Hello everyone, sorry for the wait. Things have been busy, and I've been working on many things. Now let's start Chapter 4.
Chapter 4
Ride Off Into The Forest, City, and River
After running for a bit, with Diaz still in his Violet Iron form, Ion dropped to his knees, and Tear and Whina rushed to his side. "Hey, you okay?" Luke asked Ion. "Ion… You used Daathic fonic artes aboard the Tartarus, didn't you?" Jade asked Ion. "That thing you did back at the cheagles' place?" Luke asked Jade.
"I'm sorry. My body just isn't built to use Dathic fonic artes. A fair bit of time has passed, so I thought I'd recovered, but…" Ion said to everyone, before going quiet. "Let's rest for a while. At this rate, we risk shortening Ion's life." Jade said to everyone. "Better idea, Ion can ride Miles. Miles is used to carrying people. So it won't be a problem." Diaz said to everyone.
"I hate to burden Miles. Let's just rest here." Ion said to everyone, as they all took a set on the ground. "Fine. Miles, Teudus, keep an eye out for trouble." Diaz said to Miles and Teudus, as he joined everyone on the floor.
After a bit, everyone explained everything to Guy. "So, you're an emissary on a mission to prevent war. But why would Mohs want to start a war anyway?" Guy asked Ion. "I'm afraid that's confidential to the Order. I can't talk about it." Ion said to everyone.
"In other words. He wants to start a war because of your church for some reason, and you want to stop him before he brings shame or worse to your Order. Tell me if I'm getting close?' Diaz asked Ion, as his face became a Y and N. "I can't say." Ion said to Diaz. "I'll take that as a yes." Diaz said to Ion, as the Y on his face glowed green.
"Whatever his reasons, this war must be avoided. We won't let Mohs interfere." Jade said to everyone. "You've sure gotten yourself wrapped up in a mess here, Luke…" Guy said to Luke.
"By the way, who are you?" Ion asked Guy. "Yeah. You look familiar. Have we met before?" Whina asked Guy. "No we haven't. But I haven't introduced myself, have I? I'm Guy. I'm a servant in Duke Fabre's manor." Guy said to everyone, as he stood up. "I still can't believe that's your name." Diaz said to Guy, as he had a flat eye look on his face, and everyone else shook Guy's hand.
But right as Tear and Whina walked up to Guy, Guy jumped back and had a freaked out look and pose. "What?" Tear asked Guy. "Aaaah!" Guy said. "Sorry, we don't speak freak out. Can someone tell me what's going on?" Whina said to Guy and asked everyone, as they all stood up.
"Guy doesn't like women." Luke said to everyone. "I'd say it looks more like a phobia." Jade said to everyone. "I find this ironic, a guy who looks and sounds like a ladies man, is scared of ladies." Diaz said to everyone.
"S-sorry… It's nothing personal… It's just…" Guy said to Tear. "If it helps, you don't have to think of us as women." Tear said to Guy, as she stepped forward. But this made Guy jump back again. Tear tired to move closer, but every time Guy moved back, freaking out. "Fine. I'll be sure to keep my distance. Will that take care of it?" Tear asked Guy, turning away from Guy and holding a hand to her head. "Sorry." Guy said to Tear.
(I wonder?) Teudus asked himself, as he walked up to Guy. Right as he got close to Guy nothing happened. Teudus then walked over and picked up Liran. When Teudus held Liran near Guy, Guy then jumped back, and had the freaked out look on his face. Teudus then walked forward and still held Liran in front of him. That's when Guy jumped back again. Teudus then had an idea, and a wicked smile appeared on his face.
(That's right you spotlight thief. This is what you get for stealing my amazing entrance!) Teudus said, as he started to chase Guy around with him holding Liran out like she was a bomb that was about to go off, all the while Teudus was laughing and enjoying this.
"Okay enough Teudus. You're grounded." Diaz said to Teudus, as he had an angry symbol on his face, and as he returned Teudus to his Pokeball. "Where did my cute, playful, Sprigatito go?" Diaz asked himself, as he put Teudus' Pokeball back on himself, with three water symbols on his face.
(Well at least we learn female Pokemon have the same reaction with Guy.) Miles said to everyone. "All that means is Guy's going to be harder to work with if we have a lot of girls, both human and Pokemon, with us." Diaz said to Miles, as his face had a girl symbol on it.
"Guy, I must ask you. If you serve House Fabre, you must be from Kimasca. Did you come looking for Luke?" Jade asked Guy. "Yes, under orders from Duke Fabre. We knew he'd disappeared into Maluth territory. I went by land from Chesedonia, while Dorian General Grants crossed the sea and started searching from Kaitzur." Guy said to Jade, surprising Luke and Tear.
"Master Van's looking for me, too?!" Lue asked Guy. "My brother's here?" Tear asked Guy. "Your brother? You mean…" Guy asked Tear, but was interrupted by Oracle Knights charging at them. "Oh, dear. It looks like we've run out of time to chat." Jade said to everyone.
"Th-those are people…" Luke said to everyone. "Luke, stay back! You know you won;t be able to kill them!" Tear said to Luke. "We don't have to kill them at all. We just have to stop them." Diaz said to everyone. "I don't think he're giving us much choice." Tear said to Diaz. "I don't care. I'm not going to kill them." Diaz said to Tear.
"You won't get away!" one of the Oracle Knights said to everyone, as they charged at everyone. "Miles I need you to go all out." Diaz said to Miles. (Terastal would help with that.) Miles said to Diaz.
"Just what I was thinking." Diaz said, as he pulled out a crystal orb, and held it up. "Now Miles use Dragon Rush." Diaz said to Miles, as he threw the orb at Miles.
The orb hit Miles, and crystals encased Miles. The crystals shattered revealing Miles covered in a purple crystal coat, and had hats that looked like crowns, with a purple dragon head and two wings coming out of the crowns, with the inside of the wings being red.
(With pleasure!) Miles said, as his hat let out a massive burst of sparkles, and he encased himself in purple energy with wings and a dragon head formed the energy around his head and the back of front legs. But this time the purple energy was all sparkly.
Miles then jumped up and came down on the Oracle Knights, causing a massive explosion, taking out most of the Oracle Knights and knocking them out, and scattered the rest.
"What was that? It was stronger than the last time you used that move?" Luke asked Diaz. "It's called Terastal, a power in my home land. It powers up a Pokemon and makes them a single type." Diaz said to Luke. "Single type?" Guy asked Diaz. "I'll explain later!" Diaz said to Guy, before jumping ahead of everyone, and started to fighting the Oracle Knights
Diaz kicked one in the side of the head and knocked the Oracle Knight out. Then he elbowed another Oracle Knight in the face, knocking out that Oracle Knight. Then two Oracle Knights charged at Diaz, but Diaz fired two bolts from his blaster, hitting the Oracle Knights in the head, and stunning them.
That's when Diaz charged up to the Oracle Knights and head kicked both of them, knocking them out. Then another Oracle Knight tried to stab Diaz in the back, but Diaz then back punched that Oracle Knight and knocked the Oracle Knight out.
"Where did you find this guy?" Guy asked Luke. "I landed on him." Luke said to Guy. "Huh? Well, we can't let him have all the fun." Guy said to everyone, before they joined the fight.
That's when a few Oracle Knights went around everyone, and tried to grab Ion. But Whina blocked their attacks with her shield, and made herself and Ion back away from the Oracle Knights. (Mist.) Inesa said as she let out a burst of mist around herself, Whina, Ion and Jataayu.
The Oracle Knights were surprised by this, but got over it and charged into the mist. (Reflect.) Jataayu said, as he made a glass barrier in the mist. This caused the Oracle Knight to crash into it. And it gave Jade and Guy an easy chance to kill them.
With Tear she started to sing, making what's left of the Oracle Knights sleepy. (Let me help. Sing.) Liran said, before she started to sing. Tear and Liran's singing caused all but one of the Oracle Knights to fall asleep.
The last Oracle Knight charged at Luke. Luke blocked the Oracle Knight's first attack, but he started to panic. (Luke, get back! Fire Spin!) Charcadet said, as he made fire burst under the Oracle Knight, trapping the Oracle Knight in fire.
After a few seconds of this, the fire stopped and the Oracle Knight fell to his knees. Luke looked at the Oracle Knight Charcadet buried with a freaked out look on his eyes.
"Luke, finish him!" Jade said to Luke. But Luke was getting scared and nervously started to raise his sword out. But before Luke could raise his sword up all the way, Diaz put his right hand on Luke's hand. "Luke, there's a better way." Diaz said to Luke.
That's when the Oracle Knight tried to attack Duaz and Luke, but the second he tried that, Diaz pointed his blaster at the Oracle Knight, and shot him, stunning him. Diaz then kicked the Oracle Knight away, knocking the Oracle Knight out in the process. "See. Better." Diaz said to Luke.
That's when Diaz noticed Jade about to kill one of the unconscious Oracle Knights. That's when Diaz shot Jade's spear out of his hand. "What do you think you're doing? You've already killed two people today. That's enough killing for one day." Diaz said to Jade.
"If we don't kill them now, they'll come after us." Jade said to Diaz, as he summoned his spear back in his hands. "I know that. But that doesn't make it right. They're still people. They have lives outside of being our enemies. These men have family, friends, people that love them in one way or another. And I won't let you hurt those people by killing these Oracle Knights." Diaz said to Jade.
"And if I choose to ignore you? What will you do?" Jade asked Diaz. "Then I'll force you to spare them." Diaz said to Jade. "Oh come now. With such high morals, you won't hit someone with glasses." Jade said to Diaz, flicking his glasses.
That's when Diaz fired a couple bursts of electricity into the ground between him and Jade, causing a dust cloud to form in front of Jade and around Diaz. Then Diaz came bursting out of the dust, his right fist heading straight for Jade's face.
But before Jade could react, Diaz's right fist stopped right in front of Jade's face, surprising Jade. That's when Diaz took Jade's glasses, before slamming his right knee into Jade's gut. Then Diaz did a flip kick to Jade's chin as he jumped back, and Jade moved back.
"There. Now you're not wearing glasses" Diaz said to Jade, tossing the glasses to Miles. "Fair point." Jade said to Daiz, rubbing his jaw. "Hey that's not far." Luke said to Diaz. "What can I say? I may not want to kill anything, but that doesn't make me a saint." Diaz said to Luke.
"He's got a point. A fight on the battlefield isn't as clean as practices, people will throw dirt in each other's face, hold some head back by pulling their hair, all sorts of things to survive." Guy said to Luke.
"Now where were we?" Jade asked Diaz as they started to fight. Jade charged at Diaz, and tried to stab Diaz with his spear, but Diaz dodged Jade's attacks, and then grabbed Jade's spear.
Then with a spin Diaz hit Jade with the back of his hand. This stunned Jade, and allowed Diaz to fire a few shots into Jade's chest. Diaz then let go of Jade's spear and kicked Jade in the chest.
"You're not bad. Now try this." Jade said to Diaz, as his spear became encased in electricity, and he charged at Diaz again. This time when Diaz blocked Jade's attacks, Diaz got zapped.
'I gotta figure out a way to stop his attack. Even if I block it still zaps me. So maybe I have to be creative.' Diaz thought, as Jade charged at him. Diaz then flipped his blaster so he was holding the barrel of it.
Then when Jade reached Diaz, Diaz made it so Jade's spear went through the handle, which surpied Jade. Jade then grabbed the base of his blaster, and then twisted it, forcing Jade to let go of his spear. Then Diaz did a sidekick to Jade's side, forcing Jade back.
"You gave your best shot. Now it's my turn!" Diaz said to Jade, as he spun his tire clockwise. That's when his feet glowed violet, and he jumped into the air. Then his thrusters turned on, and he came down on Jade. Jade tried a wind spell to blow Diaz away, but Diaz was unaffected, and hit the ground in front of Jade. The force of the kick missing was enough to knock Jade back.
"Why didn't you kick me? Holding back are we?" Jade asked Diaz, as he got up. "Kicking you could cause a lot of damage, and we're still on the same team, even if we have a difference on the topic of killing someone. Plus I'd rather not wake the Oracle Knights up." Diaz said to Jade.
"Well said. I think that's enough fighting for now. And since we're not going to kill these people. I suggest an alternate way to our destination." Jade said to everyone, as he walked to Miles, taking his glasses, and led everyone into a nearby forest. Everyone surged their shoulders and followed Jade.
Jade then led everyone to a hidden part of the forest. "This palace will be a good place to rest for the night." Jade to everyone. "Good, let's start making camp." Diaz said to everyone.
"Before that. Diaz can't you take off that armor. It'll be hard to hide with such a flashy suit on you." Jade said to Diaz. "Huh? I don't know how." Diaz said to Jade. "What do you mean? It's just some armor, just take it off like normal." Guy said to Diaz, before grabbing Diaz's helmet, and started to pull.
"Owh, owh, owh! Guy stop! You'll take my head off as well as my helmet at this rate!" Diaz said to Guy. Guy then let go of Diaz's helmet. "Well how did you get it on?" Guy asked Diaz.
"I don't know. I don't know how this thing works. I mean I kinda know how some of it works. But not all of it. Not even how to turn this off." Diaz said to Guy. "Well if you get power by turning it clockwise, couldn't turning it counter clockwise lower the power?" Luke asked Diaz.
"Like it would be that simple?" Diaz asked Luke. Luke then walked up to Diaz and turned it counter clockwise. And this caused Diaz to turn back into his normal form, with the belt still on him. "Are you kidding me? It was that simple!" Diaz said, looking at himself.
"See I'm not that stupid after all." Luke said to everyone. "Way to go master." Mieu said to Luke. "You got lucky. Now help make camp. I need to find a bush with my name on it." Diaz said to Luke, before walking away. "Why would a bush have his name on it?" Luke asked everyone. This made everyone groan and got to work making camp. "What? What'd I say?" Luke asked everyone.
After it got dark, everyone was setting around a campfire doing their own things. That's when Luke walked up to Diaz, with Diaz sitting down and holding his belt in his hands, and tinkering with it.
"What are you doing?" Luke asked Diaz. "trying to see what this thing does?" Diaz said to Luke, before turning the tire clockwise. But instead of transforming, it just let out a bright glow. Curious, Diaz kept spinning the tire. That's when a Tera Orb came out of the Belt. "Huh? I guess this thing can make Tera Orbs." Diaz said.
"Here you can have this one. Arceus knows you need more fire power." Diaz said to Luke, tossing Luke the Tera Orb. "Thanks. Uh, Diaz. Can I ask you something?" Luke asked Diaz, as Diaz made three More Tera Orbs.
"What is it?" Diaz asked Luke. "Why don't you like killing things? You have a lot of power, why do you hold back?" Luke asked Diaz. "The reason I don't like killing things, is a reason you haven't earned the right to know. As for the holding back. Who said I'm holding back. I'm winging it." Diaz said to Luke.
"But even then, you don't kill why?" Luke asked Diaz. Diaz sighed. "Like I said, you don't need to know. But if you need help figuring out your feelings, why not ask the others. I need to give these to them anyway." Diaz said to Luke, holding up the Tera Orbs, before walking away, with Luke following him.
The first person they walked up to was Ion. "Hello Luke and Diaz. How are you doing?" Ion asked them. "We're fine. I'm just trying to figure things out about this whole kill or be killed thing. I mean look at Jade and Tear, the two of them have it figured out." Luke said to Ion.
"I still can't understand why they can talk about killing someone with a calm and serious voice." Diaz said to Ion. "For Jade and Tear, fighting is their job, so the things they say can sound a bit extreme. You and Luke are civilians, so I think not wanting to kill is to be expected." Ion said to Diaz.
"Don't act like you know or understand me. I don't want to kill someone not because I'm not a soldier. But because it's my choice. I choose to be better than the people that take lives like it's a game." Diaz said to Ion.
"Ion, does it… not bother you that your subordinates kill people? Isn't your job to save people?" Luke asked Ion. "It can't be helped." Ion said to Luke. "And the reason it can't be helped is?" Diaz asked Ion. "Sadly, the Order of Lorelei has stopped being a religion of life. You'll see soon enough." Ion said to Diaz. "And with that useless answer. Let's go talk to someone else." Diaz said to Luke.
"Oh, right. I made these. So take it. It'll help Jataayu protect you." Diaz said to Ion, tossing him a Tera Orb, before they walked away.
They walked up to Jade. "Hey Jade. How are you feeling?" Diaz asked Jade. "Honestly, I feel great. Not a lot of people get the blood pumping like you did. If my artes weren't sealed, things may have gone differently. But no point on dewaling on that." Jade said to Diaz.
"Jade, can I ask you something?" Luke asked Jade, with a serious tune. "Why so serious?" Jade asked Luke. "Why did you become a soldier, Jade?" Luke asked Jade. "Are you scared of killing people? And I asked both of you that question?" Jade asked Luke and Diaz.
"It's not fear that stops me from killing people. It's pride." Diaz said to Jade. "Pride? I wasn't expecting that response." Jade said to Diaz. "I pride myself on not killing anything. If I killed someone then my pride would be shattered beyond any hope of repair." Diaz said to Jade. "Is that all?" Jade asked Diaz. "At the moment, for what you need to know, yes." Diaz said Jade.
"What about you Luke?" Jade asked Luke. Luke said nothing. "I Think your reaction is really quite natural. The world could probably benefit from having fewer soldiers anyway." Jade said to Luke. "I don't know what I should do…" Luke said to Jade. "Relax. You'll be protected until we arrive at Baticul. We'd be in quite a bind if you died on us." Jade said to Luke.
"Stop making fun of me!" Luke said to jade. "But I'm not. There's no shame in running or protecting your own life. Live a safe life inside a safe city, and hire guards when you're forced to leave it. That's how normal people live." Jade said to Luke. Luke then walked away. Diaz sighed and went after Luke.
"It must have been tough for you, suddenly thrown out into the world like this." Guy said to Luke, as he and Diaz almost walked past him. "I… I had no idea things were this bad outside of the city." Luke said to Guy, as he and Diaz stopped walking. "Sometimes, you can earn bounties for killing monsters and bandits. Outside the towns, killing people isn't considered a crime, as long as it's not proven to be for personal malice." Guy said to Luke.
"How many people have you killed?" Luke asked Guy. "Who knows? Less than that soldier right there, I imagine." Guy said to Luke, looking at Jade. "Aren't you scared?" Luke asked Guy. "Of course I'm scared. That's why I fight. Because I don't want to die. I still have things to do." Guy said to Luke.
"Have you ever thought the people you killed had the same thought as you killed them?" Diaz asked Guy. "Even if I did. It wouldn't have changed things. It would be either me or them. And I have things to do." Guy said to Diaz. "Like what?" Luke asked Guy. "Revenge." Guy said to Luke. "Huh?" Luke asked Guy.
"Just kidding." Guy said to everyone. "Please don't joke about revenge. That's not the kind of thing to joke about." Diaz said to Guy, before he and Luke walked away.
The next person they walked to was Whina. "What do you want?" Whina asked Luke. "Why don't you fight? Things are really dangerous out here, so why don't you have a weapon?" Luke asked Whina. "Look Luke. I've seen enough people get killed for one lifetime. And because of that, I can't even hold a weapon without freaking out. It took me forever just to use a shield without freaking out." Whina said to Luke.
"Why? What happened?" Luke asked Whina. "Why do you care? You're a Fabre. Isn't your family the kind of people that kill people for glory? Honestly I'm surprised that killing someone freaks you out so much. Shouldn't you be used to your family's trade?" Whina said to Luke.
This made Luke mad. "Luke, why don't you take this to Tear." Diaz asked Luke, handing him a Tera Orb. Luke said nothing and walked away. While walking away, Luke noticed Diaz give Whina a Tera Orb.
After dealing with Whina, Luke was a little annoyed and took a seat next to Tear. "here this is for you." Luke said to Tear, tossing the Tera Orb next to Tear in a huff. "Are you sure you're all right?" Tear asked Luke, as she took the Tera Orb.
"Huh?" Luke asked Tear. "The fighting was hard on you, wasn't it? I knew you were a civilian, but it seems I didn't really understand what that meant. I'm sorry." Tear said to Luke.
"Wh-why are you apologizing?" Luke asked Tear. "As long as I'm a soldier, it's my duty to protect civilians. Not being able to protect you means I wasn't strong enough. That's all." Tear said to Luke. "You're wired. To me, it just sounds like you're just trying to sound tough." Luke said to Tear. "Th-That's not true!" Tear said to Luke. "uh huh…" Luke said to Tear.
After that, everyone went to sleep. The next morning Luke was woken up by Tear. "Luke, wake up. It's time to get going." Tear said to Luke, as Luke got up. "Tear, Guy, and I will take up a triangle formation. You'll stay in the center with Ion and the Pokemon and defend yourself if necessary." Jade said to Luke.
"WHat?" Luke asked Jade. "In other words, you don't have to fight, Luke. Come on. Let's get going." Guy said to Luke. "And me? What's my role in the team" Diaz asked Jade. "Do whatever you want. If you don't want to watch us kill people, then you're free to leave." Jade said to Diaz. "Just because I don't want to kill someone or watch people die, doesn't mean I don't want to help prevent a war." Diaz said to Jade.
"In that case, you can be in the front, a powerhouse like you would be perfect for our front line." Jade said to Diaz. "Fine. but on one condition. Anyone I bet we spear, anyone you, Tear, or Guy bet can be killed if I don't stop you before you stick the finishing blow." Diaz said to Jade. "Very well. I see no harm in a little race. Shall we be off." jade said to everyone, as they started to move.
But Luke didn't move. "W-wait a minute!" Luke said, making everyone stop. "What is it?" Ion asked Luke. "I'll fight, too." Luke said to everyone. "Aren't you afraid of killing?" Jade asked Luke. "Of course not!" Luke said to Jade. "You shouldn't force yourself, Luke." Tear said to Luke.
"I'm serious! I mean, okay, yeah, I'm a little scared, but… If I have to fight to survive, then that's what I'll do. I'm not gonna hide in the corner!" Luke said to everyone. "I'm so proud of you, Master!" Mieu said to Luek, flying up into Luke's face. "Would you shut up!" Luke said to Mieu, forcing Mieu out of his face.
"Anyway, I've made up my mind. From now on, I fight. Without hesitation." Luke said to everyone. "To kill someone means to rob them of their future. Even if it is to protect yourself." Tear said to Luke. "And it can earn you the hatred of others." Guy said to Luke.
"Are you prepared to deal with that? Can you face that responsibility? Without running away? Without making excuses?" Tear asked Luke, getting close to Luke. "You said yourself, you aren't killing people because you want to. I've made up my mind. I'm not here just to be a burden. I'm gonna take responsibility, too." Luke said to Tear, walking away from her. "But." Tear said to Luke.
"I don't see any problem with that. We'll give Luke a chance to show us his resolve." Jade said to everyone. "Just don't push yourself too hard, Luke." Guy said to Luke, putting a hand on his shoulder. "And if you can't handle taking a life. Try disarming them and knocking them out. That'll bring a less bloody result." Diaz said to Luke. "I'll think about it." Luke said to Diaz, before they started to walk.
After a bit of walking they reached a large stone city, with a large stone wall around the city, and the city entrances guarded by Oracle Knights. This caused everyone to hide in the shadows of the walls, and look at the Oracle Knights.
"Why are the Oracle Knights here?" Luke asked everyone. "St. Binah's the closest city to the Tartarus. They probably expected us to stop here." Guy said to Luke. "For a Kimlascan, you're certainly familiar with Malkuth geography, Guy." Jade said to Guy. "I like reading about vacation spots. "Oh, I see. How nice." Jade said to Guy.
"Forget about a vacation. If they're waiting for us, we'll just have to move one." Diaz said to everyone. "Unfortunately no. I would very much like to get into the city and see if Anise is here. The question is how?" Jade said to everyone. "Colonel, look." Tear said to Jade.
That's when a wagon came rolling up to the gate. "We're from Engave. We're here to fulfill a purchase order for food supplies." The man driving the wagon said to an Oracle Knight. "You may pass." the Oracle Knight said to the man. "There's one more wagon after this one." the man said to the Oracle Knight before going into the city.
"How convenient." Jade said to everyone. "We're going to stop the second one and hitch a ride, huh?" Guy asked everyone. "Since jade wants to get into that city. That's pretty much the plain." Diaz said to everyone. "Let's go back down the road towards Engeve a little ways." Ion said to everyone.
"Yes, let's." Tear said to everyone, before they all started to walk back the way they came. Well everyone but Luke. "Hey, quit making plans without talking to me first!" Luke said to everyone, making Tear and Diaz walk back to Luke.
"Grow up." Tear said to Luke. "Yeah, you're not the boss of this group. We don't need your approval. Plus it's not like you have a better idea." Diaz said to Luke, before they all started to walk to the others.
After a bit of walking, they found the wagon. "Stop the wagon!" Luke said, as he ran in front of the wagon, making it stop. Then everyone moved up to the people driving the wagon and found Rose in one of the driver seats.
"Colonel Curtiss! Diaz! And you're… Luke, was it?" Rose said to everyone. "Rose. Good to see you." Diaz said to Rose. "Sorry about this, but do you think you could hide us in your wagon?" Luke asked Rose.
"We'd like to enter St. Binah, but a group of malcontents chasing Fon Master Ion are guarding the entrance. Could we ask for your assistance?" Guy said to Rose. "Goodness. My birthday Score didn't say anything about something like this happening." Rose said to everyone.
"Birthday Score?" Diaz asked, confused. "Please." Tear asked Rose. "Okay. We owe you for the trouble we caused with all the mistaken thief nonsense. Hope in." Rose said to everyone. "Thank you." Jade said to Rose, as they all hopped in.
A few minutes later, they reached St. Binah. "We're from Engeve. One wagon should have already arrived." Rose said to the Oracle Knights standing guard. "Right. Go on in." An Oracle Knight said to Rose. "Thank you." Rose said to the Oracle Knight, before making the wagon go into the city.
Once inside, everyone got off the wagon. "Well, this is where we part ways." Rose said to everyone. "Thank you for your help." Ion said to Rose. "Yes, thank you." Tear said to Rose. "Don't mention it. Take care, now." Rose said to everyone, before walking away.
"So, Anise is here, right?" Luke asked everyone. "She's to meet us at the Malkuth military base. If she's still alive, that is." Jade said to everyone. "Do you really have to say things like that?" Luke asked Jade.
"Don't worry, I'm sure she's alive. She's really stubborn. I doubt she'll die unless it's on her terms." Whina said to everyone. "Okay, Let's go." Luke said to everyone. "Try not to do anything to draw the attention of the Oracle Knights." Tear said to everyone.
"I know, I know. You don't have to tell me every little thing." Luke said to Tear. "Hmm? She's already got you whipped, huh, Luke? Princess Natalia's going to be jealous." Guy said to Luke. this annoyed Tear, and she grabbed Guy, freaking Guy out. "Don't say stupid things." Tear said to Guy.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Stop touching me! Please!" Guy said to Tear. Tear let go of Guy, and Guy fell to the floor. "Perhaps this journey will help Guy to overcome his phobia." Ion said to everyone. "Wishful thinking, but if we don't know the root of the problem, we'll never help Guy get over it." Whina said to Ion, before they started to walk to the Malkuth military base.
Once they reached the base, Jade walked up to some soldiers. "I'm Colonel Jade Curtiss, Third Division, Malkuth Imperial Forces. May I speak with General Glenn McGovern?" Jade asked the soldier. "Yes, sit. General McGovern is currently seeing a guest, so please wait inside." The soldier said to Jade.
They went inside, and found two men talking to each other in a conference room, one was a large man in military armor, and an old man with a massive beard that covered his body.
"Father, we've already been over this. Officially, the Oracle Knights are considered Soorers. We can't restrict their actions without a direct order from his Imperial Majesty." The man said to the old man. "Enough! You know how terrible the Hod War became with their involvement!" The old man said to the man.
"My apologies for interrupting." Jade said to everyone they entered the conference room. That's when the men noticed everyone. "Jade the Necromancer…" the man said to Jade. "Oh! If it isn't Jade!" The old man said to Jade. "It's been a while, Field Marshal McGovern." Jade said to the old man.
"I'm retired now. There's no need for those formalities anymore. And what about you? Don't you think it's about time you accepted a promotion? Even at your age, you could have easily made lieutenant general by now." McGovern said to Jade. "Oh. I don't know. I think I have my hands full just being a colonel." Jade said to McGovern.
"Is Jade somebody important?" Luke asked everyone. "Sounds like it." Guy said to everyone. "You and His Majesty go way back, don't you? Could you ask him to do something about the Oracle Knights?" McGovern asked Jade.
"I'm afraid they're after us. Once we leave the city, they should leave as well." Jade said to McGovern. "Are you sure? I heard talk about how they're waiting for some kind of violet warrior that used some kind of magic to freeze a large number of Oracle Knights. It's all they're talking about." McGovern said to Jade.
This caused everyone to look at Diaz with flat looks on their faces. "I assure you, they're after us. Not some made up warrior." Jade said to McGovern. "What's happened?" McGovern asked Jade. "I'm afraid I can't tell you the details. I'm under direct orders from His Majesty. I'm sorry." Jade said to McGovern.
"Colonel Curtiss. What business brings you here?" The man asked Jade. "Ah yes, My apologies, Glenn McGovern. Have you received any letters from a Fon Master Guardian?" Jade asked the man. "Ah, that… I'm sorry, but I'm afraid we opened it to confirm the contents, for security reasons." Glenn said to Jade.
"That's fine. There shouldn't be anything in there that would be a problem for you to see." Jade said to Glenn. Glenn then walked up to jade, and handed him a letter. Jade read it.
"It appears half of it is addressed to you. Here you are." Jade said to Luke, before handing Luke the paper. "It's from Anise, right? I could see her writing Ion, but me?" Luke asked, as he took the letter. "I think I can guess why." Diaz said to Luke, as he leaned in and read the letter along with Luke, with Guy also joining in the reading of the letter.
"Dearest Colonel Jade, I had a really scary time, but I managed to make it here. Don't worry, I'm taking good care of you-know-what! Aren't you proud of me? It looks like the Oracle Knights are going to close off St. Binah soon, so I'll go ahead to the next location. Is my beloved Luke safe? (Oh, I'm so embarrassed! I just confessed my feelings!) I'm really worried. Luke, I miss you so much. I can't wait to see you again! Oh, and give my regards to Ion, too. Bye-bye for now! Love, Anise." Anise said in her letter.
"I think I'm gonna be sick…" Luke said to everyone. "Damn, Luke, popular enough with the girls? Just don't get carried away. You're engaged to Princess Natalia, you know." Guy said to Luke. "You've got to be kidding. I don't want anything to do with that annoying chick." Luke said to Guy.
"Mind if I destroy this letter?" Diaz asked Jade. "Not at all." Jade said to Diaz. Diaz then took the letter and ripped it up. Diaz then tossed the pisces to Charcadet, and used Ember to turn the pisces to ash.
"What's the "next location"?" Tear asked Jade. "Kaitzur. It's a city to the southwest of here, on the other side of the Fubras River." Jade said to everyone. "If we make it to Kaitzur, we can rendezvous with Van." Guy said to everyone. "Van's there…" Tear asked Guy. "Hey. I don't know what happened between you two, but you're sister, right? Don't go trying to slice him up like you did in Baticul, Okay?" Guy asked Tear. "I know. I won't." Tear said to Guy.
"Well then, we'll bid you our leave." Jade said to McGovern. "If the Oracle Knights are chasing you, I'll gladly lend a hand. I was elected by the city representatives here. Come by anytime you need help." McGovern said to Jade. "Thank you, Field Marshal." Jade said to McGovern, as they left.
As they moved to the exit, they noticed the Oracle Knights were still standing guard. "Quick, Hide! It's the Oracle Knights!" Tear said to everyone, as they took cover.
From their hiding spot, they saw Arietta, Largo, and Legretta standing in front of the gates, with Legretta covered in scratches.
And a new young man with them. The young man had pale skin with messy dark green hair that stood up. He was wearing a black outfit with green accents and a bronze mask around his face.
"I still can't believe you did that to Legretta, Arietta." The young man said to Arietta. "Shut up Sync. it's all that jerks fault. His belt made me do it." Arietta said to the young man.
"Quiet both of you. Have you found Fon Master Ion?" Legretta said to Arietta and Sync, and asked an Oracle Knight. "It doesn't appear that he's entered St. Binah." the Oracle Knight said to Legretta. "Those people with Ion are the ones who killed Mommy… My liger friends told me. I'll never forgive them… especially that violet one." Arietta said to everyone.
"WHat about the Fon Master Guardian they said was hanging around?" Sync asked the Oracle Knight. "She appears to have made contact with the Malkuth military. But Malkuth is saying it's "classified" and is refusing to provide any useful information." the Oracle Knight said to Sync.
"If I hadn't let that Necromancer get the better of me, Anise would've never gotten away. I'm sorry." Largo said to everyone. "Ahh hah hah hah hah! That's why I told you!" A male voice said to Largo.
That's when a man on a floating fancy chair came up to the others. The man had white skin, long white hair, glasses that covered his eyes, and was wearing a black suit with a over the top pink flower like collar, white gloves, pale violet pants, brown dress shoes.
"The only one who can defeat that beastly Jade is the elegant servant of the gods. The Esteemed member of the Oracle Knights' Six God-Generals, yours truly, Dist the Rose!" The man said to everyone. "You mean "Dist the Reaper"." Sync asked Dist. "How is one so Beautiful as myself a "reaper" and not a "rose"?!" Dist asked everyone.
"There's no point in dwelling on the past. What do we do now, Sync?" Legretta asked Sync. "hey." Dist said to everyone, as they ignored him. "Withdraw the troops from Engeve and St. Binah." Sync said to Legretta.
"But!" Largo said to Sync. "Your wounds still hasn't healed. The Necromancer almost killed you. Why don't you take a break? And besides, the only way for them to cross the border is through Kaitzur. If we stay here and antagonize the Malkuth military, it could spark a diplomatic incident." Sync said to Largo. "Hey! Stop ignoring me!" Dist said to everyone.
"So next comes deciding how to deal with them at Kaitzur. Let's return to the Tartarus for now and consider matters there." Legretta said to everyone. "Inform the troops! First Division, withdraw!" Largo said to the Oracle Knight. "Yes, sir!" The Oracle Knight said to Largo before leaving.
That's when everyone else left. Leaving Dist alone "Grrrrrrrr! You're all just jealous of my intelligence and beauty! At least I have that majestic Scarlet belt to study." Dist said to everyone, before flying away.
"Damn… Largo survived." Jade said to everyone. "This is the first time I've seen the Six God-Generals." Guy said to everyone. "Who are the Six God-Generals?" Luke asked everyone. "The six executive officers of the Oracle Knights." Ion said to everyone.
"But there were only five of them." Luke said to everyone. "There's Largo the Black Lion, Dist the Reaper, Sync the Tempest, Arietta the Wild, Legretta the Quick, and… Looks like the one missing was Asch the Bloody." Guy said to Luke.
"I assumed Asch was the guy with long red hair that ambushed us on the Tartarus?" Diaz asked everyone. "Correct." Jade said to Diaz. "They're Van's immediate subordinates." Tear said to Luke. "Master Van's?!" Luke asked Tear.
"So was it Van who ordered the attack on the Tartarus?" Diaz asked everyone. "Master van would never do that." Luke said to Diaz. "If the Six God-Generals are taking action, then the one who's trying to cause a war is Van…" Tear said to everyone. "The Six God-Generals side with the Grand Maestro. Mohs is likely giving orders to Van." Ion said to everyone.
"Grand Maestro Mohs would never do something like this. My mission for the Grand Maestro is top secret, so I can't divulge any details. However, I assure you it is one of peace." Tear said to everyone. "I doubt that very much. Chances are it's peace for himself. The guy doesn't care about anything but his own adjective. He may even have Van and the God-Generals do his dirty work." Whina said to everyone.
"Wait a minute! Master Van wouldn't try to cause a war, either!" Luke said to everyone. "It's just the sort of thing my brother might do." Tear said to Luke. "What are you saying?! What about you, huh? How do we know you're not a spy working for that Mohs guy?!" Luke said to everyone.
"OKAY ENOUGH!" Diaz said to everyone, making all of them go quiet. "Look I have no idea what's going on, and frankly I don't care. What matters is stopping a war from stopping. We can worry/argue about who's trying to start later." Diaz said to everyone.
"He's right. Now's not the time to be worried about Van or Mohs. Right now, we have to get past the Six God-Generals and prevent this war." Guy said to everyone. "You're right. I'm sorry." Tear said to everyone. "Humph. I'm not accepting the apology of anyone who badmouths Master Van." Luke said to everyone.
That's when Diaz headlocked Luke. "Will you stop acting like a brat?" Diaz asked Luke, as he started to noogie Luke. "If you're done messing with Luke, let's head for Kaitzur, shall we?" Jade asked everyone. "You're unbelievable…" Guy said to Jade.
"Sorry to spoil the plain Jade. but we need to head to the inn and hide out there for the night. Ion needs his rest." Whina said to everyone. "Very well, let's head to the inn." Jade said to everyone.
After a bit, they made it to the inn, and relaxed in it. "By the way, Ion, where did they take you when they abducted you from the Tartarus?" Jade asked Ion. "To the Sephiroth…" Ion said to Jade. "The "Sephiroth"?" Luke asked everyone. "Yeah what's that?" Diaz asked everyone.
"The Sephiroth are the world's ten most powerful fon slots." Tear said to Luke and Diaz. "They're the planet's vital points. Places where memory particles, a kind of planetary fuel, concentrate and fonons gather easily." Guy said to Luke and Diaz. "I-I knew that. You don't all have to launch into an explanation like I'm ignorant." Luke said to everyone. (But aren't you ignorant?) Miles asked Luke.
"What did they do at the Sephiroth?" Jade asked Ion. "I can't say. It's confidential to the Order." Ion said to Jade. "Confidential. Top secret. Classified. You know things would go a lot smoother if you all didn't cling to these things and we might be able to figure things out." Diaz said to everyone.
"I'm sorry." Ion said to Diaz. "Oh, hey, Jade, how are you feeling? Is your body okay, I mean, with that fon slot seal and all?" Luke asked Jade. "My strength is somewhat diminished. My body's fon floats have been sealed, after all." Jade said to Luke.
"You're so considerate, Master!" Mieu said to Luke. "N-no I'm not! It'd just be a pain if this old man keeled over on us, that's all…" Luke said to Mieu, getting embarrassed. "Aww, you're blushing, Luke!" Guy said to Luke "I am not!" Luke said to Guy. "Is it going to be difficult to undo completely?" Tear asked Jade.
"A fon slot seal is like a lock with a code that changes periodically. I'm unlocking it little by little, but it looks like it will take a bit more time. Of course, my abilities are on a whole different level to begin with. Even after a partial drop, I don't imagine I'll have any trouble keeping up with the rest of you." Jade said to everyone.
"Man, You're obnoxious…" Luke said to Jade. "My apologies. It's my nature to be honest." Jade said to Luke. "Humph. Well, then, let's leave Ion in the hands of the great and powerful Colonel while we get some sleep." Luke said to everyone, before they left Ion alone with Jade.
Jade then turned away from Ion. 'That exhaustion has to be more than just a weak constitution… Could Ion be the same as Luke?' Jade thought to himself.
The next morning, everyone left St. Binah. After walking for a bit, they made it to a river with a lot of stone spikes sticking out of it. "What is this place?" Diaz asked everyone. "Welcome to the Fubras River." Guy said to Diaz. "And we're here, why?" Diaz asked everyone. "This is our best bet to reach Kaitzur without the God-Generals finding us." Jade said to Diaz.
"Kimlascan territory is just ahead, once we cross here, right?" Luke asked everyone. "Yeah, there's a city called Kaitzur after crossing the Fubras River. That whole area's a demilitarized zone." Guy said to Luke.
"Man, I can't wait to get back. I'm sick of all this stuff." Luke said to everyone. "Hang in there, Master! Cheer up!" Mieu said to Luke. "Do you ever shut up?! I thought I told you not to talk!" Luke said to Mieu, before stepping on Mieu.
That's when Miles bit Into Luke's leg again, and pulled Luke down to the ground. "Luke! Don't take things out on Mieu!" Tear said to Luke, as Miles let him go. "I'm sorry I dragged you into this, Luke." Ion said to Luke. "Tch." Luke said, as he got up.
"Well, it sounds like Luke's done whining. Shall we be going?" Jade asked everyone. "What do you mean, "whining"?" Luke asked Jade. Jade said nothing and walked away. "Hey! Stop ignoring me!" Luke said to Jade. "Just start walking." Diaz said to Luke, pushing Luke in the back, making him move.
While walking, they heard some rocks breaking. When they went to investigate, they found a dark big brown duck, with a long yellow beak and yellow flippers. In one of the duck's wings was a massive leek.
Everyone watched as the duck swung its leak around, and smashed a large rock into pieces. "Whoa, that's one crazy duck." Guy said to everyone. "That's a Farfetch'd, a Galarain Farfetch'd." Diaz said to everyone, as Diaz pulled out his Rotom Phone.

Text/The Farfetch'd of the Galar region are brave warriors, and they wield thick, tough leeks in battle.
That's when the Farfetch'd turned to everyone, with a mean look, as Diaz put his Rotom Phone away. That's when he noticed Guy, and pointed his leek at Guy. (You.) Farfetch'd said to Guy with a male voice. "Uh why is that duck pointing his weed at Guy?" Luke asked everyone.
This made Farfetch'd mad. He slammed his leek into the ground, and whipped a burst of sand into Luke's face. "MY EYES!" Luke said, as he started to rub his eyes.
(If you insult my honor by calling my leek a weed, I'll do more to you then a simple Sand Attack if you do that again.) Farfetch'd aid to Luke. "He said he's mad." Meiu said to everyone. "We could have guessed that ourselves." Diaz said to Mieu. "What does he want?" Ion asked everyone.
(I want a fight with that man.) Farfetch'd said to everyone, pointing to Guy. "He said he wants to fight Guy." Mieu said to everyone. "Me? Why me?" Guy asked Farfetch'd. (I see someone who mocks the art of fighting with nonsense in you.) Farfetch'd said to Guy. "He said, you treating fighting as a joke." Mieu said to Guy.
"I always take my fighting seriously." Guy said to Farfetch'd. (Prove it.) Farfetch'd said to Guy, as he got ready to fight. "You're on." Guy said to Farfetch'd, as he pulled out his sword, with it still in its stealth.
The two started to fight each other, kicking up a lot of dust. "Should we stop them?" Luke asked everyone. "I don't think we can." Diaz said to Luke. "We can't. So might as well enjoy the show." Jade said to everyone, as they watched Guy and Farfetch'd fight.
After 10 minutes of this, the fight was over, both Guy and Farfetch'd where dirty and tired. (You're pretty good.) Farfetch'd said to Guy. "So are you. You know I could use a Pokemon like you. I saw the others fight with them and it was very impressive." Guy said to Farfetch'd.
(Working with you. I suppose we can. I'm currently in a rut. So maybe joining you won't be that bad.) Farfetch'd said to Guy. "He said yes." Mieu said to Guy. "And if you want to be good friends with him, you should give him a name." Diaz said to Guy.
"Okay. Then what do you think of Lokej as a name? It means guardian of honor." Guy said to Farfetch'd. (Lokej. Yes. From now on my name will be Lokej.) Farfetch'd, now Lokej, said to everyone. "He likes it." Mieu said to Guy. "Well welcome aboard Lokej. I hope you're a big help. We're on a mission to prevent a war." Guy said to Lokej. (A noble mission, I would be honored to join it.) Lokej said to everyone, as they started to walk.
"Here Guy. a Tera Orb for you." Diaz said to Guy, as he made a Tera Orb, and held it close to Guy. "Thanks?" Guy said to Diaz taking it.
Some later, as they reached the river, they noticed three Pokemon drinking from the river. All of them were wired floating green serpent creatures, with three points on the lower tail, two flat oval hands on its tiny arms, big yellow eyes, and green plain wing-like fins on the side of their heads.
"Oh, a small group of Dreepy." Diaz said to everyone. "Dreepy?" Luke asked Diaz. "here." Diaz said to Luke, pulling out his Rotom Phone.

Text/If this weak Pokemon is by itself, a mere child could defeat it. But Dreepy has friends to help it train, it can evolve and become much stronger.
"So they're a team?" Guy asked Diaz, as Diaz put his Rotom Phone away. "Yes. but it's rare to see only three of them. Dreepy are very weak, they normally live in big groups." Diaz said to everyone.
That's when the Dreepys noticed everyone, and then flew up to Jade. They then started to circle around Jade's head. "What's going on?" Luke asked Diaz. "No idea. They must like Jade for some reason." Diaz said to Luke. "Why would anyone like Jade?" Luke asked everyone.
"What can I say? I have a natural charm." Jade said to Luke, adjusting his glasses. "Still what can you do with three weak Pokemon?" Luke asked Jade. "With my skill I can make these three a strong fighting force. One that we'll outshine you." Jade said to Luke. "Hey!" Luke said to Jade.
"So what are you going to call them?" Diaz asked Jade. "I'll call this one Susu 1. That was Susu 2. And the last one Susu 3. Susu means a very slight sound. A quiet person." Jade said to Diaz.
"Couldn't you think of anything other than Susu 1, 2, 3 for their names?" Diaz asked Jade. "Considering you call all of them Dreepy, I see no problem in calling them all Susu." Jade said to Diaz, before walking away, with the three Susu's following him. "I can't really argue with that. But you only get one Tera Orb from me." Diaz said, before everyone went after Jade, and Diaz made a Tera Orb.
After a bit, they reached the exit. But once they got near the exit, a liger blocked their path. "A liger!" Tear said to everyone. "There's someone behind them as well." Jade said to everyone.
That's when everyone turned around to see Arietta standing behind everyone. "It's Arietta the Wild. They've found us." Guy said to everyone. "I won't let you get away." Arietta said to everyone.
"Arietta! Please, let us go. You understand don't you? We can't let this war happen." Ion said to Aretta. "I… I want to help you, Ion… But those people are my enemies! Especially that man." Arietta said to Ion, pointing to Diaz. "Arietta, they aren't bad people. Especially Diaz, I've seen him fight to protect the lives of the people hunting us. He's a very good person." Ion said to Arietta.
"No… No… he isn't. He really hurt Mommy! Not only that, he really hurt my brother and sisters! Then he killed them all!" Arietta said to Ion, tightening her grip on her creepy doll. "Will you please make sense?" Diaz asked Arietta. "Yeah, what're you talking about? When did Diaz do something like that?" Luke asked Arietta.
"Mommy's home was burned, so she moved into the Cheagle Woods. She was just trying to protect her children… My brothers and sisters…" Arietta said to everyone. "Could she mean the liger queen? But, she's human…" Tear said to everyone.
"She was raised by monsters after losing her parents in the Hod War. She was recruited for the Oracle Knights because of her ability to communicate with monsters." Ion said to everyone. "Then the liger we killed was…" Luke said, but was interrupted by Arietta.
"That was Mommy! I'll never forgive you. I'll chase you to the ends of the earth… and kill you! Especially you Diaz! I'll never stop until I make you pay for hurting and killing Mommy!" Arietta said to everyone, while giving Diaz a mean look.
"Hey, that was self defense. I tried telling your mother to leave with her kids, but she didn't listen to reason. And even after I bet her, she still wanted to fight. Plus if you want to make the person that killed your mother pay, go after Jade, not me. He's the one that killed her." Diaz said to Arietta.
"How rude of you to throw me to the wolves like that." Jade said to Diaz. "Hey it's the truth. And I have the feeling you throw me to the wolves as a distraction." Diaz said to Jade. "Fair point." Jade said to Diaz.
"I don't care. I hate you. I hate you so much. And I'm going to kill you with your own weapons." Arietta said to Diaz. "What, you plan to use the Scarlet belt again? Cause that worked out well for you last time." Diaz said to Arietta.
"Asch took that belt away from me. So I'll just have to use your own knife to kill you." Arietta said to Diaz, as she pulled out an ignition key. But it was different from the Iron Bundle ignition key. One side was yellow and had an electric symbol on it and the other side brown and had a symbol of a fist on it, with one edge of the key looked like a bolt of lighting, and the other edge looked like a fist.
(I won't let you kill him. Axe Kick.) A male voice said from above. Everyone looked up to see something coming down. The thing came crashing down on the liger's head, forcing the liger into the ground and knocking it out the liger. Then the thing jumped off the liger and in between Diaz and Arietta.
That's when everyone noticed a 3 foot all black bug, standing on two legs with two tiny orange blades on it, arms with an oval wrist with two white claws and the back of the wrist was a tiny orange blade, a round face with orange triangles for eyes, to black antenna, a white line around it's waist with an X across the front of it chest, and on it's back was two flip knives with three tiny orange blades on it.
(Evildoer. You now stand before Ingvar the Lokix, your threat to my master won't go unpunished.) The bug said to Arietta, sticking a battle pose. (Why did it have to be you? You're just as annoying as Teudus. Couldn't we find you two last?) Miles said to Ingvar. "Miles, be nice to our teammate." Diaz said to Miles. "So that bug is one of your Pokemon?" Luke asked Diaz. "Yes. here." Diaz said to Luke, pulling out his Rotom Phone.

Text/When it decides to fight all out, it stands on its previously folded legs to enter Showdown Mode. It neutralizes its enemy in short order.
"But he's so small. Can he really have that kind of strength?" Luke asked Diaz, as Diaz put his Rotom Phone away. (Don't let my small size fool you. I am a great hero with powerful kicks. Double Kick.) Ingvar said to everyone, before jumping up and doing a flip, while flipping the blades on his back flipped open, and he slammed them into the ground, causing cracks to appear in the ground, before he pulled back his blades.
That's when the ground started to shake. (This is not my fault.) Ingvar said to everyone. That's when purple mist came out of the ground. "It's an earthquake!" Jade said to everyone. "What's that mist?!" Guy asked everyone, as the Pokemon freaked out. "The Pokemon keep saying bad. Bad. bad." Mieu said to everyone.
"It's the miasma…!" Tear said to everyone. "The what?" Diaz asked Tear. "Oh, no! The miasma is deadly poison!" Ion said to everyone.
"Aah!" Arietta said. That's when everyone noticed a burst of miasma came out into Arietta's face, causing her to fall to the ground while passing out. "This stuff kills you if you breathe it?!" Luke asked everyone, as he looked at a miasma burst.
"If you don't inhale a large amount over a long period of time, you'll be okay, Let's just get out of-" Tear said to everyone, but stopped when the ground started to sink. "Now what do we do?! We can't run away!" Luke said to everyone, holding onto Ion.
Tear groaned, before she started to sing. "Fonic hymns, at a time like this?" Jade asked Tear. "Wiat, jade. That song… it's one of Yulia's fonic hymns!" Ion said to Jade, before Tear let out a pulse of energy and the miasma disappeared.
"The miasma disappeared!" Guy said to everyone. "I've applied a vibration identical to the inherent vibration of the miasma. It's a temporary shield. It won't last long." Tear said to everyone.
"The seven fonic hymns left behind by Yulia… I'd heard rumors of them, but… I heard that they were too difficult for anyone to decipher…" Jade said to everyone. "Worry about that later. We need to get out of here." Guy said to everyone.
"Right. One second." Diaz said to Guy, before walking up to Arietta. "I'll take that." Diaz said to Arietta, as he took the ignition key from her, and put in one of his open slots. "Now let's get you out of here." Diaz said to Arietta, as he picked Arietta up, and held her in his arms.
When Diaz turned around, he saw Jade holding his spear towards Arietta. "What do you think you're doing?" Diaz asked Jade, holding Arietta away from Jade. "If we let her live, she'll come after us again." Jade said to Diaz. "You gotta be kidding me." Diaz said to Jade.
"Yeah… how can you kill someone unconscious and defenseless?" Luke asked Jade. "You both really are soft." Tear said to Luke and Diaz. "Shut up, you cold-" Luke said to Tear, but was interrupted by Diaz.
"Sure, maybe I am soft. And Arietta may want to kill me. But she's a child, an unconscious child. There's lines one must never cross no matter what's going on around them, and killing a child is one of them." Diaz said to Tear.
"You know, saving her, won't make her hate you less or make her change her ways?" Jade asked Diaz. "I'm not doing this so she stops hating me, or to make her my friend. I'm doing this because she's a child, and while she hates me now, she has her whole life ahead of her. And I won't let you take it from her based on the fact we're not on the same team. So get out of my way!" Diaz said to Jade, as he started to walk with Arietta still in his arm. Jade said nothing and moved out of Diaz's way.
"Miles, Ingvar, drag her liger out of here." Diaz said to Miles and Ingvar, as he kept walking. (Once again. I'm cleaning up your mess.) Miles said to Ingvar. (Just start pulling.) Ingvar said to Miles, before they started to pull the liger way.
Everyone watched this with confused looks on their faces, before they went after Diaz.
TWISTED REALM.
Meanwhile in the Twisted Realm, The cloak figure was moving everyone's pieces while Eshu added the 3 Susu's and Lokej pieces to the board. "I must say I'm surprised by Diaz, wanting to protect someone who hates him to the core, is a rare thing." Eshu said to the cloak figure.
"But that's why I wanted him. Someone to save lives, even when they hate him. He's just the man to face Yulia's score." The cloak figure said to Eshu. "I still don't see why you want to stop it. The people on this planet are terrible. Why not let them all follow Yulia into the Pit of Damnation?" Eshu asked the cloak figure.
"While that's true for many of the people on that planet. They see the score as the light. And as those of darkness, who are we not to pick a fight with it. Plus I want to see the looks on their faces when they learn what following the score really means." the cloak figure said to Eshu, before letting out a maniacal laugh.
