." said one of the thugs across the street.
"So, you two gonna give up or not?" the leader asked. "You have 30 seconds to decide."
Iron Fist and Power Man turned and nodded to each other, then back towards the thugs.
"Never!" Power Man said.
"You may outnumber us, but that's not gonna stop us taking you all down!" Iron Fist said.
"Okay, have it your way." the leader smirked. "Get 'em, boys!"
The thugs all charged at the two heroes from either side, who both ran towards the larger group.
Iron Fist turned and punched one with his left fist, knocking him away, when another two grabbed from by the arms from behind.
"Hey!" he complained.
Both thugs pulled him away slightly, then a third came at him, but he lifted both his feet up and kicked him, knocking him away.
"Oh!" the thug moaned.
The two holding Iron Fist both punched him in the belly, making him lower his legs, then he fell to his knees.
"Oh!" Iron Fist moaned.
He looked up as a larger thug came up and whacked him with his pipe, knocking him away.
"Ah!" he moaned, hitting the ground.
At the same time, Power Man punched one in the chest, knocking him back into a wall, then he turned and grabbed another's pipe as the thug tried to whack him with it. He snatched the pipe from the thug, then kicked the thug away, knocking him out cold, then he snapped the pipe in half on his knee. He smirked as he turned to a few more, when two behind him wrapped a chain around each of his arms.
"Huh?" he gasped, looking at his left arm.
He turned to his right arm, as both thugs began to pull on the chains, but they snapped off, shocking them both.
"Huh?" one gasped.
"What the?" the other exclaimed. "Just how the hell did they break?!"
Power Man smirked and turned around to him.
"Ha. I have impervious skin." he smirked. "Harder than most. I can snap and break things easily."
"Uh-oh." the left thug gulped.
Power Man approached the one on his right, when a larger muscular thug tapped his shoulder.
"Huh?" he muttered.
He turned around as the larger thug grabbed him and picked him up.
"Your skin might be impervious to bullets and allow you to break stuff, but you can still be picked up by large people." the thug laughed.
He spun around and threw Power Man away, who hit the ground near Iron Fist, cracking it slightly as he did.
"Ah!" he moaned.
Both heroes looked up as the thugs gathered around them all in a circle, trapping them all.
"Some of these guys are pretty strong, even for me." Power Man said.
"Yeah." Iron Fist agreed. "I hate to say it, but they really did expect us. It was a trap, and we walked right into it."
"We defiantly need help then." Power Man said.
They both got up slightly, when the two large thugs grabbed them both and held them up.
"Time to finish you off." one smirked, holding Iron Fist up.
"You shouldn't have messed with us." the other smirked, holding Power Man.
They both moved to punch both heroes, when webs hit them both and pulled them back, making both heroes fall down onto their butts.
"Oh!" they moaned.
"Huh?" Power Man gasped.
"Is that...?" Iron Fist muttered.
They both looked up and saw the Spider Duo both perched on a lamppost across the street.
"Hey, there. You guys need some help?" Ghost Spider asked.
"Uh, yeah." Iron Fist nodded.
"Thanks." Power Man said, as they go up.
All the thugs looked up at them, including the two large ones.
"The Spider Duo!" the Southern one gasped.
All four heroes turned to them, as they surrounded them all.
"All four of you are gonna pay for this!" the leader growled. "Kill them all!"
The thugs all charged at the four heroes.
"Split up!" Spider-Man yelled.
He and Ghost Spider both jumped over some of the thugs, while Power Man and Iron Fist rammed one each, knocking them down, before the four heroes separated.
Iron Fist and Ghost Spider soon stood near each other, as several of the thugs surrounded the pair of them.
"Guess we're surrounded." Ghost Spider said.
"Not for we won't be, not if we work together." Iron Fist said.
"Okay, but what's your name?" Ghost Spider asked.
"It's Iron Fist." Iron Fist replied. "And I'll show you why."
Ghost Spider turned to him slightly, as he moved towards two thugs as his fists lit up, then he punched them both in the chest, sending them flying away.
"Whoa." Ghost Spider said. "I can see why you call yourself Iron Fist."
"Thank you, my friend." Iron Fist said.
They both turned away from each other, then Iron Fist punched a thug in the chest, while Ghost Spider jumped and spun around, kicking another away from her.
Nearby, Spider-Man and Power Man both stood back-to-back, as several thugs came at them both.
"Spidey, grab my hand?" Power Man asked.
"What for?" Spider-Man inquired, shooting a web at a thug.
"Just trust me?" Power Man said.
Spider-Man web-yanked the thug towards him, then punched him in the chest, knocking him away, before he hit the ground out cold.
"Okay." he said, turning around.
He turned to Power Man and took his hand, then Power Man spun around, kicking seven of the thugs with both feet, knocking them all down.
"Whoa, good tactic." Spider-Man commented.
"Thanks." Power Man said.
He turned around and punched another thug away, then rammed another, body tackling him to the ground.
Spider-Man dived and kicked one down, then turned and shot a web at another, hitting his crowbar.
"I'll take that." Spider-Man said, pulling it out his hands.
"Hey!" the thug yelled.
Spider-Man then dived towards him and kicked him with both feet, knocking him down. He then turned as his Spider-Sense tingled, seeing Power Man kick a thug away, when another came racing towards him on a stolen motorbike.
"Oh no you don't." he thought.
He jumped and dived over to Power Man, shooting a web line at a nearby lamppost, then pulled on it as he landed.
"Huh?" Power Man muttered, turning around.
He saw the thug on the bike race right into the web line, knocking him off the bike and onto his back. He then grabbed the end of the bike, then lifted it up slightly, before putting it down beside him.
"Nice trick." he commented, as Spider-Man turned to him.
"Thanks. You, okay?" Spider-Man asked, holding his hand out.
"Yeah, and the name's Power Man." Power Man said, shaking his hand.
"Okay...weird." Spider-Man admitted. "Is that due to your strength?"
"Yes." Power Man said. "Not Hulk or Thing standard, but my skin is harder than most."
"Right." Spider-Man understood.
They both turned as Iron Fist and Ghost Spider approached them both.
"The leader's getting away." Iron Fist said.
They all turned and saw the head thug running away down the street.
"Ghost, slingshot." Spider-Man said.
"Got it." Ghost Spider nodded.
They both shot a web to either side of the street, then linked the other half together.
"Iron Fist, get on." Ghost Spider said.
Iron Fist looked at them, then got onto the web.
"What you gonna do?" he asked.
"You'll see in a minute." Ghost Spider assured.
"Right. Together, Ghost." Spider-Man said.
He and Ghost Spider pulled the web back, then let go, shooting Iron Fist away, before he pounced on the leader, pinning him on the ground.
"OH!" he moaned.
Iron Fist got off him, then picked him up and carried him off towards the others, before throwing him down near his fellow thugs.
"Oh!" he moaned.
Iron Fist rubbed his hands and looked up at Power Man and the Spider Duo.
"Well, that's all of these thugs." he said.
"Good." Power Man said.
Sirens began to wail in the distance.
"And it looks like the Cops are about to show up." Spider-Man said.
Four Police Cars then arrived, then eight Cops inside got out, which included Lt. Watannabe and Sgt. Davis.
"Whoa. I didn't see this coming." Sgt. Davis said.
"Neither did I." Lt. Watanabe said. "Rogers, call for backup! We're gonna need help to take all these guys in."
"Understood, ma'am." Rogers said, taking his radio out.
The Lt. walked towards the four heroes.
"Thanks for the help, all of you." she said.
"Don't mention it, Lt." Ghost Spider said. "Glad to help, as always."
"Likewise." Spider-Man said, as Iron Fist and Power Man nodded.
Unknown to anyone, one of Kingpin's robotic cameras was above the street, looking down at everyone.
In the Kingpin's Skyscraper, Kingpin was sitting behind his desk, as Hammerhead and Alister Smythe both stood or sat nearby him. They all looked at the screen on the desk, showing the four heroes and the Cops.
"We'll take it from here, Spider-Man." the Lt. said.
"Understood. Come on." Spider-Man said.
He and Ghost Spider grabbed Power Man and Iron Fist respectfully, then jumped up and swung off.
"Blast!" Kingpin growled.
He slammed his fist onto his desk, then turned off the monitor screen.
"I take it it's bad news?" Alister inquired.
"Bingo!" Kingpin snarled, turning around. "Another robbery stopped!"
"By the Spider Duo, boss?" Hammerhead inquired, folding his arms.
"No! They had help from another duo!" Kingpin snapped. "Just how many heroes does this city have?!"
Hammerhead and Alister both turned to each other, then back to him.
"Well, I don't know, sir." Hammerhead shrugged. "But, due to what happened a few weeks ago, I'd say dozens."
"Why thanks for giving me your best guest, Hammerhead!" Kingpin growled, turning around. "The more heroes this city has, the more danger my criminal empire is at stake."
"Well, wouldn't Slivermane and the others say the same?" Alister inquired.
Kingpin glared at him, making him back away in his hover chair.
"I'm just saying." Alister assured. "And besides, what have the Spider Duo and their new friends done?"
"Well, Smythe, these heroes stopped us getting the tech we need for your latest project!" Kingpin growled. "Meaning, they've held us back again!"
"Hmm? So, what do you suggest, Boss?" Hammerhead inquired.
"I think it's time we got more help." Kingpin said. "Time for my son to return from Europe. Maybe with his help, these heroes the city have, will not be able to stop us as much as they have in the past."
"Your son?" Alister questioned, surprised. "I didn't know you had a son?"
"There's quite a bit about me you don't know, Smythe." Kingpin explained.
He turned back to his desk and picked up his phone, then began to dial his son's number.
Alister turned to Hammerhead. "Did you know he had a son?" he asked.
"Sort of." Hammerhead answered. "I didn't know he was in Europe though."
Kingpin put the phone to his ear, then began to speak to his son, Richard Fisk.
Later, the four heroes all stood on a rooftop together.
"Well, that was interesting." Spider-Man said.
"You're telling me, Spidey." Ghost Spider agreed, touching his shoulder.
They both turned to Power Man and Iron Fist.
"You two okay?" Ghost Spider asked.
"Yeah, thanks for the help." Power Man said.
"What was that all about?" Spider-Man asked. "I mean, we've heard there's been all sorts of robberies like that for a while."
"We've been dealing with them." Iron Fist began. "But, giving there's been a patten, we believe something bigger is planned."
"And it involves what they've been stealing, or at least tried to." Power Man finished.
"Weird." Ghost Spider said. "I wonder what could be going on?"
"We have no clue." Iron Fist assured, folding his arms.
"Whoever was behind this, probably wanted to use the technology to make something." Power Man deduced.
"Hmm? If that's true, then he won't like the news." Spider-Man said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he tries again or decides to abandon the plan for a while."
"Agreed." Power Man said.
"Still, thanks. We wouldn't have stopped all those goons without your help." Iron Fist said.
"Hey, it's no problem." Spider-Man said. "We're all heroes after all."
"Yeah, you're right." Power Man said. "The two of us never believed anything Jameson writes about you in the Bugle."
"Yeah, and after seeing you help us, it's confirmed that entirely." Iron Fist said. "He's just printed nothing but lies about you both."
"Well, glad to know that." Ghost Spider smirked. "We apricate it you two."
"Likewise." Iron Fist said.
He shook Ghost Spider's hand, as Spider-Man shook Power Man's.
"You know, there's a small team of heroes being formed with I think you both might get along with." Spider-Man said.
Iron Fist and Power Man turned to each other, then back to them.
"What's the catch?" Power Man asked, folding his arms.
"No catch." Ghost Spider said. "We're serious."
"Just go to Wilson's Auto on Stillwell Avenue and you'll see." Spider-Man said. "We'll let them know you guys are coming. The Avengers asked us to help them find recruits, you see."
Iron Fist and Power Man both turned to each other, then back to the Spider Duo.
"We'll think about it, Spider-Man." Iron Fist promised, bowing his head.
"Yeah." Power Man agreed. "And again, thanks for the help back there. We owe you one."
"And we always honor our debts." Iron Fist assured, raising his head up.
They both turned and ran along the rooftop, then jumped off it and down into a nearby alley.
"Well, they were nice." Ghost Spider said.
"Yeah." Spider-Man agreed.
He took out his phone and looked at the time, which said 9:40, as Ghost Spider looked at him.
"We better get back home." he said, lowering his phone. "Curfew's in 20 minutes."
"Okay." Ghost Spider said.
They raised their masks up to their noses and kissed briefly, before pulling away.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Ghost Spider said, as they lowered their masks.
"See you, Gwen." Spider-Man said.
They both jumped off the rooftop and began to swing off towards their houses.
The next day, Peter and Gwen were at their lockers at Midtown, sorting out their stuff, before they both closed their lockers.
"What's first for you today?" Gwen asked.
"Maths first, then Gym before Lunch." Peter explained.
"Same here." Gwen smirked, before holding her arm out. "Shall we?"
"We shall, Gweny." Peter teased.
Gwen smiled and linked her arm with his as they walked down the hallway. They both then stopped when Peter's phone rang, making them separate their arms, then Peter took it out of his pocket. He held it up, then they both looked at it, as an image of Daisy showed up on it.
"Daisy, what a surprise?" Gwen said.
"Mr. Stark give you this number?" Peter inquired.
"Sort of." Daisy answered. "Look, you've both done a good job in getting those new recruits for us."
"Power Man and Iron Fist?" Gwen inquired. "Guess they took up the offer after all."
"Yeah, they did." Daisy said. "They showed up this morning and told us you'd found them."
"Well, that's good to know." Peter said. "I'm sure you'll trust them both. And you'll find out what Iron Fist gets his name."
"We'll see, Parker. Have a nice day at school." Daisy said.
"Thanks." Gwen said.
Peter hung up his phone and put it away, then looked up.
"Come on." he said.
Gwen kissed is cheek, before they both turned and walked off down the hallway, with their arms linked again.
At the base beneath Wilson's Auto, Daisy put her phone away and turned around to Patriot and Ms. Marvel, who both stared at Iron Fist and Power Man.
"You can remove your mask and glasses?" Daisy said. "If we're gonna work together, we need to trust each other."
Iron Fist and Power Man turned to each other, then took off their mask/sunglasses, then looked at the others. Patriot and Ms. Marvel then did the same, as it was only fair.
"So, what's your names?" Daisy asked.
"Luke Cage, AKA Power Man."
"Danny Rand, AKA Iron Fist."
"I'm Kamala Khan, AKA Ms. Marvel."
"Rayshaun Lucas, AKA Patriot."
"And I'm Daisy Johnson, AKA Quake." Daisy said. "I'm the one in charge here. Now, if you would follow me?"
She turned and walked off, then led them all down a hallway.
"This place is amazing." Danny admitted.
"Yeah. Real secretive." Luke commented.
"Thanks." Daisy said.
"I'm surprised you're both not at school today, given your teenagers like us?" Kamala asked.
"Our school's closed today." Luke said. "There's been a huge power failure there."
"And yours, Ms. Marvel?" Danny inquired.
"Mine's closed due to it being under repair." Kamala explained. "It was damaged in a fight the Fantastic Four took part in."
"Oh." Luke said. "What about you, Rayshaun?"
"Mine's closed today due to a strike." Rayshaun explained. "It re-opens tomorrow though."
They all entered a room, which resembled the X-Men's Danger Room, causing Luke and Danny to look around.
"So, what is this place?" Luke asked.
"It's our training room." Daisy explained. "It's based on the Avengers training room and the X-Men's Danger Room. You two want to show us what you can do?"
Danny and Luke nodded, then put their mask/sunglasses back on, then approached the room. A bunch of metal walls rose up all around them both, as the other three heroes observed.
"Well, let's show 'em how good we are?" Luke smirked.
Danny nodded, as Luke ran forward, then slammed right into one of the walls, smashing it to pieces.
"Whoa. Nice." Rayshaun admitted.
"Thanks." Luke smirked.
Danny turned and punched one of the metal walls with his fist as it glowed, smashing it to pieces, shocking all but Luke.
"Wow. I can see why you're called Iron Fist." Kamala commented.
"Same here." Rayshaun agreed.
"Thank you." Danny said, turning to them, before bowing.
"I can see you two are gonna be nice additions to the team." Daisy said.
"Thanks, and we're glad to be onboard." Luke said.
He and Danny both turned and ran forward, as the other three smiled at their performance.
A/N: Iron Fist and Power Man have their looks from the first half of Ultimate Spider-Man - expect Luke has less hair on him.
