The time to head to the airport came too soon as Robert and Holly just wanted to stay wrapped up in each other as they always did. They were excited to get home though and introduce Jayne to the family she was kept from. They met up with her and headed to the airport. Another long flight. Holly went to the gift shop to grab some magazines, she also found an adorable stuffed animal she just had to get Seana and some other goodies.
Robert and Jayne were sitting waiting. "I really think you are going to love Port Charles, well parts of it." Robert said, like he had told Holly he really wanted to clean the town up but it was going to take some doing.
Jayne was curious what exactly he meant. "Level with me. What is so questionable about this town? I like to know the facts." She told him, wanting a straight forward answer. She just wanted to know what she was getting into it, if Robert and Holly were any indication it was worth it.
"It's the mob, it really needs to be cleaned up. You will be safe though, I will do whatever I can to make sure of that." Robert told her, meaning every word. He hadn't been able to be the father he should have been to her but now he planned on making up for that.
Jayne couldn't help but love the way he was wanting to look after her, she knew she could take care of herself. She had for most of her life but she also loved having parents that truly cared. "Do you think I can help?"
Robert was taken aback but at the same time saw a lot of Holly in her with that question. "Wait to see until we get home, I would like for you to see what you are getting into. It's going to take some time."
"If it means making this town as good as you and Holly said it once was I am game. I even looked it up last night. It's a gorgeous town but the mob is heavily tied to it. I also looked up you and Holly. You both were something incredible to that town or are. I saw some of the other stories about Holly too."
Robert cut Jayne off feeling like he needed to defend Holly, after all she was targeted because of him. "Don't believe everything you've read on her."
Jayne shook her head. "Robert I was raised by Alistair I would never look down on her. I was just doing some research. To be honest you both seem like good people and I'm honored to have come from you both."
Robert smiled at Jayne, it made him feel good to know she was proud of what she had read and that she wasn't holding anything against Holly. He knew she wasn't proud of some of the things she had done in the past and had spent years trying to make up for it.
They heard the announcement for their flight. "Well that's us." Robert looked around expecting to see Holly approaching them. "Holly?" He called out.
Jayne could see the worry on Robert's face. "I'm sure she is alright. Holly?" Jayne called out too.
Robert went towards the gift shop, hoping that she was in there. Much to his relief he saw her standing in line.
"Robert! I'm trying to pay for this stuff really quick, I found the cutest stuffed animal for Seana and a few other things I just couldn't pass up." Holly's face lit up, she couldn't wait to share them with him.
Robert wrapped his arms around her. "You had me worried." He smiled as he looked at her basket. "I can't wait to see it all."
They checked out and the three of them got on the plane. Robert and Holly taking their seats next to each other. Jayne was seated in front of them. "If you need anything to occupy your time I got magazines and puzzle books." Holly smiled as she pulled a few out.
Jayne didn't really think she would need them but didn't have the heart to tell Holly that. "Thank you." She took them from her and sat them on her lap.
"You're very welcome." Holly's face lit up, Robert wrapped his arm around her. The three were headed back home and they could not wait to get back there. Robert was excited for what he had in store for the town.
