Ancient Chaos:
Aeonar prison was located in a mountainous region. The region was filled with rocky hills and large valleys that were often hidden as well as many caverns. Aeonar was the only place that occupied the region as much of the valley was difficult to explore. That was why Fiona and her army had managed to camp and hide in one of the large caverns. She knew that some of these caverns were secret tunnels under Aeonar prison and she hoped to use these to her advantage just like she had done with Redcliffe. Aeonar would not be easy to take, the prison was a massive tower built into the mountains and the path leading up to the tower was the perfect spot for an ambush.
Fiona stood around a map with Solona and her friends along with Anders and Speaker Anais from the Wind Faction.
"This prison will not be easy to take." Fiona stated "The Warriors will be fighting hard now, this is their home territory and they will defend it."
"That may be their plan." Anais stated "My followers have seen that Commander Meredith has left Aeonar in Alrik's hands. He's going to defend this place until the last man."
Anders snorted "Otto Alrik!" he spat "I would love to take that man to face charges for his crimes."
Solona was confused "Who is this Otto Alrik?" she asked
"Commander Meredith's second in command." Fiona stated
"And the worst of the worst of the Warriors." Anders added "Meredith may be cruel but she believes that what she is doing is best even if she's wrong. Alrik on the other hand is a bloody sadist; he's the one who's responsible for raiding the Bufferlands in the name of the Warriors and turning people into crystals. He enjoys inflicting and takes great pleasure is seeing people suffer during a duel. He makes duelling unfair to his opponent, I once heard that he forces people to use duel disks that inflict pain when they lose life points but he doesn't."
"That's not right at all!" Jaden hissed
"No which is why he needs to face justice for what's he's done." Anders agreed.
"First of all, we need to capture his and Aeonar." Fiona reminded "We know these caverns lead into Aeonar through the cells but the Warriors might know this. The scouts have already reported that some of the tunnels have been caved in."
"There has to be a way in though." Solona stated "My brother is in there."
"And so are Kallian and Aedan." Neria added.
"We'll find them." Anders stated "But I'm worried they may have already been moved or worse, turned into crystals."
Solona narrowed her eyes "If those bastards have harmed my brother or my friends in any way then they will pay!"
Solona's friends were shocked at her anger "Whoa Solona, I haven't seen you this angry before" Theorn stated
Solona sighed "I'm sorry, I'm just frustrated. First these Venatori kidnap me and bring me here and now we have to fight a war just to try and stick together. I'll be happy for this to be over with and then we can go home."
"I hope so too." Crowler agreed "This place is far too dangerous for my liking."
"This is worse than anything I've faced before." Zane added
"I just hope our friends are okay." Alexis stated
Then a scout arrived "Have you managed to find a tunnel that will take us into Aeonar?" Fiona asked the scout,
"No Grand Enchanter." The scout replied "But I did see two people approaching the camp?"
"Warrior scouts?" Anders questioned
"I don't think so." The scout replied "One looks like a Spellcaster and the other wore armour but did not have the symbol of the Warrior Faction. They wished to ask for directions."
"Why would they ask for directions?" Fiona questioned
"I have no idea but they did give their names." The scout responded "They call themselves Cassandra and Dorian."
Solona and her friends widened their eyes at those names "Wait, can we see them, if they're the people I'm thinking then they're friends of ours." Aristide stated.
The scout looked at Fiona who nodded and the scout led Solona's group outside to meet the new arrivals.

Dorian and Cassandra waited at the entrance to the camp. They hoped they could find directions or some help in locating Aristide and any of the other missing people. They needed to find them before any of them got seriously hurt; Dorian noticed that most of the people in the camp wore clothing similar to his, robes that looked like a mage would wear. Cassandra was eyed with suspicion, she wore a set of black armour that was engraved with a white eye, and this was actually the same symbol used by the Seekers back on their world.
"So what do you think will happen?" Dorian asked
"I don't know." Cassandra replied "Hopefully our friends are safe. I would hate to learn that one of our people has been hurt or worse killed, this world doesn't seem safe at all."
"Indeed." Dorian agreed "The sooner we find Aristide and the others, the better."
"Well that will be sooner than you think." A voice called which made Dorian and Cassandra gasp and turn around to see Aristide who had spoken. Behind him, they saw most of the people who had travelled in to this world. The only people missing were Aedan, Kallian, Daylen and the three who had come with Cassandra and Dorian, Zevran, Leliana and Alistair.
"Professor Dorian!" Solona gasped "So it really is you."
"It is indeed." Dorian replied "I'm glad to see that you are all safe."
"We had feared the worst." Cassandra added "We hoped to get information to find you but it seems most of you are here."
"Once we rescue Daylen, Aedan and Kallian, we'll be together again." Aristide replied
"Rescue?" Dorian questioned
"They were captured." Theorn stated "By the Warrior Faction, they're imprisoned in the tower here."
Cassandra and Dorian looked at each other "If your friends are there then maybe that's where Alistair, Leliana and Zevran were taken."
That caught Solona and her friends by surprise. "Wait, what are those three doing here?" Chazz exclaimed.
"They were never with us when the portal opened when we came here to find Solona." Alexis added
Dorian sighed "Cassandra and I were able to open up another portal and when they found out what happened, they insisted on coming with us."
"We tried to talk them out of it but they wouldn't take no for an answer." Cassandra added "When we arrived here we were ambushed by soldiers. They caught the three of them."
"If they're captured then they're most likely in Aeonar along with Daylen, Aedan and Kallian." Aristide stated "We can break them all out together."
"Just as soon as we find a way inside." Solona reported "They're supposed to be a tunnel that will lead us into the prison through one of the caves but they all seemed to be caved in."
Cassandra and Dorian looked at each other "Actually, we think we know a tunnel that can help you." Dorian stated
"You do." Aristide stated "Where?"
"Not far from here." Dorian replied "Our gang stayed there for a while before we were attacked. The cave had a long tunnel where Cass and I got a bad feeling so we left quickly."
Fiona, who had heard what the two of them said, approached them "So you two are friends of these people?" she questioned
"We are." Cassandra stated "And if our companions are imprisoned in this Aeonar then we will help you."
Fiona looked at them for a second and then nodded "To take Aeonar we will have to try and capture the commander. If we use this tunnel you found then hopefully we can get into Aeonar and take it from the inside. Do the Warriors know about this tunnel?"
Cassandra and Dorian looked at each other and then Dorian stated "To be honest, we don't know for certain."
"If this tunnel is not sealed then chances are they don't know about it." Anders stated "If they did then it would have been sealed."
"Then it is decided." Fiona stated "We'll sneak through this tunnel and then we use the element of surprise to capture the prison before the Warriors can prepare a defence. If we capture Otto Alrik then the Warriors may give up just like they did at Redcliffe, seeing their leader fall will weaken their spirit."
"Hopefully." Cassandra replied "Now come on, Dorian and I will take you to the tunnel we found."

At the Warrior Capital of Kirkwall, Commander Meredith sat in her office. Her grand plan to restore order to this world and to destroy the biggest enemies in this world, the spellcasters, was starting to come apart. They had lost many good Warriors at Andoral's Reach and at Redcliffe. To make matters worse, the Spellcasters had used their foul magic to corrupt the Bufferlands people to join them. Even worse than that, Thrask and his band of rebel Warriors were gaining more followers and criticism of her rule increased.
Meredith was now in her office with her new highest ranking Officer, Ser Mettin along with Ser Cullen who had bad news for her "Several High ranking Warriors had deserted us and joined Thrask's rebels." Mettin stated.
"Among them are Agatha, Barris and Irminric." Cullen added "And there is more, we are beginning to lose the support of the people. Many of them are starting to believe Thrask's words about you going insane. They're starting to demand that you step down."
"THE FOOLS!" Meredith snarled "Why can't the people understand that I'm doing this to protect them from the curse and the stupidity of the Spellcasters!" she let out a few deep breaths and then looked at Cullen "Cullen, have you tracked down Thrask's followers."
Cullen nodded "I have, they seem to have a base in the Vimmark Mountain Range around Mount Sundermount."
"Go there then Cullen!" Meredith ordered "Take a small force and bring down these traitors. I cannot allow them to ruin years of work."
Cullen nodded "It will be done Commander. I will bring these rebels to heel." He left the room leaving Mettin and Meredith along.
Mettin looked concerned "Commander, I know you trust Cullen but I must voice my displeasure at having an outsider in such a high position of power. It goes against our traditions."
"Who cares about traditions?" Meredith hissed "The past is the past. Ser Brandis would be proud that his deck is being used to unite the world against a major threat."
"But if Cullen finds out the truth of what you did, then he might turn on us." Mettin added "And what's worse is that he has valuable secrets that we don't want the Spellcasters to learn about."
"I wouldn't worry about that." Meredith replied "Even if Thrask tells him, Cullen won't believe it. He fully believes the Spellcasters destroyed his home. And he won't forget what I did for him. When he first arrived here, everyone hated him because he was an outsider but he proved to be a skilled duellist and loyal to me. His talents were wasted in the Bufferlands; I did him a favour by removing the threat to his beliefs. Without me, he would be nothing."
Mettin wasn't so sure but he would never go against Commander Meredith. So he bowed and left the room to help prepare and train the Warrior Recruits.

Cassandra and Dorian led Fiona and the Spellcaster army to the cave they found and showed them the tunnel they'd found when they had been here before. This tunnel did lead them into Aeonar as they soon came into what looked like an old library after they broke through a weakened wall.
The room was filled with bookshelves that were filled with old tomes; most of them had gone mouldy because of the moisture and were unreadable. The room was also a laboratory of some kind as there were jars on the shelves, some filled with blood and others filled with the remains of creatures but they had long since decayed.
"This place is creepy?" Neria stated "What is this place?"
"Hundreds of years ago, Aeonar was a prison for the Dragon Faction." Fiona stated "Many people see the Ancient Dragon Faction as a powerful nation that built an Empire. But few people know that the Dragon Faction crushed any who opposed them. This place was a prison where people were tortured for information. But this laboratory had another dark secret."
"What kind of secret?" Jaden asked
"During the Ancient wars against the Zombie and Fiend Factions, Aeonar was taken over by a dark sorceress known as the Blood Queen."
"The Blood Queen?" Aristide questioned
"A dark sorceress who was one of the leaders of the Fiends." Anders stated "It was said she created dark and powerful creatures in this laboratory. In fact she defended Aeonar strongly against the Warrior and Spellcasters when they besieged this place. That battle cost many lives and in the end, the Blood Queen escaped. No one knows what happened afterwards."
Theorn looked at Solona who suddenly seemed unsteady on her feet. She had a hand on her head and her eyes seemed dizzy "Hey, you okay Solona?" he asked
Solona let out a sigh and leaned against a wall "I feel lightheaded all of a sudden." She admitted "It must be the stress and worry for my friends. Just give me a second to catch my breath"
Aristide looked concerned for his daughter "Solona, if you're unwell, then I'll take you back to camp."
Solona shook her head "No father, my brother is here. I'm coming to help get him and the others back." She insisted "I won't let this headache get the better of me."
Aristide as well as Theorn looked concerned "Solona, I don't want you pushing yourself too hard."
"Let's get out of here then." Fiona stated "We have to make our way up towards the main Tower. If Alrik is anywhere, it's there."
They made their way out of the laboratory and up a set of stairs which led them into some cells. These cells were empty but they could see the remains of prisoners who had been dead for a long time.
"The deep pits." Fiona stated "That's what they called these cells, hidden deep underground where no one could hear them scream. Prisoners here often went mad here and often used as test subjects by the Blood Queen."
"I'm surprised the Warriors never used these cells." Anders stated "They're sadist enough to use them."
"I think I know why." Neria stated and they looked at what she was looking at, the staircase up to the next floor was caved in."
"Dam it!" Fiona swore "How are we going to get up to the tower now?"
Zane looked at Crowler "Our monsters are real here?" he questioned
"They are." Crowler stated "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Zane smiled "One of your monsters can drill through that rubble" he stated
Crowler looked confused but then realised what Zane was saying. He activated his duel disk and everyone looked at him "Stand back." He ordered "Ancient Gear Soldier, come on out with Ancient Gear Drill." Crowler's soldier appeared with a drill replacing his cannon and began drilling through the rubble. "And he'll get assistance from Ancient Gear Engineer." Another monster with a drill appeared and began helping move the rubble until the way up was clear.
"Way to go Crowler!" Jaden cheered
"I never would have thought of that." Aristide smiled.
"Nevertheless, the way up is clear." Anders stated "Now let's carry on."
They went up the stairs and came into a storage room and then the next floor was where the cells were with the prisoners in. They soon began freeing them one by one.
"We're taking this tower people." Fiona stated to them "If we take Aeonar then we'll send a message to the Warriors, now where is the Commander?"
"Otto Alrik is in the commander's tower." One prisoner stated "He took a group of prisoners there to question them about some dragon girl."
Solona looked at her father in worry "We have to get up there fast. My brother and friends could be in serious trouble."
Fiona nodded "Anders take the main part of the army and provide a distraction. Take the prison and I'll go and take care of Alrik."
"Fine." Anders stated
"I'm coming with you." Solona stated "My brother is up there."
"Me too. Daylen is my son." Aristide added
Dorian looked at them "It wouldn't be wise that we all go, too many of us heading up the tower will attract unwanted attention."
"Fine." Alexis stated "Some of us will aid Anders in his distraction."
"Those with larger monsters will be of more use fighting." Zane stated "Fighting in confided spaces with large monsters is not wise."
"Fine." Chazz stated as his a-z monsters were massive "I'll go with Anders."
Soon the groups split up. Solona along with Aristide, Alexis, Jaden, Neria, Dorian and Theorn went with Fiona. Chazz as well as Zane and Cassandra went with Anders. Crowler eventually went with Fiona as he wanted to ensure the others were fine. Anders also took the Spellcaster army and prepared to start fighting the Warriors.
Fiona kept her group in a small storage room while Anders took his group to provide a distraction so they could clear the way. They saw the door that would take them to Alrik's office and knew that Alrik would be up there.
Anders led his group over to the door that left the main tower and into the courtyard. They all activated their duel disks and Zane started by summoning Cyber Dragon to start the fight with a bang when the dragon blasted the door which startled the Warriors.
"Alright everyone." Anders stated "Now we take this prison."
Fiona watched from her hiding spot to wait until she felt they could get up the tower to confront Alrik. She watched as some Warriors ran from the door that would take them up the tower, they must have been with Alrik and the blast from Cyber Dragon had alerted him. Eventually, Fiona felt like they could go up the tower and led them all up a large staircase.
They soon came into another large room but it seemed there were several Warriors waiting for them. "You there!" one shouted "Stop right there!"
Jaden activated his duel disk "I've got this." He stated
"Same here." Alexis added
"I'll stay and help." Neria added.
"Will you three be alright?" Solona asked
"We'll be fine Solona." Alexis stated "You carry on and help the others."
Solona nodded and she along with Fiona, Aristide, Crowler and Theorn carried on up another set of stairs until they came to a large wooden door that was locked.
"This is it." Fiona stated "This is Alrik's office. Stand back while I get the door."
Fiona knocked the door open with a large kick and they looked at what was in the room. Otto Alrik stood at the far side of the room with a duel disk activated and Solona saw her brother Daylen about to duel him. Zevran, Leliana, Aedan and Kallian were chained to the far side of the room.
Alrik sneered "So, Grand Enchanter Fiona, I should have guess you had something to do with that noise I heard earlier. And I see you've brought the dragon girl with you."
"I came here to save my friends and my brother!" Solona hissed
"And we're going to make you pay for what you've done to the people!" Fiona yelled "You've committed so many crimes, so much suffering and it was all because you liked to see people suffer. At least Meredith believed in the cause."
Alrik laughed "The weak cower before the strong and soon the Warriors will be on top of all the other factions just like the Ancient Dragon Faction were."
"That'll never happen!" Aristide yelled "Now release my son and the others! We outnumber you."
Alrik laughed "I'll never go down without a fight, if you want them then duel me. I have plenty of time to take you all. But if you want them, then free them, you'll never get out of here." He then a key which Dorian caught
As Dorian and Aristide began freeing the others from the chains, Dorian noticed someone was missing, "Wait, where's Alistair?" he questioned "Wasn't he with you."
Solona noticed Daylen and the others heads lower "Brother what happened?" she asked "What happened to Alistair."
Daylen sighed and reached into his pocket "He's right here." He showed a purple crystal and everyone gasped, now they knew what happen to Alistair.
"That bastard turned him into a crystal!" Kallian yelled
"And not only that, he ruthlessly hurt him using an electric Duel disk!" Zevran added "He laughed when he felt pain, only a coward takes enjoyment at his opponent's pain!"
Alrik laughed "Like I said, he was weak" he sneered "Now which one of you wishes to join him?"
Solona was about to step forward but was held back by Crowler "Oh no Solona." He stated "If anyone here is going to face him, it's going to be me. After no, no one messes with my students!" Crowler was beyond angry that one of his best students had been turned into a crystal. There was no way he was going to allow that to happen.
"Crowler, are you sure?" Dorian asked
"This guy is no pushover." Aedan added as he was free from his chains "He knows how to duel."
"Well I know how to duel as well!" Crowler hissed "I spend nine years in a duelling school and I have a PhD in duelling."
Alrik smirked "I have no idea what that means but nevertheless, let's get on with it." He activated his duel disk and places his deck in it while Crowler did the same and the two of them drew their opening hands.
"DUEL!"
Crowler: 8000
Alrik: 8000
"Since I'm the superior Officer here, I'll start this duel." Alrik sneered as he drew his sixth card "And I'll start by summoning Noble Knight Artorigus in attack mode." A Warrior wearing normal armour appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1800 Defence 1800). "And since he's a Light normal monster, I can special summon Noble Knight Gawayn in defence mode." Another warrior dressed in armour appeared on the field kneeling down. "But I'll allow him to be stronger by playing the spell card Stop Defence which switches him into attack mode. And now I will end my turn."
Daylen watched the duel "Alrik pulled a similar move when he duelled Alistair." He stated
"Yeah, Alrik duels with Warriors and he often relies on his equip spells." Zevran added
"Crowler may be able to counter that." Aristide stated
"I just hope Crowler doesn't underestimate Alrik." Kallian stated "This guy is an expert."
"And so is Crowler." Solona stated
"My move." Crowler stated as he drew his card and smirked at what he had "Alright, I'll start by throwing two cards facedown. And then I'll activate the spell card Heavy Storm. This destroys all Spell and traps on the field."
Alrik Laughed "I can't believe how stupid you are. I have no spells or traps and you have two. What is the point of that?"
Crowler as well as the others except Fiona smiled, they all knew what Crowler was doing, he played this trick before "This is the point of what I did." As his facedown cards were blown away, two large golden statue monsters appeared on the field.
Fiona was confused "What are those?" she asked
"They're wicked tokens." Solona stated "The two facedown cards were known as Statue of the Wicked, when they're destroyed, they summon a Wicked Token. Crowler has pulled this move before."
"And now he can use them to summon a more powerful monster" Aedan smirked
"I sacrifice both my wicked tokens which will allow me to summon Ancient Gear Golem in attack mode." Crowler stated and his tokens vanished and formed a large machine made of rusty metal that stood over the field (Level 8 Attack 3000 Defence 3000). For the first time, Alrik was shocked, he had never seen anything like this before "And now Gear Golem, Attack that Artorigus with Mechanized Melee." The Golem threw back his fist and punched Artorigus which struck the ground and created a shockwave that blew Alrik back.
Crowler: 8000
Alrik: 6800
"And just to be safe, I'll throw one card facedown." Crowler finished
"Alright!" Theorn cheered "Crowler dealt him damage and summoned one of his best monsters on his first turn."
Alrik narrowed his eyes "You got lucky punk!" he growled "And I'll show you, I summon Noble Knight Drystan in attack mode." A red haired man with a lyre appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1800 Defence 800). "And now I'll equip him with the spell card Noble Arms Excaliburm, now Drystan cannot be targeted by your card effects but that's not the reason why I activated this card, now Drystan's ability activates since I equipped him with a Noble Arms card. Now I can destroy that monstrous Golem." Crowler and the others gasped as Drystan charged forward and slashed the Golem with his new sword that replaced his lyre which then crumbled leaving Crowler defenceless.
"And now, both my monsters will attack you directly." Alrik added as Drystan and Gawayn slashed Crowler which made him howl in pain.
Crowler: 4300
Alrik: 6800.
Crowler fell to his knees in pain 'I actually felt those attacks!"' he thought 'This is just like a Shadow Game.'
Alrik laughed "I guess you really were lucky. You're just like all the others; you don't stand a chance against me."
"You're wrong!" Solona yelled "You're the one who doesn't stand a chance, you forget, there's only one of you and plenty of us."
Alrik smirked "Then how about you duel me instead Dragon Girl?"
"Never!" Crowler hissed as he go up "You've already harmed one of my students, I won't let you harm another. Besides, this duel is not over as you've triggered my trap, Damage Condenser, now I can summon a monster from my deck with less attack points than I just took. And so I summon Ancient Gear Wyvern in attack mode." A large mechanical Wyvern made of scrap metal appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1700 Defence 1200). "And now since he was special summoned, I can add one Ancient Gear card from my deck to my hand so I'll add Ancient Gear Castle to my hand."
"Fine!" Alrik snorted "Those new cards won't help you anyway, my monsters are stronger."
"Maybe for now but I have something else." Crowler stated "I activate the spell card Ancient Gear Castle." A massive castle appeared behind Crowler "Now all of my Ancient Gears gain 300 attack points. I also summon Ancient Gear Knight in attack mode." A mechanical warrior appeared on the field armed with a large spear and a shield (Level 4 Attack 1800 Defence 500). And thanks to the castle, both the Knight and Wyvern gained 300 attack points. (AGW Attack 1700-2000, AGK Attack 1800-2100). "Now my monsters are stronger than yours, now take them out." Ancient Gear Knight struck Drystan while Wyvern swooped and slashed Gawayn with his talons and both monsters shattered.
Crowler: 4300
Alrik: 6300
"That will be all for me." Crowler finished.
Aristide looked at the duel "Crowler may have made a comeback but Alrik still has more life points."
Alrik narrowed his eyes and drew his card. His eyes weren't happy, he didn't have any cards with enough attack points to destroy Crowler's monsters but he could hold them off "I summon Big Shield Gardna in defence mode and that will be all." A Muscular man wielding a massive shield appeared on the field protecting Alrik. (Level 4 Attack 100 Defence 2600.)
Fiona looked at this "I guess Alrik didn't have anything in his hand that could help, Crowler should take advantage of this."
"But none of his monsters are strong enough to destroy that Gardna." Kallian stated
"Just you wait." Crowler called having heard everything as he drew his card "Everything is under control."
Solona sighed "I hope he knows what he's doing." She muttered.
Crowler looked at his hand, while his monsters were good; there was nothing in his hand that could destroy that Gardna. His Golem was in his graveyard and he had no card that could get it back. But then he remembered something, he did have something that could help, one of the new cards he gained from the Temple of Andoral, he had looked at them and remembered one of the abilities from one of them. He smirked "I guess it's time I give a lesson to my students, a lesson in what I've learnt. But first of all, I summon Ancient Gear Soldier in attack mode." A mechanical soldier with a chain gun as an arm appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1300 Defence 1300.) "But he won't be around for long as now I'll use him and my Wyvern in order to build the overlay network."
Crowler's friends all gasped "Wait, the Overlay Network?" Daylen gasped
"He's going to XYZ summon?" Aedan questioned "When did Crowler learn how to do that?"
"Shortly after we were reunited after the Battle at Andoral's Reach." Solona admitted "Some of us gained some new cards at the Temple; Crowler is using one of them now."
"I am indeed." Crowler smirked as his soldier and Wyvern turned into black particles and sucked into a portal "With the power of Ancient Iron and the Earth, I create a powerful machine that can drill to recover the old, I XYZ summon Ancient Gear Miner." A new Ancient Gear monster appeared from the portal, this was had a drill for one hand and in the other, it held a massive rusty pickaxe and two overlay units surrounding him (Rank 4 Attack 2000 Defence 1500). The Miner also gained attack points thanks to the castle (AGM Attack 2000-2300).
"Now that's impressive." Kallian stated
"And it gets better." Crowler smirked "By using two overlay units, my Golem can bring one monster back from the graveyard onto the field, so that means by Golem's back." The overlay units were absorbed by Ancient Gear Miner's core and then he drilled into the ground until a blast was seen and the Golem was back on the field "Although because I used his ability, my Miner cannot attack this turn. But my Golem can still destroy your Big Shield and if you think it being in defence mode is going to protect you then forget it, because my Golem deals piercing damage. Now Attack mechanized Melee." The Golem threw his fist and destroyed Gardna, dealing damage to Alrik.

"And don't think I forgot about my Knight, now attack." Crowler added and the Knight slashed Alrik with his spear.

"That will do it for me." Crowler finished.
"Their life points are almost even and your friend now has three good monsters on his field." Fiona commented "Impressive but Alrik is not going to forget that."
"I sure will not!" Alrik snarled "You've made me look like a fool for the last time. I'll show you what true Warriors can do. First I play the spell card Pot of Greed to draw two cards." Alrik drew two cards from his deck "Next I summon Noble Knight Pellinore in attack mode." A white haired warrior on a horse appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1900 Defence 500). "And now I equip him with Noble Arms Caliburn which gives him an extra 500 attack points." A new sword appeared in Pellinore's arm (NKP Attack 1900-2400) "And now Pellinore, show that Knight how real Warriors fight." Pellinore charge forward on his horse and swung his sword destroying Ancient Gear Knight.

"And now I will end my turn by throwing one card facedown and activating the effect of Caliburn so I gain 500 life points." Alrik finishes as the sword glowed and Alrik glowed as well.

'That facedown has to be a trap.' Crowler thought as he drew his card 'I'll have to be careful.'
Before Crowler could do anything else, Alrik stated "I play my facedown, Thunder of Ruler, now you can't start your Battle Phase this turn."
Crowler sighed, he may not be able to attack but he could boast his defence. "I summon Green Gadget in defence mode." A large Cog with green body parts surrounding it appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1400 Defence 600), "And since he was summoned, I can add Red Gadget to my hand from my deck. Then I'll throw one card facedown and end my turn."
"My move." Alrik smirked "And I summon Noble Knight Gwalchavad in attack mode and equip him with Noble Arms Gallatin to give him an extra 1000 attack points." A blond haired warrior wielding a large sword appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1500-2500, Defence 1800). "And then I'll activate Pellinore's special ability, now by destroying the Noble Arms equipped to him, I can destroy that Golem and draw an extra card." The sword disappeared from Pellinore and swooped through the Golem and destroyed him. "However my Pellinore can't attack when his ability is activated by I can still take out that Miner so attack." Gwalchavad charged towards Ancient Gear Miner and destroyed him.

"And now I will end my turn with that." Alrik finished.
Aedan was confused "Hey, why didn't Alrik use his sword's ability?"
"What do you mean?" Solona questioned
"Well when he destroyed that Noble Arms, he could have equipped it to Gwalchavad to increase its attack points but why didn't he?"
"I don't know." Daylen admitted "But Alrik must have a plan; Crowler will need to be careful.
Crowler drew his card and looked at it "My Golem may be gone but my Gadget will still have its uses" he stated "But first I play my facedown card, Jar of Greed which allows me to draw one card." Crowler drew one card from his deck "Next I'll sacrifice my Green Gadget in order to summon Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera in attack mode." A massive mechanical Chimera made of rusty metal appeared on the field (Level 6 Attack 2300 Defence 1300). "And my monster has a special ability depending on which Gadget monster I used to summon him, since I used Green Gadget, he gains 300 attack points plus and extra 300 because of my castle." The Chimera glowed as he gained more attack points (AGGC Attack 2300-2900). "And now, take out that Pellinore!" Crowler ordered and the Chimera pounced onto Pellinore and crushed him.

"I shall end my turn with by throwing one card facedown." Crowler finished
"Well at least Crowler has a strong monster on his field again." Aristide stated
"But Alrik has already destroyed his Golem twice." Leliana stated "I just hope Crowler can pull through."
"Otherwise Alistair isn't the only one who will be gone." Daylen added holding Alistair's crystal

Outside in Aeonar courtyard, Anders along with Anais and the other Spellcaster allies had finished fighting in the courtyard.
"Anders." Anais called "Our new friends Zane and Chazz save secured the barracks. This whole region is secure."
"Good." Anders stated "Stay here with our friends; find any more Warriors in hiding. I'm going to go and check on Grand Enchanter Fiona, she may have captured Alrik by now and hopefully he can stand trial for his crimes." Anais nodded and Anders ran off back into the tower to try and find Fiona and the others who went looking for Alrik.

Alrik drew his card "I'll start by activating Gwalchavad's effect, now by sacrificing the Noble Arms card equipped to him, Noble Knight Gawayn returns to my hand from the graveyard." Gawayn returned to Alrik's hand "Then I play the spell card Graceful Charity, now I draw three cards as long as I discard two." Alrik drew three cards and discarded Noble Arms of Destiny and Noble Arms Caliburn. "Next I play Noble Sacrifice, now by sacrificing Gwalchavad; I can draw two new cards from my deck." Gwalchavad vanished and Alrik drew two cards from his deck "And now I'll summon Noble Knight Brothers in attack mode." A group of three blond haired warriors appeared on the field (Level 4 Attack 1200 Defence 2400)
"Oh great." Zevran groaned "Now he's going to increase the number of monsters on his field."
"I sure am." Alrik smirked "Since I summoned the brothers, I can special summon two more Noble Knights from my hand, so I summon Gawayn as well as Noble Knight Bedwyr." Gawayn returned to the field along with a white haired warrior (Level 4 Attack 1600 Defence 1500). "And now I'll use Noble Knight Brothers and Noble Knight Bedwyr to build the overlay network."
"Oh boy, not that monster." Daylen groaned
Alrik smirked "Oh yes, it's time to meet the King of the Noble Knights. Behold as two brave and noble warriors join forces to form the most ancient and noble royalty. I XYZ summon Artorigus, King of the Noble Knights." A warrior wearing white armour and black hair showed off his sword as he appeared (Rank 4 Attack 2000 Defence 2000). But what, why stop there when I can make the King even stronger."
"I don't like the sound of this." Aristide stated
Alrik laughed "I remove Noble Arms Excaliburm from my graveyard." He stated "This allows me to upgrade my King into something even more sacred, watch as my King is granted a sacred power from the Gods, Rank up XYZ revolution. I XYZ summon Sacred Noble Knight of King Artorigus." The King vanished and was replaced by a red haired warrior in heavy armour and wielding two swords. (Rank 5 Attack 2200 Defence 2200.) "And now I'll activate his ability, now I can equip three Noble Arms cards from my graveyard to him, so Gallatin, Caliburn and arms of destiny are equipped to him which gives him an extra 1500 attack points.." The Sacred Knight's two swords were placed with two new swords while a third appeared on his deck (SNKOKA Attack 2200-3700). "And it gets better, now I place my Sacred Knight's other ability, now I get to use one Overlay unit and destroy that Chimera." Crowler gasped as one overlay unit was absorbed by the Sacred Knight's sword and then the Knight charged and destroyed the Chimera. "And just to add insult to injury, I'll play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your castle once and for all." A typhoon destroyed the Castle.
But Crowler smirked, normally he would have been finished but he still had one more card to play. Alrik had made a mistake in not destroying it "I play my facedown card, Call of the Haunted which allows me to bring my Golem back to the field in attack mode." Crowler's Golem appeared once again.
Alrik growled, he had a chance to win this and he had wasted the card that could win him the duel, if he still had his Typhoon then he could have destroyed the Golem leaving Crowler defenceless. "Well, I guess my Sacred Knight will have to take out that Golem again." The Sacred Knight charged and slashed his swords destroying the Golem.

"And I still have my Gawayn to attack with so attack him directly." Alrik added and the Knight slashed Crowler which made him groan and collapse

"Crowler!" Aristide yelled
"I'm fine." He stated
Alrik laughed "You may have survived this turn but on my next turn, you're finished!" he sneered

Down below, Jaden, Alexis and Neria were on the verge of ending their duel. Neria had Celestia, Lightsworn Angel, Alexis had Cyber Angel Dakini and Jaden had his old favourite Flame Wingman while their opponent had Gearfried the Swordmaster. Right now it was Jaden's turn. "I play the Field spell Skyscraper so now when my Heroes attack a stronger monster, he gains 1000 attack points, it over, now Flame Wingman, destroy the Swordmaster." Flame Wingman jumped from the building he was standing on and swooped through Gearfried, with Wingman's ability, the duel was over and the Warriors collapsed.
Just as the duel ended, Anders arrived "Are you three alright?" he asked
"We're fine." Alexis stated "The others carried on up the tower."
"Then let's go." Anders stated "Hopefully they've been able to capture Alrik, there is no way I'm going to let him get way with what he's done." The four of them ran up the stairs to Alrik's office.

Crowler's situation did not look good, that Sacred Knight was more powerful than anything Crowler could summon and even if he did summon something to defend him, that Sacred Knight's ability would destroy it and leave him wide open. Crowler was in trouble and he knew it. But Crowler had a PHD in duelling and there was no way he was going to give up. Crowler may get scared at times but he was not going to back down so easily especially in front of his students. He had one chance, one draw and he needed something good. But he knew that sometimes, one card was all it took to turn a duel around. Crowler hoped that luck would be on his side so he drew his card. He closed his eyes for a second and then looked at the card. At first he was confused, the card he drew was Overload Fusion, this would allow him to summon a Dark fusion monster using monsters from his field and grave but his Ancient Gear monsters were Earth Attribute, not dark. But then he remembered another card he had gotten from the Temple. That was it, that new card was the key to winning this duel.
"I activate the spell card Overload Fusion." Crowler called out.
"Wait, Overload Fusion?" Daylen questioned "How will that help, Crowler's Ancient Gears are Earth Attribute."
"It must be a new one from the Temple." Solona suggested.
"I remove Ancient Gears Golem, Soldier, Chimera and Wyvern from play." Crowler stated as the four Ancient Gear monsters appeared on the field and were then sucked into the portal "When the power of the Ancient machines grow stronger, them form an ultimate machine that will bring Chaos to its enemies, I fusion summon Chaos Ancient Gear Giant." This new massive Ancient Gear monster was the biggest monster Crowler had ever summoned, it was so big that it nearly filled up Alrik's office. Unlike other Ancient Gear monsters, this one was made of blue metal instead of rusty metal (Level 10 Attack 4500 Defence 3000).
"This cannot be!" Alrik gasped
"Now that's how it's done." Aristide stated
"Go get him Crowler." Leliana cheered
"Alright, Chaos Ancient Gear Giant, attack Gawayn!" Crowler ordered and one of the two massive cannons that the Giant had for hands opened fire and fired a massive blue laser blast which struck the field and destroyed Gawayn and blowing Alrik backwards.
Crowler: 1100
Alrik: 700
"Big deal!" Alrik hissed as he got up "You should have gone for my Sacred Knight, when it's my turn I'll destroy that Giant with my Knights ability."
"On your turn?" Crowler questioned and began shaking his finger "Sorry but you're not going to have a turn, this duel is over, you see my Chaos Giant has another ability, it can attack all of your monsters."
"What?" Alrik gasped "NO! I CANNOT LOOSE!"
"Sorry but it's over, Chaos Ancient Gear Giant, end this duel." Crowler ordered and the Chaos Giant fired another shot that created a powerful shockwave and destroyed the Sacred Knight and created a large dust cloud. When the dust cleared, Alrik was lying on his back defeated.
Crowler: 1100 (Winner)
Alrik: 0000
"All right!" Solona cheered
"He did it, he actually did it." Zevran smiled
"That was for Alistair!" Aedan hissed.
Just then the door opened and everyone turned around to see Anders enter along with Jaden, Alexis and Neria.
"Grand Enchanter Fiona." Anders greeted "We've secured the courtyard and the barracks."
"Good, that means Aeonar is ours." Fiona stated "There may still be some Warriors hiding, if any escape, let them. Let them spread word of our victory, it will show the Warriors that they're the ones facing a larger force now."
"Indeed." Anders agreed and looked at Alrik "And what of him?"
Fiona glared at Alrik who was groaning on his back "Take him. He'll face justice for his crimes against the people. A lot of people were harmed by him; they need to see him get justice."
Anders nodded and walked over and dragged Alrik up "Remember me Alrik?" he snarled
Alrik narrowed his eyes "Anders, your cause will fail in the end."
"I doubt it now." Anders hissed "No matter what happens, at least you will pay for your crimes. I'm looking forward to your punishment; at least I'll get justice for Karl."
Alrik laughed "Karl, that spellcaster was weak, he broke quickly and it was fun torturing him until he begged for mercy."
Anders nearly snapped but said nothing, he did not want to react badly in front of Fiona, Alrik was trying to bait him "You'll be going into a cell along with Karras. The two of you will be punished for what you've done."
Alrik laughed "I don't think so." He gave Anders a shove backwards as he tried to place some manacles on Alrik's arms. Alrik swung around and punched Anders only for Anders to grab him hands. The two of them began to fight while the others watched in shock. The fight ended quickly when Anders head butted Alrik which stunned him and made him dizzy. Alrik stumbled backwards and tripped over a fallen chair. He fell backwards into a window that had been weakened during the duel. The widow shattered in an instant and Alrik fell out. Alrik let out a loud scream as he fell towards the ground.
Everyone else in the room was shocked at what they saw, Ser Otto Alrik, the second in command of the Warrior Faction had fallen out of the widow. From the height of the tower, there was no way he could have survived the fall and Anders and Fiona went over and saw his body.
"That was not how I planned it but at least no one else will have to suffer because of him." Fiona stated
"So what now?" Aristide asked
"Your friends are safe but this war is not over yet." Anders stated "We've brought the fight to the Warrior's territory. And now it's time to take the fight to the Warrior's capital. It's time to take the fight to Kirkwall."
"And what of Alistair?" Daylen asked holding Alistair's crystal "He can't stay as a crystal forever?"
"He won't." Anders stated "There will be some way to turn him back; we just need to find out how."
"We'll find that information at Kirkwall hopefully." Fiona stated "But I promise I'll do what I can to get your friend back as well as all the others who were turned into crystals."
Daylen looked at Solona "Hey sis, thanks for coming after us."
"You came to this world for me." Solona stated "We're all in this together and we will get through this together."
Solona and her friends all hugged each other, unaware that something was watching them from outside.

Notes: Well another chapter finished and this ends a major villain of the story. Otto Alrik is dead and he will not be coming back. I had planned for him to die this way but I didn't want one of the Academy characters to do it. I also brought out some new cards for Crowler and next chapter, someone else will have some new cards and we will see a rematch duel as well the return of some old characters. I'm hoping to have a chapter on my Mass Wars story complete but I restart Uni again in September although I doubt I'll have the chapter finished before the end of August as I have a practise piece of coursework to do as well.
