Dragon-X: The Dimension of Dragons

The First Year of Duel Academy is over and the Summer Holidays are here. But an Old Enemy returns to steal the Old God Cards and use their power to take over the world. The team must band together again on another adventure to defeat them and recover the Old God Cards, an adventure which would take them to a whole new world.

27. Back at Home:

Back at Home:

Daylen, Aedan and Kallian stared at their friends who were also in their cell at the Prison of Aeonar. They did not expect to see their old friends of Alistair, Leliana or Zevran again, they had not been with them when they were sucked into the portal before. Just like everyone else, their clothing had changed, none of them were in their school uniform anymore. Zevran and Leliana both wore sets of Leather Armour while Alistair wore steel plate armour. Zevran's ears had also changed to become pointy like an elf's just like Kallian and Neria's ears had changed.

"What are you guys doing here?" Aedan questioned "How did you come to this world?"

"We had been wondering what this place is" Zevran stated "We remember seeing a flash of light while watching a duel and suddenly, the three of us ended up here dressed in these clothes and my ears changed."

Daylen sighed "How do I put this?" he questioned himself, "Well the shortest way is that we're not in our Dimension anymore."

"Our Dimension?" Leliana questioned, "What do you mean by that?"

"Well simply, our world is not the only world." Aedan stated "Shortly after the School year ended, those Venatori freaks kidnapped Solona and brought her here. We came here after her."

"This is not our world?" Alistair questioned "Do you know how ridiculous that sounds?"

Kallian sighed "I know it sounds crazy but believe us, it's the truth. We didn't believe any of it was true before but now we're stuck here."

"Well the idea of being in a whole new world does make sense with how our appearances changed." Zevran stated "But could you tell us more about what's going on here?"

"Well basically, Duel Monsters in this world is split into factions." Aedan stated "One for each monster type and the two major factions, the Warriors and the Spellcasters are at war with each other. We've all been captured by the Warrior Faction."

"As for the Venatori, they're controlling things from the shadows." Daylen stated "They helped start this war to weaken this world so they could take over it using the power of the Old Gods cards."

Kallian looked at Leliana, Zevran and Alistair "How did you three end up here anyway?" she asked "We all agreed to come here to try and find Solona but we were separated. But you three weren't with us when that happened, how did you get here?"

"It may have something to do with that duel we saw between Professor Dorian and that other man." Zevran stated

"Professor Dorian?" Daylen questioned

"Yeah we saw him while we were in Domino and he sounded worried." Leliana stated "So we followed him."

Flashback: Domino City, original Dimension:

Domino City, the home of the King of Games where he made his story known and home of Kaibacorp, the company that built and own Duel Academy. This was where the students of Duel Academy arrived when the ferry from Duel Academy brought them home but the students did not all live here. They would catch a plane from Domino city Airport to their homes where their parents would pick them up.

The Ferry had docked at the docks and the students were slowly disembarking the boat and friends stuck together. Here Alistair, Leliana and Zevran stood together as they left the boat.

Zevran stretched "It feels so good to be back here."

"I agree." Alistair stated "It feels so long since we've been here. It feels good to be back to normal after those Shadow Riders."

"Yeah, I still have nightmares from those days." Leliana stated "So what should we do now?"

"Well since we're here in Domino city, I guess we can maybe look around the sites here, I mean this is where the Great Yugi Moto grew up."

"True." Alistair stated but then he saw someone familiar "Hey, isn't that Professor Dorian?"

Zevran and Leliana looked at the man who Alistair was looking at and he was right, it was Professor Dorian from Duel Academy "It is?" Zevran stated "What is he doing here?"

"Maybe we should find out." Leliana stated "The teachers weren't supposed to come home yet."

The trio followed Dorian until he came to an alleyway where they saw him talking to a woman with short black hair who looked cross "I can't believe Lord Seeker Lucius is acting like this. He would rather abandon Aristide and the others in that Dimension."

Dorian nodded "Something is wrong Cassandra, he just demoted us for saying he was wrong. As Lord Seeker he should be taking these Venatori seriously but now he believes they're no threat, but we know that he's wrong. They just took Solona because they wanted her special card. If they got all of the Old God Cards, then who knows what could happen."

"Even if the Venatori are in another world, they'll still a threat to us." Cassandra stated, "I don't care what Lucius says, we're going to help Aristide and the others get back."

"But how do we do that?" Dorian questioned "Lucius just locked Alexius in the cells and no one is allowed to see him."

"I'll think of something." Cassandra stated "But some of the other seekers are getting suspicious of Lucius. They find it odd how quickly Lucius took over after Lord Seeker Aldren's death. Byron and Galyan suspect that something is up. They recently ask me to talk with them in private."

"You do that." Dorian stated "In the meantime, I'm going to try and find a safe place to set up the Ritual. We have to do it in a place where Lucius isn't going to find us. I'll find a way of getting Alexius out of prison."

"Good luck Dorian." Cassandra stated

"You too."

…

Cassandra made her way into a bar where she had been asked by her allies to meet with her. She was dressed in regular clothes rather than her Seeker uniform, so she wouldn't draw any unwanted attention. After ordering a drink from the bar she made her way to a table where she found the two people she had been looking for, Seekers Byron and Galyan. Byron was an older man in his fifties with greying hair and a bushy moustache. He had been Cassandra's mentor when she had first joined the Seekers and he had come to have been a father figure for her. He had been in the order for many years but he was never interested in leading and was devoted in the Seekers and had been a trusted friend of Lord Seeker Aldren. The other man Galyan was much younger and was someone who Cassandra had worked with in the past. His real name was Regalyan D'Marcall and was a skilled healer for the Seekers. He was also a trusted friend of Byron.

"Byron, Galyan" Cassandra greeted "It's is good to see you."

"It is good to see you too Cassandra." Byron greeted "I can't believe that Lucius demoted you like that. You've served the Seekers loyally for many years."

"He's up to something." Cassandra stated "Dorian and I know it."

"Well you are right." Galyan stated "I waited until now to tell anyone but I went to spy on Lucius, you know how good I am at sneaking."

"We know." Byron stated "Now tell us what you found."

Galyan replied by bringing out a small purple stone "I found this on Lucius' desk. This small stone is actually a communication stone and I can play back the message." He activated the stone.

"Well done my loyal servant." A voice called "You shall carry on your mission to prevent any aid from coming to stop me, soon the Elder One will rule all of these worlds." It was a good thing that with all the chatting going on in the bar, no one else heard what was going on.

"I remember that voice." Cassandra stated "That's Livius Erimond, a high-ranking member of the Venatori. This proves that Lucius has betrayed us."

"He has," Galyan stated "You and Dorian have to get to this world and help Aristide and get them all back here. Byron and I will get Alexius out of the cells and bring him to an old warehouse."

"But how will you get him out of the Seeker Headquarters?" Cassandra asked "Lucius will have the prison on lockdown."

Galyan smiled "I still know several secret exits." He stated "Byron will distract Lucius and I'll get Alexius out of the prison."

Unknown to the three of them, Leliana, Zevran and Alistair had been sitting nearby and had heard everything. "Wait, our friends are in danger?" Zevran said quietly so no one would hear them."

"We have to do something to help." Leliana stated

"And we will." Alistair added "They helped us when we were brainwashed by the Shadow Riders and now it's our turn to help them. We'll follow Cassandra to this warehouse and hopefully we can find a way to help our friends."

...

The Dimension of Dragons:

"We didn't know what we were walking into but we couldn't just sit back and do nothing." Alistair said to Daylen back in the Dimension that they had arrived in "But we couldn't just sit around and do nothing, not while our friends were in danger."

"So you just followed Cassandra without realising how much danger you were putting yourselves into?"Aedan questioned

"Hey, we didn't know that there was any danger." Leliana stated

"Forget about if they thought there was any danger." Kallian added "What happened when you followed Cassandra?"

"Well, what happened was not what we expected." Alistair explained.

Flashback: Original Dimension:

Alistair, Leliana and Zevran followed Cassandra to an old warehouse and as soon after Cassandra entered, they entered and found a large space that was full of boxes, they hid behind them so they wouldn't be seen.

Cassandra and Dorian were standing in the middle of the room with what looked like a large generate nearby "We just have to wait for Galyan to bring Alexius here."

"And hopefully he can help us create another portal." Dorian stated "Then we can head to this Dimension and get Aristide and the others home."

A few hours later, Galyan returned with Alexius "Cassandra, Dorian, I was able to break Alexius out of prison, but I'm worried that Lucius will find us. Byron remained behind to hold him off but he was aware of your plan. Daniel is helping Byron but they might not hold him off for long. Once we sort this out I'll have to reveal the truth to the other Seekers and tell them of Lucius' treachery."

"Right now, we need to get this portal created so we can help Aristide." Dorian stated and he looked at Alexius "How can we create this new portal."

Alexius walked over to the generator "It's a good thing my old equipment is still intact." He stated "This was the place where I first contacted the Elder One. With a bit more energy, I can open the portal from this side which will mean two of us will have to duel."

"Cassandra and I will duel." Dorian stated "That way we can make sure we don't overload the generator."

Dorian and Cassandra got onto opposite sides of the warehouse and had their duel disks ready. But before they could activate them, there was a loud bang and the door was blown open. Everyone watched as a figure entered the room and Cassandra glared at the grinning man who entered. "Lord Seeker Lucius!" she snarled

The man known as Lucius smirked, he had greying hair and a wrinkled face, he wore a suit of Seeker armour just like the rest of the Seekers but his eyes were glowing red "Cassandra" he replied "Did you really think that I would let you get away with disobeying orders. We Seekers work in the name of order and you go against my orders. Aristide got himself into this mess and so we are not obliged to help."

"We know the truth Lucius so you might as well drop the act!" Galyan snarled and he pulled out the crystal "We know that you're working for the Elder One and we have proof. But I would like to know why. You were once the best of us, why would you betray us."

Lucius laughed "We Seekers are abominations." He sneered "After my trainer Lambert died fighting that dark spirit, I learnt the truth about us, that we work with the spirits of Duel Monsters and it's clear that they are more powerful than us humans will ever be. It is time for a new order and I will help bring it. Once the Elder One finishes conquering the Dimension of Dragons, it will only be a matter of time before he comes here and we stand no chance. I'd rather be on the winning side."

"That's just a coward's way out!" Dorian hissed "You are no Seeker, you are a disgrace to the order!"

Lucius just smirked "I'm afraid that I cannot let this portal be created. I cannot allow you to mess with the Elder One's plans."

"You aren't going to stop us Lucius!" Dorian hissed and activated his duel disk "Cassandra, get Alexius away, I'll handle Lucius."

Lucius just laughed "So be it." He activated a crystal around his neck and a purple force field appeared around everyone which trapped them in the warehouse. This included Alistair, Zevran and Leliana. "I will duel you Dorian and then I'll duel the others." He activated his own Duel Disk and place his deck into the Duel Disk.

Dorian just glared "I'm not going down without a fight." He said as he place his deck in his duel disk.

"DUEL!"

Lucius: 8000
Dorian: 8000

"The first move is mine!" Lucius declared, "I'll start by activating the spell, Allure of Darkness. This allows me to draw 2 cards from my deck. In exchange, I have to banish a DARK attribute monster from my hand." Lucius drew his 2 cards before choosing a card to banish from his hand, "I'll banish my Dark Horus. Then, I'll normal summon Armageddon Knight in attack mode." A warrior with black armour with a sword appeared on Lucius' field (Level 4: 1400 ATK, 1000 DEF).

"When this monster is successfully summoned, I can send one DARK monster from my deck to the graveyard, I'll send away my Dark Simorgh." Lucius declared.

"He got rid of two level 8 monsters, what is he planning?" Dorian thought to himself.

"Then I'll activate the spell Veil of Darkness. And I'll place 2 cards face down, and end my turn." Lucius called.

"Very well, it's my move," Dorian declared, "I'll start by activating Continous Spell Fire Formation Gyokkou. Now you cannot activate one of your face down cards, I'll choose the one of the left." The face down card to Dorian's left froze to ice, symbolising it being unable to activate. "Then I'll summon Fire First Leopard." A young bronze warrior with the spirit of a blue leopard appeared on Dorian's field, (Level 3: 0 ATK 200 DEF). "All my Fire Formation Spells are Continuous Spells and they each give my Beast Warrior type monsters an extra 100 ATK points (Leopard 0ATK-100 ATK)

"Now I'll use Leopard's special ability, by sending it to the graveyard, I can select a Fire Formation Spell or Trap card from my deck, and place it face down on my field. Also, if it is a spell, I can activate that card on the turn it was set." Dorian called as Leopard disappeared and he chose a card from his deck, "I'll choose Fire Formation Tensu." And it was set face down.

"What was the point of that?" Lucius heckled, but Dorian was unfazed. "Now I'll activate Tensu. When this is activated, I can normal summon a Beast Warrior type monster in addition to my normal summon." Dorian declared.

"So that means 2 normal summons in a single turn," Alistair said to Zevran and Leliana who nodded to him.

"Now I'll use Tensu's effect to summon Fire Fist Gorilla," Dorian said as another bronze warrior, this time with a spirit of an orange gorilla appeared on the field. (Level 4: 1600 ATK-1800 ATK 1000 DEF). "Now attack Armageddon Knight!" he called as gorilla spirit surrounded the Knight and melted the armour, destroying him.

Lucius: 7600
Dorian: 8000

Dorian spoke again, "When Gorilla destroys a monster in battle, I can set another Fire Formation card from my deck and place it face down. This time, I'll choose the spell Fire Formation Tenki."

"Would it not be better to set a trap card from his deck instead of a spell?" Leliana asked to Alistair and Zevran.

"Not really, if he declared a trap card, Lucius would know what the face down card is and attempt to play around it." Zevran replied. "He can't activate a trap on the turn its set."

"Then I'll activate Tenki, it allows me to add a Beast Warrior type monster from my deck like Fire First Bear," Dorian said. "Now for Gorilla's second effect, I'll send Fire Formation Tensu to the graveyard to destroy one Spell/Trap on your field. Since the left one can't activate, I'll destroy the one on the right." Gorilla fired a fireball and shattered the face down card to bits. However, Lucius smirked at this.

"All that effort for little effect! The card you destroyed was Secret Blast, when this card is destroyed, you take 1000 points of damage." Lucius said as a small explosion engulfed Dorian.

Dorian: 7000

"He tricked him!" Cassandra said.

"What do you expect from a traitor?" Galyan shouted.

"Sneaky trick Lucius, I'll place a card face down and end my turn." Dorian said.

"My go, and I draw!" Lucius declared, "I'll activate the effect of Veil of Darkness, if I draw a DARK attribute monster during my draw phase, I can reveal it to you, discard it to the graveyard and draw again. I drew Cosmo Queen." He revealed another level 8 monster, and sent it to the graveyard to draw a card.

"His deck must be very graveyard reliant," Dorian thought, "there's no way he'd willingly toss powerful monsters like that to the graveyard."

"Now my plan has been fulfilled." Lucius shouted, "Now I have exactly 3 DARK attribute monsters in my graveyard so I can summon Dark Armed Dragon!" A huge black dragon emerged from the ground with heavy black armour all over him and gave a terrifying roar. (Level 7: 2800 ATK 1000DEF)

Dorian looked up and he recognised it. "That monster looks familiar," he said. His mind casted back to when Jaden and Chazz duelled in the School Duel as he was in the audience. He remembered the look of Chazz's Armed Dragon LV7 and it looked very similar to Dark Armed Dragon, only LV7 had red armour, not black. "Why does this monster look nearly identical to Armed Dragon LV7?" Dorian asked.

"Have you ever heard of the Dark Counterparts?" Lucius said, to which Dorian and Galyan nodded. "They are dark monsters that are identical to previously known non-DARK monsters, one of which is Dark Armed Dragon. Now I'll activate his effect, by banishing a DARK monster from my graveyard, I can destroy any card on the card. Also, it is not once per turn."

"That is one impressive effect, he can destroy as many cards as he would like!" Galyan said in surprise.

I'll banish all three DARK monsters from my graveyard to destroy your Gorilla, Tenki and Gyokkou," Lucius called as Dark Armed Dragon punched all three into smithereens. "Now that Gyokkou is gone, my face down card is now free and I'll activate it, escape from the Dark Dimension! This allows me to summon one of my banished DARK attribute monsters, welcome back Dark Horus!" Another Black Dragon appeared onto Lucius' field. (Level 8: 3000 ATK, 1800 DEF)

"He looks similar to Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8," Zevran said to Alistair and Leliana, "is this the theme of his deck?"

"It must be, more sinister versions of existing cards." Alistair replied. He then looked at Leliana who was haunted by the look of Dark Horus. "What is it? Alistair asked her.

Leliana was haunted as she used the Horus the Black Flame dragon against Sereda, "it brings back bad memories as a Shadow Rider."

Dorian was prepared for this, "I activate the trap Torrential Tribute!" he called, "This trap activates when you summon a monster, now all of your monsters all automatically destroyed."

"Say what!?" Lucius said in surprise as both of his monsters got destroyed.

"You could have destroyed it with your Dark Armed Dragon when you had the chance before using your own trap." Dorian said to him.

"I don't care what you say, I can do this in my way, and I don't need a professor to tell me what to do." Lucius replied. "I end my turn."

"Have it your way, I draw." Dorian called. "I Summon Fire Fist Spirit." A purplish spirit with a little white armour appeared on Dorian field (Level 3: 500 ATK, 200 DEF). "When this monster is successfully summoned, I can bring back a level 3 FIRE attribute monster from my graveyard like Leopard." The leopard spirited warrior reappeared (Level 3: 0 ATK, 200 DEF)

"Big deal!" Lucius hissed

Dorian responded, "They're not be too strong by themselves, but together is another story, Spirit is a tuner monster."

"A synchro summon?" Zevran said "That reminds me of how I duelled that Solana girl with my Blackwings."

"Hopefully Dorian will put it to good use" Alistair said. Spirit turned into 3 circles which engulfed Leopard who then turned transparent into 3 beams of light.

"When the power of the Fire Fist comes together, they form a prince monster, one who charges into battle! I synchro Summon Fire Fist Horse Prince!" Dorian chanted as a warrior riding a blue flamed horse appeared (Level 6, 2200 ATK, 2200 DEF) "When this monster is synchro summoned, I can summon a level 3 or below Fire Fist monster from my deck. I choose Fire Fist Rooster." A warrior with the spirit of a light purple bird appeared (1500 ATK, 100 DEF) When Rooster is summoned by the effect of a Fire Fist monster, I can add a Fire Fist monster from my deck to my hand, like Fire Fist Panda."

"Now both my monsters, attack Lucius directly!" Dorian commended as both Horse prince and Rooster fired coloured balls of flame which engulfed Lucius.

Lucius: 3900
Dorian: 7000

"He sure taught Lucius a lesson or two," Leliana cheered.

"Keep your voice down," Alistair responded, "we don't want to reveal ourselves, it will put further pressure on Dorian."

"I'll place a card face down, and that will do for now." Dorian finished his turn.

"You may have got me under half my life points but you will suffer for that!" Lucius declared as he drew his card. He looked at it in annoyance. "I'll place two cards face down and end my turn," he hissed.

"He definitely wants to tempt me to attack him," Dorian thought to himself. "But I can't hold back."

"Those were the only cards he had left in his hand, has he hit a brick of something?" Zevran asked.

"Either that or he's setting up a trap," Leliana said in response.

"I'm up then," Dorian said, "Horse Prince and Rooster, attack him directly again."

This time, Lucius planned for it, "I activate the trap, Waboku! I don't take any damage for this time."

"I suppose there was a reason you wanted me to attack, but I thought it would be a more powerful trap than that. I end my turn."

"Wait, during your end phase, I'll activate my other trap, Hope for Escape." Lucius declared. "Since you have more life points than me, by paying 1000 life points, I can draw a card for every 1000 life point difference between us."

Lucius: 2900
Dorian: 7000

"That's a difference of 4100 life points so he gets to draw 4 cards," said Galyan

"Practically a whole new hand, that's crazy!" Alistair said to Zevran and Leliana.

Lucius drew 4 cards before drawing a fifth card to start his turn. "I'll use of the effect of Veil of Darkness again, I drew Mystic Tomato so I'll discard it to draw again." He discard Tomato to draw a new card, "one more time, this one is Plaguespreader Zombie." As he discarded it to draw again.

"Next I'll activate the spell Burial from a Different Dimension, it allows me to take Armageddon Knight, Dark Simorgh and Cosmo Quenn that are banished and put them back into my graveyard. Then I'll activate the spell Monster Reborn, this will allow me to revive Dark Horus!" The Black dragon appeared back on the field (Level 8, 3000 ATK, 1800 DEF) "Now Dark Horus, attack Horse Prince!" Dark Horus fired a jet of blackened fire towards Horse Prince; but, Dorian saw it coming.

"I activate the trap, Fire Formation Tensen, This card increases Horse prince's attack points by 700 (Horse Prince, 2200-2900 ATK) "Oh and Tensen increases all Beast Warrior type monsters by another 300 attack points (Horse Prince, 2900-3200 ATK) (Rooster 1500-1800 ATK) and since I activated it during the damage step, you can't stop your attack!" Dorian said as Dark Horus' flame was reflected back at him destroying himself.

Lucius: 2700
Dorian: 7000

To Dorian's surprise, Lucius was laughing. "What do you find so funny?" he demanded.

"Did you not think I was planning for something like this to happen? Which is why I had this ready, I activate the Quick-Play Spell, A Deal with Dark Ruler! I can activate this card when one of my level 8 monsters is destroyed. Now I can summon this bad boy from my deck."

He took a deep breath as he chanted, "Behold as one sacrifice makes way for a monster that'll go berserk on all my enemies! I bring forth Berserk Dragon!" The dragon stood tall with sharpened teeth and gave a frightening roar. (Level 8, 3500 ATK, 0 DEF)

"3500 attack points!" Dorian gasped, "And to make things worse, Tensen's effect wears off so Horse Prince loses 700 attack points (Horse Prince, 3200-2500 ATK)

"And that is just for starters, next I'll activate Ego Boost so Berserk Dragon gains another 1000 points this turn," (BD, 3500-4500 ATK) "Berserk Dragon, finish off Horse Prince!" The dragon unleashed its wrath on Horse Prince with a roar so loud that it shattered Horse Prince to ash.

Lucius: 2700
Dorian: 5000

"And that's not all, due to Berserk Dragon special ability; he can attack every monster on your field so he can attack your rooster as well. So go, rip him apart!" Rooster suffered the same fate Horse Prince did

Lucius: 2700
Dorian: 2300

"Dorian!" Galyan called as his companion was knocked to the floor.

Zevran, Leliana and Alistair too were taken aback by the attack. "That attack felt it was real." Alistair said.

"So this means this really is what the Venatori are like," Zevran said. "I guess these must be that desperate to get Solona that they force everyone they come across to feel pain!"

Dorian finally got up, "Pretty clever combo I've got to admit," he said, "I shouldn't have expected less from a traitor!"

"Do you honestly think just a big lead in life points would last long?" Lucius sniggered. "You can't stop the Elder One, even your fellow professors or your Seekers."

"You're one to talk, you were supposed to lead us in the fight against the Venatori and you betrayed us!" Dorian bellowed

"Fine, fine, I did betray and just how do you think you're gonna stop The Elder One."

"Well if we tell you, you'll just whisk yourself off to the Elder One to tell him. So we won't tell you how, we'll show him how we'll stop him!" Galyan replied.

"We'll see," Lucius heckled, "I'll place 2 cards face down and Ego Boost's effect wears off so Berserk dragon's attack points return to normal. And unfortunately, during each of my End Phases, Berserk Dragon loses 500 attack points." (BD, 4500-3000 ATK)

It's my turn now, Dorian said as he drew a card.

"I'll start by summoning Fire Fist Bear." A red warrior with the spirit of an orange bear appeared onto the field (Level 4, 1600-1900ATK, 1000 DEF). Now I'll use its effect, by sending a Fire Formation card on my field to the graveyard, I can destroy one of your monsters. So I'll send my Tensen away to destroy your Berserk Dragon!"

"No way!" shouted Lucius as his dragon was decimated. (Bear, 1900-1600 ATK) "Now I'll activate my trap, Michizure. It activates when one of my monsters is destroyed, now I can destroy one of your monster's bid farewell to Bear!" Now Bear was engulfed in its own flames, self-destructing himself. "Then, I'll activate the trap Gravity Bind, now neither of us can attack with Level 4 or above monsters while it remains on the field."

"If Lucius is this strategic, who knows how strong The Elder One must be," Gaylan said to himself.

"Very well," Dorian spoke, "I'll activate Fire Formation Yoko, but then I'll chain Fire Fist Panda's effect from my hand, since I just activated a Fire Formation card, I can special summon Panda from my hand." A brave warrior with the spirit of a black and white panda behind him rose from the ground onto the field (Level 5, 2100-2200 ATK, 400 DEF). Then due to Yoko's effect I can discard Fire Fist Dragon from my hand to destroy Gravity Bind!" Now Lucius realised he was wide open now his defences were down.

"Then due to Panda's effect, I can summon one Fire Fist monster from my graveyard, I choose Fire Fist Gorilla!"

"I don't think so, I discard D.D Crow from my hand to the graveyard to banish your Gorilla from your graveyard. Since your Panda's target was no longer there, it can't resolve." Lucius responded

"Fine, I'll attack directly then!" Dorian snorted, "Panda, attack him directly!" Now Lucius was the one lying on the ground from the effects of the attack.

Lucius: 500
Dorian: 2300

"I thought the Venatori are supposed to handle Shadow duels like this," Dorian taunted, "Get up!" Lucius did eventually stand up again feeling the strain from this own force field.

"Dorian, almost had him there," Alistair said to Zevran and Leliana.

"Close but no cigar," Zevran said, "But at least Lucius' hand is empty again."

"He'll need some draw to overthrow Dorian," Leliana agreed in calmness.

"That's it from me, you're up." Dorian said.

"I draw," Lucius said. "You can't outsmart me, I know Panda's other effect, you can send a Fire Formation card to the graveyard to save it from being destroyed so I'll just get rid of it without destroying it."

"How did you know that?" Dorian gasped

"Let's just say I know your deck's ins and outs being your boss." Lucius sneered

"You aren't our boss anymore!" Galyan shouted 2And how do you think you can do it with one card?

"Not just one card, Galyan, three. I activate the spell The Beginning of the End! It it'll be the beginning of your end because now by banishing 5 DARK attribute monsters in my graveyard, I can draw three cards!" Lucius banishes Dark Armed Dragon, D.D Crow, Berserk Dragon, Armageddon Knight and Cosmo Queen and then drew 3 cards.

"Next I summon Mist Archfiend in attack mode." A red and black monster appeared with a white mist surrounding him. (Level 5, 2400 ATK, 0 DEF)

"I'm sure there's a reason how you're able to summon him even though he's level 5," Dorian said.

"You are correct, Mist archfiend can be summoned without a tribute but he will get destroyed in the end phase and I would take 1000 points of damage."

"But you only have 500 points left!" Galyan spoke

"Then its good thing he won't be sticking around. Next, by pacing one card in my hand back onto the top of my deck, I can resurrect Plaguespreader Zombie." A small purple monster crawled its way onto the field. (Level 2, 400 ATK, 200 DEF) "Then I'll activate the spell Star changing to increase Mist archfiend to level 6. Now Plaguespreader, tune with level 6 Mist Archfiend." Lucius shouted.

"What!" gasped Dorian and Galyan. Alistair, Leliana and Zevran were also in shock.

"You're not the only one around here who knows how to synchro summon Dorian," smirked Lucius as Plaguespreader turned into 2 circles which surrounded Mist Archfiend who then turned transparent into 6 beams of light.

"When the shadows are devoured by even darker shadows, a dragon flaps its wings to reveal a world without light! I synchro summon Dark End Dragon!" Lucius chanted as a new black dragon flapped its wings and starred down into Dorian's eyes. (Level 8, 2600 ATK, 2100 DEF)

"Another Dark counterpart I'm assuming." Dorian said.

"He certainly is and now to put him to use, I activate Dark End Dragon's ability, by dropping its attack points by 500, I can send one of your monsters straight to the graveyard so say goodbye to Fire Fist Panda since it can't protect itself." Dark end flapped it's wings which send a gust of wind making Panda disappear. (Dark End Dragon, 2600-2100 ATK)

"Now Dark End Dragon, Attack Dorian directly!" the dragon let out a smouldering black fire which struck Dorian so hard that he groaned in pain and then the explosion threw Dorian back into the force field which caused him to tell in pain.

Lucius: 500
Dorian: 200

"Oh no!" Cassandra gasped

"Professor Dorian!" Leliana yelled but she forgot about them trying to hide and her yell exposed hers, Zevran and Alistair's hiding spot.

Dorian got up having heard the yell and turned "Wait, Leliana?"

Cassandra looked over and gasped when she saw the three friends hiding near some boxes "What, how did they get here?"

Alexius widened his eyes "They must have been hiding here before we arrived."

"We overheard you and Professor Dorian saying that our friends were in danger and we wanted to find out why." Alistair stated to Cassandra

"You three really shouldn't have come here!" Dorian hissed "This is not a game anymore."

Lucius laughed "Well it doesn't matter to me." He sneered "They're here now and they will suffer the same fate as you."

Dorian now realised he had to end the duel quickly now that Alistair, Zevran and Leliana were present. "Lucius, this is the end of the line for you! It's my turn, I draw!" as Dorian started his turn.

"I summon Coach Soldier Wolfbark." A white wolf wearing blue trousers and sunglasses gave a howl as he leapt onto the field. (Level 4, 1600-1700ATK, 1200 DEF) "I activate his special ability, now I can bring back a beast warrior monster from my graveyard, I choose Fire Fist Spirit." The purple spirited monster returned from depths below (Level 3, 500 ATK, 200 DEF)

"Another synchro summon I'm assuming," Lucius said in a bored fashion.

"No, what I'm about to do is bring out a new addition to my fiery arsenal," Lucius stood back in surprise, "looks like you don't know all about my deck after all." Dorian said.

"I activate Fire Formation Ingen! When this is activated, I can fuse my Fire Fist monsters together, without using Polymerisation." Coach Soldier and Spirit lifted themselves off the ground and spun together into a portal.

"Two fiery beasts with the power the flames, now become one and scorch our way to justice! I fusion summon Fire Fist Swan!" Dorian chanted as an warrior with black and red armour emerged from the portal with the spirit of a white swan. (Level 8: 2600 ATK, 2200 DEF)

Cassandra, Galyan, Alistair, Zevran, Leliana and Alexius gasped in awe as they looked at this new monster. "When this card is summoned, you take 200 points of damage for every Fire Formation card on my field, currently I have 2 so that's 400 life points coming your way," Dorian declared as Swan fired two puffs of white smoke which surrounded Lucius.

Lucius: 100
Dorian: 200

Lucius now gasped in horror, "Oh no, your Swan has more attack points than my dragon, which means…" Before he could finish his sentence, Cassandra interrupted,

"That's right Lucius, it's over, take him down Dorian!" Cassandra said.

"I intend to!" bellowed Dorian, "Fire Fist Swan attack Dark End Dragon and end this duel!" Swan let its white spirit form flap its wings which knocked Dark End Dragon over onto the ground, disintegrating it and Lucius was sent flying into the edge of his force field."

Lucius: 0000
Dorian: 200 (winner)

"Alright!" Zevran cheered

"He did it." Alistair cheered.

The force field disappeared and Cassandra walked over to Lucius' fallen body, Lucius was conscious but only just. Then Cassandra struck Lucius in the face which knocked him out cold. "Hate can only bring more hate!" she spat "Byron taught me that."

"I sure did." Came a voice and Cassandra turned to see Byron enter along with Daniel and several other Seekers. "I was able to get the Seekers to see reason and many of them helped me when I revealed the Lord Seeker's treachery."

"I still can't believe that our own Commanding Officer turned against us." Daniel sighed "He's been a Seeker for years."

"He was mad." Cassandra stated "But that doesn't matter now, take him away Byron, he'll answer for his crimes."

"You heard here." Byron shouted as two Seekers grabbed the unconscious Byron and carried him out of the Warehouse.

"Well now that we've dealt with him, I can finally reactivate the portal" Alexius stated "That Duel has created enough energy to reopen the portal."

"Well we better get started." Cassandra stated "Dorian and I will go and find Aristide."

"And so are we." Alistair stated as he stepped forward with Zevran and Leliana.

"Absolutely not!" Dorian stated "We've already got too many people in danger already, we can't put anyone else in danger."

"We don't care!" Leliana snapped "Those people helped us and now it's our turn. They would have done it for us."

"We're not taking no for an answer." Zevran added "We're going."

Dorian sighed, he didn't like putting more students in danger but it was clear that they would not be convinced "Alright, but you stay with us at all times."

"Understood." The three friends stated.

The Dimension of Dragons:

"So what happened after that?" Kallian questioned.

"Well Alexius opened the portal" Leliana stated "And all of us came to this world but then we ran into a problem."

"What kind of problem?" Aedan asked

"We got caught by a group of hostile soldiers dressed like the guards here" Alistair stated "We all fought them but the three of us were defeated and even though Dorian and Cassandra were able to beat their opponents, the soldiers grabbed us and threw smoke and got away. They dragged us here and we've been here ever since. It wasn't that long ago though."

"So what do we do now?" Zevran questioned

Daylen looked out of a barred window "Well I'm sure at this very moment, our remaining friends are preparing to fight the Warrior Faction, hopefully they will come here and help us."

Meanwhile, far away from Aeonar, the army of the Spellcaster Faction had reached the Bufferlands. Commander Fiona stopped and looked at her new allies led by Solona. "Well, the Warrior Faction attacked us but now it's our turn." She stated "It's time to fight back but I'm still worried, the Warrior Faction has proven that they can push us back and are much stronger than us."

"If we're going to beat them then we will need some allies to help us." Solona stated

"I was thinking that myself." Fiona stated "But rogue Spellcasters have been a bad influence on the Bufferlands."

"Then we just need to prove to these minor factions that we're not the bad guys here." Neria stated "And I think I know where to start."

Notes: Well it's been a long time but I've finally updated this story. I know this story isn't my most popular but I'm still a fan of Yu Gi Oh. And so is my brother who I let write the duel for this story so I need to give him credit for the duel and he may be writing more duels in the future.
